Jessie Wallace and Shane Richie are busying filming their Eastenders spin-off show, Red Water, here in Ireland, but that doesn't mean they couldn't take some time off to visit the President of Ireland.

The actors grabbed lunch the in Áras an Uachtarin (fancy), and then decided to take pictures and selfies President D Higgins and actress Fionnuala Flanagan.

Shane took to Tiwtter to share the cheery day, captioning his pictures: “Absolute honour to meet and have lunch with president of Ireland today @PresidentIRL & Fionulla Flanagan #Redwater.”

Singer-songwriter Adele is well known for her emotional performances, but her concert in Belgium last night was particularly poignant as she struggled to fight back tears while speaking about yesterday's mass shooting in Orlando.

The Hello singer dedicated her entire performance to those killed when lone gunman Omar Mateen opened fire in popular gay nightclub Pulse in the early hours of Sunday morning, killing 50 and wounding 53.

She said: “I would like to start tonight by dedicating this entire show to everybody in Orlando and at Pulse nightclub last night.”

“The LGBT community…they’re like my soulmates since I was really young,” she explained.

The Grammy-winner's voice wavered with emotion as she spoke and she eventually turned away from her audience and cried for a moment before composing herself and continuing her show.

Adele is one of a series of well-known faces – including Adam Lambert and JK Rowling – to voice their upset over the incident.

Last night’s Tony Awards ceremony was also devoted to those who lost loved ones in the attack, with host James Corden paying tribute to those who died in his opening speech.

Pippa O Connor's second son was born in May of this year and since then it has been nothing but bliss for the beauty blogger and her husband, Brian.

But now, in a heartwarming post, Pippa admitted exactly why she chose the name Louis for her second born son.

“We only had 1 boy name in our heads. Louis is French for ‘famous warrior’, I love it and I liked how well it went with Ollie,” she wrote on pippa.ie.

“The main reason we chose Louis was it’s the male version of ‘Louise’, after my Mum.”

Hooray for being 1 month old today .. There's a new blog post all about our first 4 weeks on #pippaie now

Aw, how lovely! Pippa also admitted that her first son, Ollie is adapting very well to his new baby brother.

“Ollie adores his little brother. That was probably my only worry before I had him – how would Ollie react.

“Thankfully he’s been amazing and has adapted very well. There was the odd moment of acting out looking for attention but nothing major," she said.

We're glad the family is doing so well.

There was an outpouring of grief late last month when news emerged that Harry, Dublin Zoo's resident male silverback gorilla, had died.

At the time of his passing his exact cause of death was unknown. However, a post-mortem has now been carried out and it appears that the great ape died from a stroke.

"The team at Dublin Zoo would like to thank everyone for their best wishes during the sad time since Harry, our silverback gorilla, died," a statement from the organisation read this evening.

"Harry showed signs of being unwell on Wednesday 25th May. Despite the best of care from our animal care and veterinary teams, Harry passed away on Sunday morning 29th May.

"The post mortem has shown that Harry suffered a stroke."

Harry was 29 years old at the time of his death and during his time in Ireland he fathered six offspring; two females and four males.

The statement added that the rest of the troop "are doing well and have been calm since his passing".

We’ve seen a lot of strange beauty trends over the last few years, but the new “polish mountain” challenge has to be one of the weirdest.

Bilingual blogger Cristine – who runs the site Simply Nailogical – posted a video to YouTube just over a week ago which has since been viewed over eight million times.

The video shows Cristine applying 116 layers of nail polish to her own nails in an attempt to go to “polish mountain” on behalf of her fans.

On her blog, the quirky Canadian describes the situation as follows: “So I went to polish mountain for you, now let me be your guide! You guys challenged me to put on as many coats of nail polish as I could, so I listened because I'm all for useful intelligent hack videos.”

“These are way more attractive than bubble nails if you ask me. It's like a jawbreaker for your nails. Honestly I got so hungry during the 12+ hours filming this that I might have tried to eat them."

Once the results had been revealed, the YouTube star – who has “two fluffy children that some people call cats” – then challenged her 1.4 million followers to “out-coat” her.

She asked her fans to pile on the polish before hashtagging POLISHMOUNTAIN to show her the results.

Judging by Cristine's original attempt, Polish Mountain is about to get weird – if anyone actually accepts the challenge, that is.

According to modern-day folklore, men who become involved with female members of the world-famous Kardashian family struggle considerably after being welcomed into the reality TV family, and it looks like Scott Disick definitely subscribes to that school of thought.

Having become convinced that he had fallen foul to the Kardashian Kurse, the father-of-three wanted to do everything in his power to escape the repercussions of a Kardashian romance and paid a visit to a psychic who decided that all Scott needed was to perform a ritual with a rooster in order to leave the jinx behind. (No, really)

"I feel like anybody that's dated any girls within her family has gotten some kind of curse," he explained in last night's episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians.

"I feel like some curse has been put upon me along with a lot of other men that I'm close with," he added "You know how everyone says there's that Kardashian curse to the men? It's kind of scary but it's kind of dope if it actually had truth to it."

