For everyone who is still trying to fill the void in their TV schedule since 30 Rock wrapped up, we have GREAT news.

Tina Fey has been ordered (yes, ordered) to make a new comedy series for TV network, NBC. Hurrah!

After scaling back from comedy in the past year, NBC plans to make a big comedic return as funny gal Ms Fey is in the midst of writing a new show for the channel along with Robert Carlock and Mike Schur.

Mr Carlock and Mr Schur are, of course, known for co-creating 30 Rock as well as Brooklyn Nine-Nine – which were both huge successes.

They already have the outline of what the show will be about and it looks like it is going to be rather enjoyable: it centres on a mother-daughter relationship that is challenged when the overly-involved New Jersey mum gets an internship at her daughter’s workplace, a cable news network.

Even if it's half as funny as 30 Rock, we'll still be watching!

Rihanna has just gone and secured herself a place on American version of the talent show, The Voice.

And so we all assumed that mean she'd be a judge.

NBC revealed the news this week that the singer will be appearing on the forthcoming new season of the show.

However – and here comes the twist, the role is not one of a judge, but she will serve as a "key advisor" to judges Gwen Stefani, Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, and Pharrell Williams.

Rihanna will be in good company though: former advisors include Alicia Keys and Miranda Lambert.

"This is one of music's true supervisors coming on board to influence the lives and careers of the performers," NBC said in the press release.

The show is to air its ninth season from next month and we're hoping with Rihanna on board it will produce some AMAZING super stars.

The gym; chores; healthy eating; being a better person: we all have a loooonng list of things that we always mean to get around to doing.

Sometimes we even dabble for a while – though as plenty of folk will attest, starting up good habits is only half the battle… sticking to them is the real challenge.

Still, there are some great tips and tricks to make an occasional, fleeting fancy into a habit that's second nature…

  • Commit to 30 days: that's how long you need to establish proper sense of discipline and dedication.
  • Make it daily: even skipping the odd day here and there will wreck havoc on your aspirations.
  • Remind yourself why: there are reasons why you want to establish your new habit – remind yourself of those regularly.
  • Get a buddy: have someone you can message and ask, "did you do this/that today? Because I did!"
  • Write it down: set reminders on your phone or write down a 'must do later' message in a diary or on a calendar.

And while the gym can take A LOT of effort and bags of motivation, never mind that eating healthily is a REAL toughie for a whole host of reasons, some important things are rather more straightforward to implement.

Take your daily dose of folic acid for example: it's a cost-efficient supplement that should be a VITAL part of your routine – up there with drinking 2litres of water a day and remembering to ring your mam.

Why? Because if you're having sex, you could get pregnant – and if you do, it's essential that you've been taking folic acid for three months prior to conception, as well as the first three months of pregnancy itself.

Here are a few suggestions for getting your folic acid poa off the ground:

  • Start by weighing up the costs and benefits: folic acid costs just a few cent a day but has MASSIVE benefits – namely a greatly reduced chance of having a child with spina bifida or another neural tube defect.
  • Commit to establishing a new routine: it's only one tiny tablet each day. Decide that you are going to do it and remind yourself that for not very much effort, your baby (even if it’s far into the future) can only benefit.

  • Have a specific time to take it: morning with breakfast is often good. You can also set an alarm on your phone.
  • Be prepared: keep your folic acid handy and just pop it in your handbag.
  • Get chatting: don’t be afraid to talk to your friends about taking it. Taking folic acid doesn’t mean that you are planning a baby. It just means that if you do have a baby sometime in the future, you are already helping to protect their health.

  • Remind yourself how important it is: after a successfully taking folic acid for a fortnight or for a month it might be nice to reward yourself. This could mean buying a magazine, or even a new pair of earrings.

The bottom line is: if you are sexually active and there is a chance (no matter how small) that you could become pregnant then you NEED to take folic acid every day. Simple!

One beauty editor for Elle magazine, April Long, travelled to China to see if the beauty craze of eating collagen was actually real… and what she found there is somewhat shocking.

April recalls how she arrived at a restaurant and subsequently spotted a number of unusual food items on the menu.

Intrigued, she went to talk to the chef about what was on offer.

"Young women, especially, come here to eat donkey hide," the chef told her, adding: "they believe it keeps them beautiful".

The tradition of consuming certain foods to rejuvenate the complexion is a very old one in China, with the practise of ingesting donkey skin dating back to the first century BC.

