Today, up to 5,000 men, women and children set out from the Garden of Remembrance in Dublin City to march in solidarity with the Women's March on Washington.

Banners flew and drums were beaten as people congregated to demonstrate that sexism, racism, and homophobia will not be tolerated.

A steady chant of "anti-women, anti-gay, Donald Trump go away" was the backing track to the march, as people the world over sought to make a statement to the 45th President of the United States on his first day in office.

Organisations such as the Union of Students in Ireland, the Abortion Rights Campaign, the Coalition to Repeal the 8th Amendment, the People Before Profit Alliance and the National Women’s Council of Ireland were all present.

The march kicked off at around 12 noon, and the crowd made its way down O'Connell Street.

The march was intended to end in a rally outside the GPO, but due to the huge number of participants, the culmination of the march had to be moved back to the Garden of Remembrance.

A number of marchers gave rousing speeches from the DIY palette podium, from Colm O'Gorman of Amnesty International Ireland to Molly Cyr from the Abortion Rights Campaign.

A similar demonstration also took place in Galway City's Eyre Square.

Geri Horner gave birth to her second child earlier today, and unlike some celebs (here’s looking at you, Stephanie Davis), she wasted no time in sharing the tot’s name with us.

The 44-year-old took to Instagram to share the very first photo of her newborn son – and reveal his very unique moniker.

“Montague George Hector Horner arrived this morning, a beautiful little brother for Bluebell and Olivia,” she wrote.

Geri was, of course, referring to her 11-year-old daughter as well as husband Christian’s little girl.

While Montague is certainly a very Shakespearean name, there’s no doubt as to where Geri got the inspiration for her son’s second name.

Geri and the late George Michael, who passed away on Christmas Day, were the best of friends. Indeed, the Freedom singer was godfather to Bluebell.

Well, what do you think of the name?

Geri announced her wonderful baby news this morning, tweeting that she and husband Christian were ‘delighted’ to welcome their first child together.

The day is extra special for fans of the Spice Girls, too, as Geri’s friend and former band mate Emma Bunton turns 41 today.

We can all agree that when it comes to beauty products, Charlotte Tilbury is an absolute QUEEN.

This fact is only proven more accurate by her latest product launch…

The Instant Magic Dry Facial Sheet Mask will hit Charlotte Tilbury stores around the world in March, and we really cannot wait.

What separates this product from any other sheet mask, though?

Well, it's dry, which means you won't be left with a gooey layer on your face after you use it; you will be left dry, and GLOWING.

Also, the fact that the mask is dry means that you can reuse it three times, which makes it better value.

The cloth is infused with ingredients like Vitamin B3, plant cell matrix, crocus bulb extract, and Charlotte's signature "magic oils".

The mask will cost around €21, which is really just €7 a pop when you think about it.

Sounds good to us!

Ed Sheeran pretty much took himself completely out of the limelight last year.

There was no social media, no new music, and no gossip about him – just the way he wanted it.

But now, the man has come back with a bang this year, releasing not one but two songs on the same day – as well as having an upcoming tour and album on the way.

And part of being back in the limelight is having to do various promotions, such as radio and television shows.

The singer was on The Graham Norton Show last night and took part in everyone's favourite segment; the red chair.

Now, Ed didn't know it, but the man going on to the red chair was his childhood friend whom he spent a lot of time with growing up.

As the man sat down, Ed still didn't realise who it was – until he started telling the story about when Ed's mam made them sausages (it was actually kinda boring).

Look out for when Ed cops on to who it is (around 35:50), because his reaction is absolutely priceless.

To be honest, most of us still think we're living in a different dimension now that Donald Trump is President of the United States.

While he doesn't have a particularly political background, he ran his campaign on the premise that he's a self-made millionaire with financial stability.

However, his daughter Tiffany – partly famous for her eye-catching snaps on the Rich Kids of Instagram – has come under fire for wanting her hairstylist to do her hair for nothing. Completely free. Zilch.

Well, actually, not zilch… instead, Tiffany and her mother offered to give the hairstylist "exposure" on social media.

