Like Barack Obama before him, Hollywood actor George Clooney has his ancestral home in a small Irish town.

George's roots apparently stem from the tiny village of Tullahought in Co. Kilkenny, and locals say they have even pinpointed the now-derelict house where George's great-great-grandfather was born. 'Tis a long way from Lake Como!

Now an Irish band are capitalising on George's recent comments that he plans to take a trip to the Emerald Isle to show his new wife Amal Alamuddin where his ancestors came from.

"‘I’m embarrassed that I’ve never properly been there before now. I’ve been talking about going there for years and Bono has been trying to get me to do a bike ride around Ireland with him," said George earlier this month. The actor added that he hopes to visit this summer.

Limerick group The Corrigan Brothers have penned a tune called When George Clooney and Amal Come Back Home to Tullahought, celebrating the amazing welcome George would be given if he did make it to the small Kilkenny town.

The video for the song will be filmed in Tullahought soon, with the single being released on February 28th.

The first copy, of course, will be couriered directly to George!

Even if you're more than qualified for a certain job, it's important to remember that your prospective employer will meet your CV before they even come close to meeting you.

A badly written CV could be the difference between you getting the chance to sell yourself in an interview and simply getting another rejection letter.

Make an incredible first impression by checking over your CV to ensure it doesn't fall foul of any of these common mistakes.

1. Spelling and grammar issues
Even in a job where writing skills are not key, it is SO important to have perfect spelling and grammar on your CV and cover letter. Typos and incorrect grammar show a lack of care and could send your CV straight to the bin. Check and double check everything before you send it, read your cover letter aloud to yourself to ensure the grammar sounds right, and if you have notoriously bad spelling ask a friend to vet everything on your behalf!

2.  No personal profile
A couple of lines at the beginning of your CV is a great way to grab the reader's attention and let them see that it's worth their while reading on. Launching into your education and experience details straight off the bat will just bore prospective employers and leave them skipping to the end.

3. Rambling
Being clear and concise is a great way to show that you are organised and have good attention to detail. Avoid long and rambling sentences, especially on your CV – don't use 50 words where you could use five.

4. Not tailoring your CV
Certain previous roles will be more relevant to particular jobs, so tailor your experience to suit the role you are applying for. If you are applying for a customer service role, try to focus on relevant elements of your duties and achievements in previous jobs – for example, that you worked in a busy café and had to be personable and help to manage customer problems on a daily basis. Small changes or alterations can ensure your CV is the one that stands out.

5. Leaving gaps in your experience
Even if you were off backpacking without a job for six months, or were on the dole while waiting for something new, it's best not to leave a large gap on your resumé. If you were volunteering, interning, blogging, taking night classes, babysitting or doing anything constructive with your time, mention it! Otherwise, prospective employers have every right to assume you just sat on your bum for eight months.

Ooh, it seems Solange is NOT impressed with fans of her superstar sister taking photos!

Beyoncé, Solange and Blue Ivy were photographed enjoying a day at the park recently, but Solange looked less than happy to be snapped, and her look of wrath has hit headlines.

Now, Solange has taken to Twitter to blast those who took the photos, saying: “This is why I live in #nola. Family park days much as I want w out the mom in leopard print stretch pant photo’n every pop lock & drop.”

Ouch, excuse us while we just fold away our leopard print leggings…

The singer also tweeted photos of incident, writing: “Man, we should’ve gone to da movies! I wanted those [cameras] to BURN.”

Yikes! Next time you spot Beyoncé and her sis, we would put the camera out of sight. Nobody will believe you, but it could be worth it…

Hazel Behan spoke on The Ryan Tubridy Show on 2FM yesterday where she recounted her rape experience, and now her story is making headlines worldwide.

The brave woman told Ryan how she was raped in Portugal back in 2004 when she was working at a resort as a rep. Telling the presenter how she had always felt a ‘presence’ in her small apartment where she lived alone, she was awoken one night by a man in a black mask calling her name.

What Hazel endured next was very hard for both for her to recall and for Ryan and listeners to hear. She was tied up and raped for four hours: “It feels so surreal, like I’m talking about something from Law and Order Special Victims Unit. I shut off. My thing was to figure him out, I’m going to get out of this, I won’t let him beat me.”