The theory behind the tradition is that eating something that has a lot of collagen in it will then produce collagen in their own skin as well.

But does it actually work?

Heaps of Chinese and Japanese women absolutely swear by it, with pharmacies and supermarkets in that part of the world filled with fruit-flavoured shots, collagen-infused marshmallows and even a collagen beer called Precious.

They consume an average of 5g of collagen per day. In contrast, in this part of the world we're used to eating skinless and boneless everything, so our diets are virtually devoid of collagen.

April remarked after her trip that "we're only beginning to understand the difference it makes".

But will women living on this side of the world buy into the trend?

Even though there is no hard evidence supporting the craze, Chinese and Japanese women often look much younger than their years – something plenty of Western women would love to tap into.

We're a bit undecided on this one – but don't be surprised if you begin to spot donkey hide in your local health food cafe sometime soon!

Are you getting bored with your hair? If you’re feeling a colour change, you should probably take some time to consider a few things.

We rounded up five of the most important things to consider before you take the plunge. It may not seem like such a big deal now, but in a few washes time when your supposedly blonde hair goes green, you’ll be having second thoughts.

How often do you want to colour your hair?

If you don’t want to end up getting your roots done every three weeks, you need to say so. If you tell your colourist how you feel about touch-ups, then can narrow down a colour situation you can realistically maintain.

Use a hair mask the day before.

This will prep your hair for the colour process to come and make sure it’s nice and hydrated to help your strands survive the colouring treatment.

You need to use some sun protection.

After you dye your hair be prepared to protect it from UV rays in order to avoid brassy and dull colour from taking over.

You also need to protect coloured hair from chlorine.

Your fresh platinum do may take on a green hue before you know it. So wet your hair, or apply conditioner all over, before getting in the pool to keep the cuticles filled in to avoid the chlorine being soaked up.

Not sure what you want? Make sure you know what you don’t want.

If you haven’t fully decided on your chosen colour, then at least be able to tell your hairdresser what it is you definitely don’t want. This can help them narrow down your options. Just remember if you tell them to do whatever they prefer you could end up being none too happy. So have some idea before you go through with it.

There clearly is only one megasuper-star Kim Kardashian West.

She breaks the internet and dominates headlines globally – all the while amassing a millions in earnings annually.

A few years back, Dublin model and all-round gorgeous gal Georgia Salpa attracted the attention of US media when it was observed that she bore a striking similarity to Kimmy.

Although, as we’ve now discovered, she’s certainly not the only one who'd look right at home among the Kardashian clan.

Indeed, it seems that there are quite a few gorgeous faces out here that make you go: "Kay-Kay, is that you?"

Here, SHEmazing! rounds up our five favourites…

Arbia Kidadi

She boasts 58,000 Instagram followers – as well as more than 100,000 Facebook likes. She definitely dresses like the real-deal too: in fact, we reckon she’s one of the most convincing Kim-a-likes going.

Claudia Sampedro

She’s creeping towards a million IG followers, AND she’s also currently pregnant… just like the woman herself. In fact, Claudia even dated Reggie Bush, Kim’s ex, a few years ago – which only gives her added clout, we reckon.

Jimena Sanchez

With 650,000 followers on Instagram, Jimena is seriously popular. She’s a Fox Sports star, although she claims not to see the similarity herself: "I don't think I look anything like her," she’s said previously.

Jelena Karleusha

She’s a Serbian pop star – and although Jelena sports platinum blonde (as well as occasionally blue) hair, the similarities are striking. Ms Karleusha has 650,000 IG fans and even suggested when Ms Kardashian went blonde earlier this year that the reality TV star had ‘copied her’.

Lilit Avagyan

Talk about having a type – Lilit is another Reggie Bush love… although she went on to marry him last year. Also of Armenian descent, she is nevertheless a couple of years younger than Kim: Ms Avagyan is 27 compared to Ms Kardashian’s 34 years.

It’s all anyone has spoken of for months: the character-defining, no holds barred girlie sun holiday abroad.

Yes, there’s the looming likelihood of giant insects, questionable hotel hygiene standards, and nasty sunburn to consider… but you still. Just. Can’t. Wait.

You’ve planned games, pool activities, one or two cultural day-trips (your mam would never forgive you if you didn’t swing by a church) not to mention heaps of perfectly-accessorised, on fleek outfits for mornings, afternoons and evenings.

What a pity then that there is little chance of the group avoiding entirely tears, tantrums, and occasional rages.

