There's no denying that Kim Kardashian is one seriously sophisticated fashionista these days – not to mention one with MEGA earnings.

In fact, her wealth now stands at a cool €75m, with her various business ventures and endorsements raking in millions annually. 

But the 34-year-old reality TV star's career had rather more controversial beginnings: back in 2003 she found initial fame via a sex tape she made with her then boyfriend, singer and actor, Ray J. 

Now a new book claims that Ms Kardashian not only used the x-rated footage to launch herself into superstardom… she also made a killer, seven-figure sum from the video's release.

Of course, most celebrities are desperate to keep intimate bedroom clips entirely under wraps – and indeed, Kim was initially was mortified to think that people would see her and her boyfriend's most private moments.

Until, that is, she enlisted the help of Girls Gone Wild porn baron Joe Francis – a man who helped her turn a potentially damaging situation into a PR winner.

The Sun also reports that a new biography by author Sean Smith furthermore claims: "Until she called in close pal Joe to advise her, all she wanted to do was make the tape go away."

However, Kris Jenner stepped in to manage the situation, eventually securing €300,000 each for her daughter and Ray J.

Crucially, she also ensured that both participants would receive a cut from any videos sold or downloaded – a clause that eventually resulted in €4m in earnings for Ms Kardashian.

Distributor Vivid Entertainment alone was at one stage making more than €1m a month from online sales. “It just caught fire,” one of the book's sources explains.

And it remains the best-selling sex tape ever.

Joe Francis himself was once part of Hollywood's exclusive Paris Hilton set. 

He also reportedly dated Kim’s older sister, Kourtney, and even introduced her to Scott Disick.

These days, the Kardashian clan continue to be regular visitors to Joe’s luxury Mexican villa, Casa Aramara in the Punta Mita region – with Kylie Jenner recently marking her 18th birthday there with a gaggle of friends.

So, you know how Kylie tends to post pretty much everything on social media?

Her dog’s birthday parties, her poolside lounging and every time she gets her make up done are all documented on her Snapchat stories. There is even an entire Instagram account dedicated to the videos in case you ever miss out on one.

The 18-year old reality TV star was recently “passed the baton” of social media queen by big sister Kim and while her fans might enjoy all of her ‘behind the scenes’ style videos, some people do not.

That would include her rapper boyfriend Tyga. The 25-year old was minding his own business lounging on the couch when he was caught by Kylie’s camera.

 

Her latest post has a video of her telling him she “posted it”, although we don’t know what ‘it’ was. Tyga wasn’t all that thrilled about it when he responded:

“Oh my god. Why do you post everything? Damn! You’re killing me!”

Since turning 18 earlier this summer, Kylie has included an awful lot more of Tyga in her social media posts, which are getting to be quite intimate indeed.

Earlier this weekend she posted a video of herself in the bath. Granted she was wearing clothes and it was supposedly a promotional clip, it seems Kylie is not afraid of getting people talking.

The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star has also reportedly told her mom Kris that she deserves to be paid more than Kim as she is the more popular sister.

“Kylie has told Kris that they should focus more on her in the show rather than on Kim," a source told Radar Online.

“She added that is clear to her who the fans really want to see now. Kris is enamored with her 'new cash cow', so Kylie might just get what she wants.”

One of the many celebs tweeting yesterday about Pope Francis's arrival to the US was Kim Kardashian, and while she had nothing bad to say, her well wishes got VERY lost in translation.

Showing she's still a God-fearing Christian, the reality star was sure to welcome the Pope to America with a short message reading, "The Pope is Dope."

The #popeisdope hashtag had already been doing the rounds on Twitter yesterday, but one South American publication picked up on Kim's tweet and got the wrong end of the stick entirely.

An angry op-ed published online by Argentinan news site Primicias Ya took serious issue with the tweet, asking "Did Kim Kardashian attack the Pope?"

Most would take the meaning of "dope" in that context to mean something positive, but it seems Primicias Ya's writer was relying only on Google Translate and a shaky knowledge of American English slang.

Their direct translation for the tweet was "El Papa es droga," or "The Pope is drugs." Oops.

"What could Kim be referring to? Without a doubt, this couldn’t be positive," the article finishes. "How do you interpret her message?”

Luckily, a quick flick through the comments reveals that quite a few people in Argentina are aware of the OTHER meaning of dope, so we're sure Kim won't be Public Enemy Number 1 for long.

As with her first pregnancy, expectant mum Kim Kardashian has been suffering with swollen ankles and water retention.

But this time around she's being a lot kinder to her body, and even taking steps to tone down the glamour a little for the sake of comfort.

The reality star was spotted leaving a hotel in San Diego on Wednesday having ditched her usual stilettos for something altogether more practical – a pair of fluffy white hotel spa slippers.

Of course, Kim looked totally primped and preened from the ankles up, with a skintight black jersey dress, a black cover-up, a full face of make-up and her hair down and straight.

Little North West matched her mama in a sleeveless black dress. though she wore black and white moccasins instead of slippers.

