Amy Schumer

You'd assume that her red carpet appearances, box office success and general star status might mean Amy Schumer would take most things in her stride.

But it looks like the Trainwreck star is as goofy as the rest of us when it comes to inadvertently catching herself on camera.

While we still get excited seeing ourselves enter a store on CCTV, Amy has the same reaction when it comes to the Kiss Cam feature at major sporting events in the States.

I have always wanted to be on the kiss cam! My dad and my man!! #letsgomets

While attending a Mets game at the weekend, the actress looked beyond cute after realising she, her dad and her boyfriend were currently being beamed across the stadium.

Sharing the footage on Instagram last night, Amy wrote: "I have always wanted to be on the kiss cam! My dad and my man!! #letsgomets."

The upload has clocked up a staggering 975,000 likes online, with fans of the star thrilled by Amy's reaction.

In fairness, it IS pretty damn cute.

The Simpsons is still one of our all-round favourite TV shows, and we love when it has celebs guest star on episodes.

And the latest star to show her face, or erm, voice, on the comedy series is none other than Amy Schumer.

And she won't only appear on The Simpsons, but Family Guy and Bob's Burgers too.

Her role in the latter two will be pretty small, but it seems like she's going to have quite a defining storyline in Springfield.

The show's executive producer Al Jean told Vanity Fair: “We said a good character for our plot would be that she’s Burns’s mother in the past and kind of the source of this unhappiness that he has that’s haunted him to the present.”

Yep, so not only will she appear in white and black flashbacks but she'll also be Burns' MOTHER.

Now that's a twist.

You can catch the episode this tomorrow night on Sky.

This week, Amy Schumer took to Instagram to share a picture of two magazine covers she spotted on the Internet… and she was outraged by them.

Standing side by side is a Girls' Life mag and a Boys' Life mag, with completely contrasting views.

No

The Girls' Life cover includes lines such as 'Your dream hair', 'Wake up pretty' and 'First Kiss' confessionals.

Yet, on the flipside, the Boys' Life covers has 'Explore your future' sprawled across the front along with 'Astronaut? Artist? Firefighter? Chef? Here's how to be what you want to be'.

Wow. @amyschumer I second that emotion. Ladies, let's not let this happen anymore…

Amy simply captioned the post: "No," and later Blake Lively retweeted the comedian's picture and said, "Wow. @amyschumer I second that emotion. Ladies, let's not let this happen anymore…"

Katie Holmes later joined in and hashtagged it, "#thisneedstochange."

Don't get us wrong, we love a nice hair do, but c'mon, we can be whoever we want to be and reach for the stars when it comes to our careers. No, not only our careers, our whole damn lives.

When it comes to the red carpet, there's no doubt that Amy Schumer sees it as the perfect platform to showcase her offbeat humour.

Using it as an extension of her TV and film sets, the actress is much more content to crack a few gags and fall at the feet of Kim and Kanye than chat about her gown with the rest of them.

And this year's Emmys was no different.

While being interviewed by Giuliana Rancic alongside her sister Kim, the Trainwreck actress responded to the classic 'Who are you wearing?' question with something that could ONLY have come out of Amy Schumer's mouth.

Ladies, behold.

Poor Amy Schumer and her beau Ben Hanisch got food poisoning while on holidays in France and it got so bad, she had to be sent to hospital to recover.

Of course, their romantic trip was ruined, but it sure looks like they had fun in the hospital.

Amy Schumer has opened up about the impact the murder of two women has had on her while being interviewed for Lena Dunham's Lenny Letter this week.

Upon learning that two women had been killed by a gunman during a screening of her film Trainwreck in Louisiana in 2015, Amy admitted she struggled to come to terms with the news.

"I mean, on paper it’s like yes, of course, yes, you connect to that, two women were murdered, you know," she said.

"But knowing it was my movie, and … that they went and they bought tickets and wanted to go see this movie, it just crushed me," she admitted.

