The older we get, the more importance we place on understanding and listening to the internal workings of our body.

Long gone are the days when we focus solely on the aesthetic, and nowadays take the time to educate ourselves on the various factors which influence and impact on our general wellbeing.

But that doesn't mean we don't need reminding of certain tips and tricks which will ensure we're fuelling our bodies… properly.

Let's take a look at just some of the ways you can keep on top of things with our simple S-plan.

Snack

It's vital you keep your metabolism ticking over by regularly snacking on energy-producing foods like nuts and seeds.

Ditch energy drinks in favour of slow-releasing snacks which will fuel your body for longer.

Properly fuelling your body means you ensure it never lapses into starvation mode because you've neglected to keep the fire burning.

Sleep

Everyone knows what it feels like to spend the day plodding aimlessly through an insomnia-induced fog.

The toll sleep-deprivation takes on your general wellbeing cannot be overestimated, so if you're serious about fuelling your body properly, it's high-time you prioritise sleep.

Less sleep, less energy; simple as.

Sip

Water isn't just for chugging after a work-out, it's a tool you need on the regular to ensure the proper upkeep of your body.

Water maintains the balance of body fluids, energises muscles, assists organ function and gives you energy.

Fuelling your body properly means opting for water over a frantic caffeine-fix.

Supplement

Sometimes our bodies simply don't produce the necessary amount of minerals and trace elements which we need to function at our best.

When our cells don't operate or communicate with each other efficiently, we begin to feel run-down which is a sure sign we need help on the fuelling front.

Cellnutrition's Quinton contains 78 minerals and trace elements that the body needs, in the correct proportions for them to work together harmoniously. It is a 100% natural and bioavailable supplement which is readily absorbed into your body and, ultimately, works to fuel your body from the inside out.

And… school yourself

When it comes to your wellbeing, it's important to remember to regularly educate yourself on the various ways you can stay feeling in tip-top shape.

Approaches which worked in your early twenties may need a switch-up in your late twenties, so it's all about listening to your body and schooling yourself on the tips and tricks you can use to ensure you stay fit, fulfilled and, most importantly, fuelled.

There's been quite a few TV shows over the past few months that have totally blown us away.

One of those TV shows was Stranger Things.

And one of the main reasons the series was so successful was because of this superstar; Millie Bobby Brown.

The 13-year-old played the role of Eleven in the sci-fi drama, and richly deserved the award she took home from the MTV Movie and TV Awards last night.

While accepting her Best Actor in a Show gong, Millie made quite an emotional speech.

"First of all I want to thank everyone that voted and especially MTV…I want to think the cast and crew for being my second family. I love you."

Millie then began to get teary-eyed as she thanked the special people in her life.

"I want to thank my family…you give me light every day. My mom and dad for being so supportive."

She also went onto support the creators of the show, Matt Duffer and Ross Duffer, saying: "They've created a bad-ass, female character that I've got the honour to play. Thank you guys so much. I love you"

Stranger Things season two debuts on October 31 on Netflix, and we can't wait to find out the fate of Eleven.

Facebook has published a number of ads in British newspapers this morning to warn its users of fake news.

The BBC reports that various advertisements have been featured in papers such as The Times, The Guardian and The Daily Telegraph.

Within the ads are lists of signs for people to look out for, which includes checking the article date, checking other websites for the same story and making sure the article isn't a satire.

This comes after Facebook has been put under political pressure to stop fake news ahead of the UK's general election this June.

A TV show, which is due to air tonight, will show how Facebook played a role in the election of Donald Trump, as well as the Brexit referendum in Britain last year.

Last night, the MTV Movie Awards took place, and it certainly looked like a night to remember.

However, one of the stand out moments of the night was when Emma Watson took home the first ever genderless gong.

Emma was awarded the MTV popcorn prize of Best Actor for her work in the remake of Beauty and the Beast.

The honour was a little different than it's been in the past, because this year MTV decided to change the practice of separating the prize to an 'Actor' or 'Actress', meaning that Emma took home a totally gender-neutral award.

During her acceptance speech, Emma said: "The first acting award in history that doesn't separate nominees based on their sex says something about how we perceive the human experience.

"MTV's move to create a genderless award for acting will mean something different to everyone. But to me it indicates that acting is about the ability to put yourself in someone else's shoes and that doesn't need to be separated into two different categories."

"I think I'm being given this award because of who Belle is and what she represents," she continued.

"The villagers in our fairy tale wanted to make Belle believe the world was smaller than the way that she saw it, with fewer opportunities for her.

"I love playing someone who didn't listen to any of that."

We couldn't be more delighted for Emma.

When we go to choose a new colour for our lips, we consider a few things.