Back in 2013, Kim was pictured wearing a pair of nude and perspex heels that cut into her ankles, leaving many wondering she was taking things too far in the maternity style stakes.

For her second pregnancy, it seems Kim is being more strategic, spacing out high-fashion outfits with more low-key ones. 

And after donning a pair of strappy black skyscraper heels the night before for her grandmother's belated 81st birthday celebrations, it's no surprise Kim was feeling the burn yesterday morning.

Speaking about her pregnancy style on her new website and app, Kim, who will welcome a son in December, said she was done with trying to conceal her growing belly.

"I am confident and not trying to hide my bump. I actually want to accentuate it," she explained. 

"And yes, long coats to cover my fat arms and ass! It's such a trip how your body grows and changes, and at the end of the day, you have to wear what you are comfortable in and what you feel good in."

In case you had not noticed, New York Fashion Week has brought an awful lot of celebrities and their very important entourage members all together.

There was a lot of events, hundreds of outfit changes and of course, there were some snarky comments tossed about between the celebs. Cosmopolitan gathered up some of the most outrageous remarks that were overheard over the course of the fashion extravaganza, and they were hilarious.

These are just some of most hilarious things that people overheard the fashion crowd saying, in very crowded, very public places. 

"I was sitting across from Anna. She yawned, she checked her watch, she looked up at the ceiling and played with her jewelry, and she texted. I've seen her not like a show before but never like that. She hated it."

Since the announcement was made four months ago, we've been silly excited about Balmain's arrival at H&M.

With good reason too – not only is the French fashion house one of the hottest labels of the moment (thank you, Kim Kardashian) – it's haute couture status means it is also one of the most eye-wateringly expensive.

Indeed, simple blazers come in at around €1,500 with sandals similarly priced. Meanwhile, a leather embellished mini dress from this season is a cool €8,500.

And though H&M has over the last decade brought us seriously affordable designer goodies at distinctly high-street prices – it seems that this collaboration will be somewhat more pricey.

Debuting one of the pieces last night, Gigi Hadid hit the red-carpet at the swish Harper's Bazaar Fashion Week closing party in New York.

With head designer Olivier Rousteing's signature geometrical pattern being used to full-effect, the long-sleeved dress sports monochrome and subtle gold hues.

It was the price, however, that really caught our eye: a cool €500.

Although the dress is likely to be among the most expensive pieces on sale come November 5 (when the range launches internationally – including in Ireland), last year's Alexander Wang collection was not quite so dear. 

Fans then were invited to snap-up over-the-knee socks for just €15 and tank tops for €30. At the other end of the scale, the range charged around €200 for footwear, with a metallic down jacket – the most costly Wang item on sale – being priced at €350.

Kanye West's SS16 Yeezy collection debuted at New York Fashion Week yesterday, and despite the countless stars in attendance, it was three-year-old North who stole the show.

Jaden Smith, Anna Wintour, Drake, Lorde, Seth Meyers and of course the Kardashian-Jenner sisters were all there to support Kanye for his third catwalk presentation, which featured minimalist sportswear in various shades of nude and neutral.

A video posted to Kim's website yesterday and later shared on social media by a fashion editor shows Kim and little North having a beautiful mummy-daughter moment before the show begins.

Telling her mum that Minnie Mouse will be joining them for the special occasion, the Disney-obsessed toddler then confirms that her own name is Minnie too, not North. 

How cute?!

Kim and her adorable tot were decked out in Yeezy gear for Kanye's big day, with Kim sporting a long beige trench and North in a miniature version of one of the key looks – a beige hoody and skintight leggings.

Four new apps were unleashed on the world this week, courtesy of the world's most powerful family.

The Kardashian-Jenner sisters gathered at the Apple Store in New York on Monday to launch their new paid websites/apps, each containing tailored original video content.

Kylie, Kim, Kendall and Khloé are all on board, with Kourtney's app apparently in production at the moment too. But while the girls seemed on equal footing to start with, hours later it was evident that Kylie's release had destroyed all the others in terms of user numbers.

The reality star celebrated her Apple Store Number 1 status via Instagram earlier in the week, but new figures show just how big a lead she has gained on her sisters.

According to TMZ, a whopping 75% of subscribers were for Kylie's app only, with her sisters' subscribers accounting for just 25% of sign-ups.

Kylie gained around 670,000 new users in her first 24 hours alone, with Khloé coming in second with around 98k, then Kim with 80k and Kendall pulling up the rear with 53k.

No doubt using tabloid speculation as her inspiration, Kylie's first video showed how she had managed to achieve bigger boobs… WITHOUT a boob job (apparently).

Yesterday's content focused on the reality star's 18th birthday celebrations, which saw her party in LA, Mexico and Montreal and scooping over half a million euro worth of gifts, including a €300,000 Ferrari from her boyfriend Tyga.

As for Khloe, her content so far has been a little more sophisticated, focusing on fashion, fitness and even some home decor – namely the legendary stacked biscuit jars that KUWTK fans will recognise from her home.

Kim's site offers an inside look at being the most glamourous mum around, from personal Met Gala Polaroids to monthly pregnancy diaries.

