When Luas drivers took industrial action following pay disputes in recent months, thousands of disgruntled commuters suggested that the city would be better served by automated trams.

And it looks like Dublin City Council may be on the same page as this section of the public.

According to The Independent, 'Luas Automated'  – a proposal put forth by Fine Gael councillor Dr. Paddy Smyth – was passed at the Council's Transport Committee meeting earlier today.

It has been established that the committee then called on the new Minister for Transport, the National Transport Authority, Transport Infrastructure Ireland and TransDev to ascertain whether new Luas trams would be in a position to facilitate self-driving software.

Outlining the motivation for the proposal, Dr. Smyth said: "Given the cost to the city caused by this strike in recent months, I feel it is my obligation, as a representative of those who were disproportionately affected, to point out that should the drivers choose to return to the pickets, we must look at all options of returning a functioning tram service in this city."

In spite of this possible future development, Dr. Smyth insists that current drivers will not be replaced by machines, saying: "The passing of the motion does not mean any drivers will be fired from their job and replaced by an automation."

"This (Luas trams) is a very expensive piece of kit to be lying idle during 12 days of industrial action," he argued.

"It is not a proposal with which SIPTU can use to flex it's muscles in the opening act of post austerity industrial relations," he added.

Some of us put a lot of effort into creating the perfect environment for the no-pants-dance and others are total wham, bam, thank you ma'am merchants who wouldn't know a scented candle or John Legend track if it bit them on the arse.

If you're the latter and hoping to inject a little romance into your sex life, you might want to take a leaf out of John Mayer and Khloé Kardashian's books who swear by a solid sex playlist.

After hearing that the youngest Kardashian sister likes to get her grind on to John's cover of Beyoncé's XO, the 38-year-old singer decided to add to the conversation by offering some handy hints and tips when choosing a playlist for the bedroom.

Appearing last night on What What Happens Live, John reminded us that our partners need to really consider the length of their playlist…for obvious reasons.

"I think if you're a guy at least, and you have a playlist, it should be a really long playlist," he told host Andy Cohen after insisting he was flattered that Khloé included his cover in her bedside collection.

"If you're shuffling and the song comes up twice, you wanna make sure you get through a good portion of the songs," he advised.

Sage advice John, sage advice.

We're going to be honest here – in a line-up situation, we'd be as likely to recognise Kendall Jenner's bare boobs as quickly as we would our own these days.

The 20-year-old runway sensation, who has walked for the likes of Chanel, Donna Karan and Victoria's Secret, is definitely no stranger to flashing the flesh for fashion campaigns, and now it looks like Kendall is all for bringing the runway trend to her everyday life.

Whether she's sick of uncomfortable bras that most of us whip off the second we're in the front door or she's hoping to start a trend, the eldest Jenner sister has been ditching the bra on the regular all in favour of a 'let's run wild and free' look.

Flashing her nipple piercing with wild abandon, Kendall has everyone here at SHEmazing! HQ questioning why gravity's pull is so much stronger over here than in Hollywood.

1. Dipping her toe while walking for Marc Jacobs.

2. Going hell for leather in the Big Apple

3. Channelling her inner John Travolta with the unbuttoned to the waistband vibe

4. Bras and off-the-shoulder tops don't mix, in fairness.

5. We generally forget to pack something when we travel as well.

Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake were like a match made in superstar heaven.

The were the golden couple of the 2000s and it seemed like nothing could ever break them apart… Until, Britney allegedly cheated on JT, that is.

So when there were recent mutterings of Britney releasing a new single with a JT Cry Me A River mash-up in it, we couldn't contain our excitement.

Are they going to reunite for a little reunion? Are they teaming up for the love of music? Have they forgiven each other after all these years?!

Brit's upcoming single, Make Me (Oooh), has been on the cards for a while now, but they certainly upped the ante for it's release following a (now deleted) tweet to Britney's publicist asking whether the track "still got the Cry Me A River sample in it?"

Mmmm hmmm.

But actually, the so-called reunion might not be as amicable as once though. Cosmo is reporting that the new song might be less of a Brit and JT collab and more of a Britney-getting-back-at-Justin thing.

Either way, we CAN'T wait for the release.

Caitlyn Jenner is appearing on the summer issue of Sports Illustrated, to celebrate the anniversary of her gold medal win in the 1976 Olympic games in Montreal.

The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star earned first place in the Olympic decathlon 40 years ago, 'with a score that would be competitive for a place on the 2016 U.S team.'

Caitlyn, 66, took to instagram to share her Sports Illustrated cover with her 7.2 million followers.

Bowled over by the cover, one of her follows commented "You look sexy with your gold medal and you are so brave!" and we could not agree more.

Caitlyn told the magazine reporter, Tim Layden, that she had a rather complicated relationship with her medal.

"It commemorates extraordinary work that allowed her to withstand the pain of what is now called gender dysphoria but then was seldom talked about at all" said Tim in his interview.

In an interview with Diane Sawyer in 2015, Jenner came out to the world as transgender, stating that "for all intents and purposes, I'm a woman."

Three months after the groundbreaking interview, Caitlyn covered the July issue of Vanity Fair, wearing a cream corset, and quite literally broke the Internet. (Take that, Kim.)

Caitlyn then starred in her own documentary-series, which followed her through her new life as a woman.

I am Cait received positive praise from critics, due to the way it shed a light on social issues within the transgender community.

Keep doing your thing Cait!

