It's seems like the young and innocent days of Miley Cyrus has long passed, and while the Hannah Montana alum is killing it at the moment, we miss her early feel-good, preppy music.

Well, we might be able to get the best of both worlds (geddit?!) now that Miley's younger sister Noah has just debuted her first track.

Teaming up with Labrinth, Noah released Make Me Cry today, and it's pretty good… Very Miley á la 2009.

It's way more mature and developed compared to what Miley first came out with, which is a very good thing if Noah wants to stay in the industry.

so happy to finally share this. my new song #MakeMeCry feat. @labrinth is out now!!! link in my bio

She jumped to fame as part of Netflix’s quirky sci-fi drama Stranger Things, but it seems Millie Bobby Brown will not be defined by her character, Eleven.

Having previously rapped Nicki Minaj lyrics and effectively covered Ed Sheeran’s Thinking Out Loud, the 12-year-old actress has appeared in her first music video.

Teaming up with Birdy and Sigma for their new track Find Me, the young Brit gives an emotive lip-syncing performance while starring as the video’s only featured character.

Millie told Rolling Stone that she was “excited” to be included in the project because she is a long time Birdy fan.

Having covered the likes of Coldplay, Garth Brooks and Adele, Coláiste Lurgan is already well established in the Irish music scene.

Combining its students’ linguistic and musical talents once again, the Irish language school recently took on one of 2016’s biggest hits.

Earlier this week, the popular Gaelscoil released its own rendition of Calvin Harris and Rihanna’s This Is What You Came For.

As with all of Coláiste Lurgan’s musical ventures, the track has been translated into Irish and is accompanied by a thought provoking music video.

A nine-year-old girl has become an Internet sensation after a video of her performing Adele’s Hello in a bid to connect with her late father went viral.

After her mother asked her why she was repeatedly singing the song in her bedroom, Sadiella Shroyer explained that it was her way of apologising to her dad “from the other side”.

In a heart-breaking Instagram post Ami Shroyer wrote:  “This song became popular about the time we lost Mike.  She would sing it over and over in her room, and I asked her one time why she liked this song so much.”

“Her response: ‘I think Daddy can hear me from the other side, and I'm sorry for everything I ever did that was wrong.’”

Ami – who is herself a singer-songwriter – revealed the emotions her daughter’s words evoked in her.

“Broke. My. Heart,” she wrote.  “Still… she loves this song, even if the rest of the world is tired of it…I really really love this girl!”

According to Babble, Sadiella’s dad died in December 2015 after an unexplained obstruction eventually caused him to go into cardiac arrest.

Months later, her grandfather, Ami’s father, died from a brain haemorrhage.

Ami told the site that her family have dealt with those tragedies through a combination of faith and music.

After a year filled with boyfriend drama and squad goals, Taylor Swift got a little nostalgic on Instagram last night as she reminisced on a decade of music.

Taking to the site to celebrate her first album’s tenth anniversary, the Bad Blood singer shared a sweet picture of her teenage self playing a guitar while dressed in the uber noughties combo of a Pink hoody and three-quarter length jeans.

In the caption, the 26-year-old star acknowledged how her life has changed since the photo was taken, and thanked her fans for the part they played in that transition.

She wrote: “10 years ago today, my first album came out.  I couldn’t be more grateful today, thinking back on how much fun we’ve had and how you’ve encouraged me to change and grow.”

“It’s been such an adventure, guys.  Thank you for all of it.”

Wildest dreams..

Demi Lovato has decided to quit the music industry… for now anyway.

Just a day after she let rip at Taylor Swift's girl gang, the former Disney star has revealed she's taking a break from the business and wants to focus on charity work instead.

She tweeted last night: "So excited for 2017. Taking a break from music and the spotlight.

"I am not meant for this business and the media."

When a fan asked her to explain her decision, she said: "Dunno. It doesn't feel worth it anymore. I'd rather do charity work."

After her article in Glamour targeting Tay-Tay's Bad Blood video came out, Demi took to Twitter to say: "I don't understand why people care so much about what I say in interviews?

"Do y'all watch the news? Don't y'all got s**t to worry about?"

Will you miss Demi being on the music scene?

We have to admit that this is a bit of a weird one.

The beloved John and Edward shared a photo of themselves with Noughties singer Dido (we sang our hearts out to White Flag way too any times) on Twitter, and it seems they're all teaming up for a song… we think.

Jedward captioned the picture: "We've Been Waiting 🙂 @didoofficial GET ON THAT MIC."

