Ladies, it's never too early to start planning your Halloween costume (even if it is 10 months away…).

With that in mind, we'd like to introduce you to one of the most talented makeup artists we have ever seen!

Vanessa Davis is a British MUA, who specialises in theatrical and artistic looks, such as skulls and butterflies.

Vanessa has gained over 169,000 followers in just over 12 months, which is extremely impressive in our opinion.

She uses a number of different tools and paints to achieve her breathtaking looks, such as UV paint, glitter and acrylics.

Unicorn / Pegasus Wings Skull I'm jumping on the Instagram Unicorn band wagon and you guessed it- incorporated a skull in there. I just love anything holographic or rainbow. (Pegasus was white, not rainbow and I chose to leave out the horn and some unicorns do have wings you know) What would you name it? Products Used: @wolfefaceartfx Face Painting FX palette, @maccosmetics @maccosmeticsuk Mechanical eyebrow pencil in 'Stud' to do the outline and pressed eyeshadows (depotted, discontinued and unlabelled – sorry guys) in various rainbow colours. @wonderlandmakeup Pigment powders in 'Chaulked', 'Lolite' and lipstick in Pink Squeeze. Vanessa has not posted any images of a regular, day-to-day makeup, but this Halloween inspo is giving us all the feels.

Third Eye Skull Makeup This was inspired by Dan Hillier's artwork 'Beetle Skull' (Which I will post shortly). It was an exercise in symmetry and illusion! Products used on the three Eyes: @maccosmetics @maccosmeticsuk Paint Sticks in Process Magenta, Rich Purple, Pigments in Neon 60's, Ruby Red, Process Magenta, outlined using Penultimate eyeliner in Black, @wonderlandmakeup Pigment in Chalked. The lashes are from @lashedibiza and @blackmagiclashes For the Skull  I used @maccosmetics @maccosmeticsuk Full Coverage Foundation in White, translucent setting powder and the Chameleon face painting palette from @tiltmakeup Happy Friday folks, hope you have a great weekend! #amazingmakeupart #skulls #skullmakeup #skull #cyclops #eyemakeup #skulltress #maccosmetics #maccosmeticsuk #facepaint #illusion #illusions

The People's Choice Awards lavishes accolades onto some of the public's favourite stars.

As with any red carpet event, the style stakes were high, and the celebrities came out in force to prove their fashion credentials.

Here's the low down on some of our favourite looks.

Blake Lively

In a dress that would make  Serena Van Der Woodsen proud, new mum Blake hit the red carpet looking drop dead gorgeous.

The actress's fringed Elie Saab ensemble was perfectly complimented by her oversized accessories.

J-Lo

The 47-year-old smouldered in a sophisticated, long-sleeved dress by Reem Acra as she hit the red carpet without her new bae Drake.

The singer added a slicked back ponytail to compliment her stand-out gown.

Ruby Rose

Orange is literally the new black for model and actress Ruby Rose.

The androgyny queen proved that orange is the colour of the season in her striking power suit.

Kristin Bell

Kristen Bell opted for something a little more unusual as she stepped out in a glitzy jumpsuit.

The wide legged, metallic, hounds tooth piece was busy enough is it is, so the actress went without accessories.

Fifth Harmony

Fifth Harmony stepped out as a foursome draped in matching nude silks.

Using their outfits as a sign of girl band unity, the girl's looks all complimented one anothers.

Ashley Greene

Ashley Greene stunned in crushed lilac velvet at the awards.

Keeping things simple, the Twilight star opted for a loose high pony tail  and oversized hoops.

Donald Trump was having a major mare trying to fill up the performance slots for his inauguration.

Obama left him with some pretty big party shoes to fill, as the soon-to-be former president was serenaded at his inauguration by the likes of Beyonce and Mary J Blige.

After being turned down by multiple celebs for the event, Trump's team have secured a very Irish inspired set of performers.

Michael Flatley and his world famous Lord of the Dance Irish dancing troupe will be performing for the president elect and his guests tomorrow night, reports TMZ.

The Liberty Ball will be home to the clattering of rhythmic Irish dancing as Trump is sworn in as the 45th president of the United States.

Trump's team has also managed to book managed to book 16-year-old opera singer and America's Got Talent contestant Jackie Evancho, along with the Radio City Rockettes and the Morman Tabernacle Choir.

I think we'd prefer Beyonce tbh.

Mr Tayto has been in our lives since we were kids.

Going to school, a cheeky pack of crisps was always thrown into your lunch box and now as adults, a Tayto sandwich is practically our saviour on hangover days.

But, one man has taken his love for the crisps further by getting a tattoo of the giant potato.

