Bodyguard has become the BBC's first series to be nominated for an Outstanding Drama Series Emmy in nearly 50 years, but it's star was snubbed in the Best Actor drama category.

The actor played the role of David Budd, war veteran turned head of security for controversial British Home Secretary Julia Montague, played by Keeley Hawes.

Madden picked up the Golden Globe for Best Actor in a TV Drama Series, beating Ozark‘s Jason Bateman, Stephan James (Homecoming), Pose's iconic Billy Porter and Matthew Rhys (The Americans).

It's fair to say that fans are absolutely livid over the former Game of Thrones actor's snub, and are demanding answers…

Critic Scott Feinberg of the Hollywood Reporter pointed out in a tweet how odd it was to see the show nominated without Madden getting a nod when he was in pretty much every scene.

Madden received great reviews for his recent appearance in Elton John biopic Rocketman, and was even named one of 2019’s 100 Most Influential People by Time magazine…So why the rudeness?

Critic Philiana Ng of Entertainment Tonight agreed with the fans about the shocking omission, using Madden's image as a meme to show her dismay;

Twitter user Katy wrote; "Golden Globe Winner Richard Madden snubbed of an Emmy nomination just doesn’t sit right with me at all.

"He put his heart and soul into making 360 minutes of television & delivered one of the most breathtaking performances I’ve ever seen and then doesn’t even get nominated." DAMN RIGHT.

Some even resorted to using Emmy-nominated Kit Harington to emphasise their sadness;

The star gave his all when it came to his performance as David Budd, who suffers from PTSD from his time serving in the British army in Afghanistan.

The thriller aired in the US on Netflix but was originally produced by ITV-owned producer World Productions for the British public broadcaster.

As well as Bodyguard's Outstanding Drama Series nomination, creator Jed Mercurio also picked up a nomination for Outstanding Writing For A Drama Series for the pilot.

Game of Thrones leads the Emmy Awards nominations, setting a new record with a whopping 32 total nominations.

Brilliant Phoebe Waller-Bridge BBC show Fleabag landed 11 nominations, including a Lead Actress nod for the writer/actress, whose show Killing Eve also received multiple nominations.

Bodyguard is expected to return for season two, with Mercurio saying he was “optimistic” about its chances of a renewal. All we want right now though, is Justice For Richard.

Let's get real, Tyrion Lannister is arguably one of the best characters GoT has.

His wit, backstabbing and drunken antics have earned him a special place in our fangirl hearts.

And the role would be nothing without actor Peter Dinklage, who won an Emmy last night for best-supporting actor.

However, rumours surfaced that the actor didn't want the part – which he quickly put to bed.

Last night, backstage at the 2018 Emmys, Peter said the claims were "nonsense."

“How does that rumour get started? I had some concerns maybe it’s filtered down into some sort of rumour that I didn’t want to do it," he asked.

Peter has embodied Tyrion since 2011 and explained how the producers reassured any doubts he may have had about the part.

“But when I met Dave (Benioff) and Dan (Daniel Brett Weiss) for the first time with Carolyn Strauss, another producer on the show, (it was) so many years ago in LA here, they told me about it briefly.

“Then I, before I met them and then I came in with some concerns about this genre, having seen many… pieces, because I wasn’t familiar with the books, so I wasn’t familiar with the complexity of Tyrion at that point because unfortunately before this character, many times people my size weren’t complicated enough for me to be interested in doing it."

“I had done it one or two times before and it didn’t grab me but they relieved my concerns very quickly”, he added.

The HBO series, based on George R.R. Martin's books also brought home an Emmy for the best drama series.

The win comes despite heavy criticism from fans and critics about the last season of the addictive telly.

Regardless of your feelings about season seven, we know you'll be glued to the screen for the final chapter, which will air next year.

Winter is coming ladies and gents.

As far as we're concerned here at SHEmazing! HQ, the kids from Stranger Things get more adorable with every passing day.

From Gaten Matarazzo's approach to photos with fans to Millie Bobby Brown's reaction to Aaron Paul's telephone interview, these young stars are a total breath of fresh air.

And just when we thought they couldn't get any sounder, they proved us wrong this weekend by cycling through the audience at the Emmy Awards while distributing peanut butter and jelly sandwiches to eager (and hungry) TV stars.

Dressed as the characters which propelled them to international stardom this summer, Gaten, Millie and Caleb provided some of Hollywood's biggest stars with America's favourite sandwich from the baskets of their classic 1980s bicycles.

Give each of those kids a star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame, damn it.

One of our favourite looks from Sunday night's Emmy Awards was Game of Thrones star, Maisie Williams.

She donned a very soft retro look with a pastel pink strapless gown and fluff-top heels (which we adore).

Something else we adored on the night was Maisie's make-up.

Her skin glowed from one end of the red carpet to the other and we have just found out that's all thanks to Kiehl's skincare.

Makeup artist, Kindra Mann, was responsible for the stars look on the night.

“I was totally inspired tonight by Maisie's retro feeling pink dress. I loved that the colour and texture gave it a vintage feel."

"We wanted the makeup to feel that same way, but with a more modern twist.”

“To keep Maisie’s skin looking fresh all night I started off by pressing a few drops of Kiehl’s Daily Reviving Concentrate onto her skin before applying a little of Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream for added moisture."

"I prepped the under eye area with a little of Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado.

