Chat show hosts, in recent years, have been knocking it out of the park when it comes to their ability to create hype around particular segments of their programme.

Carpool Karaoke, Celebrities Read Mean Tweets, Drop the Mic and The Big Red Chair have, at times, surpassed the show's main interviews, so it's no real surprise that some of them are set to get their own spin-off series.

And the latest one to do so is Graham Norton's Big Red Chair. (Hurrah!)

Hosted by Graham himself, the much-loved chat show host will recall his favourite stories (there have been more than 500 so far!) before being reintroduced to the people who dared share their most embarrassing stories on national television.

Hitting our screens on Jan 6, we'll definitely be tuning in for this one.

According to emerging reports, three young women are currently under investigation following the brutal attack on 18-year-old Castleblayney woman, Kym Owens, in Co Kildare last month.

Kim, who is a first year student in NUI Maynooth, was making her way to her digs in the Moyglare Abbey estate when she was assaulted on November 20.

Launching an investigation into the shocking incident, Gardaí took more than 200 statements, and it has been confirmed that three women are currently under investigation.

"Three young females are being investigated for the attack, and it is hoped that they will be interviewed in the coming days," a source revealed.

Urging the public to come forward with any information they may have, a senior officer reinforced the importance of the appeal.

"They can come back to Gardaí in full confidence, they will not be in trouble or anything like that. Their information could be crucial," he said.

Kym, who is currently receiving treatment in James Connolly Memorial Hospital in Blanchardstown, sustained sever injuries during the assault including broken eye sockets, a broken jaw and a broken nose.

A week on from the death of Louis Tomlinson's mother Johannah Deakin, her husband has shared her thoughts on the impact Directioners have had on her son's life.

Johannah, who passed away after a six-month battle with leukaemia at the age of 43, requested her husband, Dan, share her words with One Direction fans in the aftermath of her death, and last night he did just that.

Taking to Johanna's Twitter page, he began: "Hi, it's Dan. Johanna asked for me to send this afterwards."

"She wanted to thank you all, and to let you know that you have been amazing, right from the start," he continued,

"You changed Louis' life, but also her life. Your support now is as strong if not stronger than ever. So from Johannah one last time, thank you for everything."

The series of tweets have been liked almost a quarter of a million times in just 12 hours, with One Direction fans rushing to extend their sympathies.

"I am literally here speechless, I just can say thank you Dan, for being so strong and for telling us what she wanted," wrote one Twitter user.

"The fact that she thought of us even in her darkest days really makes me cry, she was a wonderful mother and woman and we are always here, by your side, for Louis and your family."

"She was a beautiful soul who gave us the best idol we could have ever wished for," added another.

Following his emotional X Factor performance at the weekend, Louis was praised for his display of strength and courage in the face of such personal heartbreak.

Cats have a bit of a bad reputation around Christmas time, mostly for pulling down Christmas trees in the pursuit of playing with the shiniest baubles.

However, these festive felines clearly love the winter season, and are giving us all the feels over on Instagram.

IT Sligo have issued a statement following the discovery of a note on campus which appears to outline a student's intention to carry out a mass shooting next month.

The note, which was made public this week, has been brought to Gardaí attention who have, according to the college's statement, conducted a series of enquiries.

The handwritten note details a student's intention to bring a firearm into an exam hall next month, with the note beginning: "I feel very sad because my class members bully me, they are a bunch of d*cks, they pick on me because my English is very bad."

"I promised myself that I’d bring a fully loaded Glock 17 and smoke them all. I bought the gun on the dark web on Silk Road. It’s going to come by the 9th of December and I’ll bring it to an exam hall on the 15th of January and use it then."

"I plan to kill six students within the period of ten minutes, slowly and painfully. I will have two magazines with equal amounts of 40 bullets," the note finished.

Commenting on the matter, IT Sligo said: "The Institute is aware of a recent incident on campus where an unsigned note was left in a classroom."

"The matter was immediately referred to the Gardaí who have conducted a series of enquiries," the statement continued.

