If you're due to use the Red Line Luas this morning, it might be worth considering an alternative mode of transport.

According to the tram operator's social media feed, the Luas has experienced technical difficulties on the route which serves the city centre.

Following numerous updates, the latest post, which was uplaoded 20 minutes ago, confirms that the Red Line Luas is running from Tallaght/ Saggart to Smithfield only.

Tram operators have assured customers that tickets will be accepted on Dublin Bus.

Customers have wasted no time communicating their displeasure with the lack of communication in the wake of the technical disruption.

"My luas ticket was rejected to be used on the Dublin bus, awful system that you have, and I want my money back, wrote one member of the public.

"Are you making announcements at the other stops? I had to tell someone who was visually impaired! No announcements and unable to see sign," highlighted another.

The Green Line service is operating normally.

Drake was the big winner at the 2017 Billboard Music awards in Las Vegas last night.

The Canadian star took home an incredible 13 trophies, setting a new record for the most awards claimed by one artist. The record was previously held by Adele who went home with 12 prizes in 2012.

The rapper walked away with a host of coveted titles including, Best Artist, Best Male Artist and Best Rapper.

The top artist award was presented to the One Dance singer by Prince Michael Jackson, the son of the late singer.

Upon accepting the award, Drake tipped his hat to Adele saying, "I just want to say hold tight Adele because when a new thing drops you will crawl your way back to get the record back."

Other highlights of the night included a live performance from Cher who took to the stage in a diamond clad ensemble for an energetic rendition of hit singles Believe and If I Could Turn Back Time.

Another throwback moment saw Celine Dion give a powerful performance of her classic hit My Heart Will Go On which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. (Yes, that also means it’s been 20 years since Jack and Rose broke our hearts, and we’re still not over it.)

There’s was a moment of silence for Audioslave and Soundgarden singer Chris Cornell, who sadly passed away last week at the age of 52.

Miley Cyrus, John Legend, The Chainsmokers and Lorde also performed on the night.

Okay, so it's been teasing us for weeks, but it looks like summer could finally be here.

After an underwhelming week of overcast skies and showers you'll be happy to know that the good weather is set to return with Met Éireann promising ''drier, brighter, fresher weather'' in the coming days.

Monday will see some scattered showers, moderate southwest winds and evening temperatures of 15 to 20 degrees.

Cloud will remain until Tuesday morning before clearing in the afternoon, making way for sunny spells and highs of 20 degrees.

The warm weather is expected to remain from Wednesday to Friday, with most areas enjoying sunny conditions.

It's looking like Wednesday will be the best day of the week as temperatures set to reach up to 23 degrees.

Hello summer!

This weekend, Beyoncé and her famous squad, consisting of her ex band mates and family, got all dressed-up for a festive baby shower, which was named the "Carter Push Party."

Some of the well-known faces that attended the baby shower celebrations were Queen Bey's best friend Kelly Rowland, her sister Solange, Destiny's Child member Michelle Williams, and Serena Williams, who is also currently expecting.

The Love on Top singer's mum, Tina Lawson, shared a video from inside the party on her Instagram account, showing all the guests shouting: "Happy Carter Push Party!"

The famous guests can all be seen sitting around a table covered with flowers, while a huge buffet (drool) is visible behind them.

"All these beautiful ladies at the Carter Push Party!" she captioned it.

According to People magazine, Bey was proudly baring her bump at the party after being covered in henna tattoos.

A source also told E!: "The party was very family friendly with Blue Ivy and lots of her friends running around the grounds of the estate.

"There was a huge tent erected on the property where most of the shower took place. The decor was African themed and very colourful with lounge seating areas, floor pillows and rugs on the floor.

"The tables had lanterns, wooden elephants and pink and white roses for centrepieces. There was also a henna tattoo artist and African dancers and drummers walking around. A huge soul food buffet was served for a late lunch."

Queen Bey, who is already mum to gorgeous five-year-old daughter Blue, is expected to give birth any day now.

You can't beat a good cuppa tea.

Whether you bring tea bags away on holiday with you (guilty), or just love a good catch-up over a cuppa in the office, there's nothing better than sitting back with that toasty cup in your hand.

Now, we know we're a nation obsessed with tea, so supermarket chain Tesco decided to conduct a survey to find out which province in Ireland likes it the most.

Black Ceramic Cup With Smoke Above

*Drumroll*

Well, Connaught took the top spot, with 82 per cent of residents stating they are obsessed, and to further that, one-third of these said that they drink more than five cups everyday.

In second place is Ulster, with 78 per cent pledging their allegiance to the beverage, while Munster came in third with 73 per cent.

Leinster (excluding Dublin) also came in at 73 per cent, and we were pretty disappointed to hear that Dublin came last, with only 65 per cent of us admitting to loving a good cuppa.

