Many of us focus on celebrities in the spotlight.

Their silky, flowing hair, flawless complexion, designer clothes and sparkling blink makes us all a tad jealous, whether we like to admit it or not.

It's easy to get caught up with them – but what we forget about ALL the time, is that they have a team of people behind them.

They have make-up artists, hairdressers, skin specialists, stylists and social media experts  with them in every move they make.

Not many celebrities remind us about this side of their lives, except for Blake Lively, who wants to teach her daughters that 'perfection' is a myth.

Speaking to Refinery29, the Gossip Girl alum addressed unfair beauty standards that seem to be enforced onto women in this day and age.

"What you're seeing on red carpets and in magazines takes a lot of effort and a lot of people.

A post shared by Blake Lively (@blakelively) on

"People don't understand that it's all very constructed, [and] what little girls are seeing isn't what [celebrities] look like when they wake up in the morning – even though it's no less beautiful."

Blake goes on to say that her perception totally changed when she had children and that she doesn't want her two daughters to grow up in an unrealistic world.

"There's this awareness of what they're going to be exposed to and what they grow up seeing.

A post shared by Blake Lively (@blakelively) on

"For me, it's important for my daughters to know that it's not real life. They're seeing me dressed up in all this hair and make-up, but they also see me without that.

"I want them to see both sides, because there is never just one side."

Many of us, whether it's a celebrity or that gorgeous girl next door, try to keep up with the standards that society impose on us.

And while it's all well and good to look your best, we shouldn't be putting ourselves under that much pressure, when we have so much more to offer other than our looks.

While we all love pizza, we're not sure that we love the fast food enough to justify having it symbolise our engagement.

However, to each their own, and Domino's have released a limited edition Domino's pizza slice engagement ring, perfect for the pepperoni lover in your life.

The ring was available to win (for UK and Northern Ireland residents only, sadly) by competition only over Valentine's Day on the Domino's UK Facebook page.

“We’re constantly innovating to make our customers’ lives easier – and our new pizza engagement ring is the ultimate gift for someone planning to pop the question this February 14," a Domino's spokesperson told Scotsman Food and Drink.

The one-of-a-kind ring features a single pizza slice speckled with little diamond pepperoni on a gold band.

We're not sure how we'd feel if someone proposed to us with a pizza ring, but for any hard core Domino's lovers, it would work like a charm.

All this talk of pizza is making us pretty hungry….

So, Professor Green trolled Instagram yesterday, and it looks like some of his fans and followers are struggling to see the logic behind this one.

In what appears to be a dig at the speculation which surrounds his burgeoning relationship with model Fae Williams, the British rapper decided to share a series of shots which suggested he had popped that all-important question.

Except he didn't, and apparently the joke is on us.

So, it all kicked off last night when good ol' Green shared a snap of some serious bling accompanied by the post: "Happy Valentine's Fae Williams."

Unsurprisingly, that was enough to set Insta off, but it didn't end there as the singer then shared a snap of Fae sporting the ring on her engagement finger.

With what appeared to be a reference to his former marriage to Millie Mackinstosh, he wrote: "Fingers crossed this time ay."

The post was flooded with congratulations from fans who had assumed the star had proposed to his new girlfriend.

"Congratulations to you both! She is a lucky lady! Wishing you all the luck in the world! You deserve it," wrote one.

Over the course of the next three hours, it seems Instagram was all over the news when Professor Green suddenly decided to swoop in and set the record straight.

Sharing a snap of himself rocking the ring on his baby finger, the rapper wrote: "Engaged to myself. Wait a minute, wrong finger."

And Instagram was left feeling a little shortchanged.

Engaged to myself. Wait a minute, wrong finger.

"You're being embarrassing now are you 5 or are you engaged?" wrote one follower while another added: "Respect has now dropped."

Thankfully for the Just Be Good to Green singer, some of his fans were on hand to help explain the apparent point of his posts.

