Katy Perry and her fiance, Hollywood actor, Orlando Bloom, are eagerly awaiting the arrival of their baby girl, with Katy’s due date just around the corner. However, motherhood wasn’t always something that Katy looked forward to, she revealed in an interview with People magazine.

“I was really terrified of the idea two or three years ago. It was just like, I don't know how I'm ever gonna do that. That's crazy. I can barely take care of myself!” Katy admitted.

It was during this time that Katy’s mental health was deteriorating, and she was in a deep depression. The 35-year-old explained, “It's been two-and-a-half years of trying to find my footing. It's so easy for me to work, work, work and avoid, but I had to go on a mental and spiritual journey.” To do this, Katy underwent the Hoffman Process. This week-long, personal-development retreat helped Katy to dig into negative behaviours.

“It changed my life, and it's changed Orlando's life and many of my friends' lives. It helped me re-wire how I think about myself and the habits and patterns of why I do something. It's just given me a lot more freedom,” said Katy, who’s no longer afraid to become a mother.

When it came to Katy and Orlando’s parenting techniques though, the pop star was pretty sure who will get to be good-cop and who’s going to be bad-cop. “Orlando's gonna be the good cop and I'm gonna be the bad cop. I already know it! I'm the three F's. I'm fun, firm but fair. That's how I roll,” she conceded.

Katy and Orlando revealed they were expecting a baby girl in April. Perry posted a photo of Bloom's face covered in pink icing to announce the big news. She simply captioned the photo: “It’s a girl.” She also tagged the location as ‘Girls Run The World’.

This is the couple’s first child together. Orlando is already a dad to nine-year-old Flynn, whom he shares with ex-wife Miranda Kerr.

We all remember the trends rotating around primary schools; whether it was Tamagotchis, friendship bracelets, Scoobies, Loom bands or marbles, we were ADDICTED.

Apparently, Katy Perry was a little alternative when she was a kid, unsurprisingly. Her brain went pretty much straight to the gutter, the Tom Cruise lust-inspired gutter.

The I Kissed A Girl singer was spending some quality time with her parents last weekend and was exploring some former momentoes, when a letter from 1996 resurfaced and shook us deeply.

Katy naturally thought it was so amusing that Instagram had to witness the hilarity, especially since the reason for her sixth grade suspension was DRY HUMPING.

You might be wondering why on earth Katy was dry humping a tree, understandably. Tom Cruise was to blame;

"At the 2:00 p.m. recess, Katy and four other students were in an 'off-limits' area (behind the backboards) practising a skit. Katy pretended that a tree was Tom Cruise and began making sexual motions (pelvic thrusts) to the tree."

Of all the 1990s teen heartthrobs to dry hump bark for, Tom Cruise? We're more on the Leonardo DiCaprio circa 1996 when Romeo and Juliet was released kinda vibe.

The letter also stated, "When Katy met with Mrs. Calkins, Mr. White, and myself, she was asked to describe or demonstrate what she had been seen doing on the playground in front of some other students."

"Katy chose to describe it. Her words were 'it was inappropriate' and 'like making out.'"

The star was previously in trouble at her Santa Barbara Christian School for calling younger students "brats". (Fair)

She also admitted to playing Spin the Bottle and Truth or Dare, which the school said "resulted in students kissing on the cheek."

Humping a tree was the last straw for her no-nonsense Christian School, baby Katy sounds like GAS company to be honest.

Kanye was never really the type of person to pull a massive prank on someone… but maybe Kimmy K has changed all that.

Kim posted a sneak peak video today of Kanye auditioning for American Idol and we're not sure anyone knows how to take it.

The video shows him in the audition room, talking to the judges.

"My name is Kanye and I'm from the south side of Chicago. I'm originally a producer, always wanted to rap but no one really believed in me," he joked.

Kim also makes an appearance, talking to Ryan Seacrest about her hubby.

It has been a whirlwind few months for reality TV fans.

First it was revealed that The X Factor was getting a huge shake up, with Dermot O'Leary, Louis Walsh and Mel B all axed from next season's show.

Now it's been officially announced that the legendary TV talent competition American Idol has officially been cancelled after a whopper 15 seasons.

The show turned Kelly Clarkson, Jordin Sparks and Carrie Underwood among others into household names, and over the years has had an incredible cast of judges including Jennifer Lopez, Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj, Ellen DeGeneres, Paula Abdul, Keith Urban, Shania Twain and Neil Patrick Harris.

