When it comes to anti-ageing products, it can be difficult to narrow down the best ones. We're advised to start an anti-ageing skincare routine in our mid-20s, but where do we start?

However, there's one serum that undeniably brings results, with loyal consumers and critics alike raving about it.

Lancôme Advanced Génifique has been one of the most critically successful skincare products in the industry ever since it's 2009 launch.

Leading the way in cutting-edge innovation and pioneering science, the product delivers skincare like no other using microbiome science.

Lancôme Advanced Génifique was born out of over 197 formation trials, and has been tested on an amazing 4,000 women. There's a good reason why it has over 10,000 five-star reviews.

97 percent of women who use it would recommend it to others, and it's received over 170 awards over a decade on since it's launch.

It's hardly surprising that 25 million bottles of the serum have sold worldwide, that's one every six seconds.

Renowned for it's ability to activate the 10 signs of youth, it's efficiency is hard to deny. Younger-looking skin isn't as hard to accomplish as it seems, with products like these raising the bar for the skincare industry.

As the culmination of 15 years’ worth of research into the skin microbiome, a new Lancôme Advanced Génifique serum is born. It's withstood the test of time to become a beauty icon, and this new version promises to be timeless.

The serum wasn't created easily. Researchers have been captivated by the skin microbiome, which has formed the basis of 18 scientific publications and is a breakthrough in the skincare industry.

We're made up of 50 percent human cells and 50 percent bacterial cells, with our unique skin microbiome acting like our unique signature. It's a beneficial living ecosystem of microorganisms and a vital part of the skin surface.

Our skin's healthy appearance is essentially influenced by the balance of our microbiome.

A team of 50 experts, from physicists and clinicians to dermatologists and computer scientists, based in different global centres, has been involved in this research.

Our microbiome needs to be balanced to defend and recover, as well as repairing the skin and regulating excessive inflammation.

By working with Pr. Hattori, from Waseda University, Sōdai in Japan, Lancôme researchers were able to make a huge discovery: The skin microbiome changes as we age.

Our unique microbiome can be harmed by our lifestyle and environmental conditions such as UV rays, pollution, diet, hormones and medications. This can lead to spots, ageing, dryness and wrinkles.

Lancôme scientists have found that women living in a polluted environment and display premature signs of ageing. They were then able to create the ultimate formula to act on the skin microbiome.

The patented, self-loading dropper releases 30 million prebiotic and probiotic fractions at each application, with an addictive and weightless texture. It absorbs rapidly, and delivers immediate results.

In 2009, Kate Winslet won the best actress Oscar for her performance in The Reader – a film financed and distributed by Harvey Weinstein's company.

During her acceptance speech, the British star thanked 19 people by name and many others in general, but excluded Harvey Weinstein.

Speaking to the Los Angeles Times, Kate said:  “That was deliberate. That was absolutely deliberate.”

“I remember being told. ‘Make sure you thank Harvey if you win’. And I remember turning around and saying, ‘No I won’t. No I won’t’.”

Not shy about making her feelings know, the actress went on to explain the sense of relief she felt over the fact she would never again have to deal with the producer.

“The fact that I’m never going to have to deal with Harvey Weinstein again as long as I live is one of the best things that’s ever happened and I’m sure the feeling is universal.”

Describing Harvey as “bullying and nasty”, she told the newspaper how the producer never let her forget the fact that her first movie, Heavenly Creature, was made by his company, Miramax Films.

“For my whole career, Harvey Weinstein, whenever I’ve bumped into him, he’d grab my arm and say, ‘Don’t forget who gave you your first movie’. Like I owe him everything.”

“Then later, with The Reader, same thing, ‘I’m gonna get you that Oscar nomination, I’m gonna get you a win, I’m gonna win for you’.”

“But that’s how he operated. He was bullying and nasty. Going on a business level, he was always very, very hard to deal with — he was rude.”

Meanwhile, the organisation behind the Academy Awards has expelled the film producer over a string of sexual assault and harassment allegations made against him.

If the sound of your own voice on tape makes your toes curl and your eyes water, you're not alone.

For us mere mortals, hearing ourselves as others hear us is a surreal experience, and one which often makes us question why we ever open our mouths.

However, we wouldn't have anticipated the same response from Oscar-winner, Kate Winslet, who visibly squirmed recently when faced with a recording of her 2003 track What If.

During an interview with BBC Radio 1, the actress was asked to recall the series of events which led to the release of the Christmas song, and she explained that producers on a Christmas Carol suggested the Berkshire-born actress record a track for the movie.

Kate said she agreed despite insisting she wasn't up to the task, and was stunned when producers suggested that they release the track.

All good so far, but then the interviewer decided to whip out an iPad and remind Kate of her foray into the world of music.

The magic kicks off at 3.35.

Can you believe it's been 20 years since Titanic hit our screens?

It was the love story that no one could forget about, and now two decades later, there was a mini cast reunion, and we have to say, we're still swooning.

Billy Zane, Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio all came together again for Leo's charity fundraiser gala in St. Tropez in France.

At the gala, Leo and Kate auctioned themselves off to have a dinner with one lucky person… but we're just wondering how much someone would pay to have all three of them in the room together.