Now, we have a few points about this. Number one – do Jedward still write with Caps at the start of each word?! Very 2004…

And two – are they really recording a duet together? Because if so, do their music styles even match?! We can't imagine it.

However, we did LOVE Dido back when she dominated the charts so it'll be great to see her make a comeback.

Thanks to Gigi Hadid, we now know that Taylor Swift is back making music again.

The model was speaking to Entertainment Weekly this week, and said that Taylor's "obviously such a great friend, and you know she is starting to go back to work in the studio again, and really made time to be here for me, and I am so grateful for that."

Gigi was talking about Taylor's appearance at her TommyXGigi NYFW show, in which she shocked the celeb world by turning up and lip-syncing to some of Calvin Harris' tunes.

Kesha has reportedly dropped her sexual assault claim against record producer Dr Luke in an apparent bid to reboot her music career.

Buzzfeed News has reported that on Monday the singer began legal proceedings in California to end her ongoing sexual assault legal battle.

According to MTV, the Californian lawsuit – which alleges that Dr Luke drugged, raped and sexually assaulted the TiK ToK singer – has been on hold since last Summer while Dr Luke’s defamation claim against Kesha is dealt with in New York.

Now the star’s legal team has told Buzzfeed News that she has submitted 28 new songs to Dr Luke’s Kemosabe label, which is part of Sony Music.

They said: “Kesha is focused on getting back to work and has delivered 28 new songs to the record label.”

“We have conveyed to Sony Music and the label Kesha’s strong desire to release the single and an album as soon as possible.”

While Sony has not yet commented on the case, Dr Luke’s legal representative told Buzzfeed that Kesha voluntarily dropped her claims “because she has no chance of winning them”.

Early this morning the singer tweeted: "My fight continues.  I need to get my music out.  I am continuing to fight for my rights in New York.  Thank you for all your support."

Kesha has been unable to release any new music bar her True Colours collaboration with Zedd earlier this year since she first filed her complaint against Dr Luke in October 2014.

In 2005 the star signed an exclusive recording deal with Dr Luke which stated she must create five albums for the producer before she can leave his label.  So far she has released two albums: Animal and Warrior.

If you were one of the thousands left devastated by the cancellation of Garth Brooks' Croke Park gigs in 2014 or missed out on Adele's 3Arena concerts back in March, it sounds like you're about to get a second chance to see these musical legends do their thing in Ireland.

Well, according to Lord Mayor of Cork Cllr Des Cahill, that is.

Speaking on Cork's Red FM this morning, the Lord Mayor hinted that the People's Republic might be welcoming both Adele and Garth in the not-too-distant future.

"The speculation that we could be welcoming Garth Brooks and Adele to Leeside next summer is outstanding news for Cork," he said while speaking to prominent radio DJ, Neil Prendeville.

"Although the concerts have yet to be officially confirmed the speculation that two blockbuster gigs are in the pipeline for the new Cork stadium in the summer of 2017 is a huge boost," he added.

Adding even more fuel to the fire, Lord Mayor Cahill took to Twitter this morning to express his excitement over the possibility that the city might soon be hosting two of the biggest names in the music industry.

We know it's not confirmed, we know it's not a sure thing, but that hasn't stopped us planning our route to Cork…

While it might be remembered as the series that launched global sensation, One Direction, series seven of the X Factor actually had quite a number of stand-out contestants.

While Matt Cardle and Rebecca Ferguson were pegged for stardom from the get-go, X Factor hopeful Mary Byrne also had the UK and Irish public eating out of the palm of her hand back in 2010.

An incredible singing voice coupled with a warm, down-to-earth personality made the Dubliner one of the most popular contestants in the long-running ITV show.

But after losing out to Matt Cardle six years ago, Mary’s star didn’t ascend quite as high as viewers and fans hoped, but that hasn’t stopped the former Tesco worker pursuing her dream.

Having released an album entitled Mine & Yours in 2011 followed by an autobiography called This Is My Life, Mary will now be performing alongside Cliff Richard on her upcoming Mediterranean Cruise ship performances.

And while Mary was known for her incredible on-stage persona – bejewelled gowns, ebony hair and show-stopping make-up – viewers were also given a sneak peek into the singer’s down-time get-up, and it endeared us to her even more.

Recently rocking flip-flops, cut-offs and a blonde bob, Mary smiled warmly for photographers outside Today FM studios after promoting her concerts with the one and only Sir Cliff.

And if the rumours are to be believed, Mary won’t be stopping there – Tesco’s most famous export is reportedly set to release a 60s-themed album in the not-too-distant future.

Yaaas Queen, yaaas.
