It seems that Gemma Collins just can't stay put in the Big Brother house for too long.

After she attempted to flee from the show yesterday, the reality star got into a spot of bother while she was preparing potatoes today.

As she was cutting the veg, Gemma accidently sliced her own finger. Ouch.

After the commotion, she was rushed to the Diary Room for preliminary treatment and was then transferred to hospital because she needed stitches.

"It's through to the bone," she panicked, as Christopher tried to help her.

She later returned to the house a little worse for wear, but is said to be doing OK.

With the rate that this show is going, it's a wonder if anyone will come out on top.

They say blondes have more fun, but ladies with golden locks are having a spot of bother in areas of North Cork.

Hairdressers in Cork are said to be bombarded with woman asking to get a GREEN tinge out of their hair, since there has been a water imbalance in Northern areas.

“It wasn’t long until we noticed lots of people coming in that had this green hue in their hair. We were surprised there was so many."

“Women just wanted to get rid of the colour. It is a big problem," said Kai Runovski, a salon owner in Cork.

Kai said that due to the water imbalance, blonde and grey hair was turning into a “mucky, green shade” and brunettes had a more “forest” green.

At first, the owner of Red Door Beauty Salon was worried the problem was connected to the salon’s colouring products and hired a colour technician.

“She told me the water had very high iron levels and was very acidic, and that was causing it. It’s not just here, you can find places like that in west Cork and in Kerry,” she said.

“It was a shock in the beginning. We’ve learned to buy big gallons of alkaline shampoo all stored in the basement. It’s up to us to find a colour to hide the green.”

After numerous complaints were made to the Mayor of Cork, John Paul O’Shea, he said that  he has brought the issue to the attention of council engineers and agreed a €40,000 upgrade of the local water treatment plant that should solve the problem.

Let's hope there's no more green hair in sight after the upgrade… Unless you want to go down the Kylie Jenner route, that is.

It was smiles all around this week as Louis Tomlinson and his former girlfriend, Briana Jungwirth welcomed their new baby boy into the world, and now it seems they have finally chosen a name.

The new parents have not officially completed the birth certificate yet, but it's believed the baby boy is named Sydney Rain.

A source told The Sun: "Louis and Briana are yet to file a birth certificate but they've agreed on the name Sydney Rain.

"It will be rubber-stamped in the next five days."

As of yet, it isn't certain if their newborn will take Louis or Briana's surname, and the source said that they still have a lot to figure out with custody arrangements.

So, what do you think of Louis' baby name? Is it worthy of One Direction status? Let us know.

It seems that it's one thing after another for the latest Top Gear presenter, Chris Evans.

First, it became known that Chris can't talk while driving, which is a big part of the show, and then it was reported that Mr Evans got motion sickness while driving, which isn't particularly good either.

And now, the Mirror is reporting that Chris has threatened to leave to show, before it has even started.

"Chris isn't a quitter but it was all getting on top of him and he began wondering if it was all worth the hassle. He was being driven to distraction by all this when all he wanted to do was make good television.

"Things got so bad that he made his feelings very clear. It was more or less a 'butt out or I'm out situation'," a source told the newspaper.

It's clear that a lot of people are gearing the show up for failure before they have even given it a chance, but with things going so badly, it's a wonder if it will even make it to our screens.

And, with Jeremy and the lads new show airing on Amazon Prime around the same time, we'll have to wait and see which one wins the top seat.

She's taken her blog to the next level in Ireland, and now Pippa O Connor is hoping to take her food to the next level in The Restaurant.

The model is going to take part in the next series of the show, and will show her cooking skills that was passed on from her late mother.

Her mam, Louise Mullen, who passed away in 2014, was a Cordon Bleu-trained chef and no doubt Pippa will pull some inspiration from her for her menu.

“Pippa was in filming with us for the new season of the show and she was great,” said The Restaurant's pastry chef, Louise Lennox.

“Her mum was a chef, so I think it meant a lot to her as her mum used to teach her to cook. I was surprised at how much food knowledge she had,” she told the Herald.

All of the celebrities that will be on the next series of the show have not been named yet, but the pregnant model and former Irish soccer star Kevin Kilbane have been confirmed.

Princess Diana started her career off as a Montessori teacher, and since Prince George enrolled, schooling trends have inadvertently changed for the better.

The interest in Montessori nurseries has soared because of what people are calling, The Prince George Effect. More and more parents are now keen on putting their children to the same education as the future king, the Mirror reports.

The Maria Montessori Institute in London, which runs a Montessori teacher training centre as well as a number of Montessori schools, reveal that they have been bombarded with parents wanting their children to go to a Montessori nursery since it was Kate Middleton's choice of education.

Prince George first started off with a few hours session, and now is enrolled to attend the school for three to four days a week.

Louise Livingston, director of training at the Institute said, "When it was announced, our phones were ringing off the hook with people asking whether we had space in our nurseries. We're still getting lots of calls from parents. Hopefully Charlotte will go there too."

All we're wondering now is what other trends George will spark as he grows older.

If you were a kid of the naughties, then you have to remember The Lizzie Maguire Movie.