Billy shared a photo of the three amigos on Instagram with the caption, "Gang's back together. Now we're saving icebergs. Go Figure."

We're loving Billy's caption to the snap, but it seems the Internet just loves seeing everyone back together again:

It's been online for almost four years now, but Kate Winslet's screen test for Titanic has started doing the rounds again in recent days, and we can't stop re-watching it.

We don't know whether it's Kate's unmistakable talent or the fact she's actually playing opposite Elton from Clueless, but this YouTube video manages to be both surreal and compelling in equal measure.

Watching Kate channel her inner Rose DeWitt Bukater to anyone other than Leonardo Di Caprio is absolutely bizarre while seeing Jeremy Sisto talk about anything other than his missing Cranberries CD is a little hard to take.

Add in the squeaking couch and the all too obvious lack of Leo, and this 20-year-old audition has us in a full tailspin.

Ladies, check this out!

It’s been almost two decades since they starred together in Titanic.

But Kate Winslet and Leo DiCaprio’s friendship continues to be one of the sweetest – and longest enduring – Hollywood relationships.

They’ve walked countless red carpets together, starred as lovers in not one but two blockbuster films, and gushed about each other in too many interviews to count.

After seeing Kate’s oh-so emotional reaction when her mate Leo finally won a Best Actor award at last night’s Oscars, we were inspired to take a look back at some of their most tearjerking BFF moments…

1. When they first hit the red carpet together back in 1998
Kate’s hair is really something.

2. When Leo said this to Kate just ‘cos.

3. Oh, and this.

4. When Kate publicly expressed her love for her bestie on stage
Accepting her Golden Globe back in 2009

5. Of course, she’s done it on the red carpet a few times too.

6. When they couldn’t get over their excitement at BOTH winning Golden Globes this year
Too cute.

7. Basically any time they root for one another at awards shows

8. And hug like this afterwards

9. Oh, and like this.

Metallics and spring pastel palettes ruled on last night's Oscars red carpet, and while not everyone got it right, there were a few drop-dead gorgeous looks.

One style winner was Saoirse Ronan, who can rest easy knowing that she made it to the top of many a Best Dressed list today, even if she didn't go home with a Best Actress gong.

The 21-year-old looked breathtaking in a custom-made emerald green Calvin Klein gown, which she said was a nod to her "Irish heritage."

Of course, she wasn't the only one turning heads last night – here's a look at the best and worst of the Academy Awards red carpet.

The Hits

Lady Gaga
Gaga's white ensemble looked like a standard gown from the back, but from the front it was a killer jumpsuit. Love.

Jennifer Lawrence
That sheer neckline tho. J-Law worked it in Dior as always:

Mindy Kaling
Mindy went for understated elegance in a black bodycon number with cobalt blue sleeves and a flowing train.

Pharrel and Helen Lasichanh
Couples' style goals right here:

Margot Robbie
Like Saoirse, Margot went for full-on metallics in a shimmering gold number. While she ran the risk of looking like an Oscars statuette, the risk totally paid off.

Andra Day
The soul singer took things back to a simpler era with a touch of Fifties glamour. If only we could look that perfect in pale yellow…

Sophie Turner
Sophie let her bold red locks do the talking last night, keeping her colour palette neutral in a silver-grey dress and shoes, accessorised with a diamond choker.

The Misses

Kate Winslet
We love you Kate, but that shimmering black fabric is doing nothing for you. Very Debs dress circa 2003…

Alicia Vikander
The puff-ball bottom is retro gone wrong, and the sequin detailing adds nothing. A no from us.- but Alicia took home the Best Supporting Actress trophy so it's not all bad.

Heidi Klum
Heidi rocked up in a what is basically a nightdress, and while we love the pale lavender colour, it's just not an Oscars look.

Hurrah! Leo DiCarprio has finally won his first Oscar.

After four previous attempts, the Revenant star picked up the gong for Best Actor… while leaving his Titanic co-star, Kate Winslet in tears.

She was one of the first to congratulate him as he took to the stage after his name was called out, and while he gave his speech, Kate was seen with tears rolling down her face.

And while we're all delighted Leo won his award, his speech was something no one expected. He spoke about climate change.

"Making The Revenant was about man's relationship to the natural world…climate change is real,' said Leo.

"It is happening right now. It is the most urgent threat facing our entire species and we need to work collectively together and stop procrastinating.

"Let us not take our planet for granted," he concluded. "I do not take tonight for granted."

Yes, we know it's a bg issue but we didn't expect him to get down to it on the biggest night of his life.

But, sure look, we're over the moon for him.

Rewind twenty years or so, and you’d be hard-pressed to find many kick-ass, physical and powerful lead roles for females. Now though, the world of cinema is bursting with strong, fierce ladies who like nothing more than to whip some serious butt.

Case in point is Triple 9, which opens this weekend, starring Kate Winslet as a ruthless Russian crime boss who turns to blackmail to pull off a virtually impossible heist.