Yep, if you don't know already, Mr Tayto has a Facebook page, and the picture below was sent in on Sunday night.

taytotattoo

However, Mr Tayto himself wasn't convinced the tattoo was the real deal.

Writing on his FB page, he said: "I have just been sent this!!! I need to know… IS THIS REAL?? A Tayto Tattoo."

Many were delighted with the amusing ink, and even think the tattooed man needs a reward.

"If it is, they need free entry to Tayto Park for life, just show the tattoo for entry," wrote one fan.

Ah, what a world we live in.

Do you have a gas tattoo? Or did your mate get inked without thinking about the consequences? We'd love to hear from you! Send us in your story here and be in with the chance of winning €250!

Pink… Nah, we're over it.

Well, Pinterest is anyway. It may have been the go-to colour of 2016 with fashion bloggers and celebs alike donning it nearly every season.

But now, the blush colour is moving aside for a far more glorious hue. Orange.

Yep, according to Pinterest, there has been a 59 percent increase in orange, with many saving the colour to their boards for inspo this season.

The shade is set to dominate the catwalks – and our wardrobes – for the next few months and we frankly can't wait to see the trend thrive.

However, if you're a fully-fledged pink person, or your wardrobe is mainly made up of black and grey clothing (guilty), here are a few ways to integrate the fruity colour into your life.

It's clear to see that plunging necklines and beautiful bussoms are in this season.

The stars of Hollywood lined the red carpet of the Golden Globes with outlined cleavage and perky assets.

They, however, all have a team of make-up artists prepping and perfecting them for the entire day before they even have a picture taken.

So, what about us mere beings that want bigger-looking boobs but can't splash the cash for a make-up artist every time we go out, huh?

Well, that's where boob contouring comes in. Here are five steps to making your boobs look hella hot.

Image result for girls night out gif

Step 1 – Use a transfer-resistant foundation

Choose a colour that's three or four shades darker than your skin tone and outline the curves of your boobs with it.

Step 2 – Blend the lines

Makes sure to blend the darker foundation into your skin so it doesn't end up looking dirty.

Step 3 – Set foundation with powder

You don't want your 'big' boobs disappearing during the night because the make-up rubbed off. Set it with a powder in a light shade.

Step 4 – Use a wet beauty blender

To even everything out, dab your chest area with a wet beauty blender so nothing can clog up.

Step 5 – Highlight

Dust this on between your collarbones and your boobs to really accentuate the bigger boob effect.

Still don't have the hang of it? This video will help you along the way:

Whether you started smoking in college or you're a life-long pack-a-day person, quitting the habit can be really tough.

It's going to be a process, but once you have the right game plan and will power, you can kick the habit for good.

Many people are fond of the START method, so hopefully by following this plan, you'll have a cigarette-free 2017.

S – Set a quit date

First, choose a quit date. Try pick a date within the next two weeks so you can prepare yourself enough, yet, you won't lose your motivation.

If you normally smoke a lot when in work, try pick a weekend to quit so you have a day or two to get used to it.

T – Tell your friends, family and co-workers

By telling people that are close to you, you will be able to get their encouragement and support, as well as give yourself a little bit of motivation.

And if possible, try find a quit buddy so you can go through the motions together.

A – Anticipate the challenges

On average, people who begin to smoke again do so within the first three months of quitting.

Prepare for the challenges, prepare for the drawbacks and prepare for the cravings. So many cravings.

R – Remove cigarettes, tobacco and all other products

Remove them from your home, work, and your car. If your sitting in rush hour traffic and find a cigarette in the glove box, it'll be a mighty temptation.

And freshen everything up too; wash your clothes, clean your curtains, steam your furniture.

T – Talk to your doctor

Your doctor will be able to prescribe medication to help with any withdrawals you might have.

If you're not able to get to your doctor, a simple chat with your local pharmacist on whether you should take any nicotine gum or lozenges will help massively.

With many thrifty Leaving Cert students applying for the CAO this week to avail of the discounted fee, we’ve been having major throwback talks in SHEmazing HQ about our college experiences.

And while the basic structure might have been the same, there is no doubt that wherever you went to college, it was a truly unique experience.

Especially if you've graced the halls of Kerry’s IT Tralee.

When they say Kerry is a whole other world, they really mean it.

Here’s nine things you’ll know all too well if you studied at IT Tralee.

1. North side, south side

From your very first day, you were already on a side.

While you may have been in spitting distance from your counterparts on South Campus, you were already being groomed to hold a grudge.

