Hold up…Hozier is back in the game?!

After four long years of waiting, the musical god has finally released new music, and it is AMAZING!

The new EP, titled Nina Cried Power was released last night after much awaited anticipation, and it was definitely worth the wait.

The new album has four songs total: Nina Cried Power, NFWB (Nothing Fucks With My Baby), Moment’s Silence (Common Tongue), and Shrike.

The Wicklow native has continued to embody the classic Irish theme of dark and tainted love. His haunting voice beautifully slips above the songs’ catchy beats, pulling us back in once again with his new music.

Nina Cried Power features American gospel legend Mavis Staples (Oh Happy Day singer), adding a soulful twist on Hozier’s original sound.

NFWB, on the other hand, sounds like something off the Vampire Diaries' soundtrack as torment and darkness ooze from an obsessive partner.

If you’re desperate for a more upbeat tune, Moment’s Silence has a beat you can’t help tapping your foot to. The guitar twang and rhythmic clapping will have you bobbing your head along for the whole song.

Things slow down as Shrike takes us on a journey about hipster lovers. If you need a good cry, this song is the perfect fix, full of lost hope and missed opportunity. This song is classic Hozier.

Lucky fans get to see Andrew Hozier Byrne rehearse his new album in The Academy tonight for his final Dublin performance, and we’ll be hoping that the passionate singer will bless us with a few new hits.

But for those of us mere mortals, who could not get tickets before the charity concert sold-out, thank god we have Spotify.

So, check out his new EP today. You won’t be disappointed.

Ayda revealed that having their third child wasn’t an easy journey for her or Robbie: “It has been a very long and difficult path to get here, which is why we have kept it on the down low.”

She explained that baby Colette was born via surrogacy: “Family comes in all forms, and this little lady, who is biologically ours, was carried by an incredible surrogate mother, to whom we will be eternally grateful.”

Ayda and Robbie are thrilled to have welcomed another child into their family.

“We are over the moon to have this beautiful baby girl in our lives and so blessed that we live in a world which makes this possible,” the mum-of-three added.

“As with Teddy and Charlie, we ask that you respect Coco’s privacy and allow us to grow into our new team of 5!” the X Factor judge said.

We are over the moon for Robbie and Ayda and their growing family. Talk about the best surprise ever.

Louise Cooney never fails to slay in the style department, but one of her most recent looks caught our eye.

Her classic style and taste for tailoring comes into it's own in the autumnal months, and a very pretty jumper she rocked over on Instagram has just become our must have piece.

Snuggled up outside a coffee shop, Louise showcased a stunning cream roll neck jumper with baggy sleeves gathered at the wrists – and we love it.

A staple piece can sometimes set you back big bucks, but this River Island piece is only €47.00, a pretty good bargain for a classic piece.

The part mohair jumper looks super soft and cosy, and we wish it was available in more colours.

However, the staple cream shade makes it seriously versatile, and can be worn with pretty much anything.

Cream roll neck knit jumper €47.00

Louise teamed hers with a plaid skirt and ankle boots with bare legs, but we would love to see it tucked in to a leather skirt with tights and boots, or with a denim skirt and comfortable runners.

It would also look gorge thrown over skinny jeans and some layered, dainty necklaces for a Sunday brunch, or go all out and tuck it into a pair of new season embellished flares.

Best of all, this piece is timeless, so no matter what items come and go that you pair it with, the jumper itself will always be a classic.

Iceland's plan behind this new line was to give people an option to cook like they would meat, but to get in all those plant-based foods without sacrificing the taste or texture.

This new vegan range is a part of Iceland’s innovative pledge, which will see the removal of palm oil from their own food labels by the end of this year.

It's a serious win-win!

There is nothing quite like a holiday – first we have all the planning, which can be semi-stressful but oh so satisfying.

Then the lead up, the packing and the scrolling through Instagram at the location tag wishing you were there already. Finally theres the actual trip – the cocktails, the beach, the sun and the relaxation.

The aftermath is also beneficial, you get to come back to work feeling well rested and with a spring in your step – however, taking time off work for a vacay can do much more than elevate your mood and outlook on life.

