We may be only days away from the beginning of May, but according to the latest weather forecast, we're in for one hell of a wintery night.

We know; joyful news.

According to the Met Éireann website, a fairly cloudy day today will ultimately give way to a particularly rough evening.

"Mostly cloudy at first today, with outbreaks of rain. Clearer, brighter and more showery conditions will extend down from the north this afternoon. Some of the showers could be heavy with a risk of hail." forecasters explained.

And then the evening kicks in.

"Rather windy tonight and cold, with clear spells and showers, the showers most frequent over Connacht and Ulster. Some will be of hail, with a risk of sleet over high ground."

And in addition to sleet and showers, we have thunder and frost to look forward to as well.

"There is also a risk of thunder, especially in northern and western coastal counties. Lows of 0 to +3 degrees, with frost in places sheltered from the moderate to fresh north to northwest winds," reads the official forecast.

If anyone needs us, we'll be in our fort.

According to figures from the Health Products Regulatory Authority, there was a significant decline in the amount of abortion pills seized by customs last year.

536 abortion pills were seized at Ireland’s boarders in 2016, 200 less than 2015 and more than 500 less than the 2014 figures.

According to The Irish Times, Irish women are beginning to use Northern Ireland addresses in order to bypass Irish border controls and gain access to the medication.

A spokesperson for the regulatory authority warned patients of the risks involved with ordering the medication online: “There is no way of knowing how safe these medicines are or if they will work properly.”

Rebecca Gomperts, founder of Women on Web, a website where Irish women can order misoprostol and mifepristone, does not believe the drop in the amount of pills being confiscated represents a drop in the number of women who are accessing the medication.

‘’Women will find other addresses outside Ireland to receive the medical abortion pills.”

She continued, “It is widely known that making abortion illegal does not stop women from having abortions.”

The news follows a meeting of the Citizens Assembly over the weekend where the majority voted for access to abortions without restrictions.

A new survey by Youth Work Ireland has revealed that we are becoming a more tolerant and accepting society.

The results were published in conjunction with the launch of the organisation's #Equality17 campaign and showed that Ireland’s youth are more accepting of ethnic minorities and sexuality than previous generations.

In fact, three quarters of the 1,000 14 to 24-year-olds surveyed labelled themselves as more tolerant than their parents.

Unfortunately the results were not as positive when the participants were asked to refer to specific ethnic groups.

80 per cent said they were more accepting of African immigrants, however, figures fell to 66 per cent when the participants were asked about their attitude towards Muslims.

When it came to members of the travelling and Roma communities, 58 per cent of young people felt they were more tolerant than their parents, while 74 per cent believed they showed a greater concern and awareness of people with disabilities.

Spokesman, Michael McLaughlin, has this to say about the findings:

"It certainly shows across a whole range of areas including immigrant populations – that young people would be seen as considerably more tolerant of immigration in Ireland and of ethnic diversity in general.

"It's probably something that we've always expected but it's useful to see it in these figures confirmed for us," he said.

Others findings from the survey suggested that 95 per cent of young people thought they were more accepting of gay people and 91 per cent said they were less likely to be influenced by the Catholic Church than previous generations.

British Vogue has given its opinion on Dublin's fair city.

The Vogue Guide to Dublin has some pretty great spots on its list, however, you may want to take out a mini loan if you plan on doing all of these things in the space of one weekend.

However, we're very board with waking up in one hotel and going to sleep in another… #lavishlife.

We love the top ten places they recommend:

Stay: At the Marker

"The Marker Hotel is a juxtaposition of urbanity and nature. Its dominant checkered façade cascades over its neighbours, setting the aesthetic tone for a developing borough populated by start-ups and tech mavericks," the website reads.

Shop: At Roads

Gilly Hopper for Vogue comments, "The publishing house, created by Danielle Ryan, embodies elegance and innovation, working with the best international artists, curators and designers to create books that are collectable and timeless works of art."

Eat lunch: At Bastible

"From the simple to the complex, Bastible, a contemporary neighbourhood bistro, focuses on seasonal produce and an eclectic set menu," reads the site.

Don't miss: Francis Bacon’s Studio at The Hugh Lane Gallery

"Today you can encounter Bacon’s chaotic working space, which conserves photographic materials, slashed canvases and some two thousand samples of Bacon's painting materials," says Gilly.

Shop: At Article

The review reads, "Located in Lord Powerscourt's former dressing room, Article is a homewares haven in the heart of Dublin city. Offering an edited selection of items created by local and contemporary Irish designers, the relaxed retail space will make gift shopping a breeze."

Stop off: At 777

"Combining bold flavours from Mexico City with international tastes, 777 is the ideal spot for a full feast or just a post-prandial drink," Vogue reports.

Visit: The Long Room at Trinity College Library

Gilly recommends, "During your visit, count the 48 marble busts of eminent writers and philosophers and compare the halls to the computer-generated version, which appeared as the Jedi Archive in Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones."

Drink: At Sidecar at The Westbury

"The Twenties style bar is filled with tarnished mirror walls and marble tables, a stand-out space in the newly revamped hotel. Relax in a sumptuous velvet armchair as you work your way through the extensive drinks menu," says the review.

Eat dinner: At Forest & Marcy or Forest Avenue Restaurant

Vogue remarks, "For lunch or dinner, choose from two bespoke restaurants created by culinary duo John and Sandy Wyer. Offering fine dining at an affordable price, the couple (formerly of L’Ecrivain) focus on simple fare across both their restaurants."

