If you, your roommate or one of your friends are lactose intolerant, it means that many sweets and treats are off-limit.

Butter, milk or cream are common ingredients for most cakes, biscuits, ice-creams, but they are not irreplaceable. Margarine and neutral oils can be good substitutes for butter, while non-dairy milks and creams (such as coconut and almond) are now widely available.

The following recipes do not contain any milk or dairy, but if you use chocolate, make sure it is dairy-free or vegan.

1. Double chocolate nice-cream

2. Blueberry quinoa muffins

3. Strawberry and basil cheesecake

4. Vegan brownies

5. Breakfast cookies

6. Chocolate crinkles

7. Mango and lime chia pudding

8. Chocolate peanut butter power balls

What is your typical weekday breakfast?

I love to mix it up at breakfast time. My favourites would have to be a slim bagel, smoked salmon and a poached egg, or some fruit with Greek style yoghurt and maybe some muesli too.

A coffee is always a must on the side!

What do you usually have for dinner?

I generally would mix up the type of dinners I make but all would consist of meat, vegetables and a small portion of carbs.

Carbs like sweet potatoes, quinoa or butternut squash are always a hit.

Is it different at the weekend?

Yes it can be for sure, it's a lot easier I find to fall off the bandwagon at the weekends and get a takeaway or indulge a little bit more.

I try to be as healthy as possible but we're all allowed a treat! We will cook something nice like Mexican food, fajitas are always a winner!

I love to nibble on things like crackers and cheese, meats and hummus.

The most incredible lunch. Buckwheat Pancakes #Yum #London #Lunch

A post shared by F A C E S B Y G R A C E (@facesbygrace23) on

Do you snack during the day?

Of course, I always try to include as much protein as possible. My trainer recommends that so I'd have a protein shake with a banana, almond butter and milk. It's so nice, it's like a peanut butter milkshake!

Otherwise I'd have Greek style yoghurt with berries or some nuts.

What would be your ideal food day?

Cheese! Anything with cheese and more cheese! With bacon or bread. All the good stuff!

What is your favourite dessert?

Ohhh definitely a warm chocolate brownie and ice cream!

What is your favourite meal of the day?

I would have to say breakfast. There are so many different things you can have for breakfast. Having a big breakfast or going out for brunch, I love both.

Your favourite restaurant in Dublin/Ireland/the world?

That's a really tough question! I don't know if I have a favourite because I love to try new places all of the time.

A great brunch spot though would be Noah&Co. in Liffey Valley. The food is delish.

The best brunch place in Dublin?

We love HQ on Grand Canal, that's gorgeous!!

Any “food pet peeves”?

Mine would have to be when people automatically say they don't like something when they haven't tried it!

I'm one to try before I decide whether or not I like it.

What food would you not eat for the whole world?

I hate ginger! It makes me feel ill even thinking about it…

What can we always find in your fridge?

Cheese, milk, yoghurt, oh and eggs!

You have friends over for dinner, what do you cook for them?

I love to cook and I have a few favourites.

I would go for spaghetti bolognese, I love spaghetti.A stir fry either, my Mam says they are the best! I do a really nice chicken satay as well. Any of those I'd say!

Do you find it hard to eat a healthy diet on a daily basis?

If I stay in 'the zone' I am totally fine, keeping up with workouts and eating healthy each week but it's when I fall off the bandwagon like I would have on my holidays, I find it really hard to get back on track!

I'm an 80/20 kind of girl though, so I do my best to eat healthy and work out as much as possible but I love some treats or cheat meals too.

What is your guilty pleasure?

Cheese! Any type, cheese boards with all the trimmings, olives, meats and grapes.

Cheese on top of cheese on top of cheese!!

Gossip Girl's Ed Westwick will not face charges of sexual assault due to a lack of evidence, says US prosecutors.

The 31-year-old was accused of various sexual assault allegations from three different women.

However, Los Angeles prosecutors said in new documents that the allegations would not be pursued due to insufficient evidence.

A post shared by Ed Westwick (@edwestwick) on

In November 2017, the actor Kristina Cohen accused Ed through a detailed Facebook post.

Former actor Aurélie Wynn also came forward alongside Kristina and provided witnesses.

“Those witnesses were not able to provide information that would enable the prosecution to prove either incident beyond a reasonable doubt,” the memo read.

“Prosecution on those two incidents is declined due to insufficient evidence,” the memo added.

A post shared by Ed Westwick (@edwestwick) on

A third accuser was referenced within the memo but her case was dropped because of her “unavailability”.

Accusations from further women of reported unwanted touching could not be held up due to falling outside the statute of limitations, reports the Guardian.

Ed has maintained his innocence after the first allegation became public.

In a now-deleted Instagram post, the actor said: “I have never forced myself in any manner, on any woman."