"Can people not clearly see that @professorgreen has done this to get everyone talking about him and to make the press look like tossers?" remarked one.

Well, it definitely worked.

Body positivity has come on leaps and bounds in the past few years, with curvy girls gaining more and more representation in fashion and media.

However, some women still feel the pressure to conform to perceived societal beauty ideals, and shapewear can come in handy when you want to smooth out any lumps and bumps.

While there is nothing wrong in wearing some Bridget Jones knickers to smooth out your tummy, some women find them horribly uncomfortable, and wish to accept their bodies without the help of some stretchy underwear.

A post shared by Olivia (@selfloveliv) on

One such woman is Birmingham-based body acceptance advocate Olivia, who goes by Self Love Liv on Instagram, who just posted a photo showcasing her body with and without shapewear.

"Do you know how uncomfortable these things are? Breathing was not an option! I felt tight, uncomfortable and restricted in the first photo," she captioned the snap.

"The relief of taking them off was amazing," she continued.

A post shared by Olivia (@selfloveliv) on

"You don't NEED them. I feel totally fine in the second photo, and I can breathe again!"

The post has gained over 33,000 thousand likes on Instagram, all from people who appreciate Liv's stance on shapewear.

It's all about embracing yourself as you are, with or without the control pants.

There are plenty of problems going on in the world to focus on, but playing into the self-absorbed stereotype of a millennial, we've highlighted some of the most modern issues affecting young people today.

While these are definitely giving us major "first world problem" vibes, they are still some of the more irritating day-to-day problems a millennial can have.

1. Forgetting to take a pic of your food.

Image result for food

What a disaster, you ordered the most photogenic, beautiful brunch imaginable and tucked into it straight away, forgetting to snap a picture for Snapchat and Instagram.

There is no going back from this one, the only option is to order another portion….

2. The parental friend request

Image result for parents funny

At what age is it no longer embarrassing to be friends with your parents on Facebook? Or was it ever even embarrassing in the first place and was that just a teenage hang up?

Either way, there are photo albums from a few years ago that we will definitely be setting to private.

3. What filter though?

Image result for xx pro or valencia

The struggle is real when it comes to choosing the ultimate Instagram picture.

It can make the difference between a blazing, like-worthy sunset or a "meh" snap of the skyline. Choose wisely.

4. The dreaded forgetting of the smartphone.

Image result for gossip girl texting

We all know one or two people who literally couldn't survive unless their iPhone was glued to their hand, and admittedly, those days where you forget your smart phone at home are pretty difficult.

Like what are you supposed to do at the bus stop if you can simultaneously listen to Spotify, swipe on Tinder and look up the bus times?

5. Cursing the housing crisis/ job market/ state of current affairs

Image result for womens march

Millennials get a lot of slack for being self absorbed and unaware of what's going on in their communities and the wider world, but with social media being such a vital part of sharing information, millennials actually get super involved in causes they care about.

Be it engaging with the Repeal Project, marching for women's rights, donating to Apollo House or highlighting the rental crisis and day to day struggle to secure full time employment, millennials are not afraid to be vocal about issues in their lives.

6. That friend that snapchats everything

Image result for snapchat everything

In a world where Snapchat can propel you to super stardom, some of our pals can get a little too snap happy.

Fair enough, take a few snaps of your outfit, your night out or your holidays, but chatting to the camera for extended periods and snapping the intimate moments of your life can just be too much.

7. Accidently liking your ex's new girlfriend's picture from 48 weeks ago

Image result for nooooooo funny

This is not a drill, being caught on a major creeping spree is never a good look.

One way to minimise the damage is to unlike the picture instantly and instead scroll back to the top and like the most recent picture.

Sure, they will still know you were on their page but you will definitely look like less of a stalker.

8. That Tinder life

Image result for tinder funny

Tinder is the technological equivalent of speed dating, and if you're single, it's highly likely that you delete and then re download the app at least once a month.

