OK, so we all know that Tom Cruise is an amazing actor, right?

But what we might have forgotten, is that he is AMAZING when it comes to lip syncing.

A much younger Tom first showed off his lip syncing talents in the movie Risky Business when he mimed along with the song Old Time Rock 'N' Roll and his skills have gotten even better with age.

Now, in his latest instalment, he battles it out with Jimmy Fallon in one of the best rounds yet.

Tom, who is currently promoting the release of Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation, chose R&B song Can't Feel My Face by the Weekend as his first track and then followed with Meatloaf's Paradise By The Dashboard Light.

One lucky audience member was even serenaded by Tom and Jimmy as they sang You've Lost That Loving Feeling and knelt on the ground in front of her.

Mr Cruise even kissed her hand!

Amber Rose, who once had a long-term relationship with Kanye West, has taken to Instagram with a message for her "haters" (of which there seems to be a lot).

The model, who now brands herself as a feminist, recently took to Instagram to announce her intentions to publicly tackle the likes of gender inequality and sexual injustice.

However, in the aftermath she faced a significant backlash.

Some commentators claimed she's only famous for sleeping with rappers – an accusation which prompted Amber Rose to post a lengthly defence.

In it, she insisted that when it comes to rappers "I've been in love with 2 of them and 1 I married and have a beautiful baby with."

Amber was previously in a relationship with Kanye West from 2008 to 2010. She went on to marry Wiz Khalifa in 2013, but this has also since ended.

She also spent some time explaining that she is in fact a good person.

"I was once homeless not only did I help myself but I bless homeless ppl with crisp 100 dollar bills daily just because I can."

The 31-year-old has gotten herself in the middle of some controversy on more than one occasion, and it's no secret that there is some beef between her and the Kardashian/Jenner clan.

During an interview with Complex that was released this week, Khloe Kardashian addressed some of the comments the model made about her younger sister Kylie.

"I just feel like it was unnecessary for her to say anything, and I used her own quote back. It was from her talking about when she became a stripper so I’m like, 'How are you judging and saying Kylie should have a curfew?'"

"What I thought was crazy was she was telling my sister to act a certain way or have a curfew, but [she wasn’t] doing the same."

It's almost August, but try telling that to Mother Nature, who has blessed our little island with nothing but rain and wind for the last two weeks.

With the heady days of Leaving Cert weather now a distant memory, all we can do is hope that things pick up next month.

In the meantime, we've been lamenting just a few of the ways this manky weather can take its toll on a poor girl's sanity…

1. You keep misjudging the weather for the day… with disastrous consequences
"Oh, seems dry out, I'll leave the skylight open a while." *returns home to pillows floating on bed*

2. Wet hair. Enough said.
Forgot your umbrella when it starts lashing? You might as well give up on life right now.

3. Your barbecue is rusting from underuse
You could always improvise, like this brave lad…

4. You're running out of thick black tights to wear with all your new summer dresses
Bare legs? HA.

5. The shops keep taunting you with their "Holiday Wear" sections
"I'm going to Westport for the weekend, not Ibiza."

6. You have irrational guilt about having the central heating on in July
The Irish Mammy in you is RAGING

7. Coming back from your holidays to the lashing rain = Ultimate Fear
Why Ryanair, why do you make us run across the tarmac from the plane?

8. Your Facebook envy of friends abroad has reached toxic levels
"ENJOYING THE FRENCH RIVIERA ARE YOU?" *spits at screen*

It's not often that retail giants take the feedback of individual customers on board, so we were delighted to hear that Topshop had done just that this week.

Customer Laura Berry issued a complaint via Facebook after seeing a mannequin in her local branch of the clothing store that she felt was a "ridiculous" representation of a normal woman.

"[H]aving been paid yesterday, I decided to spoil myself by purchasing a new pair of my favourite Jamie jeans. However, I was stopped in my tracks by the mannequin in the picture I've shared with this post," she wrote on Topshop's official page earlier this week.

"I'd love to hear how you can justify the ridiculously tiny mannequin in your Bristol Cribbs Causeway store? We come in all shapes and sizes… this mannequin is quite frankly ridiculously shaped. Young women aspire to the somewhat cult image your store offers. Which I'm sure you're aware by your sales figures and hashtags on Instagram. Yet not one mannequin in your store showed anything bigger than a size 6," she added.