It was the #GirlBoss movie of our teens, and everyone kinda hoped that they would become a famous singer just like Lizzie Maguire.

But, one character in the movie has popped up on our screens recently and we never copped on it was the same actor… Until now.

If you watched the movie, then you probably remember the really hot Italian singer, Paolo, who mistakes Lizzie for his singing partner, Isabella, while she's on a class trip to Rome.

Lizzie soon falls for his romantic ways but then finds out that he's a cheat and wants to embarrass Isabella/Lizzie on-stage at the Italian Music Awards.

Lizzie and Isabella (both played by Hilary Duff) team up to give Paolo a taste of his own medicine in what turned out to be the most badass girl power movie of our teens.

And, guess who that no-good singer was on our fave show ever?!

WELL, it was a love/hate relationship with Paolo, and it was certainly a love/hate relationship with his character, GARRETT, on Pretty Little Liars too.

Yes, the Italian stallion, actor Yani Gellman, went on to play Officer Garrett Reynolds in 23 episodes of PLL. Shocker.

Unfortunately, Garrett was killed off 2012, but as PLL fans, we'll always remember his part on the show.

Vogue Williams has slammed Celebrity Big Brother's slut shaming in her Sunday World column today.

Speaking about the Stephanie and Jeremy controversy, the Dublin DJ wrote about how it's wrong to slut-shame a girl, yet call a guy a "hero" if he sleeps with a woman.

“In this situation I think she is very much in the wrong,” she said.

“Jeremy shouldn’t be going there either, but she is the one in the relationship.”

The model then went on to say that even though it's wrong, there's a serious case of double standards going on with the public over the relationship.

“What has happened now is a clear case of slut shaming and double standards… She’s a twenty-two year old girl and that’s what most of us do at twenty-two.”

“But it’s always different if it’s a girl because automatically she’s seen as a ‘slut’. It really annoys me.”

“Why is it okay for these boys to act like that, yet it’s so bad that Steph wanted to go on a date with them?” Vogue wrote in her column.

“Everyone is entitled to do what they please and if they choose to be promiscuous so be it, but it shouldn’t make a girl a slut and a man a hero.”

We're beginning to think that next Friday should just be called Zayn day as the hottie is not only releasing his first solo single, but he's also doing his first solo interview with Graham Norton.

The ex 1D star teased his single on social media this morning, taking to Twitter to show what we believe to be the cover of his hotly anticipated single.

In the picture, Mr Malik is lying topless, and across him is the name of the new song, Pillow Talk.

And, of course his fans went into meltdown, with one Twitter user saying: "I'm gifting 100 copies to people to get it to #1 follow me," while others posted pictures of excitement.

Another die hard fan wrote: "you are so talented and deserve the world. This will be your year. Can't wait to see what the future holds for you #PillowTalk."

It then wasn't long before he got the song trending on Twitter. Let's just hope it lives up to expectations.

In case you have not heard, tonight's line up for the Ray D'arcy Show is going to be brilliant.

First of all, if you have been in any way watching Celebrity Big Brother, our screens will once again be graced by the hysterical Angie Bowie, former wife of the late David Bowie, who really does live in a world of her own.

While she was not our favourite house mate by a long shot, she did provide us with many a moment of absolute TV gold.

And considering she learned of her ex-husbands passing while in the house, this interview will definitely make for an interesting watch.

Next up is Dean Strang, the beloved lawyer of Steven Avery who is the subject of the Netflix docu-series Making a Murderer, which in case you haven't noticed EVERYONE is watching.

We will be dying to hear his thoughts on the case now that the documentary has taken off but more importantly we want to know what he thinks about becoming an unexpected sex symbol.

Because that's been happening.

Also added to the line up is national treasure Neven Maguire and his wife Amelda who'll be discussing everything from business to pleasure.

We'll also hear from Damo & Ivor star Jules Coll as well as some good aul Irish music from Dublin band Mongrel State.

The show starts on RTE 1 this evening at 9.35pm.

Don't know about you lads but we're staying in.

For the first time ever, the Academy Awards are taking drastic steps to tackle the diversity issue that is plaguing the acclaimed awards ceremony.

Cheryl Isaacs announced yesterday that historic alterations are to happen that will change how the awards are conducted from now on.

"The Academy is going to lead and not wait for the industry to catch up," said a statement by Isaacs.

"These new measures regarding governance and voting will have an immediate impact and begin the process of significantly changing our membership composition."

So what exactly do these new measures entail?

Members who have been enjoying lifetime voting rights will now be restricted and only those who have been active in the film industry in the last ten years will be entitled to vote.

Three new seats will be appointed to the top tier of the Academy and these measures are hoped will see the number of women and diverse members double in the next four years.

PHEW!

Considering that a survey conducted in 2012 revealed that of the five thousand members of the Academy, over ninety per cent were Caucasian and over fifty per cent were over the age of sixty, we reckon these measures could make a significant difference.

This year, the Oscars faced serious criticism from fans and the film industry alike who were quick to point out that the lack of diversity noticeable in the majority of this years nominees.
