Storm Ali has inconvenienced us for many reasons, whether we had to go hunting for our wheelie bin this morning or had to sit in an extra stretch of bad weather traffic.

A woman in County Galway has died in a tragic incident in the high winds brought by Storm Ali. 

The woman, who was in her 50s, was pronounced dead after strong winds blew the caravan she was staying in off a cliff in Clifden. 

'Gardai in Clifden Co Galway are dealing with an incident which occurred at Claddaghduff, Co Galway this morning. A caravan has blown off a cliff,' said a Garda spokesperson. 

Two weather warnings have been issued by Met Eireann, with an orange warning issued for Connacht, Cavan, Monaghan, Donegal, Dublin, Kildare, Longford, Louth, Offaly, Westmeath, Meath, Clare and Kerry.

Gusts between 110km/h and 130 km/h are expected. 

According to ESB, 20,000 homes are without power. 

A status yellow warning has also been issued nation wide.

After months of intensive, divisive campaigning, the Irish majority saw their May referendum vote come to fruition last night. 

Ireland’s constitutional ban on abortion is officially lifted.

The 8th amendment was removed from the Irish Constitution, as President Michael D Higgins signed the formal repeal legislation.  

The signing allowed the 8th Amendment to be replaced in the constitution with the 36th Amendment of the Constitution, which reads:

'Provision may be made by law for the regulation of termination of pregnancy.'

As the Amendment says, the government can now make steps to sign legislation allowing abortion up to 12 weeks in Ireland. 

The referendum saw Ireland vote 66.4% to 33.6% to remove the amendment.

More than two million people turned out to vote.

The Abortion Rights Campaign's March for Choice will take place to September 29th, rallying for free, safe and legal abortion access.

“Watching Kimberly be a mom, I really respect her parenting skills — not that I don’t respect Kourtney’s, I relate to how Kim parents more,” she announced.

Khloe did attempt to explain why she went with Kim, saying her parenting style just aligned up with Khloe's ideas of being a mum.

“I just think you have different parenting styles,” she said.

“I can’t make anything official until after the baby is born, but I am going to probably have Kim as the legal guardian if, God forbid, something happens."

Kourtney was quick to retort that she didn't need an explanation as she had three kids of her own and was already "busy".

But she didn't leave it at that, a little later on she voiced her opinion.

“I mean, I’m a little bit disappointed that I’m not the guardian, but honestly, you don’t know what your parenting style is until you have kids.”

Let's get real, Tyrion Lannister is arguably one of the best characters GoT has.

His wit, backstabbing and drunken antics have earned him a special place in our fangirl hearts. 

And the role would be nothing without actor Peter Dinklage, who won an Emmy last night for best-supporting actor. 

However, rumours surfaced that the actor didn't want the part – which he quickly put to bed.

Last night, backstage at the 2018 Emmys, Peter said the claims were "nonsense."

“How does that rumour get started? I had some concerns maybe it’s filtered down into some sort of rumour that I didn’t want to do it," he asked.

Peter has embodied Tyrion since 2011 and explained how the producers reassured any doubts he may have had about the part.

“But when I met Dave (Benioff) and Dan (Daniel Brett Weiss) for the first time with Carolyn Strauss, another producer on the show, (it was) so many years ago in LA here, they told me about it briefly.

“Then I, before I met them and then I came in with some concerns about this genre, having seen many… pieces, because I wasn’t familiar with the books, so I wasn’t familiar with the complexity of Tyrion at that point because unfortunately before this character, many times people my size weren’t complicated enough for me to be interested in doing it."

“I had done it one or two times before and it didn’t grab me but they relieved my concerns very quickly”, he added.

The HBO series, based on George R.R. Martin's books also brought home an Emmy for the best drama series.

The win comes despite heavy criticism from fans and critics about the last season of the addictive telly. 

Regardless of your feelings about season seven, we know you'll be glued to the screen for the final chapter, which will air next year.

Ireland became Blake Lively’s second home when she was filming upcoming movie Rhythm Section. The Gossip Girl alum spent many months filming in Dublin, but managed to find a little piece of heaven to unwind after a busy day on set.

It’s obvious the actress had the time of her life during her time in Ireland. She opened up about her love for the country at the premiere of her latest release A Simple Favour.

The actress gushed about the quaint Wicklow town Avoca, “Oh my god can we talk about Avoca, have you guys been to Avoca? You have to go to Ireland just to go to Avoca, it's just heaven.”

Blake couldn’t help but express her love for the town: “How it's described in the bible is inaccurate, heaven is what Avoca is… it's just hand weavers and amazing pastries and it's just heaven.”

Avoca is located just by the River Avoca in Co. Wicklow.

The serene town is full of heart and is the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of Dublin city.

It’s time to batten down the hatches because Storm Ali is making its way towards the Emerald Isle. Those long, sunny summer days are now a distant memory.

Gone are the days of flip-flops and sunburn. They have swiftly been replaced by battered umbrellas and winter coats.

Met Éireann have now issued a weather warning for Wednesday, September 19.

The status orange wind warning will impact at least 13 counties: Cavan, Monaghan, Donegal, Dublin, Kildare, Louth, Meath, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo, Sligo, Clare and Kerry.

They are expecting strong winds of 65 and 80 km/h. Gusts of 110 and 120km/h have also been forecasted.

Winds will be strongest along the Atlantic Coast at first and will then extend eastwards later in the morning.

Met Éireann has asked the public to be prepared for the extreme conditions tomorrow. It is essential to be extra cautious when travelling in the stormy weather.

The warning remains in place until lunchtime tomorrow.

Ryan Thomas has suffered through an emotional journey during his time on this season’s Celebrity Big Brother.

His alleged abuse of Roxanne Pallett was the talk of the reality show, but the public rallied behind him and voted him winner of this year’s series.

Even though the father was able to prove his innocence, he was worried about what the scandal would do to his reputation.

The Coronation Street star opened up about the show’s aftermath and its effect on his personal life on This Morning. Knowing that viewers were supporting him made all the difference.

“You’re not supposed to hear what happens on the outside but that sort of clarification for me was massive. You’ll see me crying again because it was a relief of the public giving me something I needed right then.”

And because of the massive media reaction, the dad even began to doubt the truth of his innocence.

“I questioned myself. I even questioned, ‘Did I hurt this woman?’ It was so nothing to me, and maybe I caught her with my ring or on her arm, I was even questioning what happened because everyone was making such a thing out of it.”

Being cut off from the outside world only added more undeserved uncertainty to his situation.

The Corrie star has been humble in his handling of the situation, and he commended Roxanne for her verbal apology.

Baffled by the arrival of their former nanny Jane can’t help but ask why Mary has returned after all this time.