Clearly realising that the anger and frustration expressed by Laura was a sign of a bigger problem, Topshop responded within 24 hours to say they would no longer be using the offending mannequins in stores. A response posted as a comment to Laura's original post read, "We have taken yours and other customers’ opinions and feedback on board and going forward we are not placing any further orders on this style of mannequin."

In defence of the mannequin the store said the style was "based on a standard UK size 10" although "the overall height (187cm) is taller than the average girl and the form is stylised to have more impact in store."

Earlier this year a similar image went viral after a size 8/10 woman posed next to a "standard" Topshop mannequin and posted the results on Twitter:

Hopefully Topshop take this incident as motivation to start promoting a healthier body image in stores.

The future of farting has arrived, thanks to new clothing brand Shreddies. It involves a whole array of clothing that means you can fart in public without the embarrassment.

Shreddies have designed a range of underwear for men and women which they have named "flatulence filtering garments."

These items of clothing cover up any odour as the "garments feature an activated carbon lining that absorbs all flatulence odours, they become trapped and neutralised by the cloth which is then reactivated after washing." As for the sound of the fart, they haven't gotten that far quite yet.

The brand touts a pair of Shreddies as the "perfect gift," but we think our friends might be a tad insulted if that's what we handed them for their next birthday.

Shreddies have now expanded to include a range of "flatulence jeans" for men and women, if you don't trust the underwear alone.

The jeans cost €90 and promise to leave you smelling fresh as they give you "more freedom to enter social situations."

But that's not all. If you're worried about overnight odours, Shreddies has you covered in that department too. They have a new line of flatulence pyjamas which look really comfy while having the odour eliminating technology too.

Charming.

Think that's Colin Farrell in the picture above? Think again.

James Martin is a London-born entertainer and he is the absolute IMAGE of the Irish actor so much so that he regularly  impersonates him on a professional basis. He's been profiled as part of a new Channel 4 series, Lookalikes, and we reckon he could make a lifelong career out of standing in for Colin.

But while Colin is well known for being admired amongst the female population of Ireland, the opposite seems to be true for his non-biological twin.

The Londoner said the fact that he looks so similar to the actor has stopped women wanting to date him as they are a bit put off by it.

29-year-old James constantly gets asked for his autograph but he told the Irish Mirror that he's single and finds it a "struggle to get a nice girl".

His trouble with the ladies seems to come from Colin's bad boy persona, as women "assume I’m a typical hell-raising womaniser, and some are weird about how much I look like Colin," according to James.

The doppelganger said business as an impersonator has been slow for the past few years as Colin hasn't been landing any leading roles in Hollywood blockbusters.

Channel 4's new show follows Andy Harmer, the head of celebrity impersonation agency Lookalikes. Himself a David Beckham impersonator, Andy has around 270 lookalikes on his books.

Also starring on the show is this Ed Sheeran wannabe:

And this Gordon Ramsay lookalike who is extremely convincing:

Colin's identical twin still gets our vote though.

Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis are one Hollywood couple who value their privacy, and that of their young daughter Wyatt.

Considering the level of secrecy that surrounded the pair’s wedding earlier this month, it’s no surprise they want to try and keep their family’s public profile to a minimum.

Yesterday the duo issued proceedings to London’s High Court against the publisher for The Daily Mail’s website, Associated Newspapers.

According to The Hollywood Reporter the claim addresses the “wrongful publication of paparazzi photographs of family outings," alongside their use to "promote clothing products by the Mail."

In a statement, the couple’s lawyer Paul Tweed has said: "Ashton and Mila understandably value their private and family life, and in particular their personal time with their daughter.”

"Like any other family they should be allowed to enjoy family outings without being pursued by photographers. They have made it clear that they do not agree to the publication of photographs of such occasions."

This is not the first time The Daily Mail has faced some backlash from Hollywood stars.

This time last year they came under fire from George Clooney who said it was the “worst kind of tabloid.” This was following their printing of a story concerning his wife, Amal Alamuddin’s mother.

At the same time, Angeline Jolie had reportedly taken legal action against the paper after they published a video which they claimed showed the actress taking heroin.

It's been a year of losses for The X Factor, and now the show is set to say goodbye to yet another family member.

The iconic voice of the live shows will be no more, as voiceover artist Peter Dickson has revealed he won't be appearing on the upcoming series.