In fact, having a nice long holiday from work can add years to your life expectancy, according to a new study.

As if we needed an excuse, but the study, published in the Journal of Nutrition, Health and Ageing, suggests a reasonably strong connection exists between time off and a later mortality rate.

1,222 middle-aged male executives in Finland, born between 1919 and 1934, were studied over a whopping 40 year period

The participants recorded when they were going on vacations from work throughout the study.

Many of the original participants have since passed away, and the data they left behind is pretty damn interesting.

Within the group, men that took three weeks or less annual holiday days had a 37% higher risk of dying between 1974 and 2004 than those who took more time off.

The men who contributed to the data were healthy, with regular check ups and limited health issues, and it seems that their healthy lifestyles combined with adequate time off work to truly relax on holidays benefited them astronomically.

So, if you're lucky enough to have paid vacation time, you better be taking it.

It's 2018, women (and men) have been dying their hair,. shaping their eyebrows, enhancing their features with makeup and contouring their cheeks for eras, and yet there is still judgement against those who opt for a more permanent aesthetic alteration.

The use of fillers has been steadily on the rise for years, with big name celebs like Kylie Jenner and her clan rocking huge, pouty lips like a latest Gucci bag.

However, when Geordie Shore OG turned makeup mogul Charlotte Crosby posted a recent picture of her very plump lips, the hate was harsh.

'You are everything that is wrong with the modern women serious. Imagine what your gonna look like come 40,' one wreck-the-head wrote.

'Always loved you Charlotte, but no more work on face. You are naturally beautiful,' said another.

Charlotte was having absolutely none of the negative comments, clapping back to one of her haters with a savage: 'your face must be perfect seen as your Dp is a pic of your MUT' (sic

She also made a slightly NSFW comment saying: 'And before you all start complaining about MY LIPS! Yes they are big, that’s how I like them.'

'And they look great around my BOYFRIENDS DICK so bore off with your predictable comments.'

Ehhhhh TMI Charlotte but whatever floats your boat.

It seems that every day, another company is trying to become more environmentally-aware and it's fab.

The latest to make new moves towards helping our world be a better place is the leading beer company, Carlsberg.

They obvs use a lot of wrapping and plastic in their six-packs, but no more!

What's the solution, so?

Recyclable glue!

From now on, the cans will be held together by this glue – pretty cool right?

When the new multi-pack of beer cans arrive, it will be a world first and it is set to cut back the Danish brewer’s use of plastic to package by more than 75%.

Called “Snap Packs”, they have spent three years in development and are strong enough to make it unscathed from shelf to home, but will break when twisted.

Brits will be the lucky ones to debut the eco-friendly packaging innovation as Carlsberg has chosen the UK market, as it consumes 30% of its beer yearly.

The World Wildlife Fund (WWF), is a big fan of this new development and has hailed it as a “big step” in efforts to tackle the deteriorating situation regarding plastic pollution.

The company will reduce its plastic use by 1,200 tonnes a year, i.e. 60 million plastic bags once the ''Snap Packs'' are rolled out.

As the plastic rings can trap birds and animals, this issue is serious.

Bo Oksnebjerg, secretary-general of WWF Denmark said in a press release that, ”our wildlife is drowning in plastic. We, therefore, need to act now. We need less plastic to end up in nature. That is why we consider it huge progress that Carlsberg is now launching solutions that significantly reduce the amount of plastic in its packaging.”

So, we can now buy a six-pack of beer without harming the environment?

Count us right in.

The world was stunned by the sudden death of Dolores O’Riordan in the January of this year. The Cranberries singer was found dead in her hotel room in London, however, no cause of death was confirmed at the time of her passing.

An inquest has found that the Zombie singer died by drowning due to alcohol intoxication.

The 46-year-old was laid to rest at her hometown in Limerick. Thousands gathered to pay their respects.

The Irish musician’s mum Eileen thanked the public for their constant support at the time of her death: “We want to thank all the people of Limerick who have remembered Dolores this week. The people who queued to sign the book of condolence – some of them standing in the rain – it has meant a huge amount to us and has been a great source of comfort.”