Agreeing wholeheartedly with the lord, Kylie explained: "The Kardashian curse is every male figure that comes and dates a Kardashian, their life just goes downhill after that."

However, despite Kylie's support, Scott ultimately decided that it might be time for him to stop blaming other people for his life choices, admitting: "I may have got a little caught up with this whole curse thing and maybe taken it a little too far. Maybe there's not a curse."

Unsurprisingly, former girlfriend, Kourtney, was with him on that one, insisting: "You blame your actions on something else, on somebody else, it's never just because. You always have an excuse for everything."

Better luck next time, Scott.

Little Chanel Nicole recently hit six months of age, and her famous mum Coco had some seriously adorable snaps to share with fans to mark the milestone.

Taking to her Instagram account, the model said her "petite" daughter was still just 13lbs – adding lightheartedly "but thats ok she knows how to work the camera…"

Coco – real name Nicole Natalie Marrow – has been married to rapper Ice T for more than 14 years.

They welcomed Chanel on November 28, with Coco regularly taking to social media to share updates of their gorgeous family. Indeed, the baby already has her own Instagram account under the handle @babychanelnicole.

The mother-of-one went on to reveal that Chanel wasn't rolling over or sitting up 'on her own yet'. She added: "I still breastfeed but I also give her goats milk because that's the closest to thing to breast milk. I try food but she is not interested… Anything else?"

And it seems that oodles of fellow mums are coming out in support of the 37-year-old first-time parent.

"Just do it all in your daughters rhythm because each baby is different," said one. "I've a daughter of 8 months old and she started to eat after her 7th month and she checks every box when we go for her checkups.

"So just listen to your motherly instinct and do whatever you think is right."

Another mum chipped in with: "My son couldn't roll over at that age either. I was worried for awhile bc other babies his age could.

"Every baby hits their milestones at their own pace, it's completely normal. He finally got there, nothing wrong with him. I thought maybe he just didn't want to bc he hated being on his belly, so why try rolling over. He was also a very stuborn child!"

"Your baby is perfect. All babies hit their milestones at different times. It's all normal," a third fan offered. "I held my first baby 24/7, he took naps in my arms! Lol He took forever to roll/sit/walk."

The image has now notched up some 50,000 likes from Coco's 2million followers.

Made In Chelsea bad boy, Spencer Matthews, is known for his partying ways and dramatic love life, but it seems the star has turned over a new leaf recently as he’s dedicated himself to fitness and model girlfriend Morgane Robart.

The 26-year-old reality star – who lost a staggering 13lbs in just one week – showed off his super toned physique in a series of new photographs which are pretty much all biceps, pecks and abs.

But Spencer’s new body didn’t come easy as it has been revealed that the original MIC cast member has been enrolled in a gruelling Ibiza-based bootcamp which involves punishing 12-hour workouts ran by ex-Special Forces fitness gurus.

The bootcamp has previously been attended by Spencer’s MIC co-star Binky Felstead as well as Vanessa White from The Saturdays.

Spencer was famously kicked off I’m a Celebrity… after just three days in the jungle last November when it was discovered he was addicted to steroids.

In a recent shirtless Instagram post he described the situation as “moronic” and revealed that he’s finally back in shape.

He wrote: “After my moronic mistake in November last year I’ve been working hard to be clean and healthy and have never felt better.”

So now that Spencer's back in shape, will he come back to Made In Chelsea?

We'll have to wait and see, but in the meantime at least we have those pics.

Tens of thousands of Irish fans are currently in the French capital in advance of the team's opening Euro 2016 game.

And joining them this evening is none other than Mr Tayto himself.

The oversized potato-man furthermore made sure he was suitably decked out for the sporting event – which sees the Republic of Ireland squad take on Sweden.

Wearing a green, white, and orange curly wig he proudly sported a green jersey and scarf while getting to know some of in situ fans.

Closer to home, the same Mr Tayto can currently be found across Tayto Cheese & Onion 150g sharing bag and Tayto multipacks.

Nothing generates more enthusiasm at SHEmazing! HQ than when we jostle to share our favourite 90s memories with each other.

Discovering that one co-worker was a well-known Tip the Can cheater and another really wanted to look like Taylor from Hanson can leave a lasting impression, but that doesn’t stop us from sharing these deets on a daily basis.

When the street lights dictated your curfew and when the sound of an ice cream van ignited mass hysteria, we were flat out having the time of our lives.

Now, on the back of a major new study into all things Irish carried out by leading media agency OMD, we bring you seven things that will give any 90s kid the major feels.

1. Dancing inappropriately with no timing

Perfecting those high kicks with your mates while insisting that your loneliness was killing you was standard procedure for any 90s girl back in the day.

Whether it was an impromptu dance session or a scheduled rehearsal for the school talent show, someone would ALWAYS end up storming off in a huff.

“It’s slide, twist, shimmy damn it! You’re on your last warning.”

2. Killing your virtual pet

While most of us look fondly upon time spent with our Tamagotchis, we doubt our virtual pets would feel the same.