If you're a fan of The Big Bang Theory, then you're not going to be happy with the following news.

Kunal Nayyar, who plays Raj in the show has admitted that series 10 "could be the last."

Speaking on This Morning, Kunal explained that even though the whole cast and crew would love for it to go on, the decision isn't up to them.

"All of us on the show realise how lucky we are on the show and we treasure it. We're not sure if there will be another show like this, we know it is special."

And when Holly and Phillip asked if this is the last time he's going back on to the BBT set, he said: "I don't know to be honest, it could be the end, hopefully it's not. The decisions are not up to us. I hope it isn't."

Fans are already wondering about the future of the show, and are calling out for a movie, but Kunal can't see that happening.

"I mean it's a very difficult format to do for a movie, because you know we shoot in front of a live audience, a live studio audience, with four cameras.

"So unless the movie was a two-and-a-half hour sitcom version of The Big Bang Theory, I don't think we could ever actually do a movie."

Sad news guys, sad news,

We can't think of a better way to dive into the weekend than by kicking off our standard two-day food-fest with a free burger.

According to Lovin Dublin, the good folk behind Featherblade on Dawson Street are totally with us on that one, and have decided to treat the people of our capital city to their new special…completely free of charge.

While new to the world of burgers, the  restaurant – best known for their steaks – have come up trumps with The Smokey, and they're only dying for all of us to get in on the action.

The burger, which took a whole eight months to perfect, looks like the work of a god, and it can be yours for free between 12 and 3pm on Friday.

"We will be serving until we run out," they said in light of this Friday's offer. "We've been working on 'The Smokey'  for eight months and don't think you'll be disappointed."

Ladies, it's go-time.

We all know how difficult it is to find a good job, own your own home and provide for your family these days.

Yet, residents of Kaitangata, a small town in the South of New Zealand are reaching out for new residents to live in their town – for a very little price.

With a population of 800 people, local businesses and town authorities are trying to offer people from other parts of New Zealand, home and land-buying packages with extremely favourable terms.

They're hoping that people and families living in the city might be tempted to join the country lifestyle in the Clutha district, which has an estimated 1,000 jobs on offer.

According to Kaitangata's local mayor, Bryan Cadogen, there are "hundreds and hundreds of jobs, real good paying jobs that give a person a chance."

One of the town's leading recruiters, Evan Dick said: "The housing crisis in New Zealand has made the Kiwi dream unattainable for many people, but in Kaitangata, the Kiwi dream is still a reality.

"This is an old-fashioned community, we don't lock our houses, we let kids run free. We have jobs, we have houses, but we don't have people. We want to make this town vibrant again, we are waiting with open arms."

The houses and land packages are going for around NZ$230,000 (€147,000), which is practically unheard of these days.

"When I was unemployed and had a family to feed, Clutha gave me a chance, and now we want to offer that opportunity to other Kiwi families who might be struggling," Mayor Cadogen told The Guardian.

"We have got youth unemployment down to two. Not 2% – just two unemployed young people.

"So many of the things Kiwis value, such as owning your own home and providing for your family, have become an impossible dream. For a lot of people in New Zealand is just an endless slog. And that really saddens me."

Whiling away a boring Tuesday evening on Tinder has become part and parcel of our generation's down-time, and while we hope a bad date is the worst that will come of it, unfortunately that couldn't be further from the truth.

Swiping right and hooking up might be the start of a modern-day fairytale, but it can also lead to some serious implications for your reproductive and general health.

According to a statement released by the Centres for Disease Control and Prevention, syphilis is on the rise in recent years going from 6,000 in the US at the start of the millennium to a whopping 20,000 just last year.

Having researched the rising numbers associated with the sexually transmitted disease, the Rhode Island Department of Health came to the conclusion that our habit of swiping right may play a bigger part in the worrying pattern than many of us realise.

Commenting on the increase in both gonorrhea and syphilis, officials deduced that "high-risk behaviours,  including using social media to arrange casual and often anonymous sexual encounters” may be responsible for the recent statistics.

And while many STDs are curable with the right medication, these statistics are definitely something to think about the next time…

As anyone who follows Kourtney Kardashian will know, the reality star has been putting a serious effort into her workouts lately.

And it seems the mum-of-threes hard work hasn't gone unnoticed by P Diddy's 25-year-old son Quincy Combs.

According to the Daily Mail, the pair were spotted leaving LA hotspot The Nice Guys together last night after partying at GQ’s 10th annual Love Sex and Madness event.

The star-studded bash was also attended by John Legend, Chrissy Teigen, Kevin Hart and Patrick Schwarzenegger, as well as Kourtney's mother Kris and sister Kim.

Kourtney was also linked to model Quincy back in December – around the time she was supposedly dating Justin Bieber.

The pair were spotted having dinner together in one of her ex-husband Scott’s favourite Beverly Hills restaurants.

If asking him to move in with her wasn't evidence enough, Kylie Jenner has just made her relationship with Tyga social media-official.

In Kylie's most recent Snapchat story, the pair seem to be definitely back on as she shared a photo of them being all cute in the photobooth at Khloe's birthday.

The three snaps are certainly causing a stir between her fans since he had some harsh words for her while they were broken up.

And if moving in and sharing a house wasn't commitment enough, it also looks like the pair went car shopping together yesterday.

That being said, the Kardashian clan apparently don't think the relationship is going to last, but one thing's for sure – the relationship reunion snaps are pretty cute.
