Let’s face it, we all know deep down that the scales are not the be all and end all when it comes to measuring our health, but it can be easy to ignore that fact when the numbers start to creep past that ‘ideal’.

In a post which has racked up almost a quarter of a million likes since its upload, P!nk took to Instagram on Saturday to give us all a reminder that those ‘regular standards’ don’t always apply to everyone.

The singer gave birth to her second child last December, but it seems she wasted no time in getting her body back in shape, and yet admits that her progress would fall short of societal ideals.

Posing in her workout gear, the Leave Me Alone singer encouraged her 1.4 million followers to focus on feeling fit and healthy rather than trying to look a certain way.

Sharing the snap, she wrote, “Would you believe I’m 160 pounds and 5’3”? By ‘regular standards’ that makes me obese"

"I know I’m not at my goal or anywhere near it after Baby 2 but dammit I don’t feel obese. The only thing I’m feeling is myself."

Issuing a word of warning to her legions of followers, she added: "Stay off that scale ladies!”

Like, the women behind Any Body, P!nk’s message about body confidence is definitely one we could all take on board.

Listen, when it comes to skincare, we all have the best of intention, but in practice we have a tendency to be kind of lazy.

We've all used makeup wipes (or even baby wipes) to clean our faces before falling into bed from exhaustion – but we should really be more aware of our skin's health.

That is why we are SO excited to introduce you to the Cleanse Off Mitt – created by Jennifer Rock, The Skin Nerd.

What is this mitt, you ask?

Well, you can say goodbye to face wipes forever, because this is a reusable microfibre mitt is your new best friend.

The mitt is one of this year's must-haves (seriously, it sells out constantly), and is perfect for all ages, all skin types and both genders – so really, what's not to love?

This innovative Irish product is designed to remove makeup and oil from the skin, while also being gentle and respectful to the skin.

Wipes tend to contain harsh chemical that can often irritate and agitate the skin – but this mitt is chemical and preservative free.

The best part of this amazing product is the fact that you don't need any cleanser or soap, you simply wet the mitt and remove your makeup – even mascara and stubborn eyeliner.

As if that wasn't enough, the Cleanse Off Mitt is machine washable, and lasts up to six month depending on the amount of use.

It is ideal for busy mums who are always on the go – for quick and easy makeup removal at all times.

The Cleanse Off Mitt is available in pharmacies nationwide, for just €5.95!

We're obsessed with it!

It's safe to say everyone can get a little bit scared when it comes to job interviews.

They're daunting and unpredictable, and make us all super nervous.

But when it comes down to it, how many of us actually pluck up the courage to ask the interviewer questions at the end?

Young woman thinking with pen while working / studying at her desk

Sure, you might have a few prepared, but most of the time, those either get forgotten about, or you're shoved out the door to make way for the next candidate.

So, if you want some extra information about the company, or want to find out more about room for growth and development, here are a few questions to fire their way at the end of your interview:

What is the company culture?

Victorimedia says that this is, "an oldie, but a goodie." Company culture means what the company does for fun and what the work life environment is like.

By asking this question you'll find out what it's like to work in their business, and what the attitudes of your future colleagues will be like.

Having a good place to work in and having supportive people behind you is a major plus in any job.

advice, advise, advisor

What is the performance review process like?

As Enterprisealive.ie writes, you don't want this question to be picked up the wrong way, however, it's a very important question to ask.

It will benefit you to know if you're going to grow within the business, if there will be any promotions available in the future and if you'll get any rewards for a job well done.

If they don't have an answer or look nervous – this could be a red flag that there's not a lot of movement or raise potential.

class, diary, exam

Is there anything about my application that gives you doubt? If so, I'd love to discuss those concerns.

This question is certainly not for the faint-hearted, but it's a great conclusion to any interview.

That kind of vulnerability isn't easy, but many employers will be impressed by your confidence to ask it.

If your interviewer replies with some critique, this will give you the chance to explain yourself and set the record straight.

Rockabilly songstress, Imelda May, isn’t holding any grudges following her split from ex-husband Darrel Higham, and is instead encouraging fans to listen to his new album.

The pair, who were married for 13 years, announced that they were calling it quits back in 2015, and Imelda has been keeping a relatively low profile ever since, but recently decided to give a shout-out to her ex.

Darrel, who is also a musician, released his new album last month and Imelda has no problem directing fans to his music.

She told The Irish Daily Mail's You magazine that she does not want her story to be one-sided, so advised fans to check out his music if they wanted his take on their split.

"Darrel has written his own album so if you want to hear his side of things you can go and listen to the songs on his album," she remarked.

Imelda, who recently switched up her signature hair-do, is back with her first release since 2014, and has said that the new album Life. Love. Flesh. Blood does not focus on her recent break-up.

She told The Mail Online:"People just presume that it's a break-up album because I broke up with my husband."

