The PSNI have arrested four people in connection with the murder of journalist Lyra McKee.

The men aged 15, 18, 38, 51 were arrested this morning. They are currently in custody and are being questioned by detectives.

28-year-old Lyra was shot dead on April 18 during riots in Derry City.

Superintendent Jason Murphy stated: "As part of this morning’s operation detectives carried out searches at four houses in the city and arrested four people in connection with the violence which was orchestrated on the streets of Creggan on the evening of Lyra McKee’s murder."

He also appealed for witnesses to come forward. "I still want to hear from anyone who can tell us anything they know. I would urge anyone who has any information to contact my team of detectives on 101.

"Alternatively, if you would prefer to provide information without giving your details, you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111," he added.

Tributes have been paid to 29-year-old journalist Lyra McKee who was killed in Derry last night. Lyra was reporting on riots in the Creggan area of Derry when a gunman shot her.

It is understood that a dissident republican shot the young journalist. The PSNI are appealing for witnesses.

Lyra has been remembered as an inspiring and gifted writer whose future was cruelly stolen from her in what has been described as a ‘senseless’ act.

A post shared by J A D E S H I E L D S (@jadeyshields) on

Lyra was set to release her first book The Lost Boys in 2020.

Tánaiste Simon Coveney paid tribute to the writer: “Sick to my stomach at death of Lyra McKee in Derry. She was an inspiring thinker and journalist. Last night she was killed by a thug terrorizing people in Derry.”

“Heartbreaking news. A senseless act. A family has been torn apart. Those who brought guns onto our streets in the 70s, 80s & 90s were wrong. It is equally wrong in 2019. No one wants to go back. My thoughts are also with the brave officers who stood in defence of their community,” said Arlene Foster.

Close friend of Lyra McKee, Matthew Hughes expressed his devastation at the loss of his dear friend.

“She was one of my closest friends. She was my mentor. She was a groomswoman at my wedding. I can't imagine life without her, and yet now I must. I'm devastated.”

Sinéad Gleeson added: “It’s utterly senseless and such a waste. Lyra, at 29, was a blazing comet; fearless and full of integrity (and mischief, it has to be said). Heartbroken for her family and friends, and for all the challenging and brilliant work we will never get to see. Thank you @LyraMcKee.”

Our thoughts are with the family and friends of Lyra McKee. She will forever be remembered for her powerful words and determined heart.

We couldn't be more delighted for Demi, as she seems to be all loved up.

The lucky fella is none other than the fashion designer, Henry Levy.

The pair were first linked together as an item in early December, as they were papped in Malibu locking lips.

Now, it looks as if they've taken their relationship up a gear, becoming Instagram official.

Flaunting the new romance, Henry posted an Instagram story of the couple on a private jet.

In the clip, Demi leans over for a kiss, which is met by Henry and they both smile as they pull away – ADORABLE.

Although the clip was on Henry's private Instagram page, an eagle-eyed fan account caught the action, and share it on Twitter.

We are thrilled to see Demi looking so well and couldn't be happier if she has found love.

Her new man is behind the fashion brand Enfants Riches Deprime, which he started in 2012.

The brand is popular with famous faces like Justin Bieber, Kim Kardashian and Travis Scott.

Jael Strauss who was a contestant in season eight of America's Next Top Model has sadly passed away.

The 34-year-old model lost her battle to breast cancer, only two months after she was initially diagnosed.

The model gained her wings in a hospice on Tuesday around 11 am.

Her health had begun to rapidly deteriorate on Monday, according to TMZ.

A post shared by Felipe Dumas Varon (@phoebobuffay) on

Jael had informed fans that she had decided to stop chemotherapy in October.

Heartbreakingly she said her cancer was "incurable" at stage four.

“I was gonna write some long thing but some of you guys deserve to know, On October 2nd I was diagnosed with stage IV breast cancer,” she wrote on Facebook.

“It has aggressively spread throughout my body and is incurable.”

“With treatment, it may prolong my life longer than the ‘few months’ doctors said I could make it. I don’t want to die. I need another one of those miracles that I got back in 2013,” she finished.

The model also penned her feelings about her first night in the hospice: “So many things I never knew about life. Or death. So many things.”

In a statement to TMZ, her family said that: “The one blessing was that we were able to show her how loved she was before she passed.”

“She brought so much light to people,” they added.

Before her untimely passing, Jael detailed that she was focused on rebuilding her life after being sober for five years.

The model struggled with an addition to crystal meth but bravely overcame it.

Tributes have been pouring in all over social media.

Our thoughts are with her family at this incredibly difficult time.

Pete Davidson has opened up about the impact online bullies have had on his mental health in the most harrowing open letter.

The comedian has kept his head down since splitting up with Breathin’ singer Ariana Grande but the SNL cast member has been hit with waves of abuse despite keeping a low profile.

Pete has been receiving never-ending hateful comments and has been at the centre of far too many nasty jokes since his relationship with the pop star crumbled.

Taking to Instagram, he opened up about feeling suicidal and living with Borderline Personality Disorder.

Pete admitted that he has been struggling to get his head around the online trolls and the horrible things they say but he stressed that they will never push him to suicide.

A post shared by Pete Davidson (@petedavidson) on

“I’ve kept my mouth shut. Never mentioned any names, never said a word about anyone or anything. I’m trying to understand how when something happens to a guy the whole entire world just trashes him without any facts or frame of reference,” he wrote.

“Especially in today’s climate where everyone loves to be offended and upset it truly is mind-boggling. I’ve been getting online bullied and in public by people for 9 months.

A post shared by Pete Davidson (@petedavidson) on

“I’ve spoken about BPD and being suicidal publicly only in hopes that it will bring awareness and help kids like myself who don’t want to be on this earth,” he said.

Pete stressed that the bullies will never win: “I just want you guys to know. No matter how hard the Internet or anyone tries to make me kill myself. I won’t. I’m upset I even have to say this. To all those holding me down and seeing this for what it is — I see you and I love you. Pete.”

A massive high-five is coming Jean-Paul Gaultier way.

The fashion God has announced live on French telly that he is banning the use of real fur from his collections.

The move comes as Jean-Paul labelled the industry's methods of killing animals for their fur as "absolutely deplorable”.

The decision to move away from a cruel and unnecessary industry could come as Jean-Paul was feeling the heat from other brands.

Gucci, Versace, Galliano, Armani, Ralph Lauren and Michael Kors – to name a few – have all recently announced the end of using real fur in their fashion collections.

Mimi Bekhechi, director of international programmes at the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (Peta) believes that the move away from real fur by the fashion director is a “sign of changed times”.

“Most people no longer wish to wear anything from animals who were cruelly caged, electrocuted, bludgeoned to death or caught in steel traps, left to die slowly and painfully–the way coyotes are still being killed for the trim on Canada Goose jackets," she explained.

“Fur today is as dead as the poor animals it was stolen from, and any designers not clued up enough to see that may as well hang up their sewing needles now”.

A post shared by Jean Paul Gaultier (@jpgaultierofficial) on

Peta could be correct, as the brand, Coach revealed at the start of the year, that they are starting to phase out the use of real fur, and added the aim of stop using the product entirely by next autumn.

Famously, Burberry announced before London's fur-free Fashion week, that they had halted the manufacturing of products using real fur.

Sadly, there are labels who haven't hopped aboard the cruelty-free train – *cough, cough*, Fendi, Louis Vuitton and Marc Jacobs.

But hopefully, they are influenced and pressurised by the changing times.

Nevertheless, this is a win for Jean-Paul Gaultier and the move should be celebrated.