The stand-up comedian grappled with a form of guilt in the aftermath of the incident, saying: "I felt so powerless. And it felt a little bit like something that I had done, that there was a connection to me actually hurting people."

Amy recalled receiving a text from Jennifer Lawrence after the incident which she insists brought her solace the time – something which many people might struggle to understand.

"You know, that is actually when I felt the closest to Jennifer Lawrence, because that day she texted me, ‘It’s your fault,’" Amy remembered.

"And in times like that only jokes make you feel a little better," Amy explained while Lena added: "Jennifer Lawrence texting ‘It’s your fault’ is like the greatest worst thing I ever heard."

33-year-old Jillian Johnson and 21-year-old Mayci Breaux were killed by John Russel Houser in July 2015.

Amy Schumer killed it in Dublin last weekend and looking at Instagram, she had a great time roaming around the city centre too.

The comedian is touring around the world, and last night she took to the stage in Stockholm, Sweden.

She was only a few minutes into her gig (two minutes to be exact) when a man in the audience shouted at her, "Show us your tits." Lovely… Ugh.

However, Amy's reaction was just too perfect and she completely shut the guy down:

That's how it's done, ladies.

We love Amy Schumer purely because she's so hilarious, but it turns out she's a pretty sound gal too.

Amy was in Dublin this week (which sent her Irish fans into overdrive) and decided to have some grub before her show last night.

The comedian went to Doheny & Nesbitt on Baggot Street, and when leaving, left a $100 tip for the waitress.

Thank you Dublin we had the best time!

Instagram user Joey Bagnall shared a picture of Amy's receipt and $100 bill beside it.

He captioned the snap: “Big shoutout to @amyschumer for being a sound customer when I was trying to run the Cellar Bar by myself tonight and an even bigger shout out to her and her friend for managing to stomach 4 main courses!

"Your tip has made this waitresses day, maybe week. Best of luck with your show! #amyschumer.”

How sound!

While the Academy Awards looks like a fairly stuffy affair  – except for Ellen's selfie, natch – the Met Gala looks like a chance for Hollywood's biggest and brightest to have a little fun with fashion, but apparently it's not all it's cracked up to be.

Speaking on the Howard Stern Show yesterday, Amy Schumer described the event, and frankly we don't think we're that jealous of Gigi, Karlie or Zayn anymore.

Sounding like a nightmare from start to finish, the Trainwreck star revealed that the event felt like a 'punishment.

"I figured I should have been grateful I was invited or something but it felt like a punishment. It’s not me and I don’t like it," she admitted.

“I got to meet Beyoncé and she was like, ‘Is this your first Met Gala?' And I was like, ‘It’s my last’" Amy recalled.

Pouring scorn on the New York-based event and its theme, Amy ranted: "We’re dressed up like a bunch of f***ing a***holes."

"I have no interest in fashion," Amy explained. "I like the idea of coming up with a way to dress that's more comfortable, that sounds good to me, other than that I don’t care."

And if she wasn't a fan of the costumes, she was even less impressed by the guests wearing them.

Giving an insight into the Gala's dynamic, Amy continued: "It’s all so fake, It’s people doing an impression of having a conversation … I don’t like the farce."

Christ, it sounds more harrowing than the worst night out.

It's not often a celeb will cancel their OWN show, but it looks like Amy Schumer has done just that.

The comedian spent much of yesterday on Twitter, tweeting about the comments that a writer, Kurt Metzger, made about her Comedy Central show, Inside Amy Schumer.

A photo posted by @amyschumer on

Kurt was called out after making some hurtful comments about rape victims, and Amy just wasn't taking it.

She wrote: "Kurt does not work for me. He is not a writer on my show. Please stop asking me about it. His words are not mine."

A photo posted by @amyschumer on

Of course, her fans were still in uproar and asked if Kurt got fired… But Amy's response was something nobody expected.

"I didn't fire Kurt. He isn't a writer for my show because we aren't making the show anymore. There are no writers for it."

Is this goodbye?