US TV network FOX today confirmed the news in a press conference, saying they decided it was time to end the show on a high.

"You know, it was not an easy decision," said FOX CEO Gary Newman. "American Idol has been such a vital part of Fox for its run, and we spent a lot of time talking with producers… collectively we arrived at the conclusion that it was time to bring the show to an end."

Many have speculated that the real reason for the show's cancellation is due to falling ratings, with just 11.6 million viewers tuning into last year's season finale compared to 36 million in 2006. However the show's producers say the last season will be about celebrating the show's run rather than trying to claw back viewers.

"Next year, it’s going to be a true season-long celebration. We’re already talking about surprises we can have for the fans to make it feel special," said Newman, adding that former contestants and judges would definitely be returning.

We can't believe the show is finally over… wonder what J-Lo thinks of the whole thing?

It's been a brilliant couple of years for Kelly Clarkson – she got married, welcomed her first child and became a mentor on the show that made her famous, American Idol.

Aside from all her successes though, Kelly has had to deal with a barrage of criticism about her weight, and she has revealed she is sick of it being an issue.

Just last month, Kelly was forced to retaliate publicly when the silver-tongued Katie Hopkins lashed out at her for no reason at all, asking Twitter if Kelly had eaten "all of her backing singers":

Ouch. Kelly responded brilliantly at the time, saying, "I’m awesome! It doesn’t bother me. It’s a free world. Say what you will." All the same, she admitted this week that the comments about her weight have become increasingly upsetting.

Speaking on The Ellen Show, Kelly addressed her haters, saying, "I love how people think that’s new — like, welcome to the past 13 years. Yeah, I was the biggest girl on [American Idol], too. And I wasn’t big, but people would call me big because I was the biggest one on Idol, and I’ve kind of always gotten that.”

Despite her tough attitude, Kelly admitted the comments can be hurtful at times, especially when they come from someone she knows or from a fan.

"Well, it hurts your feelings more if it’s someone else that you like,” she said. “I think what hurts my feelings for people is that I’ll have a meet-and-greet after the show and a girl who’s, like, bigger than me will be in the meet-and-greet and be like, ‘Wow, if they think you’re big, I must be so fat to them.'”

However Kelly says she isn't going to let the negative comments get her down. "We are who we are," she said. "So sometimes I’m more fit and I get into kickboxing hardcore. And then sometimes I don’t, and I’m like… I’d rather have wine."

The 32-year-old was battling cancer and tragically lost her fight against the disease yesterday.

Her family announced the heartbreaking news on Facebook, writing: “To God be the glory! With heavy heart, we are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beloved Joanne. On Saturday, October 18, 2014 at 5.45am, Joanne Borgella Ramirez was called by the Lord to heaven. At an early age, Joanne made a choice to love and trust the Lord; and since her diagnosis over a year ago, Joanne made a choice to be a fighter and share her journey with the world. Her faith, courage and strength were unshaken throughout every obstacle she encountered. Since then she has become a familiar face on US television, appearing on MTV's Made and NUVOtv's Curvy Girls

When asked to reveal five things about herself, the 44-year-old On The Floor singer revealed something pretty surprising.

Behind the scenes of the latest series of American Idol, Jennifer Lopez admitted to eating chocolate cookies “almost every day” – we know, shocker!

The mother-of-two is as fit as ever, so we can’t believe she is such a cookie monster!

As well as being an addict, she said she her kids are her life and she enjoys giving people makeovers.

“I’m a workaholic and a hopeless romantic…but you already knew that,” added the Jenny From The Block singer.

Although she hasn’t had the best luck with love, she is clearly doing something right with that tummy, how does she do it?

It looks like the rivalry between these two American Idol judges won’t be ending any time soon after both Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj released the music videos to their new songs yesterday.

Being the diva that she is, the We Belong Together singer didn’t hold her tongue when it came to slamming the 31-year-old rapper.

On Power 105.1’s Breakfast Club radio show, the singer, who was promoting her new song You’re Mine (Eternal) pretended she never heard of Nicki Minaj – as if!

“I don’t even remember what that was. That was a moment in my life that I’m just going to press delete,” she said.

Neither Mariah nor Nicki have been invited back to the judging panel of American Idol, but that doesn’t mean the war ends here.

Don’t you just love a good celebrity feud?
