In case you didn't know, Miley Cyrus REALLY loves tattoos.

The singer had barely touched down in Australia when she decided to add to her growing collection, heading to the popular Eureka Rebellion Trading parlour to get some new ink.

With a lip tattoo of a crying cat, and another that reads ‘Love Yer Brain’, we could only imagine what she opted for this time around. So no, we weren't a bit surprised to hear that she got the word 'Wukong' printed onto her wrist!

At first we were well and truly puzzled at what the word ‘Wukong’ meant, but it turns out that it is actually the nickname Miley has for her brother, Braison.

The owner of the tattoo parlour said that Miley’s artwork was “just a small piece as she’s got tiny arms”, and was designed by the Wrecking Ball singer herself.

“She was awesome, she’s such a rad girl,” he added.

We actually think the tattoo is a really sweet idea!

Actress Amanda Bynes has reportedly been placed on involuntary psychiatric hold in a hospital in LA, according to reports today.

The actress caused concern yesterday after posting a series of tweets in which she accused her father of making sexual advances towards her, before later taking back the accusations, blaming them on a “microchip in my brain”.

According to TMZ, Amanda arrived in Los Angeles yesterday evening and was picked up by a car service, which she thought was taking her to a hotel. Instead, the 28-year-old’s parents had her brought to a hospital, where their lawyer and doctors were awaiting her arrival.

 

An involuntary psychiatric hold was then placed on Amanda, meaning that she can be held for up to 72 hours. It is believed that her parents are working to have their daughter placed back under their conservatorship.

We certainly hope that Amanda and her family can work together through what is clearly a very difficult time.

The world’s most expensive burger has been unveiled – and it may make you feel slightly ill.

Forget your double quarter pounder with cheese – the $1,768 “Glamburger” is a monstrous piece of culinary art consisting of a 280 gram meat patty, also containing black truffle brie, lobster, beluga caviar, venison and duck egg.

Oh, and we forgot to mention that there’s an edible gold leaf sitting pretty on top.

If the elaborate range of tastes and flavours doesn’t sit well with your palate, then you might want to look away before we reveal just how calorific this concoction is. The Glamburger packs a mighty punch to the gut, clocking in at 2,618 calories.

Suddenly, we’re not feeling so hungry for lunch.

The Glamburger was created by chef Chris Large in collaboration with Groupon, who wanted to do something extra special to mark the sale of their five-millionth food and drink voucher in Britain.

Large has said that he will give the Glamburger away free to the winner of a special competition that is set to run shortly.

A US scientist may have just discovered a cure for diabetes.

Experts are describing new stem cell research which could signal the end of insulin injections as a major breakthrough, possibly even the biggest medical discovery since antibiotics.

According to the research report, published in health journal Cell, Harvard Professor Doug Melton has successfully cured diabetes in laboratory mice by growing insulin-producing cells from ordinary skin cells.

This means that not only could sufferers of the Type 1 strain of the condition potentially forego daily insulin injections, but the new treatment could also prevent them from developing other serious complications such as blindness, strokes and heart attacks.

Naturally it follows that this new treatment would also help Type 2 sufferers, whose condition is brought on by a lack of sufficient insulin being produced by the body.

Melton initially began his research after two of his children were diagnosed with diabetes, promising them that he would find a cure for their illness. And while the treatment has so far only been animal-tested, Cell reports that it is only one step away from being trialled on humans.

Amazing news for those living with the condition. Let’s hope this new treatment can really make a difference.

Anyone who has been following our updates on Amanda Bynes’ recent bizarre behaviour will no doubt have seen those rather worrying tweets from earlier today, in which she accused her father of making sexual advances towards her.

While the actress went on to send out a tweet in which she took back all of the allegations she made against her father, her parents have this evening expressed their deep concern for their daughter.

 

In a statement released after Amanda’s flurry of tweets, her mother Lynn wrote: “I am heartbroken today for my husband of 47 years. Rick has been the best father and husband a family can ask for. He has never abused Amanda or our other children physically or sexually.”