In anticipation of Kate’s most ball-busting role yet, we’re taking a look at the most badass female characters from the world of cinema. Here are the ladies giving us total life goals…

The Bride in Kill Bill
Played by Uma Thurman, The Bride in Tarantino’s Kill Bill is a no-brainer when it comes to strong female leads. After waking from a four year-coma, she sets out on a bloody revenge mission to get vengeance on the team of assassins who betrayed her. The Bride kicks some serious ass as she works her way through the group of vigilantes, who all call her bitter ex husband boss.

Imperator Furiosa in Mad Max: Fury Road
Charlize Theron played the role of independent, head strong Furiosa in Mad Max: Fury Road last year. As she rebels against a tyrannical ruler in a post-apocalyptic world, Furiosa is a force to be reckoned with, leading a motley crew in search of safety and out of the grasp of Immortan Joe.

Lisbeth Salander in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
Portrayed by Rooney Mara in the 2011 production, Lisbeth is a straight up badass. A computer hacker, Lisbeth aids disgraced journalist as he investigates a 40 year old missing persons case. An unpredictable, defiant and slightly sinister character, Lisbeth deserves her spot in our top five.

Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games Series
The role that brought Jennifer Lawrence to the fore, Katniss Everdeen is one strong lady. Forced to fight to the death in the sick Hunger Games, Katniss must kill or be killed. To survive she must become a fierce, force to be reckoned with.

Hit Girl in Kick-Ass
The youngest badass to make our list, Hit Girl, is an 11 year old slasher vigilante with a foul mouth. Played by Chloe Moretz, Hit Girl has had extensive training to become a killing machine, with a insane knowledge of all things weaponry. Trained to fight bad guys alongside her father, Big Daddy, Hit Girl is an intensely violet and undeniably effective killing machine.

For more kick-ass action, don’t miss Triple 9, in cinemas from February 19.

This is one Hollywood pairing that we will always wish ended up together.

Kate Winslet has revealed her undying support for her Titanic co-star and good friend, Leonardo DiCaprio, in his bid for an Academy Award this year.

The American actor, who has been nominated for the prestigious award five times, is suspected to finally achieve a win for his turn in the Revenant this awards season.

While she should perhaps be backing her Steve Jobs co-star Michael Fassbender for the Best Actor Oscar win, good 'ol Kate can't help but show her support for the 41-year-old actor.

"I think you can sort of feel it, and I think that everyone wants it for him," she revealed to BBC News.

"It would be amazing. It’s also slightly difficult for me too, because Michael Fassbender has been nominated and I was his right hand woman for three months whilst we were making Steve Jobs and I saw how hard he worked. I think his performance is so extraordinary.

"But I think yeah, you can sort of feel the temperature. It’s probably going to be Leo’s year."

Yeah, we reckon she wants to see him win almost as much as we do.

Kate is also in the running for an Academy Award this year as she is nominated for the Best Supporting Actress for her role as Joanna Hoffman in Steve Jobs.

She already holds an Oscar for her role in the Reader in 2009.

It's been a huge 19 years since the world first saw Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio on screen in Titanic, and we're still not over how cute they are.

In fact, the two stars reunited at last night's Golden Globes, and even seeing them hug was enough to send Twitter into overdrive.

A clip from the show's live broadcast shows Kate and Leo chatting animatedly – no doubt about their respective Best Supporting Actress and Best Actor wins – before sharing a hug:

Jack and Rose, is that you?

Kate was one of the first to pay her congratulations to her former co-star after he accepted his award for Best Actor in a Motion Picture (Drama) for his role in The Revenant.

As for the English actress, she took home a gong for her role as Joanna Hoffman in Steve Jobs alongside Michael Fassbender.

While the pair both won last night, it remains to be seen if they'll get the same dose of good luck at the Oscars, with Leo's 22-year fight for a win still continuing.

For now though, we're just happy to see them back together – and so is everyone else, it seems:

Jack & Rose 4 EVA.

When you're a teenager, the idea of even being seen in public with your parents is embarrassing enough, never mind having to watch them on a cinema screen.

Doing a sex scene.

With an actor you *kinda* fancy.

That's the reality for poor Mia Honey Threapleton though, as her mum just so happens to be A-list actress Kate Winslet.

The English star admits her 15-year-old daughter was a bit taken aback to find out that there was a raunchy scene with Liam Hemsworth in the script for her latest film.

"When I told my daughter that I was shooting the scene that day she spluttered," Kate said of her time on the set of The Dressmaker alongside Aussie heartthrob Liam.

"I took it to be jealousy."

That's definitely one way to put it…

It turns out Mia wasn't the only one red-faced by the idea of a sex scene with the Hunger Games star, though, as Kate admits she found it hard to focus too.

"I did feel quite bad for Liam," she confessed to BBC's The One Show this week.

"He’s a sweet guy but I couldn’t stop giggling."

Despite her embarassment, Mia already has aspirations to follow in her famous mum's footsteps, with Kate revealing that acting and film is a common dinner table topic for her family.

"There's a lot of positivity around it in our house," Kate said, on the subject of acting.

"What I really enjoy is that she's [Mia's] grown up not just watching me do it, but also learning how to respect it and that's what's nice for me."

Give it five years and maybe Mia will be the one setting up for a steamy scene with Liam…