2. Rent was dirt cheap

There was nothing nicer than boasting to your friends in UCD that €300 per month got you a double bed, ensuite and security gate on the complex. #HumbleBrag

3. Forgot your T Card? Might as well head home

Your T Card became an extension of your arm, carrying it with you always just to hear those two beeps of recognition that you made it to your 9am lecture on Friday morning.

4. So wait, you go to TIT?

You felt an instant bond with anyone in IT Tallaght because you know they had to listen to that torturous joke for three or four years too.

5. The beach is so close but I never actually go there

From the moment you read that prospectus you imagined your life like the kids on The OC, heading to the beach after college to catch some waves or stroll along the sand.

Then you remember the brute force of the Atlantic Ocean and that you would probably get pneumonia from just stepping out of the car… and it’s far!

6. The forgotten courses

If you weren’t a health and leisure or a nursing student your answer to ‘what course are you doing?’ would always receive a slightly bemused look.

7. To The Cube

Using the excuse ‘I study better with noise’, The Cube was home to us students who wanted to feel like we were working but really just wanted talk about how little we had actually done with our classmates.

8. Getting a seat in R Block meant you’d probably skip your next lecture

With only a few couches up for grabs, if you were one of the lucky few to get a seat then you wouldn’t be moving for no man nor lecture.

9. Pre-drinking and Kings Court: the perfect union

There was only one place to be from the hours of eight to 11 on a Tuesday or Thursday night.

The transition from secondary school to third-level can be overwhelming on so many levels.

While some people take to the new environment like a duck to water, countless others struggle massively with the process, and often feel out of step with the rest of the student body.

From adjusting to independent learning to adapting to changeable timetables, college is a far cry from your days in the local comprehensive, and for some, it's a transition which impacts on their mental and emotional wellbeing.

As you face into the second semester of this academic year, you may have toyed with the idea of jacking it all in, and if that's the case, you may want to consider some of the following questions.

1. Are you unhappy with your subjects?

Identifying the source of your upset is the first step towards taking positive action.

If you are unhappy with your subjects or degree, you need to approach the university and ask for guidance on the matter.

The staff and faculty of any university are employed to guide and support students, so they'll be more than happy to advise you on your options.

And remember, they've heard it all before, so lay it out for them, and it could be as simple as swapping subjects for one you're more interested in.

2. Are you unhappy with your university?

If you don't feel your choice of degree at this particular university is what you were expecting, that's not a reason to drop out of education altogether.

Seek guidance from the staff at your current university, and communicate your concerns.

It's always possible to start again, but doing it by yourself is where it gets tricky, so reach out and give yourself a voice.

No one knows the system better than those working within it, so there's a high chance there are options available to you which you haven't even considered.

3. Are you unhappy with the social element of third-level?

TV and movies would have us believe that college is where you make life-long friends, but for many, college is spent floating between various classes, unable to make a proper connection with fellow students.

After groups forge in the first week, those who didn't make the cut are often left looking in – a sensation which makes for a wholly unpleasant third-level experience.

In this instance, you need to bite the bullet and join some societies. College is chock-full of clubs which don't require a passion for philosophy or history, so join the trampoline club or movie society, and start making pals.

But listen…

College isn't for everyone, and maybe it's just not your time yet.

If you have addressed all of the above issues, and still know that you would benefit from some time away from education, there's no harm in taking a year out or deferring your place.

Everybody is on a separate journey, and there is no rule that says you have to do everything in the same sequence as everyone else.

But before you simply turn off your alarm, and refuse to step foot on campus ever again, make sure you talk through your options with the experts.

Ah, the dreaded CAO form.

It was an absolute pain in the a*se back in the day, and as young adults, it put the fear in everyone.

Filling out the CAO form meant you were finally leaving behind secondary school (hurrah!), but with that, came the unknown. And that was hella scary.

Where will you be next year? Will you be living at home? Will you be in the same college as your mates? Will you get your first choice…?

Here are six things we all went through when filling that rotten thing out:

1. It was SO important

You literally thought that this form was the most important thing you'll ever do in your life. Never mind studying… the CAO form was your future.

Three years later you realise it had very little to do with your future…

Image result for important gif

2. It went on FOREVER… and ever… and ever

And ever. It might as well have been 768 pages long, and starting it seemed like the most daunting task on earth.

Even more daunting that finishing the rainbow course on Mario Cart.

Image result for i just cant do it gif

3. PRESSURE

You felt pressure from every angle imaginable. Your parents, your teachers, your guidance councellor, your friends.