Her rapist was never found, with Hazel saying that the police didn’t take it as seriously as they should: “I think they wanted to protect the holiday industry, they didn’t want it to be known that this happened in a holiday resort.”

Hazel’s story has left a huge imprint on the Irish people, and now beyond that as people took to Twitter to applaud her bravery for bringing her story to the forefront: “I want to do this for other girls, I want to tell people not to give rape victims the pity eyes, it does happen, it’s not something that you just see in the movies, but at the same time people must be sensitive to what other have gone through.”

Love/Hate star Aoibheann McGinnity has sparked rumours of a romance with none other than Chris Moyles!

The pair were spotted in Dublin’s city centre yesterday evening, not long after Chris was seen attending Aoibheann’s most recent gig, Elf The Musical back in December.

Back in September, Aoibheann, who played Trish in the crime drama, said that she was single not long after being linked to The Coronas' Danny O'Reilly.

Chris is best known for his radio show on BBC Radio 1, The Chris Moyles Show which wrapped back in 2012. He was previously in an eight-year relationship with Sophie Waite before they split in 2010.

Could this be the beginning of something for Aoibheann and Chris? Time will tell!

It has been revealed that Emmerdale actress, Emma Atkins is eight months pregnant with her first child!

Emma, who plays Charity Macey on the popular soap decided to leave the show, a storyline which saw her character get a two-year prison sentence for insurance fraud.

According to a source for The Sun, the actress has been keeping the news very quiet indeed: “She’s been hiding her baby news from everyone outside of the show … Everyone assumed she [Charity] would get away with it like she has many times in the past. But the fact that Emma is pregnant gave the writers a perfect opportunity to finally punish Charity. She’s going to be rotting in jail for at least a year.”

Her co-stars have been wishing her luck in her departure, with Charley Webb taking to Twitter and writing a sweet message: "Finally – everyone knows Emma is leaving to have a baby. Can't wait to be an 'Aunty' again. Emmerdale will miss 'Charity' but she'll be back!"

This will be the first child for Emma and her partner, Tom.

Wow – we did NOT see that one coming! Congratulations to Emma on her her lovely baby news!

We all know the feeling – that clingy dress that looked HAWT in the shop all of a sudden makes you feel like a hippo when you put it on before heading out. You know you haven't gained any weight – so what's the problem?

Stomach bloating and gas are common issues for many Irish women. Not only do they make your stomach appear larger, but they can cause pain and discomfort too.

Luckily though, there are a few simple ways to reduce bloating – and even to avoid it altogether.

1. Cut back on sugar substitutes and high-salt foods
Artificial sweeteners like aspartame found in sweets, sugar-free soft drinks and other processed foods are not naturally digestible and can trigger bloating instantly. High-sodium foods such as canned soups, frozen dinners and bottled salad dressings are other triggers – they can be much higher in salt than you realise, causing water retention. Avoid these to keep that tummy flat.

2. Eat slowly
Inhaling a sandwich during a 5-minute dash back to the office is not going to aid your digestive system. When we chew and swallow fast, we inhale a lot of gas-producing air. Eat slowly, with your mouth closed (your mammy would be proud), and sip your drink rather than gulping it down or using a straw.

3. Get out and about
Going for a stroll after dinner, even just a brisk 10-minute one, can help gassy air pass through the digestive tract more quickly, stopping bloating before it has even begun. On days when you're feeling sluggish and out of sorts, one of the worst things you can do is to skip your workout – if you don't fancy that Abs Blast class, go for a cycle, a jog or a walk instead.

4. Keep breathing
Digestive problems are a natural response to anxiety and nervousness, as our stress hormones speed up every bodily process. Gas, diarrhoea and bloating are all more likely in times of high stress. Keep breathing and go for a walk to ease those nerves.

5. Manage your dairy intake
More than 10% of adults are believed to be lactose intolerant, so it's more likely than you might think. However even if you do have an intolerance to dairy, your body can still handle it in small amounts without feeling bloated or tired. If you suspect your dairy intake may be causing digestive problems, try to break up your intake throughout the day – rather than having a milky coffee with your morning yoghurt or a bar of chocolate with your lunchtime cheese toastie, spread things out across the day.