We ALL know that feeling well on a Friday night; feeling so worn out with exhaustion that the mere thought of cooking a meal for yourself makes you want to shed a tear. "I didn't work all week to deal with this," you think, wearingly. That is where the 'backup plan' comes into place. The backup plan being, having something on hand that is restaurant quality delicious, that you can prepare at home, requiring minimal effort from you.

That let's be honest, that 'something' is always pizza – at least when it's this close to the weekend. Unfollow anyone on social who is willing to dispute that – you don't need that kind of negativity in your life, tbh.

Thankfully, Milanos are here to bring you that Friday feeling with their newest additions to their supermarket (and very budget-friendly) pizza range (why yes, you can buy Milano goodness to cook at home), including an out-of-this-world American pizza (€5.69). It originates from a signature restaurant recipe (so you know it's going to taste GOOD), made with pepperoni, mozzarella and Milano’s famous passata. In one word: heavenly.

You can also get their Pollo Ad astra (€5.69), a classic pizza base topped with chicken, Peppadew™ peppers, Cajun spice and mozzarella. Did you know that this one is already a staple on the Milano restaurant menu? This recipe has been perfectly crafted so you can love and enjoy it when you're just too tired to leave the house.

Their supermarket range now also has more products should you want a little something on the side (so to speak), including three new salad dressings, House, House Light and Caesar, all at €3 each. This will be additions to the fan-favourites in the range, from the scrumptious dough balls which we always need more of (€2.99) and Milano classic pizzas, Margherita and Sloppy Giuseppe.

Milano’s new (and very tasty) retail product range is now available selected Tesco stores nationwide.

Why not treat yo-self? You deserve it.

We cannot wait for the Love Island finale! It is only three days away, so in the meantime we have got the scoop on the amazing Dani Dyer.

Dani and her boyfriend Jack Fincham are among the top favourites to win the popular reality show.

Dani originally encountered opposition from her father, East Ender’s actor Danny Dyer, when revealing her role on Love Island.

But her mother claims that the family rapidly changed their mind when watching the actress on the show, according to an interview with Hello!

‘I'm impressed with her advice on the housemates so far. She is a great listener in the house. She isn't very judgemental but knows the difference between right and wrong,’ said Dani’s mum, Jo.

She is proud of her daughter and of her behaviour on the show thus far. ‘Our little girl hasn't put a foot wrong in our eyes,’ she said in her interview.

Dani’s mother also spoke about her daughter’s childhood and released photos to Hello! that are just adorable.

Jo said the actress was ‘born to entertain’, and her first time on camera was on Barney and Friends at just five-years-old. Yes, she was already a diva at five!

Her mother gently lifted her on stage in Florida after Dani’s ceaseless requests to join the sing-a-long.

Dani was her ‘easiest child’, Jo gushed, ‘she just sang and danced. Dani does that now, […] she will break out in a song relevant to what you're talking about."

Fans of the show seem to agree as they rave about Dani on social media. Many of them are rooting for her and Jack to win as well.

But we will just have to wait for the Love Island’s finale to find out.

The final show is this Monday, July 30th at 9pm, but to Dani’s mum, her daughter ‘has already won in our eyes.’

We are rooting for Dani and Jack! Stay tuned for more Love Island updates!

The Duchess York has officially fired back at the Daily Mail, and we could not agree more with what she had to say. Get it, mama!

Sarah Ferguson could not believe the content of the scathing article Jan Moir at the Daily Mail penned about her daughter.

Princess Eugenie recently announced that that her wedding will be held in St. George’s Chapel, Windsor, and 1200 seats will be open for the public to attend.

Because this is the same venue Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had for their wedding, Jan claimed in her article: ‘Who the hell does Princess Eugenie think she is?’

But that’s not all the writer had to say about the princess.

The article went on to compare her to one of the Queen’s corgis, critiqued her outfit choices, called her spoiled, and mocked her job at an art gallery.

‘Let us be frank. For her first 28 years on this planet, Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie of York has done almost nothing of note,’ the writer continued.

Photo Credit: Getty Images/David M. Benett

Don't believe us? Check out the article for yourself. There is no holding back on the attack of the princess' character.

Poor Eugenie was then labelled as a royal moocher, with the dead set goal of gaining fame from her royal relations.

‘Like a neatly groomed, determined seagull, Eugenie has spent nearly three decades drifting along in the richly foaming wake of the Queen, picking off what she can from the royal catch.’

Well, her mother, and rightly so, decided to break the usual rules of engaging the media and step in to defend her daughter.

The Duchess of York posted a letter that her colleague Sarah Wade, CEO of Humanitas Charity, wrote to the Daily Mail.

The CEO questioned what the article’s purpose was: ‘Is it to make a young couple feel embarrassed or ashamed of the choices they have made for their wedding day or it is to invite anger and hatred towards them?’

She also called the article ‘tantamount to bullying’ and said the Daily Mail’s words were ‘unfounded and hurtful abuse’.