While most of the content was kept under wraps until launch day, Kim had teased a number of make-up tutorials with her BFF Mario Dedivanovic, all of which are set to appear on the site too.

As for Kendall, she has aimed for more minimalist feel with her site, offering behind-the-scenes NYFW snaps as well as lots of high-fashion posts.

So there you have it – boobs, biscuits, babies and boots… it's been a busy week for these four sisters.

She's definitely a fan of Latex attire – and was just days ago spotted rocking a skin-tight leather mini-skirt which flashed plenty of leg. 

It doesn't look like Kim Kardashian intends on changing up her look anytime soon either: she's been spotted AGAIN in seriously teeny-tiny attire. 

Although she kept on the same, over-the-knee black boots in suede as well as the same Balmain coat with gold-button detail, the 34-year-old swapped her beige ripped tee for a black one.

And in lieu of the leather wrap-around skirt she wore on Saturday, she instead donned a spray-on effect number – also in leather.

The reality TV star, now six months into her second pregnancy, was last night out with her elder sister, Kourtney, 36.

Based in New York for Fashion Week – they headed for dinner at the swish Il Mulino in Uptown Manhattan (where a shrimp cocktail starter is priced at €25 and champagne truffle ravioli is €45).

Kourtney herself didn't hold back in the style stakes either: she wore a full-length satin robe under which she had on black thigh-high boots.

It was quite the family affair too: momager Kris, as well as sisters Khloe, Kendall, and Kylie were all in attendance.

It was a good week for Ellen DeGeneres!

The funny woman launched her own fashion line, ED, this week in the major American superstore, Bergdorf Goodman.

“I’m so emotional right now, I could cry," said Ellen as she posed for pictures.

The chat show host announced that she was feeling nervous as she stood beside wife, Portia de Rossi.

While guests were waiting for the launch, they sipped on organic rose cocktails in a very suave dining area, decorated with deep pink flowers and green velvet chairs.

“It’s such an honour to launch in this way,” added Ellen.

“Bergdorf Goodman is so picky! People hope for years and years that they will select them.”

Ellen wore a sleek black fitted suit from her new line but she wasn't the only one dressed to impress on the night.

All dolled up and sipping cocktails were the likes of Diane Sawyer, Kim Kardashian West, Kanye West, Justin Timberlake, Pharell Williams and Donna Karan.

It sure was fancy!

When Ellen was asked what is on her shopping list for the new season, she said “Saint Laurent, Givenchy, and, of course, ED," adding, "I think I’ll get a discount if I buy here now!”

She's known now as the seriously sophisticated fashionista; the wife of one of music's biggest stars, and all-in-all probably the most famous face in the world.

But it hasn't always been such a wholly glamorous existence for 34-year-old Kim Kardashian. 

As well as once working as a stylist, sorting out the wardrobes of Los Angeles's rich and famous, six years ago the reality TV mega-star (she's set to earn €47m this year alone) furthermore fronted her own series of workout DVDs.

Promising a "beautiful backside," the release is playfully entitled Fit In Your Jeans By Friday.

Intriguingly, kimkardashianfitness.com is still very much up and running, providing a gloriously tantalising throwback glimpse into the the pre-Kanye world of Ms Kardashian.

"We all see celebrities in magazines and on TV and wish we could wriggle into the latest trends worn by our favorite stars.

"The thing is – celebrities work out too – otherwise they wouldn’t look as good as they do!" she writes on the site, adding: "My workouts show how easy it is to get the body you want for any style jean you want to wear.

"Fit In Your Jeans By Friday is an all access pass to my personal training sessions filled with 'How To' tips and Bonus Workouts."

Amazon describes the offering, which was first released in the US in 2009, as "a quick paced workout formulated to have you squatting, lunging and lengthening to a chiseled core in less than five days!

"This workout will isolate and condition all muscle groups of the butt, hips, legs, arms and midsection while burning 100s of calories."

On board to help her with her workouts are trainers Patrick Goudeau and Jennifer Galardi – with Jen saying afterwards in a promotional interview that it's "easy to see why people want a booty" like Kim's.

"That girl is TINY with an amazing backside and now an amazing body to go with it.

"Kim had realistic goals. She worked with what her momma gave her," the trainer added, "and while she definitely has become toned and tightened, she still maintains her beautiful feminine shape."

While performing her light weight-training, Pilates and mild cardio moves, Kim sports a trio of outfits for the DVD: first up, there is a black Spandex body-suit teamed with knee-high Puma boots, fingerless gloves and a sparkly belt.

The star can also be seen in a crop-top and leggings combo accessorised with a leather, zip-detail waist belt.

Meanwhile, her final look consists of classic, figure-hugging leggings worn with Nike booties and a black cut-out top which exposes a plunging purple-coloured bra.

Of course, to this day, the California-native – now pregnant with her second child – retains her love of fitness and exercise.

Indeed, she is often spotted heading to gyms close-by to the €17.5m Hidden Hills home she shares with Mr West and their daughter, North.