The stylist, Tricia Kelly, spoke to The Washington Post about the entire ordeal, admitting she was 'stunned': "I told them… I work for a fee, not for free."

According to Tricia, Tiffany and Donald's second wife, Marla Maples, initially hired her for the inauguration, and after a few rounds of trial-runs and back-and-forth negotiations, the two sides settled on a $200 fee.

When the women both refused to pay, Tricia received a message from one of Marla's representatives, telling her: "You are messing with the President of the United States," and "Tiffany is used to a certain lifestyle, and you don't understand that."

Needless to say, Tricia turned down the offer.

Whether you love your name or hate your name, it could be the key to your success. Well, apparently.

Recent research has revealed how a name can influence the way people respond to you and see you as a person.

Professor Richard Wiseman, from the University of Hertfordshire, told the Inquirer: "If your name sounds intelligent, successful and attractive, you are more likely to act those things."

And similarly, another study was conducted by psychologist Albert Mehrabian of the University of California, which showed that people were treated differently depending on how attractive or unattractive their name was.

In his book Beneficial and Harmful Baby Names, he wrote: "Names make impressions, just like the way you clothe your child or the way you groom them makes an impression. People with 'undesirable' names do get treated differently."

He also came up with a list of the most attractive names:

Girls
1. Elizabeth
2. Jacqueline
3. Holly
4. Ann
5. Mary

Boys
1. James
2. Steven
3. Christopher
4. Kenneth
5. Thomas

nice thumbs up michelle obama sarcastic cool story bro

Bottom of the list:

Girls
1. Elvira
2. Eula
3. Shar
4. Zoila
5. Latrina

Boys
1. Butch
2. Rufus
3. Ozzie
4. Jock
5. Rip

In the study, the researchers concluded that there seems to be an apparent link between your name and what you're interested in – just look at the fastest man on Earth, Usain Bolt.

OK, we appreciate that Halloween is months away, and we may not really need to dress up as a unicorn until then.

HOWEVER, we really felt that this amazing hair tutorial was too good to ignore.

The wonderful people behind the YouTube channel Turnt Beauty recently posted a fabulous hair tutorial, which shows viewers how to achieve unicorn hair.

We're not talking about that classic pastel dye-job that we love, we're talking a full-on UNICORN HORN and everything!

The model gets her hair dyed and up-styled in the most amazing way ever, and the results are magical.

Our ONLY suggestion would be to maybe splash some glitter onto the hair, you know yourself.

Other than that though, this hair is FLAWLESS.

Hungover? Having a bad day? In the mood for something to put a smile on your face? Look no further.

Because, well… what's better than a man and his dog dressing up in the same outfits?

Topher Brophy is an artist living in New York, and he adopted a puppy, Roseberg, two years ago.

However, when Topher brought Roseberg out on walks, people would stop him in the street and tell him that he and his dog look really similar.

And then, one day, the pair stepped out in matching denim shirts – and everyone went wild.

Topher told Cosmo: "People crowded around us and made a big fuss. Kids went crazy."

And from then on, the artist began to dress his dog the same, and took photos to share on social media.

What do you do when your delivery truck full of red Skittles gets flooded, and the sweets are poured out all over the street? A pretty sticky situation – but this one takes a weird turn.

The candy wasn't going to a shop, or to a factory to be packaged, like most of us would think (also; why were there only red Skittles?). Instead, they were going to some cows.

We're legit not joking.

The County Sheriff's Office in Wisconsin, in the US, has reported that the sweets "were intended to be feed for cattle."

And apparently, this has been going on for years! Bakeries and sweet companies sell their rejected candy as animal feed, which is a source of "cheap carbs", a former farmer told WBAY.

The cost of corn has been rising over the years, and mixing candy into the cows' food is now common practice.

"When you talk about feeding candy, it's something that can help supplement a small portion of the diet. Cows need carbohydrates as well. They need sugar. It provides energy and calories for them," said Liz Binversie, an agriculture expert.

You learn something new everyday, huh?
