While the warm weather may have retired this week (hopefully temporarily) the high street is definitely gearing up for summer styling.

Doireann Garrihy always gets it right in the style stakes, and one of her most recent OOTD snaps on Instagram is no exception.

Aperol Spritz in hand (don't mind if we do), Doireann's cream crêpe two-piece was instantly added to our mental wishlists.

The gorge little co-ord is from the Anne Glover X H&M collection, and has just arrived in stores nationwide.

While many of the sizes are sold out online, we had a look around town yesterday and saw plenty still in stock.

While Doireann opted for a classic look, pairing her co-ord with metallic runners and a navy top, we can think of quite a few ways to get your cost-per-wear out of the ensemble, whether you wear it together or separately.

 Shorts €22.99, and Blazer €39.99

For a night-out look, we would team the co-ord with a lime green bandeau top, delicate gold jewellery, nude barely-there heels and lashings of tan.

To keep things summery at work, we would throw the blazer over a plain white T-shirt and blue jeans, or wear the entire co-ord with a white t-shirt and white flatform runners.

For your holidays, the shorts would look divine with a black matador hat, black crop top and sandals.

Happy shopping.

Irish emigrants are once again being urged to come #HomeToVote ahead of the abortion Referendum scheduled for May 25.

As part of the campaign, the London-Irish Abortion Rights Campaign has released a two-minute video encouraging expats to return and vote in favour of repealing the Eight Amendment.

It's estimated that around 40,000 out of the 750,000 Irish people living abroad are eligible to vote. Any person living outside the country for 18 months or less can use their vote, though they must show up in person on the day.

Another short clip tweeted by London- Irish ARC featured a powerful message.

"If you’re an Irish citizen and lived in Ireland in the last 18 months, wherever you are in the world right now, you may be entitled to vote."

"On the 25th of May we’re getting a once in a generation chance to make Ireland a fairer, safer place for women. Let’s do it together. Come home to vote yes to repeal the 8th Amendment."

We saw similar scenes in 2015, when thousands of Irish citizens travelled from around the world in order to have their say in the marriage equality referendum.

A recent opinion poll conducted by The Irish Times showed a clear majority in favour of repealing the eighth amendment, 47 per cent of voters said they would vote yes, while 28 per cent said they would vote no. 20 per cent were still undecided.

We have had a Stranger Things shaped hole in our hearts ever since we finished binge-watching season two last October.

We miss Eleven, Will, Hopper and the hero of season two- Steve- a lot. However, fans were thrilled to hear that the cast has finally started filming the third instalment of the popular Netflix series.

Unfortunately, the director of Stranger Things shared a disappointing update with fans. Speaking to Collider,  series producer and director Shawn Levy revealed that the upcoming season won’t be as long as the previous two.

Season two featured nine gripping and thrilling episodes, however, season three will only feature eighth, Shawn Levy confirmed.

A post shared by Stranger Things (@strangerthingstv) on

Luckily, all is not lost, the director commented on the potential of future seasons and it looks like we’ll be watching the sci-fi horror series for quite some time.

“Season Four is definitely happening. There’s very much the possibility of a season beyond that one,” he shared.

Eleven, Joyce and co. will be returning for the thirds series, and we will also meet two new characters, with Cary Elwes joining as Mayor Kline, and Jake Busey will guest star as Bruce, a journalist for The Hawkins Post.

Series three of Stranger Things will take place during the summer of 1985. The Duffer Brothers said that the third series will focus on the gang as they tackle puberty and grapple with teenage life.

Fans will be delighted to hear that the greatest dynamic duo- Steve and Dustin- will be heavily featured in the new episodes. Their bond will be stronger than ever in series three with Shawn Levy telling Glamour, “I want to see them connect more and be more familiar with each other- like they’re brothers.”

It has been rumoured that series three will air in 2019. We cannot wait to return to Hawkins!

After Sarah Godfrey's Instagram statement regarding her past relationship with Rob Lipsett, the personal trainer and former Love Island contestant has issued a response.

Sarah told fans that she had been 'suffering in silence' during the relationship, and urged anyone feeling 'afraid or in danger in any relationship' should 'walk away and remove' themselves.

