The clue is in the surname – Scott Eastwood is Clint Eastwood’s son. He is also a bit of a hottie…

Scott took to Instagram last night to reveal that he has bagged his first major movie – in the silver screen adaptation of Nicholas Sparks’ book The Longest Ride.

The 28-year-old posted a picture of himself holding the book along with the caption: “Great book. Thanks Fox for this amazing opportunity!!”

The book tells the story of an old man, trapped in a car crash, who is looking back on his life as a young couple nearby fall in love. Sounds like quite the tear-jerker!

Scott caused a bit of stir recently when he was linked with the lead role in Fifty Shades of Grey before the part when to the equally gorgeous Jamie Dornan.

While Eastwood Jnr. has popped up a couple of low key movies and indie flicks, The Longest Ride is his first big-time role.

It seems Lorde has had enough of being compared to other female singers. The Royals singer has spoken openly on the constant expectations of females artists in the music industry.

“People kind of think I don’t wear bras and underwear in my videos because I think there’s something wrong with it –  I don’t. I just don’t feel super comfortable with that and I don’t think that it would help my music to come across any different.”

Many have labelled Lorde as a feminist singer, after she openly slammed the likes of Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift for their raunchy performances. But the 17-year-old has insisted that doesn’t mean she dislikes them personally.

“I get really frustrated about people putting me as the anti-Miley. I think that’s one of the things journalists concoct in their offices. People love to pit female artists against each other in pop, which just seems like the silliest thing ever. It’s not some kind of fight to the death.”

Well that’s us told then.

Look at those guns!

Bradley Cooper is looking very different lately as he has piled on 40lbs for a movie role.

The actor is set to star in Clint Eastwood’s upcoming movie, American Sniper, in which he will take on the role of Chris Kyle, a deceased Navy SEAL.

Bradley looks a lot different to how he appeared in movies such as American Hustle or The Silver Linings Playbook.

We wonder what his girlfriend, Suki Waterhouse, thinks of his transformation?

Apparently there’s a test that can help you determine if you are beautiful or not – as if we didn’t have enough tests to deal with this in a lifetime.

The Beauty and Ugliness Identification Method is the new thing, trending on China’s version of Facebook, Weibo.

According to the craze, the only way to determine if you are beautiful is to take the ‘finger test’.

This involves placing your index finger against your chin and nose to see if your lips touch it. If they do, your beautiful, but if they don’t apparently you’re not hot.

Cosmetic surgeon Brent Tanner says: ‘It’s a fun test to do but must be taken with a pinch of salt. Beauty is not only in the eye of the beholder but we must remember that throughout the world different races not only have different characteristics but also different beauty ideals and therefore this is far too general to convey any real meaning.’

Most people have a negative knee-jerk reaction to the word ‘fat’. But good-for-you fats promote heart health, keep us feeling full and satisfied and may even help ward off cognitive decline.

Here are a few healthy high-fat foods to get onto your plate pronto:

Avocados
With the nickname ‘butter pear’, it’s no secret avocados are high in far. But most of the fat in an avocado is monounsaturated, the heart-healthy kind that actually lowers bad cholesterol. Try replacing butter or cream cheese with avocado spread, or replace the mayo on your sandwich with avocado slices.

Eggs
People often think egg whites are a healthier option than whole eggs because they contain less fat, and while it’s true that the egg yolk contains some fat, it’s also packed with important nutrients. One whole egg contains 5 grams of fat, but only 1.5 grams are saturated.

Olive Oil
Olive oil is commonly used in the Mediterranean diet and we’ve all heard that olive oil reduces the risk of heart disease, blood pressure and certain types of cancer. However, it still packs 100 calories per tablespoon, so moderation is important if you’re watching your weight!

Nuts
Your best bet for nutrition are almonds, walnuts and pistachios. Almonds are the richest in vitamin E; walnuts contain a plant-based omega-3 fatty acid; and pistachios have all the things that are super important for eye health. Research shows nut eaters are generally thinner, less likely to develop type 2 diabetes and have a reduced risk of heart disease to boot.

Fatty Fish
Oily fish such as salmon, tuna, sardines, mackerel and trout are full of good fats, unlike the bad saturated fat you find in most meats.

Is somebody trying to destroy Naya Rivera’s image?

According to her rep, that may just be the case.

The comments came following numerous reports that Naya had not only been fired from Glee, but had also been dropped by Columbia Records.

Naya’s rep spoke to E! and cleared up any misconceptions that appear to be doing the rounds lately with regards to her career:

“Any reports or rumours circulating that Naya Rivra was let go or fired from Glee are absolutely untrue. End of story … The newest story claiming that Naya Rivera was dropped from her recording contract with Columbia Records is absolutely false … Someone obviously has an agenda to damage Naya’s good name and the media are failing at their duty to responsibly vet their sources and verify what is true and what is not. Naya’s attorneys are prepared to take any and all legal action to enforce and protect her rights.”

Oh. Em. Gee. Ed Sheeran is reportedly playing a gig in Dublin’s Vicar Street this coming Monday, May 5th.

While the gig is being held in Dublin, it will also be streamed live from his website, beginning at 9.30pm.

The gig will give fans a chance to see Ed perform some songs from his upcoming album,  ‘X ‘or ‘Multiply’ which is set for release on June 20th.

Dublin isn’t the only city to get a surprise Ed Sheeran gig as he will also perform in London and Ipswich also.

Hilary Duff and her husband, Mike Comrie, have sparked rumours that they may be giving their marriage another chance after being seen together on numerous occasions.

The actress spoke to E! about her marriage and said that the two have no plans on whether to get back together or go their separate ways as of yet.

Hilary said: “We’re constantly seen together and people are like, ‘What are they doing? Are they back together? Are they not?’ We’re really good friends and we have so much respect for each other and obviously Luca is our number one priority … we don’t know what our future looks like right now but we’re both doing really but we’re both doing really good and just figuring out what makes us happy.”

Wow, this couple seem really mature and know exactly what is important in life – hopefully they can work it out.

The easiest way to make sure your crush finds you irresistible is to grab a face wipe! It seems men find women more attractive when they have less make-up on.

In a new study, both men and women were shown images of ladies wearing varying amounts of make-up and asked which they found more attractive.

Both sexes overwhelmingly preferred women with 30 to 40 percent less make-up than they were wearing originally!

However, the research also showed that women think men prefer them to wear a lot of make-up and  slap too much of it on before a big date.

“It seems we are all quite bad at understanding what others find attractive, and this can lead to self-esteem issues,” psychologist and leader of the study Dr Alex Jones said.

The make-up study had a similar effect to the belief that men find skinny figures attractive while women like muscular bodies – which research has also proven to be untrue, he said.

So beauty really is in the eye of the beholder then…who knew!

Kim Kardashian has shown a rare and gorgeous photo of her sweet daughter, North, meeting Vogue editor, Anna Wintour.

The snap was taken by Kim’s fiancé, Kanye West.

The image shows Kim and Kanye enjoying a lunch with Anna Wintour on the day they were offered the infamous Vogue cover.

Despite all of the controversy surrounding the cover, Kim still calls it the “#BestDayEver.”

Kim captioned the image: “#TBT when Anna met North! Oh and told us about our Vogue shoot! #BestDayEver #Vogue #NorthOnlyPayingAttentionToHerDaddyTakingThePic.”
