According to us Irish ladies, Mr Right must know his way around a toolbox.

A recent survey, carried out by RaboDirect, revealed that just over 50 per cent of Irish women are looking for a man who is good at DIY.

He must be good with a hammer and be able to get to grips with a power drill, according to the survey.

Similarly, the survey says that 54 per cent of men want a girlfriend who is good in the kitchen.

And we thought we had moved on!

It seems most men – a whopping 84% – are still pretty old fashioned at heart and insist on offering to pay the entire cost of the first date.

However, the survey says only one in 10 women would make a similar offer though more than half now happily offer to split the bill.

It’s only fair!

We’re not too sure what Michelle Rodriguez is going to make of this news!

Rita Ora has said that she has previously kissed her good pal, Cara Delevingne.

The singer told BBC 3 show, Sweat the Small Stuff, that she has kissed, or in her own words, “got off” with a few famous faces, Cara being one of them.

Rita is now dating DJ, Calvin Harris, we wonder what he makes of all of this!

Meanwhile, Cara is said to have split from her girlfriend, Michelle Rodriguez as the two have not been seen together for a few weeks now.

Nick Cannon has spoken about the rumours that his marriage to his wife of six years, Mariah Carey, is coming to an end.

It was rumoured that the marriage was over because Nick had exposed too many intimate secrets about his marriage and Mariah was not very happy about it.

The actor said: “You kind of have to ignore it, because every week it’s something different, and if you paid attention to it, it actually probably would really start affecting you. It’s kind of humorous, really. It couldn’t be further off from the truth, and it really affects the creditability of the so-called newspapers.”

Nick’s words come soon after photos emerged of the family enjoying a Mother’s Day together.

It’s nice to see that this is one celebrity couple who won’t be splitting any time soon!

There is disappointing news for Pippa Middleton this week after it was revealed her bi-weekly column in The Telegraph has been cancelled.

The column, ‘Court and Social’ was reportedly just not interesting enough to readers as she wrote about spinning classes, cooking pasta and perfect pancakes.

Pippa wrote the column for only six months, so the news will no doubt come as a disappointment to Kate’s little sister.

Kristen Stewart may be the face of iconic designer labels Chanel and Balenciaga, but even she hasn’t escaped a cringe-worthy style faux-pas on the red carpet.

The Twilight star said she is “so, so embarrassed” by the snap taken of her as a child actress at the première of 2002 thriller Panic Room.

But it’s adorable!

Kristen said, “It shouldn’t be embarrassing because I was so young, but it doesn’t even matter how young you are, you’re just so, so embarrassed.”

The actress, who was only 12 at the time, added, “I definitely look back and think, “Oh that wasn’t my best choice”, or that it was so obvious that I wasn’t comfortable in that.

“It is a good feeling though, when you get it right and you can walk tall. It shows, everyone can see that.”

Some new names have been added to the line-up for September’s Electric Picnic festival.

The festival made the announcement at 12pm this afternoon on their Facebook page.

New names include: Blondie, Sinead O’Connor, Mogwai, Neneh Cherry, The Horrors and Duke Dumont.

Ooh, we can’t wait to see Debbie Harry do her thing on stage – excitement!

Moms of the group always make sure no one else is hungry. When anyone comes over there is chocolate, crisps and popcorn. Hungry guests are a mom’s worst enemy.  You got this!

The mum of the group always puts everyone to bed after a night out, she also puts drunky Niamh in the recovery position.

The mum of the group never loses her endearing sense of optimism. She’s the one who sends you little encouraging texts and messages and says things like  “Of course you don’t look fat” “You are DEFO going to pass that exam” “He’s an idiot not to like you”.

Eek, this is embarrassing.

Poor Angelina Jolie suffered a somewhat major make-up fail on the red carpet last night.

Although her husband, Brad Pitt was by her side on the red carpet for the premier of The Normal Heart, he didn’t seem to notice his wife’s powdered face!

Angelina had patches of white powder all over her face which may have been highlighted by the camera flash.

The actress suffered a similar situation last week at a photo call for Maleficent but only on her legs and not too noticeable.

However, it was hard to miss the beauty faux-pas this time, we’re surprised Brad didn’t point it out.

Leg cramps can be pretty painful but do you know what to do when they happen?

There is nothing worse than getting a leg cramp in the middle of the night. Thankfully there are ways to stop it.

What causes them?
Muscle cramps can be caused by a number of things including over exercising, switching from a high heel to a low shoe, when it’s cold outside or when you are dehydrated.

How to relieve them?
The best way to stop a muscle cramp when it is happening, is to stretch and massage the muscle. Try taking a warm bath to relax the pressure or place a heat pad on it. Alternatively, an ice pack can also help. Make sure you don’t put the ice pack directly onto the skin as it could burn it. If it is still there, try walking around or leaning against the wall.

How to prevent them?
Make sure you stay well hydrated and maintain a healthy diet. Stretch everyday and before exercising. Limit the amount of caffeine you consume.

It hasn’t been too long since the “unconscious coupling” of Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow, but it looks like Chris isn’t wasting any time!

It has been reported that Chris was seen having a quiet, intimate drink with none other than style queen, Alexa Chung.

The two were spotted at a bar in Manhattan, New York, where sources say: “Chris and Alexa seemed to know each other really well … They were both in a great mood.”

Hmm, we wonder if this was just old friends catching up or perhaps an early love story in the making.

Either way, we wonder what Gwyneth will make of all of this.
