If Gary Barlow had any notions that his Sports Relief song Greatest Day – a cover of the Take That hit – would become the official World Cup song, they have certainly been dashed!

The former X-Factor judge, may have gotten Gary Lineker and Girls Aloud singer Kimberly Walsh to feature on the track but it has not been a hit with his fans.

The song which was part of Sports Relief had been endorsed by the FA but there are no plans to release it as a single and it has been removed from iTunes.

Unfortunately, while the single is a Comic Relief production, they don’t have plans to release it either.

They said: “There are currently no plans to release the version Greatest Day shown on the Sport Relief 2014 night of TV as a single. The video will be available to view on YouTube during the World Cup.”

This flop comes not too long after the singer and his bandmates Mark Owen and Howard Donald were involved in a tax avoidance scheme.

Hmm, maybe he should go back to being an X-Factor judge – we liked him on that!

Taylor Swift has admitted that she is jealous of Ed Sheeran’s voice.

We know, we wanted her to be jealous of a girl too, but let’s face it, these two are never, ever gonna happen. Ever.

In a glimpse of Ed’s MTV documentary Nine Days and Nights, Taylor can be seen saying she is super jealous of Ed’s smooth voice, “The first thing that struck me was his voice. I’ve never been more jealous of anything in my life.”

Aww, we love Ed’s voice too, Taylor!

Ed supported Taylor on her Red tour last year and the two became very close with much speculation that they were dating.

Hometown are the newest band from Louis Walsh’s management and we think they are going to be a success. The six lads are set to follow in the footsteps of Boyzone and Westlife in true Louis style, by launching on the Late Late Show this Friday.

Frightening news this morning as it is revealed that Avril Lavigne’s ex husband, Deryck Whibley was hospitalised for over a month due to excess drinking.

The Sum 41 singer wrote on his website that his liver and kidneys had collapsed due to all the years of hard drinking he had been doing: “I was drinking hard every day … I then collapsed to the ground unconscious.”

Deryck (34) was sedated for a week in the hospital following his collapse.

The singer now says he wants to share his experience with his fans to show the dangers of drinking too much alcohol: “I’m not preaching or anything but just drink responsibly. I didn’t and look where it got me.”

He was also told by doctors that if he had one more drink, he could die: “If I have one drink, the doc’s say I will die.”

Deryck posted some frightening pictures of himself in the hospital so show the perils of drinking too much alcohol.

Deryck was married to Avril Lavigne in 2006 but the pair parted ways in 2009 with a divorce finalised in 2010. Avril is now married to Nickelback singer, Chad Kroeger.

OK, we’re being very nosey but…

The net worth of Ireland’s most famous celebrities has been revealed – and we’re just dying to know!

According to The Sunday Times’ 26th Annual Rich List, Irish mega band U2 still has the top spot of Ireland’s richest entertainers with a fortune of €516 million.

Lend us a few quid Bono…

Larry and the lads are closely followed by Lord of the Dance Michael Flatley, who takes second place with a cool €233 million.

We knew we should have kept up those Irish Dancing lessons!

Irish singer/songwriter, Enya, is ‘sailing away’ with around €106million.

One Direction star Niall Horan entered the list for the first time last year and, at only 20-years-old, is already sitting pretty with a net worth of €17 million.

1D still have a lot of catching up to do to take over from U2, however, as their combined wealth is a mere €84 million!

Former Girls Aloud singer Nadine Coyle has remained the same as last year with a net worth of €7milliion. Not too shabby!

The chart of Britain and Ireland’s top 50 music millionaires is in the Sunday Times Rich List 2014 this weekend.

Oh. Em. Gee. Ed Sheeran is reportedly playing a gig in Dublin’s Vicar Street this coming Monday, May 5th.

While the gig is being held in Dublin, it will also be streamed live from his website, beginning at 9.30pm.

The gig will give fans a chance to see Ed perform some songs from his upcoming album,  ‘X ‘or ‘Multiply’ which is set for release on June 20th.

Dublin isn’t the only city to get a surprise Ed Sheeran gig as he will also perform in London and Ipswich also.

N’Sync member, Joey Fatone, has some choice words for The Backstreet Boys!

The former member of N’Sync was speaking to Huffington Post when he spoke about The Backstreet Boys recent reunion saying: “I feel like they just need the money … No offense guys.”

But will N’Sync be reuniting like their ’90s counterparts?

No. The singer said: “Absolutely, 100% no … at this time.”

So, does that mean maybe then?

Somehow we doubt the lads from N’Sync will be invited on tour with The Backstreet Boys now!