The struggle of swiping left for hours to uncover one gem is seriously real.

9. Running out of data

Image result for not okay funny

You never realise how much you actually rely on those magical bars of data floating around in the air until you run out.

Then access to the bus times, listening to music, contacting your mates and looking up the necessary day-to-day stuff that needs Googling becomes a thing of the past.

One teenage disco in Kilkenny has been getting a lot of heat this week, since they posted a decree to Facebook telling girls that they were not welcome at the disco if they chose to wear "deplorable dresses."

The Fusion Ball is a long-standing teenage event in Kilkenny town, and the popular venue has recently banned short dresses and cleavage after "too many broke the rules," and said that all they want is for "girls to be discreet."

They completed the Facebook post with screen grabs of popular dress styles from online stores, using the garments as examples of what will "NOT be accepted" on the night.

However, it was the comment section which caught our eye, as people responded in the best possible ways to the dress code.

Most commentators weren't happy with the attempt to police their wardrobe choices, and responded to that effect.

"What does discreet even mean in clothing? No shape? No outline? No indication of female anatomy or boobs? What are you even asking for… just say knee length if you want a dress code that makes some sense," said one.

Here's a few more of our favourite responses:

1. "I've ordered this instead do you think its ok?"

2. "If the dress is just like these I'd say you'll be grand Aoife."

3. "Good thing lads can still wear what they want, I'll be showing plenty of thigh."

4.  "Anyone looking for a ball dress? Pm me for details xx"

5. More outfit ideas that fit the description.

However, some people agree with the discretion clause, and feel that the venue is doing the right thing by encouraging girls to be modest.

"Glad to see that an event cares enough to speak out and make known that class and dress code still exists. Standards need to be set and maintained," said one.

"There's a difference when you're a teenager showing amounts of skin an escort wouldn't show. It's just about teaching class and self respect to show girls they don't need to expose themselves to look pretty and have fun," said another.

However, the majority of the comments were negative.

"I personally think this is very sexist against women to freely wear what they please what they feel comfortable in! This is 2017 not the 1950s women are not sexual objects you can't treat us like that by telling us what to hide because your uncomfortable seeing us wearing a dress that shows skin!" said another young woman.

We all know if you want to see famous people flaunting their wares, you rock up to Instagram.

But if you want to see famous people brawl it out amongst each other, you head right on over to Twitter.

And if there are two people capable of attracting a crowd within the Twitosphere, it's JK Rowling and Piers Morgan.

Considering that there's no love lost between the author and the Britain's Got Talent judge, JK decided to set a trap for the journalist, and it went down a storm among her followers.

Sharing a screenshot of a very flattering article which was penned abour her, JK wrote: "Just been sent this! Could the writer let me know who he is? I'd love to thank him. #Valentine's."

Wasting no time calling JK out for sharing the complimentary piece, Piers retweeted the author, writing: "Priceless #humblebrag BS."

"Nobody plays the celebrity game more abusively or ruthlessly than you, Ms Intensively Private Billionaire'.

And the kicker?

Piers himself had written the gushing prose way back in 2010… and there was no way in hell Twitter was going to let this one go.

"Hook, like and sinker, " wrote one while another added: "You do realise you wrote this and that's the joke?"

"I don't think it has quite dawned on him that he wrote this sycophantic tripe for the mail 6 years ago," remarked another

Piers, it might be time to admit defeat on this one.

18-year-old Shauntelle Tynan from Carlow made a heart-wrenching plea via viral video for funding for her rare form of cancer, and in 36 hours the remaining funding was raised.

The total came to €675,155, above and beyond the necessary €500,000.

Shan was diagnosed with multi-system Langheran’s cell histiocytosis in May 2015, and since then, her community has been funding her specialist treatment at theTexas Children’s Hospital.

