Wine and make-up are pretty close when it comes to things we love. Well, now you can have them blissfully together.

Well, kinda.

Korean brand, Labiotte, has created a lipstick in the shape of a wine bottles and they are the cutest thing to carry around in your pruse.

It has fab, matte lipsticks in great colours and even lip tints, too.

But the vino-inspired cosmetics doesn't stop there. Nope, Labiotte has launched mascara and lip balm in the shape of wine glasses also.

You can buy the liquid lipsticks from Amazon, and we think we're going to take every shade… just like we take our wine.

If a tasty glass of wine and a good book is your picture of the perfect night in, then your going to be overjoyed with this new gadget.

A winery called Matteo Correggia has teamed up with a product design agency, Reverse Innovation, to bring you a range of wines called Librottiglia.

What is this, you ask? Well, each Librottiglia is half the size of a normal bottle and has been wrapped in a short story which complements the style of the wine. Interesting, hey?

But it gets better, the reason behind the smaller bottles is that they equal about two glasses, which the winery says is the perfect amount of wine to drink to get you through each short story.

That means you won't run out of wine while still on the last few pages of the book.

Matteo Correggia said: "Characteristics of each wine are matched to a narrative genre to create a perfectly balanced experience based on the sensory impressions and scenarios imagined in the stories."

However, there is one MAJOR downside – the stories have all been written in Italian, so we're going to have to wait until it reaches our green isle to enjoy it.

At the end of a long week of work, politics and general drama, there are few things more tempting than a glass of red wine.

But for those in desperate need of a pick-me-up, Japan has found the ultimate solution.

Images from the Yunessun Spa Resort of Hakone have been doing the rounds online after it was discovered that the spa is home to a swimming pool filled with red wine.

For those wishing to follow in the steps of Cleopatra, the spa offers the opportunity to bathe in a red wine tank which is filled by a 12 foot bottle of the good stuff.

Because red wine contains resveratrol – an antioxidant which stimulates cell proteins – visitors can avail of the anti-aging benefits of vino while enjoying a glass or two mid-soak.

And if wine isn’t your thing, the spa – which is located 100km west of Tokyo – will allow you to relax in pools of ramen, chocolate, green tea and coffee.

If there was ever a place to fill us with Wanderlust, this is most definitely it.

If you find lugging countless empty wine bottles to the bottle bank beyond irritating, then you may need to get in on a trend currently doing the rounds online.

Instead of dividing your empties by colour in the local carpark, why not hold onto them and create a Christmas tree of epic proportions?!

After Silver Oak Cellars got the ball rolling last year, the rest of us mere mortals are catching up this time around, and Pinterest is all over it.

This is a work of art…

And this is truly beautiful…

And then there's this one…

But this has got to be our favourite…

Looks like we've some stocking up to do before Christmas, ladies.

It's been one of those weeks, ladies.

Whether it's your time of the month, you had a million deadlines to stick to at work, or you're just not feeling 100 percent, let's just be relieved that it's Friday and we can sit back and relax the minute we get home.

On weeks like this, there's nothing better than getting cosy on the couch with a cup of hot chocolate… but doesn't red wine hot chocolate sound even better? Yep, we think so, too.

Blogger Yeah..ImmaEatThat shared a recipe for red wine hot chocolate a few months ago but has only recently blown up on social media, and we're ALL for it because, well… chocolate and wine, duh.

All you need to do to create this loveliness in a cup is mix 1 1/2 cups of milk and 1/3 cup of dark chocolate chips in a pan over a medium heat.

Stir the milk and chocolate until it becomes creamy and delicious – and then, add one cup of red wine (or you know, more) and stir until fully infused.

Many fans of the recipe have made their own version, so let's just say it can do no wrong.

If you came of age in the 90s, you’re likely the proud owner of at least one piece of Hello Kitty merchandise.

Much like getting your hands on a lava lamp or inflatable chair, a Hello Kitty haul would go a long way towards securing a rep in the 90s and noughties.

But if you’ve graduated from your duvet cover and nail polish, the good folk behind the Japanese brand have something which may pique the interest of older Hello Kitty fans.

Joining forces with Sanrio – Hello Kitty’s parent company – Torti Winery in Italy has produced a wine under the adorable feline label.

Ten years in the making, the wine, which includes a white, sparkling white, rosé and blush sparkling boasts – perhaps most importantly – some of the most adorable labels we’ve ever laid eyes on.

Speaking to the Los Angeles Times, Patrizia Torti of the family-run winery explained: “My father and my sister take care of the production, from the soil to picking the grapes. We produce a special bottle with a heart, only for Hello Kitty.”

But if you’re hoping to get your hands on a bottle, you’ll have to start planning a trip across the pond as only ONE establishment in the States serve the wine.

Step forward Antonello Ristorante in California’s Santa Ana, we salute you.

We all love a glass or three of vino, and we all loathe the persistent headache that follows that glass or three of vino, right?

It’s all fun and games when we first pop that cork, but one bottle in and we’re already dreading the morning after the night before.

