Whether you need a space for work or study, there are ways of making it much more productive with minimal effort – which is our type of effort, obviously…

Here are some ways of getting your study space into tip-top condition to ensure you get the most out of your work:

Light
Having a bright space to work in is really important, but never underestimate the calming effects of a lamp either. On those dull days we have a lot in Ireland, a lovely orange-y light emitted into the room will help you feel warm and cosy allowing you to work away in comfort.

Air
While it can be nice to have two hot water bottles strapped to each leg, one on our middle and another for our back, making sure the room has air circulating is really important for concentration levels.

Plants
Not only do plants look nice, they also greatly improve the air quality of a room by reducing carbon dioxide levels. Businesses with more plants are said to have more productive workers who make less mistakes. We’re sold!

Blankets and pillows
Pretty pillows and blankets will make you feel cosy and by decorating your space will make it feel your own.

Candles
Many candles emit a subtle smell and a dim light which will make your space seem peaceful and snug. Just remember to blow them out!

Tennis star Andy Murray came through a tough set to beat his Czech opponent Tomas Berdych at the Australian Open yesterday, but it was his fiancée Kim Sears that made headlines.

Kim got a bit too wrapped up in the tension of the game and was caught on ESPN cameras wildly cursing as she watched the match.

Although no microphones caught her f-bombs (phew), it's clear she was not singing Tomas' praises:

Lip-readers have deciphered her outburst as "'F***** have that you Czech flash f***" or something close to it.

Ouch.

When asked about Kim's f-bombs, Andy didn't seem too bothered, saying, "I was told about that. When there’s a lot of tension surrounding something which you [the media] created, then it’s completely normal that the whole first set everyone was tight… In the heat of the moment you say stuff that you regret."

We absolutely agree, Andy, we're just glad our rants have never been caught by international TV cameras!

It's been eight years since a VERY angry Twink (Adele King) left a furious voicemail on her ex-husband David Agnew's phone, and the nation cringed in her honour as it was leaked online.

In Twink's own words, from her 2013 autobiography, "I told him a few home truths before concluding with the point that it was high time that he zipped up his mi**ey."

Yup, pretty much.

Now, the panto star's eldest daughter Chloe Agnew, 25, has spoken out about how the leak affected her and her sister Naomi, saying the whole thing was "awful."

Speaking to the John Murray show on RTÉ Radio One yesterday, the singer said, "Ah look, you know what these things happen and there’s nothing you can do about, but it it was an awful awful thing to happen… Just like anybody whose personal problems come out and are shared with the whole nation."

Chloe says her and Naomi struggled to cope when details of their parents' high-profile split made headlines. "It was very tough, obviously," she said. "Myself and Naomi were very young and I think the toll it took on us, trying to maintain a young teenager's lifestyle while having that splashed across the papers was very tough."

But the Celtic Woman performer said it's not something that bothers her these days. "What can you do? You have to just deal with it and get on with it… it's only ever made us stronger and now there's a little pact and a bond that we have that's unbreakable," she told John.

As for Twink, she has no regrets. "I can honestly say, with hand on heart, that if I had to make that phone call again I would – happily," she wrote in her book… which was accurately titled Twink Unzipped.

Thunder buddies are forever!

We've been getting excited for Ted 2 ever since we heard news of a sequel, and the official trailer is finally here. Mark Wahlberg is reunited with his R-rated best pal in the follow up to the hit 2012 comedy, which will be released this June.

New mum Mila Kunis sadly won't appear as John's wife Lori, so we can only assume it's all over between them… but there's a new love interest in the form of Amanda Seyfried, who plays the lawyer tasked with proving that Ted is in fact a real person with human rights just like the rest of us.

Sequels to hit movies always run the risk of being a disappointment, but we definitely got a few laughs out of this trailer so that can only be a positive sign! Plus, any film with a Morgan Freeman cameo gets our vote.

Radio 1 DJ and TV presenter Jameela Jamil has announced she is single again.

The star revealed that she had parted ways with the man she described as her "first love," saying, "It was amicable. We parted with all the love in the world."

