In the aftermath of global protests yesterday, the Women’s March has left people across the globe fired-up and ready to make their voices heard.

With many pledging to join the 100 days of resistance against Donald Trump, some have decided to get to work by leaving strong messages for him and all to see.

Cities around the world have been embellished with sanitary pads over the last 24 hours, each one bearing an important message on behalf of the movement.

With slogans like ‘proud to be a nasty woman’ and ‘women fight back’, the feminist movement – and, indeed, the movement towards equality for everyone – has truly been ignited by the events of the last few months.

“Imagine if some men were as disgusted with rape as they are with periods” was the message on one sanitary pad, stuck to a public bench in D.C.

Clearly, many didn’t come equipped to share their sanitary pad message, so they instead decided to improvise and make the best of what they had.

Hanging like Christmas tree ornaments, bras of all colours and sizes decorated trees in Washington D.C. and cities across the U.S. and the world.

With pictures like these, it’s impossible not to feel inspired by the events that transpired yesterday.

Well done to everyone who took part in any way they could.

Listen, it's no great secret that we are really into unicorns, but is nothing sacred anymore?

While we love the idea of chowing down on a pastel pink donut or lilac pancakes, we cannot condone the idea of unicorn RAMEN noodles.

We hate to tell you, but throwing a splash of food colouring into a recipe does not automatically give a food unicorn status.

Unicorns should be respected and adored… not taken for granted, ladies. 

Also, the concept of mixing a savoury dish with the most magical creature to never walk the Earth just seems… well, wrong. 

Also, ALSO… these weird noodles look like worms. 

If it's not sugary and sweet, then it is NOT a unicorn food group.

Yesterday, millions of men, women and children from around the world took to the streets for the Women’s March.

With the original intent of marching in Washington D.C. to protest Donald Trump’s discriminatory message throughout his presidential campaign, word quickly spread, and hundreds of thousands of people wanted to rally for the cause.

We were proud to walk the streets of Dublin yesterday alongside thousands of you, and it seems we weren’t the only ones.

Famous faces from all across the globe also got their walking shoes on and have been flooding our social media with inspirational messages ever since.

Get ready for some of the cutest pictures you have EVER seen…

The Wildlife SOS Elephant Conservation and Care Centre in Mathura, Northern India is home to 20 rescued elephants.

These lovely elephants get baths, a nutritious diet and any veterinary care they may need, while also roaming a large sanctuary of open fields.

Not only do these majestic animals receive healthcare and food, they have also been tricked out with some pretty cool attire. 

Women in a nearby village have been knitting large, colourful sweaters for the elephants in the centre, to keep them protected from cold winter temperatures. 

Amazing! 

We cannot begin to cope with how cute this is!

As if we needed another reason to love David Beckham.

On the way back to his Kensington home this weekend, the dad-of-four came across an elderly woman who had collapsed in the street.

With a fire engine on the scene to assist her, and an ambulance on the way, most people would likely drive on and leave the professionals to it.

Not David Beckham.

The 41-year-old moved his car in front of the lady, so as to block any oncoming traffic from getting too close.

Giving her a bottle of water, David waited until the paramedics arrived before going about his day.

And it wasn’t just the elderly lady who was thankful for the help; onlookers were shocked and impressed to witness the A-lister’s act of kindness.

“Was helping an old lady who fell over on my lunch break, and guess who drives up to help? David Beckham. That’s who. What a gentleman,” wrote one passer-by.

A spokesman for the London Fire Brigade also commented on the incident, saying:

“At around 4.45pm, a fire engine was flagged down to an elderly woman who had tripped when crossing the road, and fell and hit her head.

“David Beckham was parked nearby and had already given her a bottle of water. He assisted and, when the ambulance arrived, was thanked and told he could move on.”

As elaborate proposals go, this one is definitely up there with the best of them.

Telling the story of his girlfriend, Cara and her obsession with all things Beauty and the Beast, Imgur user jel2930 documented his plans for a truly unique proposal.

Deciding to “recreate the famous scene” where Belle and Beast dance – you know the one – this thoughtful boyfriend started his quest to the perfect proposal with the perfect dress.

“The project began in a basement with a cheap sewing machine and a dream. And coffee. Lots of coffee,” read a caption in the series of photographs.

With the perfect dress complete, he then had to find the perfect venue to match.

Taking inspiration from Cara’s favourite character, he settled on Iowa State Parks Library Periodical Room.

Slipping into her custom dress, Cara seemed only too delighted when her boyfriend dropped to one knee and pulled out a sparkler.

And the newly engaged couple couldn’t leave without sneaking in a romantic dance.

Tale as old as time, and all that.

None of us will deny the fact that, sometimes, the things we love most are actually bad for us (chocolate, chipper, drinking, etc.).

Another fact we cannot deny is that dogs LOVE playing fetch, whether it’s a stick, ball or a frisbee… they just love it.

You may be wondering where we’re going with this, but keep reading…

APPARENTLY, playing fetch is actually really bad for dogs (who knew?), and we’re really sad about it.

According to a report published in the BMC Veterinary Research journal, “when dogs carry things in their mouths, it puts additional strain on their front legs, which over time can be harmful. It apparently makes them tilt forward”.

How sad for them!

The study found that “when a dog is carrying a toy weighing around half a kilogram, they distribute 66 percent of their body weight on the front legs”.

However, when the weight was increased to 4kg, 75 percent of the weight shifted to their front legs… not good, folks.

The study does not say you should stop playing fetch with your furry friends; just try and ensure that the toys you’re using are as light as possible.