Sounds like a dreamy pampering session to us!

“For the lips we wanted a nice nude color that was a little softer than the pink in the dress.  I started off by applying Kiehl’s Lip Balm #1 to hydrate the lips."

"I then added Hourglass Femme Nude Lip Stylo in #1 Pale Pink Nude to give it that perfect nude color.”

And what's more, we can get our hands on these gorgeous products too! Everything used on Maisie is available from Dundrum Town Centre and Arnotts

Felicity Huffman is best known as the blonde Desperate Housewife from Wisteria Lane.

But last night, the 52-year-old actress looked almost unrecognisable as she showed off her chocolate brown locks at the Emmy Awards.

Felicity first debuted her look at the Emmy Eve party in LA on Saturday night, where she wore a figure-hugging dress to show her toned physique.

Her husband, William H Macy, was behind her all the way as she posed on the red carpet, her dark hair straightened and wearing delicate make-up.

Her frock had a see-through mesh with gold pattern details, which she teamed with gold heels.

At the official Emmy Award ceremony, Felicity opted for her hair in a messy updo, and wore a navy pleated halter gown.

The star had been nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited Series or Movie, for her appearance in American Crime

Her husband was also nominated for a gong for his role in Shameless US

We love her new look and think her and her hubby look so cute together!

Now this was a red carpet to remember!

Big time red carpet events have been scrutinised of late for their rather boring and obvious fashion sense – but last night's Emmy Awards certainly turned the style game up a notch.

Never have we seen so many innovative, daring and risky-yet-classy choices from our favourite stars on TV.

From well established labels to never-before-mentioned designers, here's a look at our top ten looks:

Kerry Washington

This metallic dot lace number from Marc Jacobs was a brilliant choice for Kerry. Extravagant yet elegant, her look is a top player for us.

Laura Prepon

Laura looked like she was a Grecian Queen last night in this Christian Siriano number. Her black hair contrasted with the red and gold beautifully. She was certainly dressed to kill.

Claire Danes

The pencil-thin, slick-sequined stripes combined with heavy chain detail straps was an unconventional choice for Claire, yet we love this Prada number on her so much.

Kiernan Shipka

This Dior combination is odd, but dreamy. The delicately embroidered, lavishly gilded top with black pencil trousers is a refreshing take for the young Hollywood star. Will Kiernan be out next style crush?

Sophie Turner

Game of Thrones actress, Sophie went for sophisticated-cool last night. With mostly all attendees wearing dresses, we love this Galvan jumpsuit with a blue velvet top.

Sofia Vergara

Hugging her in all the right places, Sofia looked like an old Hollywood movie star last night. The Saint John number was the perfect combination of sexy yet classy.

Taraji P. Henson

We're obsessed with Taraji's custom Alexander Wang dress. Detailing a little transparency through the skirt and a keyhole cut-out with chain straps – it sent us to style heaven.

Uzo Aduba

Uzo won an Emmy last night and to collect her award she graced the stage in a pink (and fabulous) Jonathan Cohen gown. This is definitely one for innovation and we love the grey detail across her waist. Very art deco.

Danielle Brooks

Another OITNB actress wowed on the red carpet last night. Danielle shined like the sun in this Christian Siriano number. Top marks for jumping out of the safe colour zones.

Sarah Hyland

Sarah wore a Zac Posen dress last night ans we're crushing on the autumn colour. She styled it perfectly with a short, choppy hair do' and matching jewellery. Brownie points for the same colour nails!

If there's one thing American Horror Story actress, Sarah Paulson doesn't like, it's being asked the same question twice.

The 34 year-old actress, who played a woman with two heads in the Freakshow series, was obviously at her wit's end when asked the same joke by Giuliana Rancic for E!.

The red carpet host jokingly asked Sarah if she would win two Emmys for her role in the hit horror series, to which she responded: "Everyone's asked me that and I think the answer is sadly no."

After Giuliana shows her shock, Sarah replies: "No sorry, sweetie, everyone's asked me that." Ouch.

We're not sure who was right or wrong here, but that sure must have been an awkward interview.

Grammys, VMAs, American Music Awards, Billboard Awards… and now an Emmy.

Taylor Swift is going to need a separate room for all of her award statuettes at this rate, but she still finds time to get excited about each new win.

The singer was awarded a Creative Emmy on Saturday, but due to tour commitments had to celebrate in Texas rather than at the awards show itself. She didn't seem too bothered though, taking the opportunity to pose for countless selfies with her crew all day long.

"WHEN THEY OVERNIGHT YOU AN EMMY…. I DID NOT KNOW THIS WAS A THING" she wrote on Twitter, posting a series of snaps of herself and the 1989 team with the iconic gold statuette.

"We have no chill. The Emmy has rendered us chill-less," she wrote alongside another snap on Instagram.

Taylor won the Best Original Interactive Program gong for her work on AMEX Unstaged: Taylor Swift Experience, which allows fans to delve deeper into her music videos and find hidden details..

The program was first debuted in the Blank Space video, filmed using special 'immersive' 360-degree cameras.

Although the actual awards show took place on Saturday, news of Taylor's win emerged last Thursday, though she admitted she didn't believe it at first.

In a Twitter response to The Hollywood Reporter, who first broke the news, Taylor said she thought it was all a "prank" at first:

Humblebragging at its best right there. Wonder if an Oscar and a Tony will be next?
