You would think the least likely place for a marriage proposal would be right smack in the middle of pro-democracy protest, but not for this couple.

22-year-old Yau got down on one knee during police and protestor clashes to ask his girlfriend of two months Chen to marry him. The 21-year-old responded with a resounding yes as protesters cheered the couple.

It seems that there is always a right time to get down on one knee, with Yau saying: "I've been up all night. To begin with, I had been thinking of proposing on the 21st, but then I saw there's so many people here, so why not do it today, so that everyone can be a witness to our love."

Aw, congratulations to the newly engaged couple!

We’ve all heard the rumours about Chris Martin and Jennifer Lawrence and it seems their unofficial relationship is blossoming.

The pair were spotted having a, eh, couple moment at a recent Kings of Leon concert with a source saying: “[They] engaged playfully with each other, appearing like a couple in love. She kissed him on the lips several times.” Eek, that is actually pretty sweet!

While they are rarely seen together, the pair, who have been reportedly dating since June, were spotted at a number of Coldplay gigs across the globe. JLaw is obviously smitten as she took plenty of snaps of the 34-year-old while he played at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas.

Chris only split from Gwyneth Paltrow, who he was married to for ten years, last March, but it seems he has fallen hard for the Hunger Games actress, even asking her to move in with him.

A source said: “Jen is great at playing the cool girl and letting the guy chase her. She manages not to come off as clingy or needy. I hear it was Chris who initiated the conversation about them being exclusive, and her moving in – at least part time – to his Malibu home. Jen will have taken it in her stride, while jumping up and down on the inside." 

Although we don't blame her, there is just something about Chris that makes us swoon…

Coronation Street star Georgia May Foote has been signed by Select Model Management and is obviously over the moon.

The absolutely stunning 23-year-old who plays Katie Armstrong in the show certainly gives Michelle Keegan a run for her money in the looks department and it seems Select agree.

The actress, who has already filmed her final scenes in the popular soap, says this is “an absolute dream come true”. Georgia’s not the only one who is thrilled though with the Head of Special Bookings at the modelling agency saying: "Select Special Bookings are excited by this beautiful, talented young actress and see a great future for her in the fashion world."

So alls well that ends well for the star who admitted that it wasn’t her decision to leave the cobbles: “'I was a bit gutted that leaving Corrie wasn’t my decision – it’s like a boyfriend dumping you first – but I’m really excited."

Wonder what Chesney thinks about Joseph’s mum becoming a model … hmmm!

Trouble seems to follow this guy around.

Professor Green was at the Durham Student Union Welcome Ball recently when he was subjected to a bit of abuse from the crowd.

One drunk student stupidly decided to shout C**t at the rapper, whose real name is Stephen Manderson. And rather than letting the heavies deal with it, Millie Mackintosh’s husband walked over and gave him a slap in the face.

According to the college’s paper, The Tab, the rapper shouted to the crowd: “That’s what happens when you call me a c**t”

Now, while we certainly don’t condone the student for shouting profanities, violence is never the answer. 

However, the incident didn’t stop the rapper sending out the following tweet:

 

It's seems he's not all bad though – he went home and made Millie dinner (ordering in does count!)

Someone needs to tell the Kings of Leon about this little guy – he has mad skillz!

As well as being adorable (and teeny tiny), this kitten seems to be especially talented in the field of drumming – as he shows off with this hilarious dance. It might be an escape plan, it might be the performance of his life – we're not quite sure!

Keep on drumming little fella – you're not quite tall enough to climb out of that basket just yet!

Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Eric Stonestreet might be hilarious as Cam and Mitch on Modern Family but they weren't quite so charming recently when they crashed a university party in Kansas!

The actors were at Eric's old college, Kansas State University, to give a talk to students recently. The pair decided to go for a few drinks afterwards… and ended up reliving their glory days! 

Chatting with Conan O'Brien show during the week, Jesse revealed that the two lads stopped by Eric's old fraternity house, Pi Kappa Alpha, at the very respectable time of 2.30am. They found the remains of a wild party and made the executive decision to go exploring further. As you do!

The real fun came when the pair took a peek into Eric's old room… only to find a couple getting busy in the bed! "There was a man in there with his lady friend and they were under the sheets doing naughty, naughty things," Jesse joked to Conan. 

But the bould couple apparently didn't mind too much about being walked in on – all they wanted was a photo wth the two stars. 

"We come into the room and … she's covering herself up with the sheet," said Jesse. "And then she says: "Oh my God! Can we get a picture with you guys?"'

To be honest, we'd probably have done the exact same!

Actress Lena Dunham is getting pretty serious with her boyfriend Jack Antonoff!

The star spoke to Howard Stern recently about her long-term relationship, referring to Jack as her "life partner." Although the couple have just moved in together, Lena says they won't be getting married any time soon – for a very good reason.

"We're not against marriage, but I wanna wait," said the Girls actress. "My sister's gay and it just doesn't feel good to me to do something she can't do."

"She can do it in some places but not all places," said Lena. Gay marriage is currently only legal in 19 out of 50 US states.