Believe us, it is SO worth it!

The fashion designer has now drawn attention to a hilarious spoof of the video, set in a corner shop that sees Victoria declaring her love for Rizlas and sausages and mash. It has been reported that Sarah-Jane Crawford has had an emergency surgery after a lump was found in her womb.

According to The Sun, the decision was made to remove the lump in case of further complications: “If she didn’t treat it the lump could have become very dangerous and potentially affect her fertility.”

The presenter has been forced to miss tonight's National Television Awards as she recovers.

Shock news of her health comes a year after Sarah-Jane underwent surgery to remove a lump from her breast. Thankfully, the lump was found to be non-cancerous. The presenter has since said that she is in a ‘high risk’ category and needs to be checked once a year.

We really hope she feels better soon, we’re sure this is a traumatic ordeal for the young star.

Following the drama that unfolded for Mel B and her husband of seven years, Stephen Belafonte during the final week of The X Factor just before Christmas, it's no wonder that fans were alarmed to hear that Stephen had been rushed to a hospital in LA by wife recently.

When allegations about domestic abuse came out after Mel was rushed to hospital during the final week of the talent show, it wasn’t until Christmas that she addressed them, taking to Instagram and writing: “For the record my hubby would never lay a hand on me.”

Now, more drama is in store for the family as it has been reported that Mel B had to rush her husband to hospital in LA on Tuesday morning.

According to Gossip Cop, the reason behind the hospital visit was severe back pain and Stephen himself took to Twitter to explain that he had managed to put his back out.

Mel B’s mum and sister hit the headlines following her stint in hospital, tweeting their frustration at not knowing if Mel was okay, confirming a very large rift in the family.

Pure Irish Sugar was set up over a year ago by Dublin native Kate Kelly. As a natural redhead (look at those gorgeous locks!), Kate's posts are a great resource for any one with fairer hair and skin who may find it difficult to find products to suit them.

Kate says she wants "to show how makeup really can transform your face and enhance your features," no matter what your colouring.

We caught up with this up-and-coming beauty blogger to find out her beauty secrets and to get the lowdown on her favourite products!

1. What's your best budget beauty buy?
My best budget beauty buy would have to be Cocoa Brown 1 Hour Tan. At only €7.99 you really cannot go wrong with this tan. It is easy to apply, has no fake tan pong and makes you look like a bronzed goddess who just came back from the south of France! This is one product that I cannot live without.

2. What's your top make-up tip?
I use a cotton bud tip after applying my liquid liner to create a super-fierce flick. Just add some cleanser to the cotton bud tip and sweep under your eye and outwards to get a really clean straight line. A little practice always helps too.

3. Do you have a favourite all-round beauty product?
It has to be Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant. This is the most amazing facial exfoliator which leaves your skin so soft after using but also reduces the appearance of pores – a huge problem of mine. It is a powder and all you have to do is mix with some water and apply. I also mix it with my cleanser for when I have a lot of makeup on.

4. What's your earliest beauty memory?
My earliest beauty memory is when my mum introduced me to eyebrows! As a redhead I have blonde eyebrows. My mum was a beauty therapist and the weekend before I started secondary school she decided it was time that I joined the real world and tinted my eyebrows- very lightly might I add. Now I cannot leave the house with out my brows on! It was a beauty moment I will never forget.

5. Most girls have a signature scent – what's yours?
I actually only wear two perfumes and have for the past three years or so. During the day I am a Juicy Couture girl. I am so used to the scent that often someone might ask 'What perfume have you on?'. My night time scent is Lancôme Trésor Midnight Rose which has bold blackcurrant notes with vivacious jasmine, peony and pink pepper to create a magical bouquet of floral notes.

6. What's in your make-up bag right now?
Right now I am loving Blank Canvas F20 brush. I got it recently and I don't think I could use another foundation brush. It blends your foundation to a flawless finish. My lips are really dry at the moment so NEUX Reve De Miel Lip Balm is coming to the rescue every time and tastes like honey too! I indulged at Christmas and bought myself Charlotte Tilbury's Face Sculpt & Highlight and all I can say is it's AMAZING (or SHEmazing)! I couldn't live without my brows or mascara and I just love Benefit's Brow Zings and They're Real Mascara!