"The safety and security of our students and staff is paramount. While the Gardaí assessment is that there is no viable immediate threat, their investigation is continuing."

"All appropriate security arrangements are in place – and the Institute continues to consult with the Gardaí on a daily basis."

Ladies, prepare yourself for a Christmas miracle.

Six months after Spot Gallagher went missing from his family home in Co Meath, the Jack Russell has made his way back just in time for the festive season, and everyone here at SHEmazing! HQ is currently weeping into their sleeves.

According to numerous reports in today's papers, the Gallagher family have compared Spot's return to a lotto win, with father Jason saying: "The fella that won the €11m in the lottery didn't feel as good as I did last week."

Reflecting on the impact Spot's disappearance had on the family and their other pet Dora, Jason said: "It was unbelievable. It was like a death in the family. Samuel was so upset, and the German Shepherd went off her food and lost all her hair."

After months of searching, Jason explained that he received a phone call which suggested the family's luck had changed.

"We had a call from the Collon Animal Sanctuary in Louth saying they had Spot," Jason said. "Someone had picked him up near Drogheda thinking he was a stray and held on to him until an allergy forced them to hand him over to the sanctuary."

"I couldn't believe it. When I picked him up last Wednesday there were tears from everyone. The kids cried, the wife cried and the neighbours cried."

"It was pure joy. When the big fella comes on Christmas Eve, my kids won't be smiling as much as when they saw that dog again."

And if anyone needs us, we'll be phoning home to tell our pets how much we love 'em.

The love lives of the Kardashians have never been simple, but things took a slightly weird turn when Rob proposed to and had a child with Kylie Jenner's love rival Blac Chyna, who also happens to be the mother of Kylie's boyfriend Tyga's child, King.

Slightly confused? Us too.

However, the quartet of co-parents seem to be making things work, with Kylie playing babysitter to King on the regular, and now the 19-year-old is even renting out one of her lavish homes to her big brother and his new family.

Rob, Chyna, King and their newborn daughter Dream moved into Kylie's Hidden Hills mansion this week in order to be closer to Rob's family.

The make up mogul owns two other homes in the area, not including her own. That's quite a property portfolio for a teenager.

While it's not unusual for siblings to help each other out, we're sure that this move will make for an interesting episode of Rob & Chyna.

There was some confusion yesterday after Kanye West strolled into Trump Towers in New York City to meet with POTUS Donald J Trump.

After posing for a few pictures with the president, the rapper refused to answer any questions about his visit.

The rapper, who has previously made his ambitions for presidency in 2020 clear, later tweeted:

Yeezy, who didn't vote in this year's election, seems to have moved his ambitions back four years after his meeting with the POTUS.

He also took to Twitter to reveal the details of their discussion.

"I wanted to meet with Trump today to discuss multicultural issues," tweeted the rapper.

"These issues included bullying, supporting teachers, modernising curriculums, and violence in Chicago."

"I feel it is important to have a direct line of communication with our future President if we truly want change."

No official details of their meeting have been released.

Kanye was recently released from hospital after suffering from a break down caused by exhaustion, and is currently in outpatient treatment.

This week, Lady Gaga wrote an open letter about her history with PTSD.

Then, Piers Morgan, as usual, supplied his Twitter feed with commentary on PTSD, saying that he believes it's only for the likes of war veterans.

This obviously didn't sit right with Gaga, and she tweeted Piers, saying that she has worked with many people on the issue, one being Joe Biden, and is thoroughly educated with it.

Piers believes that it has become the latest "celebrity accessory," and these celebs don't have anything concrete to back up their claims.

Gaga then said that if anyone in Piers' family suffers from PTSD, she prays for them.

And now, the debate is on.

We don't even know where to start with this one, but it's definitely something you need to see… just for how weird it is.

Graphic designer Michal Kruthamer created an Instagram account where she superimposes Donald Trump's head onto the Queen of England's body.

It's creepy. It's weird. It's laughable and it's totally mind boggling… But we can not stop scrolling.

Enjoy ladies (we'd have a glass of wine if we were you):