Is the lip shade 'in'? Will it make my teeth look yellow? Is it matte or gloss?

However, one thing we never take into consideration is… the colour of our nipples.

But, according to The Doctors, the best lipstick shade is the on that matches your nipple colour.

Weird, huh?

The reason behind their theory is simple; it compliments your skin tone (which we suppose makes sense).

Just don't go pulling down your top next time you're in MAC, yeah?

Old grease is pretty rotten.

Don't get us wrong, we love anything fried… but stealing old restaurant grease is a weird thing to do.

Weird, until you find out how lucrative it is.

Bloomberg has reported an increase of thieves robbing old vegetable oil, and while it's completely gross, it makes them a hella loada cash.

In fact, 30 per cent of 'golden goo' as they call it, now gets turned into biofuel, enough to make restaurants’ vats of grease the centerpiece of a thriving $75 million (€69m) black market industry.

Sumit Majumdar, who runs a grease-collection business in New York state, told Bloomberg, “It’s like crack money. There’s an actual market for stolen oil.

"It’s almost like a pawn shop or scrap-metal business," he added.

This isn't a new crime either, as USA Today has noted that thefts of grease have been reported as early as 2010.

Do you think this kinda thing will catch on in Ireland? Or is it already happening…?

The story isn't over – 13 Reasons Why is coming back for a second season.

Netflix confirmed the news via a video on Twitter this afternoon.

It captioned the short video, "Their story isn't over. Season 2 of @13ReasonsWhy is coming."

After the success of the first season, we're delighted that season two is in the works.

However, many fans are wondering how the story will be told, and if Hannah Baker will play a role in the next season.

Listen, mornings can be hard. And we feel you when all you want to do is run a million miles away from your alarm clock and never see the front door to your office again.

Within the first ten minutes of waking up all you want to do is fall into a big black hole, and after that, you usually regain yourself and get ready for the day ahead.

However, sometimes if you got little sleep the night before, or have other things on your mind, you won't be the most cheery when entering the office. It's understandable.

It's understandable, sometimes. We'll let you off with the odd grumpy morning, but if you stick your headphones in and ignore your colleagues every day, it's a big business no-no.

Turns out, giving a polite greeting to your colleagues every morning will have a big impact on your working day.

Founder of career advice blog, Jobacle, Andrew G Rosen, shared this piece of career advice in an article entitled 7 reasons to say good morning to your co-workers.

"Joe and Stacey work next to each other," Andrew explained. "They sit no more than five feet apart.

"Even though they often arrive at work before the rest of the team, there's no communication between them. Only silence."

Sound familiar?

Apparently, Andrew has said that this type of behaviour is an "alarming trend" that needs to be worked out immediately.

However, if you always greet your co-workers when arriving into the office, it means they will be more willing to help you with work throughout the day and even after you move onto another job.

It can't be that painful to wave and say 'Hi!' to your co-workers in the morning, right?!

Bagels are one of our favourite breakfast treats. And to make them even better, some wonderful genius has caffeinated them.

According to Grub Street, a popular US bagel chain has created what it's calling the "world's first caffeinated bagel" and we really want to try them.

The bagel is called 'Espresso Buzz' and contains around 32mg of caffeine, which is about a third of the amount you'd find in a regular cup of coffee.

The creators, Einstein Bros, have been designing the bagels for the past nine months, and aimed for it to "be a hit with tired hipsters across the country," Fox News reports.

There has been mixed reactions however, with some people describing it as "chewy coffee," while others say it's the perfect morning treat.

We think they should send some over to us so we could try them for ourselves…

Conor McGregor has this morning blessd us all with the very first shot of his newborn son, Conor Jack – and we could not be more excited!

The Irish MMA champ took to Twitter to make the big reveal, posting a gorgeous shot of new mum Dee Devlin cuddling their little bundle of joy.

"Dee and Junior are doing great everyone! Thank you for all the kind words, I am one proud and blessed Daddy," he wrote, in a tweet that has gone viral across social media.

The news of The Notorious Junior's arrival broke yesterday, just after the emergence of a verified Instagram account dedicated to the tot.

It was overjoyed grandfather Tony McGregor who confirmed the news, to the Irish Mirror, saying: "There’s great news for the McGregors and the Devlins. Baby Conor Jack McGregor was delivered last night at 8pm in the Coombe Hospital.

"He came in at 8 pounds 14 ounces. The whole family are absolutely delighted. We’ve experienced this recently with our eldest daughter and there’s no better feeling in the world than being a grandparent. The parents are absolutely over the moon and everyone is healthy."

We're wishing the doting new parents all the luck in the world at this wonderful time.