Jameela always stayed extremely tight-lipped about her relationship, never revealing her boyfriend's name in interviews or on social media.

Nevertheless the pair seemed very serious and had been a long-term couple.

Speaking about how she is coping with the split, Jameela told The Sun that she plans to spend some time travelling the world. "I'm just getting on with it," she said. 

"I'm going to go travelling all over the place, so I don't have time for a boyfriend. I want to go while I've got no responsibilities."

What does she have in mind for the trip? "It's sort of like Eat, Pray, Love but more like Eat, Eat, Love," said the presenter. Sounds like our kind of holiday!

The next episode of Gay Byrne's RTÉ One series The Meaning Of Life airs this Sunday, and if this clip is anything to go by, it's going to be pretty intense.

Former Late Late Show host Gay will chat to Stephen Fry about his career, his passions and his recent marriage in the full-length episode, but the most mind-blowing part has to be this short preview, in which Stephen discusses his views on religion.

When asked by Gay what he might say if he did "walk up to the pearly gates" to meet God, the openly atheist Stephen gives a powerful and beautifully worded response.

This is well worth a watch, if only for Gay's hilarious "I have NO idea what to say" face:

Just before Christmas, HBO treated us ot a teeny tiny teaser of Game of Thrones' upcoming fifth season.

Now the full trailer has been released, and we can't contain ourselves!

US viewers at an IMAX screening of Season 4's last two episodes were given a special surprise at the end when the Season 5 trailer began playing.

Although HBO has not yet released the trailer via their YouTube channel, we reckon that will happen later today. For now, get watching and prepare to get VERY excited.

Winter is coming, people. Set your alarms for April 13th!

Johnny Depp could be a married man by next weekend!

The Pirates of the Caribbean star reportedly plans to marry his model girlfriend Amber Heard in a secret ceremony on the weekend of February 7th.

The pair, who have a 23-year age gap, got engaged in December 2013 but hectic work schedules have forced them to put off the wedding until now. The secret ceremony will take place on Johnny Depp's 45-acre personal island in the Bahamas. Handy enough!

Just 50 guests have been invited, according to reports, and as accommodation is limited, many of the wedding party will sleep on Johnny's yacht, which is moored nearby. Those in attendance will include Amber's family and Johnny's two children from his relationship with Vanessa Paradis, Lily Rose and Jack.

Next weekend was the only one that suited both bride and groom, according to one source. "She's filming a movie in London, and he's getting ready to film the next Pirates of the Caribbean in Australia. So this is the only time that everyone could get together," an insider told Page Six.

Design legend Stella McCartney will be the woman behind Amber's dress, but we reckon she'd look stunning in anything!

The couple met in 2011 when they both starred in The Rum Diary. This will be Johnny's second marriage – he split from wife Lori Anne Allison in 1986 after three years. Given that this wedding will take place 32 years after his first, Johnny must really have been waiting for The One!

Sad news from Jodie Kidd's camp today as it's been confirmed the model has split from her second husband David Blakeley.

Jodie and ex-soldier David met in November 2013 and got engaged just two months later.

The split was announced yesterday in a statement released by the model which read, "It’s with sadness that David and I have separated. My priority remains my son Indio." Jodie's two-year-old son is from her first marriage to polo player Andrea Vianni, which ended in 2013.

At the time of their engagement, both Jodie and David seemed smitten, with the model saying she was "on cloud nine" and David describing their bond as "extremely special and unique and irreplaceable."

But a source close to the 36-year-old says it's clear Jodie rushed into things by getting married again so soon. "She now admits they rushed into the marriage and [they] didn’t really know each other well enough to make such a big commitment… It just wasn’t working so they mutually made the difficult decision to end things rather than stay in a relationship that didn’t have a future," an insider told The Sun.

It's been a hectic few weeks for Jodie, who was drafted in to replace Sally Bercow in Channel 4 ski show The Jump just three weeks ago, and was flown out to Austria to join the other contestants at the last minute.

We hope she has lots of family and friends supporting her from back home at this tough time.