And while we’d probably happily continue that cycle from now until we kick the bucket, the good folk behind Üllo wine purifier have decided we no longer need to endure wine hangovers of epic proportions.

With one handy little device which purports to filter the sulphites which induce the headache we all know so well, we can kiss goodbye to the mind-numbing agony which generally accompanies a night out with the girls.

Oh, and before you assume that that little filter also has the potential to remove the flavour which has us guzzling from the bottle in the first place, think again.

Üllo, we salute you.

Being one of our all-time favourite tipples, SHEmazing! is rather fond of a spot of prosecco.

So when earlier this year we stumbled across Skinny Prosecco from wine-merchant Thomson & Scott, we were only delira: 67 calories per glass, reduced sugar, organic and certified vegan.

Much like an old friend, Skinny Prosecco has been with us all the way. From its initial arrival in London, to its emergence online for Irish customers, and now to the official launch of the brand on home-soil.

And while previously, we've enjoyed a glass of low-sugar-but-still-totally-tasty bubbles at home – from today Skinny Prosecco (Ellie Goulding is a fan, fyi) is now also available in Balfes in Dublin's city centre.

Balfes, of course, is already the home of Champagne and Bellini popsicles – so the emergence of Skinny Prosecco at the Dublin 2 venue is frankly pretty special.

You know, we don't always feel healthy on a night out… but we reckon all this certainly helps!

See balfes.ie and thomsonandscott.com. Balfes has Skinny Prosecco for €11.50 per glass or €55 per bottle.

Video footage of a out-of-control Johnny Depp has now emerged – with the actor seen throwing a wine bottle and a glass months before Amber Heard filed for divorce.

In shocking footage – filmed prior to the May 21 incident in which Amber claims Mr Depp struck her – the duo can be seen in their kitchen.

Obtained by TMZ and seemingly filmed by Amber herself, she can be heard asking Johnny if he drank a bottle of wine as she tries to calm him down.

The footage begins with 53-year-old Johnny shouting "mother f**ker; mother f**ker," as his now-estranger wife asks him what happened.

The 30-year-old actress furthermore says she is sorry for something – although she doesn't specify what she did.

And after throwing a glass and wine bottle across the room, he seemingly becomes aware that she is filming their tense conversation – making a swipe at Amber's phone, trying to get it from her.

Johnny's people are now claiming that the content is a "set up," and is "heavily edited." The also claim that there are portions where Amber is seen smiling and egging him on.

The pair – who met on the set of 2011 film The Rum Diary and were married for just 15 months – split in May.

While ordinary theme parks are all well and good, after a while they can begin to feel a little samey.  But a WINE theme park?  That sounds like something we could never tire of.

The appropriately named La Cité du Vin – that’s City of Wine – opened in Bordeaux earlier this summer and offers a unique wine-centred experience which promises to tantalise all of the senses.

According to Condé Nast Traveler, the new $91 million high-tech wine museum boasts 20 exhibits, a 250 seat theatre and – just like any good theme park – a simulator boat ride on which historical figures talk passengers through world famous wine routes.  Fancy!

Visitors can enjoy expert-led wine tastings, a Belvedere wine saloon, restaurants, a boutique and even a giant chair which tells those seated famous alcohol-infused stories.

The multi-sensory wine tasting experience uses moving sets, 3D images, lights, sounds and smells to bring guests through the world’s markets so they can pair virtual food with real wines.

And if your French isn’t quite what it used to be there’s no need to worry as The City of Wine is well equipped for international guests with each guided headset being pre-programmed with eight languages.

Adult tickets to La Cité du Vin start at €20.  Now just to get to Bordeaux…

If prepping for pres is not your thing it might be time to pay attention as that last minute dash down the wine aisle on a Saturday night could be costing you a fair bit of money.

A new study by mobile shopping app Ibotta has found that you should not shop for wine and beer at weekends as alcohol tends to cost more on Saturdays and Sundays than it does during the week.

According to Redbook, while analysing 50 million receipts Ibotta learned that a bottle of vino is on average 6 percent cheaper to buy on a Tuesday than it is at the weekend and beer costs 9 percent less on a Monday than it does on Saturday or Sunday.

Because this study was conducted in the US, we’re unsure how accurately its findings apply to Ireland but it does suggest it could be worthwhile keeping an eye on daily alcohol prices here too just in case.

Us Irish are well known for our questionable drinking habits, but the results of a new study by the Health Research Board are truly shocking.

According to the research, the average Irish drinker consumes 11 litres of pure alcohol per year.

That in itself mightn’t mean much, but when you convert it into pints of beer and bottles of wine things get really scary.

11 litres of alcohol equals 445 pints of beer, 29 litres of vodka or 116 bottles of wine per person per year.

And the bad news doesn’t end there.

The report also found that alcohol-related discharges from hospital cost Irish taxpayers €1.5 billion in 2012 – that’s more than 10% of the total amount spent on public healthcare that year.

The study stressed that it's not just what we drink that's the issue, but how we drink it as binge-drinking is still massive problem in Irish society.
