Meghan Markle

We had NO idea that Beyoncé, Jay-Z and Meghan Markle were linked in any way, but the Carters' tribute to the Duchess of Sussex took everyone by surprise.

The married power couple were honoured at the 2019 Brit Awards, winning the prize for Best International Group, which Beyoncé won alongside Destiny's Child in 2002.

Though they weren't actually in attendance at the O2 in London, they graciously accepted their trophy with a surprising video message, and a surprise for Meghan.

At the beginning, Beyoncé and JAY-Z recreate their iconic Louvre museum music video for APESH*T, where they pose in front of Leonardo da Vinci’s infamous Mona Lisa.

This time, in the world-famous painting’s place is a portrait of Meghan Markle herself donning a sparkling tiara and pearl necklaces.

“Thank you so much to the Brit awards for this incredible honour,” Beyoncé quotes to the camera. “You guys have always been so supportive. Everything is love. Thank you.”

The rapper then replies to Beyoncé's thank you message, cheekily saying, “You’re welcome,” and then the unreal duo turn to look at the portrait.

Beyoncé later shared an image to Instagram of the portrait, captioning it with a reference to Destiny's Child;

“Thank you to the Brits for the award for Best International Group. I won this award back in 2002 with my besties, Kelly and Michelle,” she wrote. “How lucky am I to have been in a group with my other best friend, the GOAT Hova."

Beyoncé gave a short explanation of the King and Queen of Hip-Hop's choice to include Meghan, congratulating her on the royal pregnancy.

“In honour of Black History Month, we bow down to one of our Melanated Monas,” she wrote. “Congrats on your pregnancy! We wish you so much joy.” Awwww.

Artist Tim O’Brien's illustration previously appeared on the cover of the alumnae magazine for Meghan’s sorority, Kappa Kappa Gamma.

Meghan is celebriting her baby shower in New York with her close gal pals, and has previously spoken about her bi-racial background.

“While my mixed heritage may have created a grey area surrounding my self-identification, keeping me with a foot on both sides of the fence, I have come to embrace that,” she wrote for Elle in 2015.

“To say who I am, to share where I’m from, to voice my pride in being a strong, confident mixed-race woman… I am enough exactly as I am.’" Meghan continued.

Congrats to the Carters on their win, and to Meghan for having the honour of Beyoncé saying your name. What we'd pay for that prize…

George Clooney has come to the defence of his friend, Meghan Marrkle.

The Duchess of Sussex has been getting harsh treatment from the media since she joined the Royal family and that scrutiny has only accelerated since she married Prince Harry and announced that she was expecting their baby.

Now, her friend and Hollywood actor George Clooney has something to say about what she has endured – even comparing her treatment by the public to that of the late Princess Diana.

While promoting his upcoming Hulu series Catch-22, he said, ''They’re just chasing Meghan Markle everywhere, she’s been pursued and vilified.''

The 57-year-old continued, ''She’s a woman who is seven months pregnant and she has been pursued and vilified and chased in the same way that Diana was and it’s history repeating itself.”

He added, ''We’ve seen how that ends. I can’t tell you how frustrating it is to see that,” referring to Princess Diana’s fatal car crash in 1997 during which she was being chased by paparazzi.

His comments come after a report suggested he would be godfather to Harry and Meghan’s baby.

There’s no doubt we’re all rather envious of Meghan Markle’s style. The Duchess of Sussex always manages to look chic and flawless no matter what.

She’s rocked some of the most stunning gowns, fierce suits and the most beautiful coats during her royal engagements.

When it comes to hair, there is one look that Meghan always seems to turn to. Her signature hairdo- the bun.

Meghan makes the simple hair style look so demure, but whenever we try to recreate it we seem to resemble Ms Trunchbull from Matilda.

Luckily, Easilocks and celebrity hair stylist Shane O’ Sullivan are here to save the day with their step-by-step guide to achieving Meghan’s go-to look.

Step One- Start off by applying Easilocks Rose Gold Oil to wet hair and blow drying your hair smooth and straight.

Step Two- For instant volume clip in the short ‘Silky Straight’ hair piece in the Cheryl x Easilocks collection to the back of the head, as low down as possible.

Step Three- Use the Easilocks Steel Pin Brush to ensure your hair is tangle-free and ready to style. Choose whether you want your hair slicked back or in a centre parting.

