Let's be honest, Mischa Barton will always be Marissa to us.

But since The OC, she hasn't really made it big in anything else, so maybe that's why she going down a rather different path.

It has been revealed that the actress is the new host of Joyride, which is like our version of Top Gear.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the show focuses on Mischa and her co-hosts travelling around the world in both new and vintage cars.

The cars and host will also be put to the test as they battle it out against each other every week.

Mischa will be joined by T-Pain, Oliver Trevena and race car driver Brian Vickers.

Well, it's certainly going to be interesting…

They dated on-and-off for eight years – with marriage and engagement rumours regularly swirling.

However, Lewis Hamilton has now opened up about the real reasons why he and the always-gorgeous Nicole Scherzinger didn't ultimately go the distance.

And suffice to say if the former X Factor judge (she's due to return to the reality TV talent show this year) is about – she might want to look away right about now.

“My cars are my babies," the 30-year-old F1 star has now revealed in conversation with Top Gear magazine.

“I used to say, when I had a girlfriend, ‘I’m taking one of the girls out, so you can come if you want, but you come second when it comes to the cars.”

Ouch – don't hold back there, mate.

Nicole, 38, has previously hinted that Lewis had become “complacent” towards the end of their union, which first began back in 2007.

Meanwhile, Mr Hamilton did at least have the manners to mention in the same interview that his victories on-track proved “a bandage” over his broken heart.

Over to you, Ms Scherzinger!

Top Gear is going down a steep, steep hill.

It was an adjustment when Chris Evans and Matt LeBlanc took on the face of Top Gear, however, the public didn't take too well to Chris, and he bowed out of the show.

When Matt graced our screens this year, everyone fell in love with his cheeky ways, but now he's after admitting that he's "not sure" about coming back for another series.

While speaking at a Television Critics Association press tour, the former Friends star said: “I’m not sure what’s happening with Top Gear just yet, but this is my priority,” he said referring to his new US TV show, Man With a Plan.

“I don’t know. I’d like to. There’ nothing officially happening just yet – call the BBC,” he added.

That doesn't sound too good to us!

Top Gear has been in turmoil ever since the exit of Jeremy Clarkson, with ratings taking a major dive in recent months.

Chris Evans, who replaced Jeremy on the show, announced he was quitting on July 4 via Twitter, stating "stepping down from Top Gear. Gave it my best shot but sometimes that's not enough."

Since then, a lot of people have been wondering who will take over from Chris Evans, and hopefully bring Top Gear back to its former glory.

Well, it would seem as though a certain famous rapper is throwing his hat in the ring for the Top Gear gig.

In an interview with the Daily Star, American rapper 50 Cent expressed his interest in presenting the award winning television hit.

“I would love to work on Top Gear, I could save that show for sure, but it would cost them."

Fiddy went on to explain why he would be good for the job, claiming that “there ain’t a car I haven’t owned over the years, my car collection is as good as anybody’s out there.”

Apparently, the In Da Club singer is a huge fan of the show: “Top Gear was one of the world’s iconic shows and it’s a shame it came to this. It’s a show you know you can watch any country you are in."

50 Cent is no stranger to the camera, having starred in a number of hit movies and television shows.

We would absolutely LOVE to see 50 Cent on our screens, rapping his lyrics while attempting to drive 120kmph in a Volkswagen Beetle.

Just as Chris Evans steps down from hosting Top Gear, it seems that another celeb is very keen to take on the job.

Brian McFadden wrote to the BBC on Twitter yesterday, and in a series of messages, begged the bosses to consider him for the job.

The former Westlife singer said that he would "happily drive the best cars in the world and get paid for it."

He also referred to Jeremy Clarkson's ill-fate by promising "not to punch any producers," which eventually led to the host departing from the show.

Finally, Brian offered himself as a "female anchor," and shared a picture of himself wearing a wig and bright red lipstick.

Top Gear bosses have yet to announce who will take over Chris Evans' role, but it's expected that Friends star Matt Le Blanc will return for a second season.

Matt le Blanc is currently in Kerry filming Top Gear with Chris Evans and even though Chris wanted to keep a low profile this weekend, Matt had something else in mind.

He popped up in an epic selfie yesterday and gate-crashed an Irish woman's hen party – and let's be honest, we're jealous.

According to the Irish Mirror,  Sarah Jayne Murphy was celebrating her hen party in Kenmare when Matt drove up in a car behind her and posed for a selfie.

One of the Sarah's hens, Lisa Marie Keane, posted the picture to Twitter, saying: “Thanks for making our hen’s day!!! #kenmare #topgear”

Top Gear hosts Chris Evans and Matt Le Blanc are coming to Ireland this weekend to film a part of the new series in Kerry.

