Families come in ALL shapes and sizes these days, and so certain traditions have to change… but not disappear completely.

When Brittany Bachman prepared to walk down the aisle to marry her sweetheart Jeremy Peck, she might have been worried how family tensions would play out.

But Brittany's father was more than willing to roll with the changes, and made sure her stepfather was there to walk her down the aisle too.

"Grab tissues… because you will need it as you look through these pictures," wrote photographer Delia D. Blackburn on Facebook.

"Todd Bachman, father of the bride, brought his daughter to the beginning of the aisle…he stopped the procession while people were confused at his actions and he walked up to his daughter's stepfather.

"Todd reached out his hand and grabbed Brittany's stepfather and pulled him down the aisle to walk their daughter down the aisle together.

"NOT A DRY EYE at the ceremony..including me!"

Brittany was then able to walk down the aisle with her two father figures, marking a very special day for them all. What a lovely moment!

Tom Cruise has reportedly sold his huge Hollywood Hills compound for over €10 million. A sum that is certainly nothing to sniff at.

However, Tom was apparently looking for a far larger amount for the sprawling California mansion. Business Insider reports that the actor had set an asking price of almost €12 million. The selling price is also reportedly less than the actor paid for the main property back in 2005.

According to a report from Variety, there have been rumours that Tom used the 2.5 acre property as a retreat for high-level Scientologists.

As of late however, his sister is supposed to have been living there, we can imagine she was quite pleased because this place looks incredible. The estate is made up of two pieces of land with a  4,965 square-foot main house and a 1,742 square-foot guest house.

The 53-year old Mission Impossible star appears to be doing something of a property overhaul.

In November 2014 he listed his Colorado estate for €52 million, and back in 2013 he put his New York town house on the market, as well as an East Village apartment.

He currently lives in a Beverly Hills mansion he bought for €27 million in 2007, according to Variety.

Property website Zillo describes the compound as having “breath-taking views” along with an “Italian farm-style kitchen.”

YouTube stars Zoella Suggs and Alfie Deyes have now got some serious star power.

The duo have joined the ranks of A-Listers like Nicki Minaj, Angelina Jolie and Beyonce with the unveiling of their wax figures at Madame Tussauds.

The social media stars have even had their likenesses positioned in a bedroom scene, much like the one where Zoella records her video blogs.

Between them, the couple have almost 18 million subscribers. Zoella,25, also launched her beauty range Tutti Fruity earlier this year at Superdrug in the UK.

She has also released a book, Girl Online– which tells the story of a teenage blogger and what happens when her blog goes viral.

Madame Taussads has a specific YouTube section where the two figures appear.

Zoella and Alfie (known as Zalfie to their online fans) have even donated their own clothes to the models to keep up with the reality feel.

Madame Tussauds general manager Ben Sweet said: “We are delighted to be working with Alfie and Zoe. It’s a first for the attraction and reflects just how huge these YouTube stars are.”

Zoella took to social media, naturally, to share a snap of herself and Alfie alongside their wax figures.

Potter fans, you'll be delighted with this one!

The Harry Potter Warner Bros. Studio Tour in London is opening up its doors for its first ever Christmas-themed dinner.

Yep, excited yet?!

The event is due to take place on 3 December and is described as a "once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to feast in this iconic set."

Lucky diners will be greeted on arrival with drinks and canapés before making their way to the Hogwarts dining room which will be all dressed up for the special occasion – including original props like flaming Christmas pudding and ham studded with cherries which were used in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone.

The over-18s only event will certainly pull on a few heartstrings of those who grew up reading J.K. Rowling's books and watching the Harry Potter movies.

And you will receive a special little surprise as you sit down for dinner too; your own wand!

Now you can really fit in with past witches and wizards of the great hall!

After a two-course dinner (with ALL the trimmings), fans will be able to drink Butterbeer in the Backlot Café.

Diners will then be able to walk through Diagon Alley (which will be covered in snow!), sneak into the Gryffindor common room and the Weasley's kitchen at The Burrow.

And if that wasn't enough, the next stop is Platform 9 and 3/4 where you will be treated to a selection of desserts while you explore the original Hogwarts Express.

We have no doubt this will be the biggest party of the year, with the night set to end with music, dancing and a bar for those who want to purchase additional drinks.

Tickets are a bit steep though, coming in at €310, however it would make a pretty unforgettable Christmas present!

Here's a look at the festive menu:

Us twenty-somethings can find it hard to shift those extra stubborn pounds, but it turns out it's not all down to diet and exercise.

If you've ever looked back at old photos of your mum/aunt/granny at your age and marvelled at how slim they were, then the following will make some sense to you.