Well, there you have it. Now, all this talk about tea has made us thirsty…

Do you remember these guys? The Potter Puppet Pals?

Did you and all your mates play the below video while sitting on the local green during summer? And did you all song along and take on the various parts of the puppets?

Of course you did… and now the Potter Puppet Pals are making a comeback.

Hell, yaaaas.

The puppeteering group have announced that they are coming back together for their tenth anniversary, and travelling all the way to Dublin, no less.

As part of LeakyCon this August, the lads will celebrate their anniversary by performing their first ever gig outside of the US.

LeakyCon takes place from August 31 to September 3 and this has just made it ten times more exciting.

We were pretty shocked to the iconic LGBT bar The George vandalised this weekend.

And now, man in his 20s has been arrested for defacing the bar with homophobic slurs.

As well as the homophobic slurs, Nazi symbols were also written in chalk on the walls of The George yesterday morning.

Gardaí picked up a man over the graffiti earlier today.

He's being held at Pearse Street Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.

According to the No Hate Speech Ireland group, the incident could be treated 'as homophobic in it's intent' under the Incitement to Hatred Act 1989.

ABBA was constantly played in my household growing up, and now ten years after the first Mamma Mia! film hit the big screen, it's looking like a sequel is in the works.

Yes, a whole decade has passed since Meryl Streep, Pierce Brosnan, Amanda Seyfried and Colin Firth donned their 70's glad rags, and we couldn't be more delighted with talks of a second movie.

Universal will be releasing the follow up, which is going to be called Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again!

It has been reported that Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaues are currently writing new material for it, with all of the cast keen to take on their previous roles.

To be fair, it was a good one.

This weekend's Sunday Brunch saw stars such as Gossip Girl's Ed Westwick, X Factor star Louisa Johnson, and of course, our very own Shane Lynch of Boyzone fame join the show.

Shane was on the cooking programme to promote his new National Geographic TV series, Supercar Megabuild.

However, when he sat down on the couch with hosts Simon Rimmer and Tim Lovejoy, fans noticed something very "odd" about him.

He was speaking with an American accent.

The 40-year-old left viewers completely baffled, and many took to Twitter to express their confusion:

Did you catch him on the show? What's your opinion on the accent?

Buckfast has been with us for decades, and many of us probably have a (foggy) memory about drinking the tonic wine on a college night out.

It's not the tastiest of alcoholic drinks, but alas, we go back to it time and time again.

And don't even get us started on our love for doughnuts.

Well, some absolute genius has combined the two treats to create a Buckfast doughnut and we are ALL over it.

Coming to you from Doughzy Doughnuts in Belfast, the little beauties are said to be super boozy – and we can't think of anything better.

Check out its Facebook page to see when you can get your hands on these alcoholic delights.

If the rumours are true, we couldn't think of a better person to play Jasmine in the new Aladdin remake.

Despite having little acting experience, Jade Thirlwall of Little Mix fame is apparently in talks to take on the role of the princess.

According to The Sun, Jade is in the line up of possible people to play the character, and as she is of Yemini and Egyptian descent, her fans believe she would qualify ethically to play the Arab beauty.

A source told the publication: "Jasmine is Jade’s perfect role, so she’s delighted to have got this far in the process.

"The talks have been going on for some time now," the insider said.

“And the longer they go on, the better her chances are looking. All of the girls have their fingers crossed for her, as they always support each other."

Since April, there has been an open call for actors between the ages of 18-25 for the roles of both Aladdin and Jasmine.

Shooting for the film begins this summer and will last up to six months, which would mean a big commitment for Jade.

Ireland mainly sticks to core subjects, even in transition year when students have the freedom to test various modules.

But something that has never popped up before is fishing on the curriculum.

Yep, transition year students from CBS James Street in Dublin are taking part in a new joint initiative by Inland Fisheries Ireland and eir which involves classroom lessons, fieldwork studies and practical exercises on fly fishing.

Gray Fishes on Yellow Crate

According to The Journal, it aims to teach students about fly fishing with the hopes of making it into to a lifelong hobby for them.

In recent weeks the students enjoyed class trips to Annamoe Trout Fishery in Wicklow and Courtlough Fishery in Balbriggan, where they practiced their rod skills and fished for rainbow trout using the methods that they have been taught in class.

Suzanne Campion, Head of Business Development with Inland Fisheries said: “We hope that the lessons learnt on important issues such as conservation and environmental protection will stay with students through life and that ultimately they will become custodians of our rivers and lakes.

"We also endeavour to get them hooked on fishing for life so it was fantastic to see a huge amount of skill evident in this group.”

Would you have fancied taking on this subject when you were in school?
