We think it's safe to say that whenever anyone makes a mistake now, we're going to say they're pulling a Steve Harvey, after his Miss Universe debacle.

Well, Jamie Foxx pulled the ultimate Steve Harvey at the Golden Globes last night when he was presenting the award for Best Original Score.

He announced the winner to Straight Outta Compton – who didn't actually win – and then quickly retracted his statement, repeating Steve's "it's right here on the card" apology speech.

Now, of course, Jamie was joking, and the winner, Ennio Morricone, composer of The Hateful Eight, wasn't even there to accept the award.

Instead, the writer of the film, Quentin Tarantino, took to the stage to accept the award. But in classic Quentin fashion, he managed to annoy people while making his speech, and referenced "that ghetto" in a bad light during it.

So, when Jamie went back on stage to welcome his daughter, Corinne, this year's Miss Golden Globe – he took the opportunity to shut down Mr Tarantino, questioning his "ghetto" comment for the whole world to see.

And of course, fans reacted on Twitter to the slip:

Steve Harvey had the most awkward and embarrassing time EVER when he announced the wrong winner of Miss Universe on Sunday.

And since then, social media has been ravished with memes and gifs slagging poor Steve.

But Justin Bieber – who is no stranger to slipping up in front of the camera, we might add – decided to hop on the bandwagon and post a gas meme.

Some genius photoshopped a picture of Mr Harvey onto Justin's Sorry single artwork and added, "Is it too late now to say sorry?" to the picture.

And when the Biebs saw it, he couldn't help but share it immediately.

He did show love to Steve though, writing in his caption, "It's so sad but this is too funny had to post no disrespect."

The Miss Universe contest ended in complete confusion last night as the host of the competition named the wrong winner… and didn't realise until a while after.

The crown was given to Ariadna Gutierrez Arevalo, Miss Colombia, and as she was standing on stage with cheers filling the room, the mortified host, Steve Harvey returned to announce that he made a mistake.

"Ok, folks, um, I have to apologise. The first runner-up is Colombia. Miss Universe 2015 is Philippines."

The camera then flashed to Miss Philippines, Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach, and she started to walk to the front on the stage.

Steve then explained that he read the card wrong and said the runner-up and winner in the wrong order. Big mistake!

I will take responsibility for this, it was my mistake,” he told the audience.

“Please don’t hold it against the ladies, please don’t. I feel so badly but it’s still a great night.”