Scientists in Canada claim that people today simply weight more, even those taking in the same amount of calories as people would have 35 years ago.

Researchers at Toronto's York University studied the dietary and physical activity of American adults, and found that they were 10% heavier in 2008 than in 1971, and 5% heavier than in 1988… despite having the same food intake and level of physical activity.

But if our heavier frames aren't down to our lapsed gym membership or sneaky takeaway, what's the cause?

According to researcher Jennifer Kruk, factors like environment, lifestyle, pollutants, stress, genetics, product ingredients and even the time of day we eat all probably play a role.

tina fey animated GIF

"If you think about it from an evolutionary standpoint, you wouldn’t eat when it was dark out," she explained.

"So maybe we are genetically programmed to eat during the day and not during the night.

"The reasons why we are seeing this increase in body weight might be because we can now do things that we are not programmed to do."

Okay, so that Friday night pizza might not be the sole cause of your weight gain, but the fact that you ordered it online at 1am certainly didn't help.

Jennifer adds that there's also "strong research" to indicate that pesticides, fossil fuel burning and cigarette smoke could be linked to adult obesity today.

Well, there is some bad news for the man bun enthusiasts out there.

A university in the US has banned the hair style from their campus as they say it is in violation of their Honour Code. Birmingham Young University in Idaho has some strict policies designed to keep students in line.

A photo posted by Brock O'Hurn (@brockohurn) on

This means that for students their “dress and grooming standards are consistent with the teachings of Jesus Christ.”

The university’s code demands that all students keep their hairstyles “clean and neat”. They are instructed to avoid any extreme colours or styles. Men’s hair must also be trimmed above the collar to leave the ear uncovered.

Beards are a definite no-no.

THIS ABSOLUTE LIFE RUINER

Speaking to The Scroll, the campus newspaper, student services and activities VP Kevin Miyasaki said:

“As part of the dress and grooming code, we commit to avoid extreme hairstyles. A ‘man-bun’ would be considered not consistent with this standard.”

Any students who take the risk of donning a messy top knot or rock a sleek man bun face disciplinary action.

"It's just something that deviates from the norm," said Tyler Barton, of the BYU-Idaho Student Honor Administration, who added that they would consider the man-bun to be an “extreme” hairstyle.

Anita McPherson, who is a testing assistant at the BYU-Idaho Testing Centre, said that last semester, both male and female students who came into the testing centre wearing with a top knot were allowed to take their test. However they were reported to the Student Honour Office.

Kevin Miyasaki was reported as saying that “the Testing Center’s goal with every student who is not compliant with the Dress and Grooming Standards is to teach, clarify and promise them blessings for obedience.”

Today, the SHEmazing team went behind-the-scenes in Dundrum Town Centre to check out the amazing trends it's offering this season.

From high street stores to high end designers, there's something to suit everyone. With over 2,000 brands housed in the centre, no matter what budget, age group or style, they will have you covered!

Speaking at the event today, stylist Colm Corrigan said, "I'm really excited about the collections at Dundrum Town Centre this season, the AW15 catwalks have really come alive! Out four key trends touch on some of the most prominent and accessible trends for ladies and gents of all ages."

And we love the trends they showed us this afternoon! They are really stepping outside-of-the-box for the next season, but it all works fabulously and will be a great guide to stick to over the next few months:

Great Lengths

Hemlines are heading for the floor! From popular lengths sitting just under the knee, to mid calf length and full on ground grazing maxis, you'll see that the A-line style is key with long pencil skirts coming in close second.

Have fun pairing different length boots to really push this trend!

New Opulence

Fashion is feeling romantic this season with shimmering brocades, jacquards and layers of lace from most collections, so feeling regal this winter won't be difficult.

Mixing and matching textures is key with gold tones, hearty pinks and burnt orange hues being bang on trend.

Contrast

Instead of head to toe black this winter (which some of us can REALLY be guilty of), drape yourself in this seasons beat tones. To bring the mix of colours up a notch, pair pale pink with yellows and lilac tones with scarlet red.

Rich burgundy will be your best friend this season while keeping accessories on a similar palette.

New Tradition

Borrowing from the boys (woo) … and you granny, heritage gets a modern twist this season. Think quirky film director Wes Anderson (Grand Budapest Hotel) with a new fashion line!

Checks and tweeds are mixed with leather and PVC in fun, bold styles. Cue the rise of the modern geek!

Multiple sources have apparently revealed that the actress, 28, gave birth last month. They chose to keep the news a secret for a while as they settled into their new roles. Friends of the couple are reported as saying that the new parents have taken to their new roles with ease:

"Naya was born to be a mother and is doing really great so far," the source says. "And Ryan has amazing paternal instincts and has been waiting on them both hand and foot."

