Oh we'd heard of pineapple toppings alright, but a watermelon pizza? Nah, that hadn't yet figured on our radar…until now.

After poring over Sharon Hearne Smith's latest release, The No-Cook Cookbook, we are seriously thinking that the healthy life is the one for us.

In honour of the incredible weather we're all getting our sizzle on to, it seems right that we share one of the tastiest – and most refreshing – recipes in the book.

Ladies, we give you the watermelon pizza.

SERVES 2 (or 4 as a starter!)

2 x round watermelon slices, about 20cm in diameter, 2cm thick

2 ripe yellow, orange or red tomatoes, thinly sliced

2 fresh figs

100g feta cheese

50g pitted black olives, halved

25g roasted hazelnuts, roughly chopped

Small handful of fresh mint leaves

Small handful of fresh wild rocket

Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper

RASPBERRY DRESSING:

2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

2 tbsp white balsamic vinegar

100g raspberries

Method

To make the dressing, whisk the oil and vinegar in a small bowl. Add the raspberries and whisk them in gently until roughly crushed. Season to taste.

Remove any seeds from the watermelon slices, if you prefer. Spread with half of the raspberry dressing, reserving the rest.

Arrange the tomatoes in a single layer across each watermelon slice, then cut each ‘pizza’ into six even-sized wedges, before placing the pieces back together in their circular shape on serving plates.

Cut each fig into six even-sized wedges and arrange one on each pizza. Crumble the feta cheese evenly over the top. Dot with the olives and drizzle with the reserved dressing. Scatter over the hazelnuts, mint and rocket, and serve at once.

For a twist…

Meat-eaters can top their pizza with ruffles of Parma or Serrano ham.

Last Sunday saw a more modern take on Ladies Day at the races, and all the gals that attended we're certainly on top of their game.

Taking place in Naas Racecourse, the alternative Spring Ladies Day saw a massive change from the usual attire in order to catch the eye of the stylish judges, model Daniella Moyles and Irish designer Emma Manley.

Thousands attended and basked in the gorgeous sunshine to kick off the racing season, and here, we look at our favourite looks:

The winner of best outfit at Spring Ladies Day was Sarah Donworth, who said: “I’m thrilled to pick up the award for best dressed."

"My style inspiration for the day was summery and fun. My outfit is from Love Cherish," she explained. "I was inspired by the fun take on the day, less restrictive and more about innate style."

We can't wait for the next one!

The last few weeks have been rough for Katy Perry, and it doesn't look like things are about to pick up any time soon.

After been forced to dismiss rumours that her current bae, Orlando Bloom, was getting up close and personal with Selena Gomez, the Firework singer has now learned that her Twitter account has been hacked.

With a staggering 89 million followers, the Twitophere went into meltdown when it appeared the star was tweeting abusive, racist and homophobic tweets from her account.

According to The Independent, Katy's hacker tweeted a link to an unreleased track on SoundCloud and then rubbed salt in the wound by getting in touch with Katy's frenemy, Taylor Swift, to tell her she missed her.

The tweets, which have since been deleted, were accompanied by a message which read: "@sw4ylol #hackersgonnahack."

While representatives for Twitter cannot comment on individual cases due to security reasons, it is understood that Katy's hacker's account is currently active but not fully operational.

Good weather in Ireland is something which should always be taken advantage of, but sometimes even the sight of sun can cause our pasty complexions to redden.

If you’re heading into the bank holiday weekend looking more rosy-cheeked than sun-kissed, fear not because American beauty blogger Donielle Campopiano has the answer: Contour your sunburn!

On Sunday Donielle posted a video to Instagram – which has since been viewed over 70,000 times – showing her followers how to cover their sunburned skin with various coloured concealers and a full-coverage foundation.

It might seem a little extreme but given that temperatures here are set to hit 22 degrees this week Donielle's idea could come in handy!

If you have a pet, it's safe to say you often wonder what they get up to when you're out of the house.

So much so, some people even set up cameras to record their fluffy friends.

Well, The Secret Life of Pets is hitting Ireland on June 24 and it's everything we could have possibly imagined.

The animated flick is all about our mischievous little pals, and it's pretty similar to what we think they get up to in our heads.

This film follows Max, a Jack Russell Terrier, who adores his owner, Katie, but when a sloppy mongrel named Duke enters the picture the two dogs have to go head to head to gain Katie's affection.

And if that wasn't bad enough, disaster hits when Max and Duke are captured, and their friends will do anything to bring them back home.

This movie is seriously everything you think it will be and more. And if you love animals, and feel your pet is part of your family, then this is certainly the movie for you.

And if you love your pet loads, just like they do in this movie, we are giving away a PET-friendly family break to the Twelve Hotel. Here's more info for you to enter our competition!