The statement caused much speculation regarding the private details of their relationship.

'It has come to my attention that my ex girlfriend of eight years Sarah Godfrey has been spreading malicious rumours and gossip concerning me and I am hurt and baffled by this betrayal,' Lipsett said, speaking to Goss.ie

'We have grown up together, shared some amazing memories and experiences and developed our careers with the help of each other.'

'I am currently trying to process our breakup and dealing with these lies and exaggerations has obviously caused me anxiety.'

A post shared by ROB LIPSETT (@roblipsett) on

'Like any couple we have had our ups and downs over the many years we spent together, but I can safely say I have treated Sarah with nothing but respect and love so it upsets me to have to come out and make a statement defending my good character under these circumstances.'

'I only wish the best for Sarah and I am sorry if she is feeling hurt or upset over our split.'

'For now I am focusing on my work. That’s all I have to say on this matter.'

Feeling comfortable with our doctors is a key to ensuring we stay healthy and happy.

If it doesn't seem like they understand us, then there's the possibility that we won't open up about ailments that keep us from being well.

A recent study from the US has revealed that women with higher body weight are especially at risk of keeping away from the doctor. This avoidance happens because of past weight stigma and discrimination these women have experienced when visiting their GPs.

The Body Image-published study surveyed over 300 women, looking at the information used to determine their body mass index (BMI), which is weight in kilograms divided by height in metres squared.

The researchers also asked the women about any times they'd experienced or felt weight stigma, body guilt, healthcare stress, body shame, and avoidance of healthcare.

Janell Mensinger, PhD, led the study coming out of Drexel University's Dornsife School of Public Health.

"What is important here is that women with higher body mass index tend to avoid healthcare and the reasons for that are often due to their experiences of weight discrimination," Mensinger, who is an associate research professor in the Dornsife School of Public Health, told Science Daily.

"We need to help healthcare professionals understand that seeing a provider is highly charged with stress and anxiety, and there are methods to reduce those feelings."

Mensinger and her team made a distinction between a 'weight inclusive approach' for doctors to use, which involves medical professionals ridding themselves of biases against patients with higher body weight, and a 'weight normative approach', which most US doctors use.

With this 'weight normative approach', doctors set benchmarks related to body size and often dispense unsolicited advice using this data.

"Weight is a data point, but that is it," Mensinger pointed out.

"Tracking how it changes might provide clues to things going on in someone's life and body, but it is much more complicated than we are made to believe."

Mensinger acknowledged that BMI is a problematic measure, as many others have noted. However, it was referenced in this study because doctors still use it as an indicator of health.

"We worked in the reality of what is happening, not what should be happening," she said, "Of course, we wish BMI were not considered, but the aim of this study was to understand the mechanisms connecting an existing relationship that has long been established in healthcare settings."

The study found that the higher women's BMIs, the more they tended to avoid visiting the doctor.

"Experiences of weight stigma often lead to self-directed stigma," Mensinger observed, "Self-directed stigma tends to lead to body-related shame and guilt, which then leads to stress regarding the healthcare encounter. And people who are stressed about the encounters tend to avoid them."

In relation to how women are treated based on their BMIs, a 'weight normative approach' posits that BMIs of 25 or above are considered 'overweight'. Based on this, doctors often give unsolicited lifestyle advice.

Those with BMIs of 30 or more are recommended exercise regiments and calorie-restricted diets, with assumptions made about their level of activity and what they are eating.

Mensinger believes that the continued use of this approach is proving more harmful than helpful.

With this in mind, she stated, "We're talking about a vulnerable population and we're putting them at a greater risk. We need to be aware of these system-level problems that are keeping people from going to appointments that would be saving lives."

And while this study took place in the US, there is no doubt women around the world have felt this issue personally, as a stigma against higher body weight persists in many cultures.

Sarah Godfrey and Rob Lipsett appeared to have the perfect Instagram relationship.

From the gym to the white beaches of the Maldives, their comments sections were littered with the hashtag #couplegoals.

However, the couple split a number of weeks ago, and Sarah took to her Instagram stories to make a statement.

I am no longer in a relationship and won’t be commenting on the reasons I was forced to end the relationship because of the seriousness of the situation,' Sarah wrote.