And on that note, getting to wear slippers at this shoot was the best!

Naya has kept her fans updated on her pregnancy on her personal website, blogging about her body's changes, and offering tips to other pregnant moms-to-be. The name of their little boy has yet to be revealed.

She married Ryan in July 2014 just three months after her engagement to rapper Big Sean was called off. At the time they raised a few eyebrows as they chose to marry on the date that Naya was supposed to marry Big Sean. There were also reports that Naya's friends and family had no idea she was getting married.

The pair then announced their baby news in April with a cute Instagram snap.

We were almost beginning to warm to Anne Hathaway after her fangirl moment with Mariah Carey last week, but this latest news has us back at square one.

As A-listers go, Anne's never come off as the most likeable, and she's definitely not one we'd dream of as our BFF (unlike Amy Schumer, Anna Kendrick, Kristen Wiig… the list goes on).

And the Les Miserables actress only served to drive that point home this week when she treated one Irish TV personality to some blatant rudeness.

Stay tuned for @aislingoloughlintv3's chat with Robert De Niro and @annehathaway! #theintern

Xposé's Aisling O'Loughlin interviewed Anne this week during her promotional tour for The Intern, and she revealed that Anne couldn't clean off fast enough after shaking hands.

"I'm dying with a cold at the moment and I interviewed Anne Hathaway and Robert DeNiro the other day," Aisling told the Irish Independent.

"As soon as I shook her hand, she turned to her assistant and said, 'Can I get some hand sanitiser please?' Right in front of me."

Awks or what?!

Robert DeNiro hasn't had the best press in terms of interviews lately either, after walking out on one journalist citing "negative interference."

But Aisling said he was a breeze to interview, despite her nerves.

"The junkets can be a bit of a grind and with every question I was trying to formulate in my head; I was worried I was going to piss him off," she said.

"But they were fine, I even got a picture with him which I'm very proud of."

There have been a lot of beauty trends attempting to give us both definition and dewy perfection over the years. Contouring, baking and strobing have all had their time in the limelight. However, contouring is not going away any time soon.

We reckon this is probably because when done correctly the results are flawless.

However, there have been moments (many moments) when people needed to put down the brushes and think about about their choices because it was just not working. Contouring is hard. Getting all the right shades in all the right places and blending until you have a sprained wrist can be a challenge.

Just ask some of these people:

Why are you contouring your collarbones?

You could easily work up an appetite:

Poor Corey Hanna  was humiliated on Irish TV last week, but she's finally getting a little bit of justice.

As part of TG4's new dating show as Gaeilge, Pioc do Ride, Corey was asked to choose one of three men (or triúr LADS) based only on their car.

In the end she went for Irish dancer Liam, but when given the choice, he opted for a €250 Advanced Pitstop voucher over a date with her. Ouch.

Corey has admitted her dating career has stalled since the show, but some well-meaning fans have pooled their resources to soften the blow a little.

A GoFundMe page was set up in the Derry lass's honour a few days ago with the aim of raising €250 as a sort of consolation prize.

"Anyone who saw Pioc Do Ride saw the cruelest twist in any dating show in history," the page's description reads.

"Corey, we want you to get your own €250 voucher. Justice must be done!"

And as of last night, Corey is indeed €250 richer:

Speaking to the UK Independent, the page's founder 'Duke O'Smiley' said it was all just a bit of fun… for a good cause.

"To be honest, myself and my mates just thought it was good craic and that she deserved a voucher of her own for being such a good sport," he explained.

"I've contacted Corey on Twitter and Ireland's a small place so I'll get her the cash."

There has been a huge number of beauty trends exploding all over the internet in recent months.

Whether it's strobing for your face, trying to keep your brows on fleek (without dyeing them rainbow colours) or even baking your face there has been something new to try every week.

As for haircare, first there was contouring and now something even MORE bizarre.

For anyone who missed the great tie-dyeing adventures of the Nineties, it basically required you to tie elastic bands around a t-shirt then dip the fabric in different colour dyes.

Hair colourist Rickey Zito is now applying the technique to hair.

Probably important to note that this hair is bleached beforehand, for optimal colour intensity. No one wants a dull tie-dye effect to be fair.

Rickey of course makes the process look very simple as he separates the hair into large sections. Then he uses cloth ribbons to separate the sections again and make sure the colours are separated.

The results are definitely different.

Rickey is obviously a huge fan of ALL hair colouring trends – his Instagram feed is full of rainbow coloured locks.

He calls himself ‘hair god’ for a reason.

We're kinda tempted to give this a go… but maybe we'll test it out on a t-shirt first.
