We think it's safe to say that whenever anyone makes a mistake now, we're going to say they're pulling a Steve Harvey, after his Miss Universe debacle.

Well, Jamie Foxx pulled the ultimate Steve Harvey at the Golden Globes last night when he was presenting the award for Best Original Score.

He announced the winner to Straight Outta Compton – who didn't actually win – and then quickly retracted his statement, repeating Steve's "it's right here on the card" apology speech.

Now, of course, Jamie was joking, and the winner, Ennio Morricone, composer of The Hateful Eight, wasn't even there to accept the award.

Instead, the writer of the film, Quentin Tarantino, took to the stage to accept the award. But in classic Quentin fashion, he managed to annoy people while making his speech, and referenced "that ghetto" in a bad light during it.

So, when Jamie went back on stage to welcome his daughter, Corinne, this year's Miss Golden Globe – he took the opportunity to shut down Mr Tarantino, questioning his "ghetto" comment for the whole world to see.

And of course, fans reacted on Twitter to the slip:

A huge congratulations is in store for Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Jason Statham.

The pair are set to tie the knot after five years of dating, their reps have confirmed to E! News.

The blonde bombshell debuted her engagement ring on the Golden Globes red carpet last night, and we have to say, she had the biggest grin plastered on her face.

The news comes after the 28-year-old model and 48-year-old actor enjoyed a trip to Phuket, Thailand. Over the past few weeks they were looking as loved-up as ever as they were seen hitting the beach and soaking up the sun.

We just can't wait to see her wedding dress! *Swoon*.

Ah, award season. We all love the glitz and glam of awards season, but sometimes the celebs choices don't exactly live up to expectations.

On the other hand, there are the few that totally nail it, and look better and better every year. Here, we look back on last night and the stars that dominated the red carpet… and the ones that, well… didn't.

Best dressed

Lady Gaga – Versace

We don't think we've ever seen Lady Gaga look so ladylike. We adore her black velvet gown.

Kate Hudson – Michael Kors Collection

Keeping in with the hottest trends, Kate can really rock a crop top. Sure with her bod, she can get away with anything.

Saoirse Ronan – Saint Laurent

Saoirse hit all the right notes last night. Wearing a Saint Laurent gown, she looked like a golden goddess.

Jenna Dewan Tatum – Zuhair Murad

Channing must be one happy man! Jenna looked oh-so-elegant in this Zuhair Murad dress.

Cate Blanchett – Givenchy

Taking inspiration from the 1920's, Cate nailed this look fro head to toe.

Jennifer Lopez – Giambattista Vali

The ever-daring J Lo stood out from the crowd in this yellow Giambattista Vali dress. She never fails on the red carpet.

Kate Bosworth – Dolce & Gabbana

We are totally crushing on Kate's Dolce & Gabbana dress. All the sequins, but in a great stand-out colour.

Worst dressed

Katy Perry – Prada

While there's nothing exactly wrong, we think it's a bit boring for award season. She does look smokin' hot though.

Julianne Moore – Tom Ford

Julianne has a fab body for her age, but we think this sequin gown is a bit much and the light is hitting it in all the wrong places.

Eva Longoria – Georges Hobeika

We can see where Eva was going with this look, but it reminds us a bit too much of our granny's tablecloth. Sorry, Eva.

Sophia Bush – Narciso Rodriguez

Oh, Sophia. You were our fave in One Tree Hill but we're afraid, like Katy, this look is just too boring.

America Ferrera – Jenny Packham

And the debs dresses have arrived! While America shines bright in yellow, we feel like we've gone back to debs season. Not good.

Undecided

Heidi Klum – Marchesa

Let's be real, Heidi always looks great. But, we're so undecided on this dress. We love it, yet the feathers are a bit over-kill.

Jennifer Lawrence – Dior

J Law can get it sooo right; and then so wrong. We're kinda getting thrown off by the big diamond necklace, but still, she looks very elegant.

Jennifer Lawrence may have wowed in a red Dior gown at last night's Golden Globes, but her behaviour throughout the night didn't get quite the same level of praise.

The actress, who scooped the Best Actress In A Musical Or Comedy award for her role in Joy, publicly hit out at a reporter for using his phone in the Press Room.

Interrupting the reporter midway through his question, Jennifer said, "You can’t just live your life behind your phone bro. You can’t do that, you’ve gotta live in the now."

When the interviewer, who didn't appear to have English as his first language, tried again to ask how Jennifer felt about her chances for the Oscars, she interrupted once more to say, "We're at the Golden Globes, if you put your phone down you would no that."

Cue nervous laughter from the assembled press – and a fair few angry tweets:

Another reporter stepped in to defend the actress though, saying she was well within her rights to complain:

It didn't seem to be Jen's night in terms of pleasing the press, however.

Earlier in the night, the actress' oh-so awkward interaction with Katy Perry during an E! interview on the red carpet had also raised eyebrows for some viewers:

We doubt Jennifer lost too much sleep over the criticism though – she was no doubt too busy celebrating her huge win.

Tributes, memories and old photos have been pouring in on social media this morning, since news broke that music legend David Bowie had passed away.

As well as some beautiful messages from celebrity fans – everyone from JK Rowling to Kanye West has paid tribute – there have also been some more low-key tributes shared.

Like this one, for example, a candid moment from David Bowie's trip to Dublin with his wife Iman back in 1997:

The couple were in the city in August of that year for David's gig at Dublin's Olympia Theatre. The sweet picture was shared in Bowie's memory by Photos of Dublin this morning.

And they weren't the only ones who made a holiday around the gig, as they were joined by English artist Tracey Emin, being photographed by Bowie here with a very young fan on the quays:

"These photos were taken in Dublin, where we’d gone for the weekend," Tracey told the Daily Mail back in 2013.