Step Four- Gather all of the hair into a ponytail, brushing in the flyaways and lumps and hold it in your desired place (low, mid or high.) If you would like some loose hair out at the front, now is the time to pull a few strands from the ponytail. Also leave a small section of the hair out of the ponytail, about the circumference of a 5 penny piece.

Step Five- Once you are happy with the positioning, twist the hair round into a bun and fasten using a clear hair tie. Wrap the excess hair around the tie and pin it at the base of the bun with one bobby pin, preferably the colour of your own hair.

It’s as easy as that. If anyone needs us we’ll be practicing this look for the remainder of the day.

It looks like the Duchess of Sussex will follow in the footsteps of Princess Diana and the Duchess of Cambridge after all as the mum-to-be is planning on giving birth in the famous Lindo Wing at St. Mary’s Hospital.

It was previously reported that Meghan was going to give birth to her baby boy or girl at Frimley Park Hospital in Surrey.

The hospital is closer to their new home Frogmore Cottage taking only half an hour to get to.

According to Hello! the former actress is set to give birth in the London hospital after all.

It is believed the staff at the hospital have been asked not to take any holidays in April, which is when Meghan’s due date is.

Meghan and Harry are not far away from becoming parents for the time.

And as they gear up to welcome their first child, they have been busy getting their home ready in preparation.

The couple is residing at their Cotswold home and Harry's Nottingham Cottage in Kensington Palace now.

The Palace announced their move to Frogmore Cottage in November, saying that the pair would be there in early 2019.

So what's Frogmore Cottage like?

A gift from the Queen, it boasts 10 bedrooms and renovations are in process.

According to ELLE, ''The hope is the renovation work at Frogmore Cottage will be complete before the baby arrives.''

The plans for the house include two conservatory extensions, extensive landscaping, permission for a bedroom to be built above a studio on the property, and a few new fireplaces.

Playing with their little on in the gardens will be something else for the couple to look forward to, as it is on private property and there will be no intrusion.

Meghan is working with designers Vicky Charles and Julia Corden of Charles and Co.

Charles worked as Soho House brand's head of design and worked previously on Soho Farmhouse's look, which is near Harry and Meghan's Cotswolds home, if you want to get some inspiration as to the look they are going for.

We're sure Frogmore will be a home where the trio makes many happy family memories together.

The Duchess of Sussex is set to follow in the footsteps of Princess Diana and The Duchess of Cambridge by featuring on the cover of one of the most famous magazines.

Rumour has it British Vogue are eager for the mum-to-be to feature on the cover of their magazine and we are hoping the former Suits star says yes to their proposal.

Speaking of their desire to work with Meghan, Editor in Chief Edward Enninful told Express that the younger royals are paving the way for new traditions.

He gushed about how Meghan has breathed new life into the Royal Family: “I am so into the young royals. Meghan is an example of how far we’ve all come.”

Meghan won’t be the first royal to feature on the cover of the magazine. The late Princess Diana featured on the cover of the publication numerous times in 1981, 1991, 1994 and 1997.

The Duchess of Cambridge graced the cover of the 100th-anniversary issue of British Vogue so we are sure Meghan won’t pass up this opportunity.

Enniful even teased a joint cover with both Meghan and Kate. “They are different, it’s all fun and games. I’d love them both to be on the cover of Vogue,” he said.

The most recent royals to feature in the publication were Princess Eugenie and her sister Princess Beatrice. The sisters featured in the magazine last year so there’s no doubt the Royals are huge fans of British Vogue.

Meghan Markle is truly a style icon, defining an era of pregnancy style with simple separates in stunning shades.

The Duchess likes a high-low mix of designer and high street finds to make up her sophisticated wardrobe, and her most recent outfit turned some major fashion heads.

Meghan opted for a light-knit body-con dress that showed off her baby bump perfectly.

The dress hits just above the knee, and features long sleeves and a high cut neckline.

It also features a delicate ruching effect on the left side, to define a waist obscured by a baby bump.

Best of all, the dress comes in at just €27.99 from high street haven, H&M.

MAMA Fine-knit Dress

Meghan styled her dress with a cream coat, handbag and shoes to create a monochrome effect.

We would pair the dress with white trainers and a denim jacket for a casual look, or dress up with a low heel and clutch for a spring wedding.

Sadly, the dress is sold out in Meghan's chosen cream shade, but they also have it in a marl grey.

We can all admit we’d love to live like a member of the royal family, especially after seeing Prince Harry and Meghan’s stunning Oxford home.

The first ever image of the property has been released by The Sun and we must admit we are hopelessly in love with the duo’s country pad.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex moved into the £2.5million farmhouse before their May wedding last year.