Speaking on BBC Radio 2 this morning, Chris said: Mr Le Blanc and I are going to Ireland on Friday to make a Top Gear film – actually a couple of Top Gear films that will be combined.

"We're thinking of going to the Dingle area."

Matt then began to mention all of the lovely pubs and restaurants on our fair green isle, but Chris shut him down, saying they need to stick to a schedule.

"We haven't got time for any of that. Technically we'll be working obviously, but we'll try and eke out some time."

The new series is set to air next month, yet the latest reports suggest all is not well between the two hosts.

It's not all rainbows and sprinkles in Top Gear land today.

There has been so much controversy over the new hosting line-up for the car show, that we honestly don't know if it will even go ahead.

And now the show's top hosts are in a row over a recent stunt they filmed.

Last month, Matt did a stunt in London's Whitehall which filled the street with smoke, noise and the smell of burning rubber.

After many complaints were made about the donut segment, Mr Evans went on camera to downplay his role in creating the sequences.

He later apologised for it saying, "On behalf of the Top Gear team and Matt I would like to apologise unreservedly for what these images seem to portray.

"This isn't a shoot I'm particularly involved in," he said.

Now, the The Sun reports that the incident hasn't passed the two men by and is a source of bad blood between them.

A source told the paper: "Since the Cenotaph their relationship has deteriorated. Chris thinks Matt has severely damaged the brand.

"Behind the scenes it is very frosty between them."

It seems that Jeremy Clarkson has backed down off his high horse and has apologised to the Irish Top Gear producer who he punched last year.

Oisin Tymon launched legal action against Jeremy and the BBC after the car fanatic punched him and left him with a bloody lip last March.

Mr Clarkson allegedly completely lost his temper when he was told he couldn't order a sirloin steak after a day of filming. He then proceeded to call Oisin a "lazy, Irish c***" while they were at their hotel.

But today, Mr Tymon's lawyers have revealed that the case has been settled and Jeremy paid the producer £100,000 (€126,000).

Jeremy has now issued a statement via his law firm: "I would like to say sorry , once again, to Oisin Tymon for the incident and its regrettable aftermath.

"I want to reiterate that none of this was in any way his fault. I would also like to make it clear that the abuse he has suffered since the incident is unwarranted and I am sorry too that he has had to go through that.

"I am pleased that this matter is now resolved. Oisin was always a creatively exciting part of Top Gear and I wish him every success with his future projects."

Jeremy reportedly tried to apologise to Oisin before, and last June he tweeted that he was "so sad and sorry it's ended like this" after his last Top Gear show with James and Richard aired.

Jeremy Clarkson is known for his bizarre acts, but he shared a photo last night which is causing a lot of hype on Twitter.

The ex-Top Gear presenter posted a snap of two cars, one of which is a police car and captioned it, "my night."

And.. that was it. No other information, no other photos, no nothing. Thanks Jeremy.

The tweet came just hours after it was announced former Friends star Matt LeBlanc will star alongside Chris Evans on the all-new Top Gear.

Matt le Blanc has been announced as one of the presenters of the BBC's revamped hit show, Top Gear.

Yep, the American actor has rather unexpectedly landed a co-hosting role alongside Chris Evans who will replace former hosts Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May.

And if you are wondering how this bizarre hosting duo came about, well it turns out that Matt holds the fastest time for completing the Top Gear racing track in the auto show's history.

The 48-year-old first appeared on the show in 2012 where he confessed he was a bit of a car nerd and was highly entertaining as he and Jeremy dissected his lap.

So on the face of it, it seems the BBC may have made a pretty rogue decision but Matt actually came back to the show and helped to host Top Gear: The Races and he even managed to beat the Stig.

"As a car nut and a massive fan of Top Gear, I'm honoured and excited to be a part of this iconic show’s new chapter. What a thrill!" read a statement by the new host.

Matt will be the first non-British person to host the show in it's entire 39-year history on the air.

We may even sidestep the fact that the show is about cars and give it watch.

It seems that it's one thing after another for the latest Top Gear presenter, Chris Evans.

First, it became known that Chris can't talk while driving, which is a big part of the show, and then it was reported that Mr Evans got motion sickness while driving, which isn't particularly good either.

And now, the Mirror is reporting that Chris has threatened to leave to show, before it has even started.

"Chris isn't a quitter but it was all getting on top of him and he began wondering if it was all worth the hassle. He was being driven to distraction by all this when all he wanted to do was make good television.

"Things got so bad that he made his feelings very clear. It was more or less a 'butt out or I'm out situation'," a source told the newspaper.

It's clear that a lot of people are gearing the show up for failure before they have even given it a chance, but with things going so badly, it's a wonder if it will even make it to our screens.

And, with Jeremy and the lads new show airing on Amazon Prime around the same time, we'll have to wait and see which one wins the top seat.