Telling her fans she had been 'suffering in silence,' she continued:

'All I will say is, you should never feel afraid or in danger in any relationship and the second that does happen it is time to walk away and remove yourself.'

A post shared by Sarah Godfrey (@sarah_godfrey_) on

'Thank you to everyone for your kind messages and continued support and to my close friends and family for helping me through this difficult time.'

'I would now like to move forward and leave the past in the past and focus on myself and my future.'

The couple have unfollowed one another on Instagram and have removed their online association with one another by deleting recent pictures.

While Kim Cattrall may have felt she had a 'toxic relationship' with her Sex and the City co-stars, as she previously told Piers Morgan, Sarah Jessica Parker does not feel the same.

'I’d just like to remind everybody that there is no catfight," the actress best known as Carrie Bradshaw told Vulture.

She emphasised the fact that there were four of them, her and Kim as well as Cynthia Nixon (Miranda) and Kristin Davis (Charlotte). This wasn't a case of two divas fighting on set.

A post shared by instylemagazine (@instylemagazine) on

"I also want to remind everybody that there were four women on the set and I spent equal time with all of them, so this was not a set with two women who didn’t get along.

"I’ve always held Kim’s work in high regard and always appreciative of her contributions."

Later on, she added, "But, no, there is no catfight, there never has been a catfight. I’ve never fought with someone publicly in my life, nor would I."

The Hocus Pocus actress also touched on Sex and the City 3. Kim had noted before that she felt she had blame unfairly placed on her for the film being cancelled because she chose not to reprise her role as Samantha.

"If she chooses not to do the third movie, there’s not a lot I can do to change her mind and we must respect it," Sarah shared, "That’s the only thing I’ve ever said about it, you know?

"The three of us have shared our disappointment that we’re not making that movie, not just on our behalf but our crew, but also just the people that have been vocal about wanting to see it."

However, all is not lost! The story of our favourite New Yorkers could return – albeit in a slightly different form.

The 53-year-old said, "So whether we choose to revisit it at another time and reimagine that story — that’s something Michael and I just haven’t talked about yet, that doesn’t mean we won’t, but we haven’t at this time."

Fingers crossed we get to see the ladies back together! We will sorely miss Samantha's presence though, and her hilarious stream of innuendos.

Sarah reflected that, despite some of the public controversy between her and Kim in recent months, she will always be proud of the work they did together:

"We are enormously proud of what we got to do and I don’t want someone sharing thoughts publicly, which is Kim’s right to do and that is what it is, but we spent 10, 12 years of our life doing something that I really loved and I feel privileged to be part of and I don’t want this to eclipse it or change its experience for that audience that was so good to us for so long."

So, if you've ever been cheated on you'll know all to well the toll it can take on your general wellbeing.

Sad, lonely, hurt and confused, you'll ask yourself if it was something you did?

Of course the answers is no, and according to a new study, even asking yourself this question could be effecting you physically as well as mentally.

Researchers from the University of Nevada, Reno, surveyed 232 third-level students who had been cheated in the last three months, with the aim of finding out how their behaviours and mental health had been affected by their partners infidelity.

Speaking to PsyPost, M. Rosie Shrout, lead author of the study, explained, “We wanted to know if this emotional and psychological distress leads them to engage in risky health behaviours, such as unprotected sex, drug use, alcohol use, binge eating, or not eating at all.”

She added, “We were also interested in whether perceptions of blame played a role in their psychological distress and risky health behaviours.”

Results found that having an unfaithful partner can significantly affect your behaviour, your view of cheating and above all, your ability to trust.

Researchers also found that those who are worse effected are more likely to turn to alcohol and drugs, or develop eating disorders.

“Being cheated on seems to not only have mental health consequences, but also increases risky behaviours,” Shrout said.

“We also found that people who blamed themselves for their partner cheating, such as feeling like it was their fault or they could have stopped it, were more likely to engage in risky behaviours.”

It seems that damaged self-esteem may lower ones inhibitions toward risky behaviours, which may ultimately lead to poor physical and mental health.

However, it's important to note that the average age of participants was 20-years-old, meaning the results may be different for older age groups.