The property has four bedrooms, a large dining room, an outdoor seating area and even a two-bedroom cottage for Harry and Meghan’s staff.

The dream home is set in four acres of beautiful Oxfordshire land.

A friend of the royal couple told The Sun: “Meghan adores the area. She and Harry love walking the dogs there, and they can entertain their friends in complete solitude.”

“It’s a fabulous place with stunning views and extraordinarily private. It’s set in a small bowl of the beautiful countryside so is not overlooked in any way,” they added.

It is believed the parents-to-be will keep the cottage, even when they move into their new home in the coming weeks.

Kensington Palace confirmed that the parents-to-be are planning on moving early in the new year ahead of the arrival of their first child.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will move into Frogmore Cottage once refurbishments are complete. It is believed the house is undergoing a large transformation to ensure it is a suitable home for a family.

The 10 bedroom house will be turned into a lavish family home. It will feature a nursery and even has space for a yoga studio and a gym.

Frogmore Cottage is located in Windsor and holds a very special place in Harry and Meghan’s hearts.

She swapped the world of acting for the world of tiaras and palaces, but it looks like Meghan Markle may be returning to her old roots.

Rumour has it the former actress may be returning to drama series Suits for a special episode.

It is believed that show bosses want her to reprise her role as Rachel Zane for a mere few minutes in one episode.

If Meghan would return to the show she would receive a huge donation for a charity of her choice. The donation could be anywhere between £2 and £6 million, The Mirror claimed.

“No final figure has yet been arrived at but negotiations are likely to be opened in the very near future,” a source stated.

"I’ve heard sums ranging from two to six million being kicked around and that sounds a lot – but it would be one of the biggest marketing coups in TV history.”

It is believed NBC Universal is eager for the former actress to return and believe this mass charity donation could sway the Queen, who has to give Meghan her approval to do so.

The Duchess would film the special scene in England and it would only take approximitely two days, according to sources.

Surely Meghan could take a break from her royal duties for a handful of days and channel her inner Rachel Zane again.

We’ll be eager to see if Queen Elizabeth says no to this proposal. We’re sure she’ll find it hard especially with such a massive charity donation on offer.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are set to welcome their first child into the world in the coming months. Picking a baby name is one of the biggest decisions any new parents will face and it’s no different for Harry and Meghan.

There’s even more pressure on the pair as the world will be waiting to hear what name the beloved couple pick for their baby.

Many people believe they will pick Diana if they have a daughter, after Harry’s late-mum, however, new reports have seen a spike in one girls name and we adore it.

Bookmaker Coral has found that Victoria is officially the front-runner if former Suits actress Meghan gives birth to a baby girl.

Victoria has been a popular name with the royals for generations and is a perfect option for Harry and Meghan’s first born.

The name Victoria is the Latin word for 'victory' or 'conquer' and is used as the feminine form corresponding to the name Victor.

Victoria was the name of the goddess of victory in Roman mythology.

The name is the current favourite at 8-1, followed by Diana at 10-1 and Alice at 12-1.

If the Duke and Duchess welcome a boy it is believed they will call him Albert. However, other reports claim Harry is hoping to honour his grandfather Prince Philip by picking Philip as his son’s moniker.

Albert is currently at 10-1. Other popular choices include Arthur and Alfred.

We are so excited for Harry and Meghan to become parents. There’s no doubt they’ll pick the perfect name for their baby boy or girl when the time comes.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle enjoyed their first Christmas together this year as a newlywed couple.

The pair attended Christmas day service at the Church of St. Mary Magdalene, before spending the rest of the day with the royal family.

On St Stephen's Day however, there was a surprise in store. Despite previous report that Meghan had banned Harry from partaking in the Traditional Royal Boxing Day Hunt, the pair were in attendance.

Harry joined his brother William on the hunt at Wood Farm, with Meghan and Kate Middleton joining them for lunch following the hunt.

The couples enjoyed a light lunch of salads and cold cuts.

It was widely reported that Meghan had banned Harry from participating in the hunt due to her love of animals, as she is an animal rights activist.

'An insider told The Sun: “William and Harry spent the whole day on the shoot.'

'Kate and Meghan joined them for lunch with the Queen and the rest of the Royal party.'

The Duke of Edinburgh did not take part in the hunt but he and the Queen also joined the party for lunch after the trek.

Harry did not attend the hunt last year, on what was believed to be Meghan's wishes at the time.