Sounds like she's following in the footsteps of Brad and Angelina, who famously said they'd wait to tie the knot until gay marriage was legal in every state – a promise which they seem to have backed out of!

Lena said that despite their busy schedules, her and Jack are closer than ever. "We met and the day after we were apart for three months and so our relationship was sort of formed long distance, like that's what I became used to," she revealed. "But now, for the most part, we see each other…we try not to be apart for more than a week or two."

Well, we hope the couple can say their vows sooner rather than later!

Actor Charlie Sheen is facing huge legal controversy at the moment, with news emerging that a dental technician has filed a case against him for assault, sexual battery and emotional distress.

Margarita Palestino was assisting Los Angeles dentist Dr. George Bogen on the day that Charlie visited to have an abscess removed. She claims that the actor ripped off his oxygen mask while in the dentist's chair and began shouting "I'm going to f***ing kill you" at those present in the room.

When Ms. Palestino tried to replace the mask under the dentist's orders, the Two and a Half Men actor grabbed her left breast and began tugging at her bra strap as if trying to open it. 

As staff tried to calm Charlie down, he shouted "F**k you," and again told Ms. Palestino he was going to kill her. She also claims that later in the visit Charlie bolted from the chair and punched her in the chest.

As the actor was leaving, his personal assistant reportedly handed Dr. Bogen $500, saying it was for "your troubles." Ms. Palestino claims she was later told by her boss that Charlie was high "on a combination of crack cocaine, Theradol and alcohol."

Charlie's reps say he was on prescription medication for a bad shoulder injury, which may have reacted to the nitrous oxide administered during his dentist visit.

Some lucky ladies look just as flawless without make-up as they do with a full face of slap, and TOWIE's Chloe Sims seems to be one of them!

The reality shared a bare-faced picture of herself on Instagram last night, and we have to admit, the all-natural look totally suits her!

Chloe was enjoying an early night, and captioned the pic, "Clean face ready for B.E.D."

Going make-up free is a rare move for the star, who previously revealed that she was very insecure about her appearance and hated seeing cruel comments about her looks online.

"I’ve always been insecure about my face," she said in an interview. "But reading that you’re ugly just makes it worse. Every day someone says something nasty."

Well, if this picture is anything to go by, Chloe has absolutely nothing to be insecure about! Gorgeous!

The internet went crazy yesterday after footage was published of Kim Kardashian appearing to leave baby North behind at a Paris hotel.

In the video, Kim walks past the assembled photographers to her car, peers in the door, then heads back into the lobby before re-emerging with little Nori. Very mysterious!

Although many believed the star had simply forgotten that North was still inside the hotel, Kim denies that was the case.

She made it clear with a series of posts on Twitter that she found the story totally ridiculous: 

Kim added that she had gone out to the car without one-year-old North to check the baby seat was ready, before heading back inside to get her:

Hmmm… sounds a bit too convenient, but for the sake of poor North we hope it was the truth!

The world's eyes are back on Amanda Bynes after another week of drama for the star.

Amanda, who was arrested for a DUI last week and hasn't been seen by her parents for months, was reportedly in a bad state as she waited for a flight to New York.

The actress was spotted in a restaurant at LAX airport, sitting alone and talking to herself. "Amanda was at the table by herself with all her makeup spread out across the table," according to an onlooker.

"She was talking to herself and putting on a ton of makeup," the eyewitness explained. "She would apply some, look in her compact and make weird pouty faces and then say to herself, 'Ok, that looks fine.'" Not good!

While her speech was clear and coherent, her physical behaviour told a different story. "She was really fidgety and really sloppy in the way she ate her food," said the source. "When she got up to leave, she practically bolted out of there. She had a really weird gait to her, she was power walking with posture like a pregnant woman. It was bizarre."

After her arrival in New York yesterday, the star was spotted walking along through Manhattan with a plaster on her face, looking decidedly dishevelled:

It's thought Amanda's wild behaviour of late may have something to with the fact that her parent's conservatorship over her estate ended on September 10th, meaning she regained control of her financial affairs. Time will tell!

The Saturdays starlet Frankie Bridge had a tough few days this week after she suffered an ankle injury during dance rehearsals.

The singer is taking part in the current series of Strictly Come Dancing, and was left in pain after she landed awkwardly during training for tonight's live show.

Earlier this week she posted a picture of her dance partner Kevin Clifton applying ice to her ankle, with the caption "Ouch! My 1st Strictly injury."

But Frankie is now back on her feet and is set to perform a Charleston with Kevin, to the theme tune music from 1970s sitcom Happy Days. Love it!

The singer took to Twitter to express her excitement about tonight's show:

Getting used to the gruelling training schedule hasn't been easy for Frankie, who revealed in an interview this week that she's been forced to take motion sickness tablets to help with the nausea she was suffering from being spun around during each number. "Every part of my body aches," said the star, "but my body feels toned and I feel fitter than ever."

We're glad to hear she's on the mend, all the same!