Speculation surrounding Johnny Depp and Amber Heard's sudden divorce intensified in recent days when word got out that the 30-year-old actress had accused the Pirates of the Caribbean star of domestic abuse.

And with family members, friends and co-stars weighing in from all directions, it was only a matter of time before the Danish Girl star responded to the speculation.

After Johnny's friend, Doug Stanhope, accused the actress of blackmail in a letter which was printed by The Wrap, Amber's lawyer, Peter Sample, defended his client against the accusations.

Insisting that Doug's claims had no grounding in reality, Mr. Sample said: "The allegations against Ms. Heard are absolutely and unequivocally false."

Accusing Doug of 'muckraking for profit', Mr. Sample denies claims that Amber "has been manipulating Johnny Depp and is now blackmailing him by telling about his domestic abuse."

In addition to petitioning for divorce, Amber also sought and was granted a temporary restraining order against her former husband.

Amber's attorney has demanded that The Wrap retract the story.

Fashionistas, rejoice!

Victoria Beckham has taken to social media to share some previously unseen candid photos from BFF Eva Longoria’s Mexican wedding, and we are all OVER them.

The behind the scene pics show the former Spice Girl helping the stunning bride into her wedding dress – a figure hugging white gown which Victoria herself designed.

A second image shows the designer helping a giggling Longoria into her shoes as she prepared to marry businessman, José Bastón, in a sunset ceremony which took place just over a week ago in the lakeside town Valle de Bravo.

In an interview with Hello! magazine, the former Desperate Housewives star explained just how big a role Victoria played in her big day.

She said: “I asked Victoria to do my dress because I wanted it to be special and made with love – and I knew that Victoria would make it with love.”

The newlywed also revealed that Victoria was one of her witnesses: “She signed the paper that says ‘I was here’ – so it was a Victoria Beckham wedding.”

The intimate ceremony was attended by a number of well-known guests including Ricky Martin, Mario Lopez and, of course, the Beckhams, who the bride befriended while David was playing for the LA Galaxy soccer team.

Eva, who has been married twice before, told Hello! that Victoria is one of her best friends and by the looks of those pics she really is.

As any cat owner will know, our feline friends spend a crazy amount of time tending to their personal hygiene.

Watching them get their groom on can be a pretty mesmerising experience, but unfortunately for us, it's not something we can get involved in…until now, that is.

If you've been feeling a little left out during your cat's pamper sessions, the good folk behind LICKI – a new Kickstarter project –  have come up with a solution just for you.

Having designed a silicone brush shaped like a giant tongue which will allow any eager pet owner to involve themselves in the grooming process, Jason O'Mara of PDX Pet Design said: "As a human, you’re left out of the intimate licking ritual."

"Cats groom each other as a form of social bonding," he continued. "There’s also evidence to suggest that cats view and treat their human captors as large cats."

So, just pop on that LICKI Brush and go to town on that cat of yours, girls.

Geordie Shore star, Charlotte Crosby, has revealed that she recently suffered an ectopic pregnancy which has left her fearful that she may never be able to have children.

Speaking during an exclusive interview with Heat magazine, the reality TV star explained that she began experiencing pain during the filming of Geordie Shore: Big Birthday Battle last month.

Reflecting on her thoughts at the time, Charlotte said: "I thought I had a really bad period because I was bleeding and cramping – I can't describe the pain, it was awful."

After four days, Charlotte's pain intensified and the reality star ended up collapsing before being admitted to hospital, saying: "I didn't know what the hell was going on and I was in so much pain."

"Then the X-ray showed how much damage had been caused," she explained. "Because I'd left it a week, it'd torn open my fallopian tube and I was bleeding internally."

Charlotte underwent emergency surgery and explained that her medical team left her in no doubt about the severity of  her situation, saying: "He said: 'If you'd have left it any longer, you could have died.'"

The star, who has been in an on/off relationship with co-star Gary Beadle since Geordie Shore launched in 2011, admits that she's frightened the surgery will have lasting effects on her fertility.

In a very admirable move, Charlotte decided to donate her fee for the interview to the Ectopic Pregnancy Trust and St. John and Elizabeth Hospice.

If the incredible weather wasn't enough to celebrate, it's now been announced that this week's Luas strikes have been cancelled.

Two four-hour stoppages were due to take place on Thursday and Friday this week, but according to SIPTU leader, Owen Reidy, the industrial action has been called off.

While speaking to Morning Ireland earlier today, Mr. Reidy confirmed that SIPTU will be meeting with Luas drivers later today in a bid to resolves issues between themselves and Transdev.

It is understood that Transdev will consider the new proposals and are expected to respond next week.

As it stands, next week's scheduled strikes are still to go ahead, but we're keeping our fingers crossed for a resolution.