She added: “These accusations are absolutely horrible and could not be further from the truth! These allegations stem from Amanda’s mental state at the moment. They have no basis in reality. It saddens me beyond belief that my husband’s character could be slandered in such a way.”

Their statement comes after Amanda appeared to do a one-eighty on the extremely serious allegations, writing on Twitter: “My dad never did any of those things. The microchip in my brain made me say those things but he’s the one that ordered them to microchip me.”

The actress has remained silent on her social media since, but, naturally, her activity today has only raised further concern about her wellbeing.

Iggy Azalea is not a happy camper.

While we’re still getting over the shock of finding out about the (false) marriage claim by her former manager, Hefe Wine, the Work singer is making her feelings about the story known!

Having since denied the claims that she is married, Iggy went on to blast Wine and entertainment website TMZ for spreading the story.

Iggy took to Twitter to share her feelings on the matter, writing; “TMZ just asked me at the airport if I think my 'common law marriage' claim is a money grab. Yes, but it’s TMZ’s money he’s [Wine] grabbing. Lol."

But she didn’t hide her anger either, adding: “Press don’t care that a story is clearly false, they just want you to click it. So they’re happy to pay, and this person continues to make $.”

Iggy finished her rant by tweeting: “The whole cycle is stupid and a waste of my time.”

TMZ broke the story this morning, in which Wine claimed that he intended to divorce Iggy – and pocket the cash that would inevitably come with such a legal action.

Well, Iggy has put Wine – and TMZ – firmly in their place!

So Taylor Swift has just received some amazing news.

The Shake It Off singer has been named as Billboard’s ‘Woman of the Year’ 2014!

This is the second time that Taylor has walked away with the coveted title – talk about world domination!

Taylor is set to be officially honoured with the title at the 9th annual Women in Music Awards event this coming December.

Explaining the reasoning behind their choice of artist – although they’re preaching to the converted, here – Billboard praised Taylor’s incredible talent.

A statement released announcing the news read: “As one of the most influential artists of her generation, Taylor Swift has seen incredible success on the Billboard charts. Over the course of her career, she’s charted 60 entries on the Hot 100 – the most of any female artist since her debut in 2006.”

Wow, that is some amazing achievement.

Taylor is currently in London, where she is gearing up to perform live on this weekend’s X Factor, alongside the wonderful Pharrell Williams. No doubt Taylor will be chatting about her latest achievement tonight, with the singer due to pay a visit to Graham Norton’s chat show.

Congratulations to the lovely Taylor – the title is well and truly deserved!

Super-hot couple alert!

While Made in Chelsea star Jamie Laing’s world tore to pieces upon the discovery that Proudlock (the best friend) had been secretly kissing Lucy Watson (the ex), we were all secretly delighted.

And while Lucy and Proudlock were quick to play down any budding romance, insisting that all it came down to was a few innocent kisses, it looks like romance bloomed when the cameras stopped rolling!

As well as appearing arm-in-arm at an event last night, fashion designer Proudlock pretty much confirmed that the pair are a couple.

“We decided to give things a try when we got back to Chelsea because it was one of those things where we never really knew what the other person was thinking or where we stood, because we didn’t get to hang out one on one,” he said.

Hurray!

Turning to the subject of Jamie’s outburst upon learning of his friends’ budding romance, Proudlock added: “There are tensions between me and J, and it’s weird because it’s the first argument we’ve ever had so you’ll see all that play out [on the show].”

We won’t lie – we absolutely love Proudlock and Lucy as a couple, and can’t wait to see what happens between them in the next series of MIC.

So we literally cannot stop laughing at this.

As much as we love Frozen, hearing it explained to an elderly grandmother like it’s real life just makes us realise how complicated a story it really is.

We think the highlight of this guy’s hilarious prank has to be the look of horror and utter confusion on his grandmother’s face when he starts talking about a homeless guy from the woods called Kristoff.

Not that this lady isn't au-fait with pop culture – when her grandson starts talking about Elsa’s strange behaviour, she is quick to ask the question: “Is that [Miley] Cyrus again?”

After coming to the conclusion that Elsa is, indeed “not normal”, she ponders “how do you meet these crazy girls?”

This is pure comedy gold.