"After the best 11 years with the X Factor, it's time for me to check out and cut loose," he wrote on Twitter today," prompting shock and sadness from fans of the show.

"X Factor isn't going to be the same without you," wrote one follower. "But you're the best thing on it," wrote another.

Over the years Peter's voice has become as synonymous with the show as Simon Cowell's nasty comments and Cheryl's Geordie accent. From his iconic slogan, "It's time… to face… THE MUSIC" to his impeccable pronunciation of Rachel Adedeji's name, the show will be a different place without him.

Peter's shock departure follows months of dramatic changes to the show's lineup, which saw Dermot O'Leary leaving his post as presenter, Louis Walsh and Mel B ending their tenure as judges, and Sarah-Jane Crawford saying goodbye to The Xtra Factor.

With the first round auditions starting across the UK earlier this month, Olly Murs and Caroline Flack took up the reigns as co-hosts, while Rita Ora and Nick Grimshaw joined the judge's table alongside Cheryl and Simon.

This year's live shows are set to be very different indeed…

Have you heard of #ThighReading yet?

This summer alone there have been almost countless body-positive hashtags and trends floating about on social media. From clown contouring to the semicolon project people have been doing their best to spread the message about positive body image.

#ThighReading has found people of all ages and body types tweeting pictures of their thighs to celebrate their imperfections.

It started with Twitter user @princess_labia who first used the hashtag earlier this month. She spoke with Elite Daily about the trend and explained the meaning behind it.

“Looking at my thighs and feeling the grooves of my stretch marks… the thought that they looked like lifelines, like a palm reading, just came to me.”

She went on to say that while she frequently tweets about her body’s ‘imperfections’ she didn’t expect her followers to respond as much as they did.

“There are so many faces and body types and features that girls never get to see reflected back at them. Girls have tweeted back at me that they had no idea so many women have stretch marks, and that’s so sad, right?”

The actor, writer and student who is based in NYC said that she finds it distressing that something as “normal” as stretch marks are something “we’ve been taught to be ashamed of”.

Soon her 10,000 followers were getting behind the trend and it has been steadily gaining recognition across social media. She said that: When I think I spend too much energy focused on body positivity and self celebration, I remind myself that suicide is the number one killer of teenage girls worldwide.

She said that believes #ThighReading has helped both her and her followers gain a new perspective on body positivity.

Brian McFadden and Hozier definitely are not two names we ever thought we'd say in the same sentence, but we've been proven wrong.

Earlier today, former Westlife singer Brian shared a hilarious video on Instagram of him trying out his very best Hozier impression, and we have to admit it's not half bad.

We're not sure if the pair are friends or if they even know each other but we REALLY hope this gets a reaction from the Take Me To Church hitmaker.

Take me to church!

Brian's spirits certainly seem to be lifted just weeks after the announcement that he was splitting from his wife Vogue Williams after almost three years of marriage. The pair confirmed their break-up via Twitter earlier this month, saying they hoped to "remain friends."

Meanwhile, 25-year-old Andrew Hozier-Byrne is across the pond having just performed at the Newport Folk Festival near New York.

Had an amazing time at @newportfolkfest this past weekend. It was an absolute joy, thank you

Next stop, a Brian and Hozier duet? We can dream…

Earlier in New York this week Liam Neeson sparked serious concern from fans when he appeared to be almost unrecognisable.

The Taken actor has transformed and is now looking startlingly slim and sporting much longer grey hair.

Liam, 63, was seen on Saturday looking quite gaunt. In a cap and sunglasses he appeared to be attempting to go unnoticed as he went about his business in the SoHo area.

Wearing loose fitting clothing, his thinner frame seemed to be highlighted even more over the weekend.

It hasn’t been made clear whether the actor’s changed appearance is for a new project or not. He has just recently finished filming a Martin Scorsese film and is set to start work on another in September of this year.

Just a few weeks ago the star was meeting and greeting fans at The Ronald McDonald House where he seemed more like he usual self.

Speaking to The Mirror, a rep for Liam said that "he's never been healthier."

The actor who has become much-loved for his “particular set of skills” since the Taken franchise achieved great success but has said recently he will be retiring for action movies soon.

“Maybe two more years – if God spares me, and I’m healthy,” Liam said to The Guardian. "But after that, I'll stop [the action], I think."