"The little girl was an unknown interloper."

Bet that "unknown interloper" never realised her picture would still be doing the rounds 19 years on…

It's been a huge 19 years since the world first saw Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio on screen in Titanic, and we're still not over how cute they are.

In fact, the two stars reunited at last night's Golden Globes, and even seeing them hug was enough to send Twitter into overdrive.

A clip from the show's live broadcast shows Kate and Leo chatting animatedly – no doubt about their respective Best Supporting Actress and Best Actor wins – before sharing a hug:

Jack and Rose, is that you?

Kate was one of the first to pay her congratulations to her former co-star after he accepted his award for Best Actor in a Motion Picture (Drama) for his role in The Revenant.

As for the English actress, she took home a gong for her role as Joanna Hoffman in Steve Jobs alongside Michael Fassbender.

While the pair both won last night, it remains to be seen if they'll get the same dose of good luck at the Oscars, with Leo's 22-year fight for a win still continuing.

For now though, we're just happy to see them back together – and so is everyone else, it seems:

Jack & Rose 4 EVA.

As news of the death of David Bowie filtered through the media this morning, fans of all ages and from all walks of life expressed their shock and sadness.

The singer, who was 69, passed away "peacefully" after an 18-month battle with cancer, a statement from his family revealed earlier today.

Bowie had just released his new album, Blackstar, on January 8, which it's now become clear was his way of saying goodbye to the world.

Unsurprisingly, social media has been awash with tributes to the iconic star, many of them from Hollywood:

Golden Globes presenter Ricky Gervais was one of many stars who tweeted just hours after the ceremony ended:

Kanye West paid tribute to an inspiration:

And even David Cameron shared some memories of the singer:

If the people of the world hadn't heard of Tropical Popical after it got a triple shout-out on The Ellen Show last week, they certainly have now.

Actress Saoirse Ronan couldn't resist name-checking the popular Dublin nail salon on the Golden Globes red carpet in LA this evening, as she recalled the moment she heard about her Best Actress nomination.

"I was getting my nails done in a salon in Dublin and I had no idea the nominations were coming out that day" she told E! host Giuliana Rancic.

"By the time I was doing all the reaction phoners afterwards, I was sitting in the corner of this salon, it's called Tropical Popical, there's lots of palm trees and flamingos, and everyone was getting their nails done and drinking champagne around me."

Speaking about last week's Ellen Show mention, salon owner Andrea Horan told SHEmazing it was a dream come true.

"It feels like it's fake. The fact that she [Saoirse] was actually describing the salon was just amazing. It's gone mental since then, we've had people calling from all over."

Carlow native Saoirse looked absolutely breath-taking in a white Yves Saint Laurent number for her appearance at tonight's awards, showing she's more than able to handle the high stakes of the US awards circuit:

She was at the centre of some geographical controversy this week, as UK channel Sky News claimed her as "one of our own" when annoucning her BAFTA Best Actress nomination.

Presenter Richard Suchet today apologised for any offence caused:

Wishing our gal Saoirse the best of luck this evening!

Ah, the 90's. Whether you were a kid in the 1990s or a on-trend teenager at the time, we all look back fondly on the era of crop tops and neon scrunchies.

So, much so, that fashion from the 90's has totally come back on trend.

But singer, Rashida Jones misses the decade so much that's she's only gone and made a song about it.

For nostalgic fans, this video will bring back happy memories and hopefully cheer you up on this dreary Monday morning. And for those who weren't so keen on the 90's, sit back and cringe about how we all used to look.

We all know when sharing a pizza, it can be really annoying when your friend grabs the BIG slice and you're left with the small, measly slice that only has one pepperoni.

Well, mathematicians, Joel Haddley and Stephen Worsley from the University of Liverpool in London have found a way that will cut your pizza into 12 equal and beautiful slices.

Known as the monohedral disc telling method (yes, sounds strange to us too), you have to cut six pieces into a curvy star-shape from the centre, and then halve those pieces.

So, it turns out looking like this:

To be honest, it sounds mega complicated to us, and we rather just have a whole pizza to ourselves. But fair play to the lads for figuring it out. They must really love pizza.

Hands up if your dry shampoo is bae? Especially for everyone that has long and knotty hair, washing it a million times a week can be a total effort.

But, fear not ladies, because there is a new hair tool in town that promises to cut your washing time in half. Hurray!

PonyDry is a new product that allows you to cup all of your hair up into a ponytail, and then wraps a tight band around your pony so no water can get in.

Then, all you have to do is just wash the top of your hair and around the scalp, and presto! You're hair is washed.

While this invention sounds absolutely incredible, hair stylist, Kat Zemtsova told Cosmo that it's not suitable for all hair types. *Sobs*.

"Kat advises only those with straight hair to use the PonyDry. If you usually blow out your naturally curly hair, it's going to be tough to re-style it after your roots get curly again."

Whether or not you like Derren Brown, we all have to admit that his TV shows are somewhat shocking.

Not only did he get a group of people to perform an armed robbery, he also used his skills to expose the 'powers' of faith-healing.

But in his new show, Pushed to The Edge, he has taken it to a completely new level.

Airing on Channel 4 on Tuesday, Derren sets out to persuade an "unwitting member of the public into believing that they have pushed someone to their death."

On the show, you will see the outcome of this very elaborate set-up, but behind it all, Derren says that his point is political.

“It’s particularly relevant with our political situation, with people being radicalised into doing bad things, but it can also operate on a private, quiet level socially,” says Mr Brown.

“When we find ourselves in groups or with charismatic individuals, we might do things we wouldn’t ordinarily do.

“What the show asks is whether the mechanics of social compliance can be manipulated to push someone off a building to their death. Could it be taken that far?”

We're not sure about you, but we certainly think that the new episode is going to be chilling.
