The Minister of Business, Heather Humphreys wants to introduce a law for a minimum expiry date on gift cards.

The Minister's proposal needs government approval to put a minimum of a five-year expiry date on the popular gift.

Retailers currently can make their own policies surrounding the expiry date.

Depending on the place, this can be six months, a year and some consumers even experience monthly deductions for unused credit, according to the Independent.ie.

This isn't the first time a proposal of this kind has been put forward.

Former Minister, Richard Bruton wanted to legislate the area in 2015.

However, the Independent.ie reports that the Government held off, with expectations of the European Union addressing the problem and introducing laws in the sector.

Consumer groups have previously vocalised their desire for legislation surrounding gift card's expiry dates.

The Independent.ie alleged that a source told the media outlet that Ms Humphrey's proposal is in an "advanced" stage.

Taking to Twitter, the Minister confirmed her intentions of putting forward the new Irish regulation.

It is understood that she will address the Government within the coming weeks about the plan.

The European Commission in 2015 announced that they had intentions of launching two directives in the area.

This meant Bruton's law was side-lined as the Government thought it wouldn't be beneficial to introduce the law here, to have it amended by EU directives later on.

Ariana Grande reveals that she has suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in light of the Manchester attacks.

Just over a year later, she opened up to British Vogue about the aftermath of the fateful night.

The singer said she felt guilty for having the disorder due to the 22 people who lost their lives after her concert.

"It’s hard to talk about because so many people have suffered such severe, tremendous loss. But, yeah, it’s a real thing," said the 24-year-old.

Ariana continued to explain that she can't even talk about that night without crying.

"I know those families and my fans, and everyone there experienced a tremendous amount of it as well. Time is the biggest thing.

'I feel like I shouldn’t even be talking about my own experience—like I shouldn’t even say anything. I don’t think I’ll ever know how to talk about it and not cry,” she added.

On May 22, 2017, sadly 22 people lost their lives and a further 59 were injured when the singer's concert was targeted by terrorists.

To mark the one year anniversary of the incident, the pop-star took to Twitter saying:

"Thinking of you all today and every day I love you with all of me and am sending you all of the light and warmth I have to offer on this challenging day."

The artist also honoured the victims by getting a tattoo of the bee, which has been a symbol for Manchester since the 1800s and gained popularity after the attacks.

The bee was often seen along with slogans "we stand together", "no fear here", and "unity is strength".

H&M has officially made shopping trips easier by making their UK sizes bigger after years of backlash from customers about their tiny sizing.

We all know that finding the right size can be quite the daunting task. It can be a draining experience that often knocks our self-confidence.

Our size varies from store to store, you could fit into a size 10 top in one place, but need a size 14 in another.

Finally, after years of negative comments from customers about their extremely small clothes, H&M will now sell clothes that match UK measurements.
A spokesperson for H&M told HuffPost: “Following customer feedback, we are taking the steps to change our womenswear measurements to be in line with the UK sizing, for example, the previous measurements and fit of a size 12 will now be the measurements of a size 10.”

This means clothes that were once labelled a size 14 will now be labelled a size 12.

Customers have noticed a massive difference between H&M’s clothing sizes and other high street stores, which made shopping in the store trickier for many women.

The Swedish clothing company explained that their clothing sizes followed European measurements rather than UK ones.

This is a huge step forward for the clothing store, and it is bound to make shopping experiences a hell of a lot more easier from now on.

Love Island returned to our screens last night, and while Twitter was awash with jokes about pens, medical careers and veneers, another corner of the Love Island hashtag was talking body diversity.

A few viewers pointed out that for yet another season, ITV had failed to cast any islanders with realistic or diverse body shapes.

Dubbed 'unattainable Instagram models' the cast consists of petite female contestants and ripped, six-pack laden male entrants.

Geordie Shore star Holly Hagan, who has admitted to her own use of plastic surgery, was one of the first to call out the lack of diversity.

'I wonder if there will ever be anyone remotely curvy in Love Island' she wrote on Twitter.

The discussion exploded, with many viewers agreeing with Holly about the lack of representation for various figures, ethnicities and abilities.

However, not everyone agreed with Love Island bringing on 'average' contestants.

'Seeing people on here slate love island for not getting curvy or imperfect people on there n I totally disagree, there's plenty of similar shows out there for normal people but this one is for sexy people and that's its thing,' one man tweeted.

'Everybody is ok slagging the girls in the love island villa, saying they’re ‘too skinny’ and ‘need to eat a burger’ and we ‘need some curves in there’ but if there was one slightly curvy girl and someone made one comment everyone would go mad lol works both ways man,' said another.

According to Deadline, Reese Witherspoon is in talks with MGM about reprising her role as the delightful lawyer.

Reese Witherspoon and most of the original creative team are set to return for Legally Blonde 3, with the Big Little Lies star producing the film under her production company Hello Sunshine.

It is believed that Kirsten Smith and Karen McCullah Lutz, who wrote the original screenplay, are also in final talks to pen the script for the third Legally Blonde film.

They have yet to disclose the plot, but we’re sure it’ll be just as good as the first two movies.

It looks like Legally Blonde 3 has its star, scriptwriters, and producers, and the next step is finding a director, who is ready to take on this beloved franchise.

17 years have passed since we first met the heartwarming Elle Woods and her popularity has only skyrocketed since then. The original film was a box office hit raking in over $141 million and is now a classic favourite of women around the planet.

The original movie is based on the book Legally Blonde by Amanda Brown, which was published in 2001.

The story is actually based on the novelist’s own experiences while enrolled in Stanford Law School.

There has been no official information on the plot of Legally Blonde 3, but apparently, the movie will revolve around female empowerment.

72-year-old television presenter Anne Robinson has given her opinion on sexual harassment in the workplace.

Speaking to Radio Times magazine, the long-time journalist said that women needed to accept that workplaces are 'sexually treacherous.'

She reflected on the harassment she has dealt with in the past, and how women are dealing with it now.

A post shared by BBC The One Show (@bbctheoneshow) on

'Workplaces are politically and sexually treacherous and I’m afraid women do have to accept that,' she said, according to The Guardian

'You have a choice. Do I get off the train and spend my life complaining and making a fuss or do I stay on the train and make sure it never happens to me again?'

'I always chose the latter but maybe I’m just a different sort of warrior.'

A post shared by BBC (@bbc) on

'Having passed on the warrior baton that enabled women to become prime ministers and heads of city institutions, it transpires they we’re still having to put up with inappropriate behaviour from men while not doing anything about it.'

'I’m starting to feel like it’s going to take another 100 years to get true equality.I’m still not sure that younger women have worked out what they want.'

Last year, Anne controversially told BBC Radio 4’s Today programme that she felt women had developed a 'fragility' when it came to workplace sexual harassment.

'In the early days, 40 years ago, there were very few of us women in power and, I have to say, we had a much more robust attitude to men behaving badly,' she said at the time. according to Irish News.

'Now what seems to have happened, the glass ceiling has been shattered but running alongside that is a sort of fragility amongst women who aren’t able to cope with the treachery of the workplace.'

We're thinking that men need to adjust their behaviour rather than women getting tougher, but a public figure opening the topic of workplace harassment up for discussion could be a good thing.