In the video, which has been viewed over 50,000 times, the teen explained how her disorder is unable to be treated in the EU and Ireland due to a lack of knowledge about the type of cancer, so she must seek help from a specialist in Texas, which means she does not qualify for the HSE’s Treatment Abroad Scheme.

The Carlow teen took to Facebook to profusely thank everyone who has donated to her cause, which may very well save her life.

"The last 38 hours has been a place of love and the people of Ireland have truly came together to help me get better and for that I'm truly thankful. There has been few haters but millions of lovers and each person showing positivity helps us through each day and we are truly over the moon," she said.

"The good always outshines the bad and I now have a true chance at beating this and it is all down to all who shared, commented and donated. I am so excited for my little brother and sister to come home from school to hear that I have made enough to go to Texas."

The teen has been documenting her treatment and lifestyle on YouTube for the past year, but the latest video pushed the public into action and secured the final funding for her treatment.

The funds were raised by 26,872 people over the last 5 months, but many of the donations came in since her video went viral.

“We thought there was a virus or something wrong because every time we looked at the Go Fund Me it was just going up. There was just thousands and thousands,” she told the Irish Times.

In case you were wondering what happened to "Hot Felon" Jeremy Meeks' modelling career since he was released from prison, we can tell you that he just made his runway debut at New York Fashion Week.

The bona fide babe became an internet sensation after his mug shot went viral three years ago.

A post shared by JEREMY MEEKS (@jmeeksofficial) on

The online attention earned him a lucrative modelling contract with White Cross Management before he was even released, and according to his Instagram, the gorgeous model is doing pretty well for himself.

While he father-of-three has starred in a few shoots since his release, he has earned a major modelling accolade by walking in his first fashion show.

The felon kicked off his high fashion career by opening the Philipp Plein show at the New York Public Library in the Big Apple this week, and looked like an absolute babe while doing so.

"Big thanks to @philippplein78 for believing in me… Last night was epic!" said the model, captioning a snap from the show on his Instagram page.

The Californian felon was detained in a Nevada prison for felony weapon charges in 2014, but received over 100,000 likes after his mug shot was posted to Stockton Police Department's Facebook page. shooting him into the stratosphere of online fame.

This definitely wont be the last we see of Meeks on the catwalk, and we couldn't commend him more for turning his life around.

Last Friday, The Late Late Show held a Valentine's Day special… which received hundreds of complaints.

The format of the show saw singletons in the audience being paired up, as well as Al Porter and Linda Martin perform a musical number together.

Cringey to say the least, but that's what happens when Irish people and love mix.

But now, Ryan Tubridy has hit back at the haters, saying "the headlines bely the success of [the] show.

"The show actually went down very well and it got 46 percent share which is enormous and which is a very, very good result indeed," he told his RTE Radio 1 listeners.

"Yes of course a number of people complained but actually bigger numbers watched it and seemed to enjoy it and the story that seems to have emerged from that programme is that, well to me, it's a tale of two Irelands.

"One Ireland is full of under 50s who thought it was a hoot and another Ireland full of over 50s who thought a little less of it in that sense."

He went on to say that everyone has their preferences, and the whole nation won't always like the same thing.

"The bottom line is we do 37 Late Late shows in a season, one we go bananas and that was Friday night and it was great fun.

"In another we play with toys and we act like children and that goes down very well indeed.

"And another one coming up down the tracks will be the country show and some people will hate that because they don't like country and some people will love it because they love country," he added.

We have so much love for these two anyway, but they really sealed that deal on being the best couple ever today.

The Obamas have always been quite open about their love for each other, but they furthered that today with beautifully sappy Valentine's Day messages.

Both sharing photos on Twitter, Barack was the first one to gush about his spouse, writing: "Happy Valentine's Day, @michelleobama! Almost 28 years with you, but it always feels new."

AWWW.

Michele was next, posting a picture of their feet in the sand and captioning it: "Happy Valentine's day to the love of my life and favourite island mate, @BarackObama."

It's going to be hard to beat these two in the love department.