If we weren’t overfeeding them, we were forgetting to clean up after them – all of which guaranteed a less than happy life for those little guys.

3. Having an on / off relationship with your bike

Before we guarded our Leap cards with our lives or got our first ever driving lesson, our bikes were our principal mode of transport, and they pretty much consumed every moment of our young lives.

From being roared at for leaving them out in the rain one day to lovingly attaching coloured beads to their spokes the next, the relationship we had with our wheels was a complex, but necessary one.

4. Bob-a-jobbin’ like good things

Knowing you could make a little cash by sweeping your neighbour’s driveway or washing your dad’s car meant us 90s kids were an entrepreneurial group at the best of times.

20p would get us four woppas (two cola AND two mint obvs), and Bridie would have her windowsills washed –  everyone’s a winner, sure.

“Where’s your man keep his paint cans? Let’s surprise him.”

5. Rollerblading into the next dimension

When rollerblade mania descended upon Ireland in the mid 90s, no one was safe.

Having an elderly neighbour give you a push in the right direction before launching sideways into a wheelie bin was the name of the game, and lads we loved it.

“Go ask your dad if he’ll build us a ramp, but don’t say I asked.”

6. Becoming a gamer (when you actually got a go)

There was always ONE kid on the road with the latest games console meaning that the entire estate was forced to congregate in his garden until each person was actually given a chance on that slick beast.

Between promising a go on your bike to reminding him you once found his lost football, your need to get your hands on those damn controls trumped any sense of pride.

“Be reasonable here, Ciarán. Who let you copy their Irish homework last week?”

7. Feeling part of the gang

From games of manhunt that involved the entire neighbourhood to Christmas mornings spent checking in with everyone on the road, a strong sense of belonging is our abiding childhood memory here at SHEmazing! HQ, and we’re not alone.

According to the second Future of Ireland nationwide study (hat tip to researchers OMD and Ulster Bank) 49% of Irish people say friends and family remain at the heart of Irish society, so there’s no doubt that we’re keen to maintain the strong sense of community many of us enjoyed as kids.

Us Irish are all about linking in with each other, and with the vast majority of those surveyed regularly participating in community activities, it doesn’t sound like old-fashioned community spirit is going anywhere any time soon!

Thankfully, 48% of Irish people are optimistic about the future of their community and 49% expect to still be living in the same area in 2025, so as long as Ciarán quits hogging the damn console, the future looks bright for Irish neighbourhoods.

The second Future of Ireland nationwide study – #futureire – was published today by media agency OMD with the support of Ulster Bank.

Mere weeks after announcing they were expecting their fifth child together, TV chef Gordon Ramsey and his wife of 20 years, Tana, have been dealt a devastating blow.

Taking to Facebook this afternoon, 49-year-old Gordon thanked fans for their support in light of the pregnancy announcement before explaining that Tana had suffered a miscarriage over the weekend.

"Tana and I want to thank you so much for your support over the past couple of weeks," he wrote. "We had a devastating weekend as Tana has sadly miscarried our son at five months."

In the post which has been liked thousands of times since its upload in the last hour, Gordon continued: "We're together healing as a family, but we want to thank everyone again for all your amazing support and well wishes."

Taking a moment to pay tribute to the medical team who assisted his wife during this devastating time, Gordon finished by writing: "I’d especially like to send a big thank you to the amazing team at Portland Hospital for everything they’ve done."

Gordon's Facebook followers wasted no time offering words of support, with one writing: " I am so very sorry. We have lost a son at 36 weeks and there is no pain like it."

"Also thanks for speaking about it. This is one of those topics that makes people uncomfortable and nobody discusses much," she added.

Our thoughts are with Gordon, Tana and their four children today.

While she might have called a truce on her long-running feud with Kim Kardashian earlier this year, Amber Rose has shown that their new relationship won't stop her from saying what she really thinks about Kim and her famous family.

Speaking to the New York Daily News, Amber recently claimed the only reason the Kardashians are successful is because of Kim's 2007 sex tape with singer-songwriter Ray J.

While insisting she doesn’t hate Hollywood’s most recognisable family, Amber said: “Let’s face it. The only reason these girls have a career is because their older sister had a little fun on tape.”  Ouch!

As well as talking about Kardashians, Amber – who is set to star in her own reality show – also referenced her ex-boyfriend and Kim's current husband (aka the source of their rivalry) Kanye West in the interview.

Speaking on her stance against sl*t-shaming, the model said: "I deal with talk like that every day. I recently dealt with that when my ex (Kanye) said he had to take 30 showers after he’d been with me."

"We were happy when we were together and now I’m getting sl*t-shamed because we’re not anymore . . . and it’s unfair."

When you think about all of the "Hoe Shit" you've done

Amber and Kanye dated from 2008 to 2010 but their relationship did not end well, with Amber branding Kim a "homewrecker" at the time.

In a radio interview last year Kanye said: “If Kim had dated me when I first wanted to be with her, there wouldn’t be an Amber Rose.”

Kim has yet to respond to Amber's latest statement but we've a feeling the pair's peace pact may be well and truly over.
