Avoid eating before going out
Try to not eat at least one hour before you go for a run.
What drinks to avoid
Stay clear of sugary carbonated drinks and stick to plain water to rehydrate.
Warm up
Make sure you do a quick warm up before you go out. Not only is it effective in preventing stitches and cramps, it is also vital to avoid injuries.
Watch your breathing
Make sure you are breathing deeply in through your mouth. This way you will be able to take in more air.
Good posture is key
Don’t hunch over when you are running. Maintain good posture by standing up straight and tall as you move.
If you do get one while running, try changing your breathing pattern and take a quick deep breathe in. If all else fails slow down and walk until it is gone.
Coronation Street star Barbara Knox has been arrested on suspicion of drink-driving.
The 80-year-old actress is said to have been arrested last night after driving to a Cheshire police station to demand the release of her daughter Maxine Ashcroft who was arrested hours earlier on suspicion of drink-driving.
The veteran Corrie star has played Rita Tanner in the soap for more than 40 years.
The actress’ 56-year-old daughter was reportedly the first to be arrested after being pulled over and breathalysed by police while driving her mother home following an afternoon out together.
The soap star is believed to have arrived at Knutsford Police Station in Cheshire later that evening wanting to speak to officers about her daughter, but was then arrested herself after police suspected that she had driven there while under the influence of alcohol.
The actress was bailed pending further enquiries, while her daughter is said to have been charged and will appear in court next week.

Police were called to rapper Drake’s London afterparty after a fight broke out.
Drake partied with pals, including model Jourdan Dunn, at a London club after his performance at The O2 Arena last night.
The police had to step in when things got out of hand as the rapper tried to leave the nightclub in the early hours of this morning.
Around 100 people are said to have gathered outside the club and a fight broke out amongst fans as the Hold On We’re Going Home star tried to get to his car.
The crowd were said to be frantic to get a glimpse of Drake with his rumoured girlfriend Rihanna as he had been spotted partying with the Rude Boy singer in a number of London hotspots all week.
Drake has been in London since Monday for a three-night residency at the O2.
Beyonce welled up on stage last night while giving an emotional speech to mark the final show of her Mrs. Carter Tour.
Speaking at the last show in Lisbon, Portugal, Bey said, “Tonight is the last show of the Mrs. Carter Show. We started a year ago and I want to say this has been such a journey. In the past year, we’ve been through so much together.”

These brave women allowed their men to do their make-up and the results are surprisingly good. However, we’re not convinced enough to trust the men in our lives to do our make-up.