And when the pressure hits, it feels like you just can't make a good decision…

4. Friends first? No?

Even though we were all warned against it, and told it was stupid, we all maybe, might have put down a university that our mates put down.  Just in case…

Image result for friends high five gif

5. People telling you what to do was frustrating AF

'Don't do that course, you'll never get a job', 'Don't put that college down, it's too far away', 'Mary down the road did that course and made no friends…'

Sorry, can I make up my OWN mind, please and thank you?

Image result for shut up fergie gif

6. The relief

After all was said and done, you had a feeling of pure joy when it was all finished and filled out.

And you never wanted to hear the letters 'C, A,O', muttered ever again…

Would you ever live in a floating city? In fairness, it would be pretty cool (that's if you're not afraid of water).

It seemed something like this would be created years into the future, but as it turns out, it's not that fair away from happening.

The Daily Mirror reports that The Seasteading Institute has spent the last five years making plans and researching the concept of a city that floats on water.

There's now plans for a permanent floating community to be made in French Polynesia, with their government having signed an agreement with a US company to start construction in two years.

The director of the project, Randolph Hencken said that even though the first floating city will be on Polynesian water, he hopes it will be a basis for a new kind of society.

"We were looking for sheltered waters – we don't want to be out in the open ocean –  it's technologically possible but economically outrageous to afford. If we can be behind a reef break, then we can design floating platforms that are sufficient for those waters at an affordable cost.

"What we're interested in is societal choice and having a location where we can try things that haven't been tried before."

Looking at the video of the plans, it looks absolutely incredible, and while we probably wouldn't live there full-time (is there a shopping centre?) it would be a brilliant place to chill on a summer break.

Trending

It was the 7 minute-long video that captured the nation's attention when it was released late yesterday evening.

And how painfully inevitable that Heartbreak, which was written and performed by Emmet Kirwan, quickly became a target of wholly misguided condemnation.

The summation? Oh, just that the powerful production amounted to little more than predictable clickbait, created by a "self-promoting spoofer to get more funding."

The barrage of scathing remarks would be laughable – ridiculous, even – if they weren't deeply offensive to every woman who has been degraded, violated or dismissed in this country.

The turning point in the short film, directed by Dave Tynancame at the moment a young mother turns on three men who objectified her on a Dublin street in the presence of her young son.

"I’m not defined by the fact I am some man’s daughter, sister cousin, mother. I am a woman and I have agency just because I’m breathing air, mother*cker. And I’m standing here, mother*cker," she told them.

Having navigated teenage pregnancy, been dismissed by those purporting to support, and reduced to little more than another statistic in modern Ireland, she finds herself right back where she started – the subject of a catcall.

Except this time, she has a child by her side.

“The boy sees this treatment in the street and from the State all his life so he decides to regulate, but young one now fully grown tries to sate this rage and build this young man, this young boy.”

“He will be the best elements of femininity wrapped in a rebellious feminine but benign masculinity,” the viewer is told.

And while thousands have heaped praise upon the short Irish film which began circulating online yesterday, some observers have gone on the defence – appalled that their gender be accused of objectifying women.

“Sexist vile crap that tries to demonise men,” wrote one YouTube commentator. “What the hell was that bit about "standing in awe" of women about? F*ck right off with your sjw bs.”

“This is the trend now in Lefty Ireland. It’s open season on Men and Masculinity,” whinged another.

“His "poetry" is about as subtle as a sledgehammer to the face,” opined yet another. “The white male is public enemy number one.”

And yet, for the vast majority of women watching, countless elements of this young mother’s story were all too familiar.

From the catcalls and the thinly veiled judgement to the deep-seated anger and desire to be heard, Emmet Kirwan tapped into the lived experience of thousands of women in Ireland.

But for some people, it was just a little too close to the bone.

“I’m not like that.” “Why am I the enemy?” “I’m being demonised”, and so on and so forth went the comments on YouTube, Reddit and Facebook in the wake of the film’s release.

And herein lies the issue.

By failing to look further than their own treatment of women, these people are ultimately blinding themselves to the conduct of their peers.

By insisting they’re innocent of certain attitudes and behaviours, they are extricating themselves from the real issue.

Have women been objectified by men the length and breadth of this country? Yes.

Do women face more judgement than their male counterparts over certain issues in Ireland? Undoubtedly.

Does the weight of family planning, pregnancy and abortion weigh more heavily on women’s shoulders? Obviously.

And are women still waiting to be granted bodily autonomy in this State? Regrettably, yes.

Claims that Emmet Kirwan’s production is little more than clickbait is offensive to every woman who has fended off unwanted attention, endured public or private degradation, and still fights for bodily autonomy in this country.

Just because you don’t do it doesn’t mean it isn't being done.
