Inside Amy Schumer

It's not often a celeb will cancel their OWN show, but it looks like Amy Schumer has done just that.

The comedian spent much of yesterday on Twitter, tweeting about the comments that a writer, Kurt Metzger, made about her Comedy Central show, Inside Amy Schumer.

Kurt was called out after making some hurtful comments about rape victims, and Amy just wasn't taking it.

She wrote: "Kurt does not work for me. He is not a writer on my show. Please stop asking me about it. His words are not mine."

Of course, her fans were still in uproar and asked if Kurt got fired… But Amy's response was something nobody expected.

"I didn't fire Kurt. He isn't a writer for my show because we aren't making the show anymore. There are no writers for it."

Is this goodbye?

The outspoken Amy Schumer is never one to miss out on the opportunity for a good joke.

However, while Amy is perfectly fine with using her comedic skills to point out how women in Hollywood are judged for their appearance, her own body image issues have taken their toll on the star.

The 34-year old is working with Goodwill on a project that aims to inspire women to dress themselves with confidence.

She explained that it was inspired by her own insecurities related to being in the public eye:

“Some nights I just didn’t even want to go on stage because I couldn’t find an outfit I looked good in,” she told the Today Show.

Talking to Maria Shriver about the project Amy further explained that it has been a “struggle” for her for her entire life.

“Being in the entertainment industry, standing on a stage in front of people. I can’t perform my best or be confident if I’m not sure if I’m pulling at something.”

She admitted that sometimes her anxieties concerning her public appearance made her consider giving up her career:

“Sometimes I would just want to throw in the towel and say, ‘I’m not going to do stand-up tonight.’”

She said that meeting the stylist from Trainwreck, Leesa Evans, had a huge influence on her self-confidence.

“Leesa had given me this gift of showing me how to dress and feel good,” Schumer explained, tearing up.

In an emotional moment, Amy tearfully added, “To see the person I care the most about being given those tools was just really moving for me and I just wanted to give it to every woman.”