Because someone, somewhere, at some stage will take serious offence at a word, a look, or a supposed snub.

Fear not, however! SHEmazing has compiled the ultimate guide to making the most from your girlie trip away… AND returning home on speaking terms.

Even better, make sure to stick around for West Coast Cooler’s AMAZING holiday giveaway: namely a €10,000 trip-of-a-lifetime to Thailand for you and three mates… #girlieholidaygoals

1) Don’t take yourself too seriously:

Sure thing, at home your makeup might be meticulously organised; brushes stored in ascending order; clear glosses still perfectly clear and unclouded.

But your girlie holiday is a time to seriously chill. So if someone takes your suncream or uses your towel, take a deep breath and – in the words of Elsa from Frozen – let it go. Same goes for refusing to get into the pool lest your perfectly tousled tresses get wet.

Because no one, ever wants to be THAT girl.

2) Discuss your social media policy:

You don’t have to go all Mark Zuckerberg, but it’s probably a good idea to get a social media strategy of sorts in order in advance. Is everyone allowed to post and tag group shots at their will? Should bikini snaps be off limits? What about hard-core nights out?

But whatever your leanings, agree on a common ground and stick to it.

And if you know you’ll only get upset being snapped with a face full of greasy suncream and no makeup, insist on popping on your sunnies beforehand – and then just flash your best smile and get on with having fun.

3) Men should probably come second:

Maybe you’re a gaggle of single ladies who are on the same page. Or it could be that you’re all loved-up gals with a guy waiting at home. More realistically, you’ll be a mixture of the two. And every year, firm friends fall out over men on holidays.

We say – vaycay socialising should be all about your squad of females. If you’re single and happen to mingle with someone nice, great! But don’t bail on carefully crafted girlie plans just to go on a date.

Because being blunt: in all likelihood, your friends are going to be around a lot longer than a holiday fling.

4) Remain a (somewhat) sensible adult:

Don’t put yourself in needless danger (read: stay away from mopeds), and try not to do anything that will likely result in an injury of any sorts (see moped advice). Apply suncream regularly (looking like a lobster will be a downer) and stay hydrated with plenty of water.

Spending most of the afternoon in bed is a waste too. You’ve parted with cash to jet away, so make the effort to get up, get dressed and get out during the day.

A morning coffee in the sun at a local cafe, or a walk along the quieter stretches of coastline are great for chats and bonding with the girls – not to mention a good way to placate any niggling arguments.

5) Money matters:

Fights over money are the worst… and some folk are inevitably going to have an extra bit of cash with them. In short, an afternoon’s jet-skiing or hitting a snazzy restaurant every single night just won’t be everyone’s cup of tea.

So chat in advance about what’s worth it (taxis in and out of town) and what just isn’t (a five-minute camel ride on the beach). Ideally, hit a supermarket on day one and stock up on water, snacks and drinks to cut down on your day-time spend.

It’s fine for some of the group to go off on their own for a bit of pampering or luxury, but try to ensure the squad doesn’t end up splitting in two because of finances.

6) Remember – your time together is precious:

Even with the odd hiccup along the way – girlie getaways are the very best. Which is worth remembering when you start to get irritated. Indeed, most of the time (and even though you momentarily swear “never again”) you’re hardly back a week when you all start planning the next big one.

And West Coast Cooler might be able to help out in that regard: they’re giving away a ten-day holiday to Thailand, worth (wait for it) an incredible €10,000. The best part? You’ll get to bring your three best mates too.

Well this is certainly a most awkward situation.

Rita Ora is busy travelling around the U.S at the moment to promote her latest single Body On Me. in between putting some time in at the recording studio in L.A and appearing on late night talk shows in NYC, Rita took some time to herself.

Studio vibes. All you need is a packet of crisps and tons of liners. #promoLife #cantwait #bodyonme

She had a quick stop in Las Vegas and while there she of course took a trip down to the casino and gave her all at the slot machines.

Apparently Rita decided to take control of the background music and opted to give a very special surprise performance.

However, it didn’t quite go as planned. She was quickly told to stop singing as one fellow casino goer informed her: “You can’t do that on the casino floor.”

Oops.

Her rendition of the single, which also features Chris Brown, was cut short but Rita managed to see the funny side of things. As the 24-year old carries on with her slot machine fun, her sister, Elena, tries to explain that it’s all promotion for her new single.