Eugenie’s mother posted the letter with the caption: ‘Couldn’t agree more with this letter about the disgusting article that Jan Moir wrote about @princesseugenie and Jack. Bullying at its’ premium and hiding behind a newspaper commenting about people you’ve never met.’

It seems that Sarah Ferguson is not going to lie down while her daughter’s reputation is slandered by a widespread publication based on ‘unfounded’ grounds. Girls have got to stick together!

The charity CEO then ended the letter with: ‘It is imperative that we support freedom of expression, but not when the intended outcome is to inflict pain on another person or incite others to do so.

‘And Jan Moir’s article does just that.’

Commenters have expressed their support for the Duchess and her daughter Jeanie, and could not believe that Jan’s article had been approved by the newspaper.

‘Good for You Ms. Sarah! Awesome retart. All Mom's should take a page from your book!’ One mum from Texas replied.

‘Absolutely disgraceful article and it’s about time Moir was sacked ! Daily Mail get your act together.. bullying on an epic scale,’ said another comment.

We have yet to see a response from Jan Moir or the Daily Mail, but we're glad to see Sarah Ferguson is making a stand against uncalled for negativity and what another commenter called, 'defamation of character'.

From today, pharmacies across the country will be selling over-the-counter self-test HIV kits.

The medical device takes a pinprick sample of blood and can detect HIV antibodies within 15 minutes. It is available to anyone over the age of 18 and can be purchased without a prescription.

The launch of the kit comes as the number of HIV diagnoses in Ireland have significantly increased. Since 2016, there have been 508 new cases of the disease – a 43.9 percent increase from 2006.

"Ireland becomes our fourth market to launch in, following already successful launches in France, Italy and Spain," explained Owen McKeon country manager for Mylan Ireland, the company behind the device.

"Over the coming months, we will be working with HIV patient organisations to increase awareness of the importance of early testing, and how tools like our self-testing kit, as well as taking a proactive approach to your health, can help in the fight against the spread of HIV."

We were looking forward to seeing Cardi B's money moves on stage this year.

Unfortunately, Cardi's fabulousness will have to stay at home with her new baby girl. The rapper announced that she will no longer be joining Bruno Mars on tour this fall.

The rap sensation posted her decision on Instagram, saying that she ‘underestimated this whole mommy thing.’

Cardi welcomed her new baby girl, Kulture Kiari Cephus, into the world on July 11th.

But the new mum has not had an easy experience so far. Just last week, her husband, Offset, was arrested in Atlanta, Georgia.

He was charged with four crimes: possession of a firearm, possession of an ounce or less of marijuana, possession of weapon during a crime and an improper lane change, according to E News.

He was soon released on bail and returned home to his family.

Cardi thought that she would be able to handle all of this and after six weeks be able to join Bruno on the 24k Magic tour.

However, this mama has decided to put her child first in her decision.

‘Not only am I not ready physically, I’m not ready to leave my baby behind, since the doctors explained it’s not healthy for her to be on the road,’ she went on.

This is the rap star’s first baby, and fans are already commending her for her decision.

One fan commented, ‘I don’t think anyone will be judge you for this decision your doing wats best for you and your baby that’s wat is moms do.’

Bruno has also stood behind her choice to stay behind with baby Kulture: 'Most important thing is for you and your family's health. I know the fans will understand.

A post shared by Bruno Mars (@brunomars) on

‘You are absolutely doing the right thing. […] Please give your baby girl a hug from me.” He posted his response on his own Instagram page.

Cardi said that this ‘decision has been the hardest to make’, but she hopes fans will understand that she needs to do what’s best for her and her baby.

Bruno still wants to share the stage with Cardi some time in the future, but right now she believes that she has made the best decision for her family at this time.

Wedding bells are ringing for Nick Jonas.

Fans of the Jonas Brothers look away now, as Nick has reportedly popped the question to his girlfriend Priyanka Chopra.

Which means our chances of ever marrying one of them is pretty much over.

A post shared by The Style Nut (@thestylenutweb) on

E! News reports that the couple are engaged after two months of dating.

The singer previously denied rumours that he was looking at engagement rings earlier this month, in the Tiffany & Co. store in London.

The couple were first romantically linked at the Met Gala in 2017, where they walked the red carpet together.

A post shared by Priyanka Chopra (@priyankachopra) on

However, it wasn't until May of this year fans grew suspicious of their relationship after they were spotted spending a lot of time in LA together.

Since then, the pair have reportedly been enjoying trips in Europe and India.

This will be the first marriage for both Nick and Priyanka.

A post shared by MY DESIGIRL PC (@mydesigirlpc) on

There will be plenty of engagement parties and wedding celebrations for the Jonas family.

Joe is engaged to Game Of Thrones actress, Sophie Turner.

The singer got down on one knee earlier this year.

Here's hoping that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will be on the guest list for Nick and Priyanka's big day.

Nonetheless, we are certain that it will be a star-studded event.