Relax: The Dean

The writer knows how to do it well: "Settle into a modern boutique room clad with Marshall amps and a fully stocked mini Smeg, before indulging in a firewood pizza and a cocktail at Sophie’s rooftop restaurant."

Even if you're a major superstar, that doesn't stop your mam from sending you a cringey text.

Kendrick Lamar is killing it at the moment, after having just released the fastest selling album of 2017 so far.

However, last night the rapper shared a tweet he received from his mother – and it's really just like any text our mammies would send us.

His mam definitely went overboard with the emojis, something we're sure most can relate to.

And Kendrick noted on it, replying to his mam, "You going emoji brazy."

Ah, we just love when we can relate to superstars…

The Citizens Assembly met this weekend for the final time as the assembly continued to reconsider Ireland's controversial constitutional restrictions on abortion.

And it looks like everything is about to change, with the majority voting for access to abortions without restrictions.

Various members have been tweeting about it on social media today, with many praising the assembly for finally coming to the result that mostly everybody wanted.

It's a massive win for the pro-choice movement, which saw a 64 per cent favour in access to abortions without restrictions.

And everyone is rejoicing on Twitter:

The Citizens’ Assembly have made clear that the Oireachtas must assume responsibility for legislating for abortion.  That’s according to the Coalition to Repeal the Eighth Amendment.

Commenting today, Ailbhe Smyth, Convenor of the Coalition, said: “The Assembly members have recommended this matter be put fairly and squarely in the hands of the legislators – where it should always have been.

“Our politicians know it is their duty, as members of the Oireachtas, to make laws.  When circumstances and public opinion are clearly demonstrating an urgent need for new legislation, they cannot shirk their responsibility.

“The Government cynically established the Citizens’ Assembly to avoid making difficult decisions themselves.  Through their hard work and dedication, the Assembly members concluded what the Government should have known all along: that is the role of the legislature to legislate.

“This puts it up to our politicians now.  There’s nothing left for them to hide behind; they need to get on with addressing this issue once and for all," Ailbhe added.

We all know that sense of absolute terror and dread when our make-up falls on the ground and smashes all over the place.

Bear in mind it's probably only an Essence bronzer, or a Penneys Pro blush, but the devastation is gut-wrenching nonetheless.

And no matter how many videos we watch showing you how to bring your make up back from the cosmetics cemetery, we just can't seem to put it all back together again.

But, what we've noticed is that the devastation only hits when it's your make-up, but if it's somebody elses, well, we actually get a bit of enjoyment from seeing it all smashed to pieces.

And that's where this Youtube series comes in. The Makeup Breakup is a new video series hosted by two Australian beauty vloggers, and we love it.

For them, nothing is off limits, whether it's Chanel, Kylie Cosmetics or Lancome – everything gets smashed.

So, if you're in a particularly fragile state today after a night out, sit back in your jammies and let the smashing commence.

If recent reports are to be believed, it looks like Ed Sheeran could be looking to quit music for a few years… or indeed, forever.

The singer is currently ruling the charts at the the moment with his recent tracks from his latest album, Divide.

However, a source close to the star said that when he settles down with a family, that could be the end of his music career.

“Ed has pretty much achieved everything there is to achieve in music,” an insider told the Daily Star on Sunday.

“He absolutely loves what he does and is riding the wave of his success at the moment, but at the same time he wants a more normal life,” the source continued.

“When or if he gets married he wants to put his wife and kids first and not his career. If that means going AWOL for years then so be it."

Ed has been in a relationship with Cherry Seaborn for the past two years, with numerous insiders claiming she is The One.

“The big test is if the relationship survives this album and the tour,” the source continued.

We kinda want Ed to be in the charts forever…

Look, sometimes we just don't think straight when we're around someone we fancy.

We've twirled our hair only for strands of it to fall out, tried to be sophisticated only for us to tumble on the ground, and we're sure most of us know all about getting that little bit too tipsy in front of your crush only to wake up the next morning with the ultimate fear.

*Shivers*

But, 'Gatsbying' is a new term for something we've been doing since the Bebo days.

Have you ever shared a picture online, with the sole purpose that your crush will notice it and see how amazingly smart and gorgeous you are?

We're not even going to try to deny it, we've all done it.

According to Mashable, the trend has been coined 'Gatsbying' after the main character in the book The Great Gatsby.

"Posting a Snapchat to your story and then waiting for that one specific person to watch it, is the modern day equivalent of Gatsby throwing elaborate parties seeking Daisy's attention," wrote a Reddit user named Cupcake-Warrior.

At least we have a name for it now!

Georgia Penna has shared a very rare photo of her twin toddlers.

When her boys were first born, Georgia sent a message out to the press asking them to respect their privacy, and that she won't be putting any photos of her babies up on social media.

However, the Irish model took to Instagram this morning to share a picture of her chilling with her children.

The mum-of-two simply captioned the picture "Sunday chill."

In the snap, her beautiful blonde sons are seen sitting on her lap on as they watch a cartoon.

We love this little insight to Georgia's life as a parent!

Videos of people peeling off those charcoal blackhead masks have been doing the rounds on social media for a while now.

But this girl just went one step further by covering her entire body with it (except her face, for some reason).

Youtuber Nicole Skyes took the full body challenge (oh God, is it a challenge now?!) and then uploaded the results to her Youtube and social media pages.

And basically, it's about 11 minutes of Nicole screaming in pain.

When she gets to her stomach, look away because it will make you squirm.