The man however doesn’t seem to care all that much. Not a die-hard Rita Ora fan then? Surprising seeing as the singer sounds pretty amazing in the clip.

The new X Factor judge has had pretty good success with her single, despite failing to impress this particular individual.

Her latest track went to number eight in the charts on its release and her new work pals are also said to be big fans of the star.

The Sun reported that Cheryl wasn’t interested in any rivalry existing between them: "That's not something I am focused on. I think that will be looked at differently now. You see female popstars supporting each other more."

Just months ago these two seemed to be getting on like best pals.

Times have certainly changed between Kim Kardashian and Perez Hilton then. In Mya Kim announced that Perez would be featured in her iPhone game, Kim Kardashian: Hollywood.

At the time of the announcement Kim said “Nothing like a little Perez Hilton to keep things interesting.”

After this news we are inclined to agree.

Not too long ago Perez announced that he, and his site, would be going on a ‘Kardashian Kleanse’ which is exactly what you think it is.

He vowed to not post anything Kardashian related for a week, technically five days but that’s fine. The work week is long enough as it is.

He wrote in a post: "Next week we'll be highlighting DAILY inspiring stories about amazing women from all around the world!"

He also started a #NoKardashiansForAWeek hashtag on social media, because he’s Perez Hilton and he apparently does nothing quietly.

In what appears to be a response to this Kardashian-Lite effort, the official Twitter account for Kim’s app posted a tweet which asked users if they wanted Perez’s character removed from the game.

Quite a high number of users apparently wouldn’t mind seeing the celebrity blogger get the boot. Seeing as Kim has already unfollowed him on Twitter that doesn’t seem to surprising. Her fans are loyal, that is for sure.

Is Perez concerned? He responded to the poll by saying it’s “a bit much… but we’re totally living for it!!!”

We love wearing heels. We just hate the fact that by the end of the day, or night, they have got us in some serious pain most of the time.

However, this could possibly become a thing of the past.
The world’s first pair of convertible shoes have been invented! Yes, someone has finally done it, they have created the ultimate style-hack, and we couldn’t be more pleased.

Canadian designer Tanya Heath decided to develop the shoes with detachable heels (of various heights, FYI) when she got sick of suffering from crippling heel pain.

Speaking to The Sun, Tanya explained: “I just could not manage the pain anymore but I did not want to stop wearing heels.”

After buying all of the various gel pads and inserts she was fed up and found that despite shelling out all the cash to avoid the pain, nothing was working.

"I used to always say I wish I could just take the heel off and finally my husband encouraged me to look for a solution. I think he was fed up with me complaining and buying so many shoes and he saw this as an answer."

The shoes took 3 and a half years to develop and Tanya needed to help of over 20 engineers and shoe designers to construct the perfect heel.

"Expect a lot more diversity from us this fall but the brand will remain essentially Parisian. The 4cm heel while not flat is very, very comfortable, great for walking and gives you a tiny bit of lift.”

They are currently available online and from Tanya’s boutique in Toronto.

If you wondered about how well they work, university graduate Catherine Reid put them to the test on a night out in London and sang their praises. She wrote a review of the shoes for website The Tab, and she was seriously impressed.

Another reason to love them, Catherine brought her smallest handbag out to see how convenient the heels really were and said they take up less space than she imagined:

"I took out my smallest clutch bag as a test to see if they fitted in alongside my make-up, keys and phone and they fitted in perfectly."

All you have to do is pick your desired heel and then when the going gets too tough, swap the lower and more comfortable heel. So now there's really no excuse for throwing some shapes on the dance floor.

Pop star Ariana Grande is having quite a week it seems.

It was announced yesterday by The Hollywood Reporter that the 21-year old singer was ranked as the second most hated celebrity by Americans. Now she has also caused absolute outrage on social media.

This time it is not because of any pastry related incidents. Instead an American talk show host is being called out by Ariana fans after she made comments about Ariana’s appearance on her show.

#CancelWendyWilliamsShow is now trending all over the world on Twitter.

Why are fans so displeased? Wendy said: "I don't look at her as a woman."

She referred to the singer’s height (4’11”) and said “she’ll forever look 12… I don’t mean that in a good way.”

She said that while it is nice to look youthful, she considers that Ariana looks a little too young.

The Ariana Grande fandom did not take this well, they are seriously pissed off and they are not afraid to let the whole world know.

While her fans have taken the matter into their own hands and are calling for Wendy's TV show to be taken off the air, Ariana has yet to respond.