"But I met someone, so it’s about falling in love after a big split, being scared and feeling lust again,"

It can be difficult to keep the peace after a split, but we think Imelda is doing a pretty good job!

If there’s one thing we love more than an actual packet of Tayto, it’s a trip to Tayto Park.

Under the guise of doting older relative, we've treated multiple family members to days at the park over the years, and we don't intend to stop any time soon.

And thankfully, we won't have to as the nation’s favourite theme park will be throwing its doors wide open again at the end of this week.

Getting bigger and better with every passing season, the folk behind the Ashbourne attraction have pulled an absolute blinder this season.

In addition to a host of events which will delight younger members of the family, the park offers rock climbing and sky walking which will obviously pique the interest of adrenaline junkies all over Ireland.

But if rides aren’t your thing, why not check out the park’s zoo which boasts a variety of animals, including big-cats, meerkats, monkeys, fossa and birds of prey?

Ladies, it looks like we have April sorted.

Irish water has been a hot topic in Irish society for some time now.

And a new deal between the government and the Irish Water Committee will reportedly see more than 300,000 new water meters being installed throughout Ireland.

According to the Irish Sun, Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael are expected to sign off on the deal next week.

The new plans will see meters being installed into apartments across the country.

An insider told the publication: "There will only be bulk metering of apartments, that will generate 300,000 extra meters.

"If that occurs, Ireland will have more meters per head of population than the UK.

"If that doesn't keep Europe happy we don't know what will."

The Fianna Fáil spokesman on Housing, Planning and Local Government, Barry Cowen, recently said of the water issues:  "The bottom line is that the current water charging regime is defunct."

We'll have to wait and see how this plays out.

There are few things more harrowing than the morning after the night before when work looms large on the horizon and you genuinely don't know if you're capable of human interaction such is the extent of your hangover.

With a dry mouth, a pounding head and a healthy dose of The Fear, you attempt to go about your daily routine, and – we'll be honest here –  you fail miserably.

While cleaning your teeth and brushing your hair wouldn't reduce you to tears on a standard morning, it's enough to leave you a trembling mess after one too many gins and the discovery of a rogue chicken nugget in your bed.

Hats off to Jen Hatton who perfectly illustrated what it's like to start your day the hungover way.

Trump supporters on Twitter are not happy with Tina Fey’s latest comments condemning young white females who voted for the President.

During a star studded live-streamed telethon fundraiser for the American Liberties Union on Saturday the actress and comedian hit out at the demographic.

Making reference to a home improvement channel in the States, she said: ‘’A lot of this election was turned by white, college-educated women who now would like to forget about this election and go back to watching HGTV.’’

According to The Independent, preliminary exit polls conducted by Edison Research, showed that Donald Trump won 45 per cent of white college-educated women’s votes while Hillary Clinton won 51 per cent.

However, when you take into account all white female voters, both with and without a college degree, Trump came out on top with 53 per cent versus Clinton’s 43 per cent.

Fey went on to urge those young female Trump voters to look at the bigger picture, saying ‘’It doesn’t affect you this minute, but it’s going to affect you eventually.”

Viewers took to Twitter to express their outrage at Tina’s comments with many saying that the star’s comments were harsh and unfair.

Tina Fey isn’t the only celebrity to criticise white female Republican voters recently.

Girls creator and leading actress, Lena Dunham wrote an essay just days after the election results in which she described her disappointment at the large proportion of white women who chose not to vote for Clinton.

“It’s painful to know that white women, so unable to see the unity of female identity, so unable to look past their violent privilege, and so inoculated with hate for themselves, showed up to the polls for him.”

It's turning out to be a great year for music fans, and now one more performer is setting his sights on Ireland.

George Ezra has announced that he's taking his tour over to our lovely green isle.

George will play in Belfast on May 26 and in Derry on May 27.

He'll then make his way to Dublin's Olympia on May 29, and carry on to Limerick, where he will play in the Milk Market on May 30.

The singer recently spoke about his hiatus from being in the public eye on Twitter.

He said: "There is no need for me to point out the fact that I’ve been fairly quiet over the last year.

“But I’d like to reassure you all that I’ve been beavering away at what will one day be my second record.

"It took a second to work out what it was that I wanted to write about, and then how to approach the writing and recording process."

We're looking forward to seeing him live!

We'll admit that this is a random one, but people on Twitter are totally freaking out about this new couple!

It looks like former Glee star, Naya Rivera, and David Spade are an item.

The Rules of Engagement actor sent fans into a craze when he was spotted in a lavish Hawaiian hotel with Naya.

Half of us feel like it may be an April Fool's joke or for a new flick, but they actually just finished filming a movie together.

An insider told Entertainment Tonight: "They kept to one side of the pool where there was the most covering from prying eyes. Outside of the pool, they sat on lounge chairs and talked.

"They spent about an hour poolside together… They were very happy. They looked pretty comfortable together."

And of course, Twitter lost its sh*t:
