Scarlett Johansson recently made movie history by becoming the highest grossing actress of all time, but it looks like the Lost in Translation star wasn't as overjoyed as people might have expected.

While both the viewing public and many in the movie industry celebrated Scarlett's inclusion in the top ten highest grossing actors and actresses of all time, the 31-year-old star focussed her attention on the fact she was the ONLY female in the top ten.

With stars like Harrison Ford, Samuel L. Jackson and Morgan Freeman beating Scarlett to a higher place on the list, the actress felt dismayed that she wasn't surrounded by more female stars in the top ten.

"It's kind of disappointing actually to be the only woman in this category," she said while attending the Gene Siskel Film Centre's annual gala in Chicago.

Instead of celebrating her position in the chart compiled by Box Office Mojo, Scarlett lamented the lack of female presence, saying "That was a little bit of a surprise to me."

Previously commenting on the impact she has made on the movie industry, the Jungle Book star said: "I am very fortunate. I make a really good living, and I'm proud to be an actress who's making as much as many of my male peers at this stage."

Scarlett has reportedly pulled in a whopping €3.3 billion in the box office over the course of her career.

When it comes to the weather, us Irish can take almost anything thrown at us, but Lawd, we really need a break from the humid shower-fest we're currently dealing with.

Unfortunately, it doesn't look like we're going to get respite any time soon if the good folk over at Met Éireann are to be believed, and they are.

According to the weekend's forecast, we're in for even more scattered showers coupled with humid conditions – everything we could want after a Saturday spent in the hairdressers,

Southern and Western areas of the country can expect heavy and thundery rainfall tonight which will continue into Saturday, and may be interspersed with welcome sunny spells.

Sunday will bring us more scattered showers while the humid conditions may make way for light breezes.

While temperatures are set to reach 22 degrees in some areas of the country, we are also advised to expect spot flooding in some places.

Oh, marvellous!

In 2016, gender has gone way beyond 'female' and 'male'. It only makes sense then, that fashion – possibly our most creative form of social commentary – has evolved to reflect that.

These are the days of the 'MIRT' (man skirt), when Hollywood's leading ladies are gracing the red carpet in tuxedos, and guys can do a better contouring job than Kylie Jenner.

The face of fashion is changing, and while we Regular Joes will always be a tad nervous to step outside of our comfort zones, we are – thankfully – getting to a stage where fewer damns are given.

Love is love. People are people. And do you know what? Clothes are clothes. Once it floats your boat, it doesn't really matter what department it's from or what it says on the label, right?

To prove this, I decided to wear one item of 'men's clothing' into the office everyday for a week – to shake things up, to gauge reaction and, most importantly, to prove that labels don't matter. Here's how I got on.

Day 1

I happened to be browsing in the menswear department of a sports shop one day when I came across this amazing range of basketball jerseys, and had to get my hands on this Boston Celtics one. I thought it was really cool and figured I could have some fun styling it into an athleisure look.

If they had had a ladies' version downstairs, I most likely would have picked out my size and bought it. But do you know what? They didn't stock these super-cool jerseys beside the floral-and-pink ladies' workout gear. Read into that what you will!

Day 2

This shirt was a recent purchase from the menswear department in Penneys, and boy, did it go down a treat in the office. It fooled EVERYONE – probably because I opted to tuck it into a feminine pleated skirt rather than throw it loose over a vest and skinny jeans.

The girls fell really hard for this 'blouse' and demanded to know where I bought it. Can you imagine their surprise when I said those golden words, "Penneys, €10 – menswear"?

Day 3

I was feeling patriotic after the Ireland v Italy match, so I decided there was no better time to pull out my Notre Dame Fightin' Irish T-shirt – an absolute steal from the menswear sale at a sports shop.

I'm aware I'm teetering between sports luxe and referee chic (and let's not forget what Robin Thicke did for black-and-white pants), but I decided to embrace the quirkiness. This outfit could have gone either way in the office really, but teaming with a tuxedo blazer and slick pointed boots smartened it right up.

Day 4

While a colleague reckoned I could be a ringer for Richie Kavanagh in it, I love this blazer! It's quite literally a granddad blazer, bought in a vintage shop in London – tailored for a man.

I tend to wear it as an overcoat, over a black dress or dark jeans in winter, but I reckoned it could contrast really nicely with what I have dubbed my 'space cadet shoes'. This is a real marmite one – you'll either hate it or love it.

Day 5

For my final outfit, I decided to focus on the transforming power of the accessory. If Gucci's creative director, Alessandro Michele, is sending models down the runway in every form of tie imaginable, I'm going to work in a man's Batman dickie-bow. It livened up an otherwise neutral outfit and, as you can guess, it kept us entertained!

So, there you have it!

So, to sum up:

  • Do I like all of these items? Why, yes, I love them.
  • Did people realise they were actually ‘menswear’ pieces? For the most part, no.
  • Once they knew they were menswear pieces, did they look at the outfits any differently? Not at all.
  • Do I think we should ditch labels and just wear what we want? Absolutely.

Ferne McCann looked a little worse for wear today after staying up to party all night with Kylie Jenner.

The reality star was set to present a segment on This Morning, but when she turned up, it was clear she was out on the town all night.

And presenter Rylan Clark didn't shy away from it, pointing out that she didn't look like her usual glamorous self.

"My favourite thing about this entire chat is that, Ferne you look lovely but you can tell you have been up all night," he said.

"Can I just say, you ain't even got cue cards! Babe, are you holding a load of receipts?!"

Then Ferne confessed that she'd just come straight from a party thrown by the youngest Jenner sibling, Kylie – which we'd day was very interesting.

"I can confirm and give you some exclusive news that them two, I think, are pretty much back together. He was there, he didn't want any photos.

"Them two were canoodling, they were literally sat right there on the table next to me," she added.

Our favourite Aussie actress, Margot Robbie, has confessed to being a super-fan of our very own Hozier.

The Wolf of Wall Street star spoke to RTÉ TEN recently, where she explained how excited she was at the news of Hozier's involvement in the Tarzan project.

Hozier signed on to write the theme song for Margot's latest movie The Legend of Tarzan, and she has referred to the Greystones man as "the nicest guy in the whole world".

"When I heard Hozier was doing the song for this I could have died. I am a massive fan of him," the actress said.

“Funnily enough, it was when we were shooting Tarzan in 2014 that I was absolutely obsessed with his album for the first time."

Margot's Tarzan co-star, and total HUNK, Alexander Skarsgard, said that she used to play Hozier's album on set during filming.

How cute is that?

The Legend of Tarzan is in cinemas now, and it is ABSOLUTELY brilliant!

Aaaaalll youuuu sucka MC's ain't got nothin' on Kevin G.

Rajiv Surendra stole the show back in 2004 with his hilarious portrayal of mathlete and aspiring rapper, Kevin Gnapoor (the G is silent), in the hit film Mean Girls.

Kevin G became widely known for his rapping abilities, taking to stage in the movie to spit some rhymes at the high school talent show.

Come on…we all remember the words.

Much to our surprise, Rajiv did not pursue a career in hip-hop, and he hasn't acted since 2005!

The 27-year-old has been pursuing a career in art and calligraphy, and being a total BABE.

Yes, the former math nerd is now a heartthrob, and we have the pictures to prove it!

If you're an eFlow motorist who is used to flying through tolls – no muss, no fuss, – it looks like you're going to have to start re-stocking the ol' spare change tray in the car.

According to reports, up to 80,000 eFlow motorists using certain roads from August 31 will have to resort to the traditional 'stop and pay' method.

Members of the public using the M1 near Drogheda, the M7/M8 south of Postlaoise and the N25 at Waterford will no longer have their tags recognised as a result of a dispute between eFlow and Celtic Roads Group.

While both companies have confirmed that they hope to resolve the issue as quickly as possible, motorists have been advised to register with a new tag provider before the end of August.

You can find a list of tag companies right here.

She might be one of the biggest stars in the TV and movie industry right now, but that doesn't mean everyone is always a fan of Amy Schumer.

Taking the opportunity to throw a little shade at the Trainwreck star recently, world-famous model, Ashley Graham, suggested Amy was playing it fast and loose with her perspective on plus-size women.

Reflecting on Amy's apparent irritation that she had been grouped alongside Ashley and Melissa McCarthy in a feature for Glamour magazine, Ashley questioned the star's supposed hypocrisy on the matter.

Commenting at the time, Amy said: "Glamour put me in their plus size only issue without asking or letting me know and it doesn't feel right to me. Young girls seeing my body type thinking that is plus size?"

"I can see both sides, but Amy talks about being a big girl in the industry," Ashley said during a recent interview with Cosmopolitan.

"You thrive on being a big girl, but when you’re grouped in with us, you’re not happy about it? Ashley asked. "That, to me, felt like a double standard."

But if people were hoping Ashley's comments might lead to an online spat between the two women, they were left sorely disappointed.

Responding to Ashley's remarks on Twitter, Amy wrote: "I totally understand Ashley's feelings. I don't group myself in with her because she is unbelievably beautiful. Nothing but respect for her."

Equally gushing, Ashley replied: "I have the greatest respect for @amyschumer! So glad to be able to exchange thoughts, ideas & opinions w/ another incredible female force."

"Rock on girl. I'm so grateful for you," Amy replied "You inspire me!"

And that, ladies, is how it's done.

Niall Horan and Laura Whitmore were out celebrating their mate's birthday last night, and they certainly showed off their killer dance moves.

The pair are both part of LIC (the London Irish Crew), and while attending Jack Whitehall's birthday in London, they both sent their fans into a tizzy.

The video was originally posted on Laura's Snapchat, but of course, a few 1D fans posted the clip onto Instagram and Twitter.

Now, some people were NOT impressed by the pair having a boogie together:

But, a few others absolutely loved it and started talking about what their relationship name should be:

To be fair, it looks like they're having gas craic altogether.
