Halloween is just around the corner, and things are certainly starting to get spooky around the place.

Well, rather than run and hide from the ghosts and ghouls, we've decided to totally embrace all the spooky wonder that comes with this time of year.

With that in mind, we'd like to kindly introduce you to "Exclusive Evil Spirit Gin" – a terrifying tipple, green in colour/.

The folks at Moonpig are selling a very special kind of gin, and each bottle has been individually 'cursed' by an actual witch.

Yes, an actual witch.

BSPRT16

Her name is Julianne White, and she has been a practising witch for over 20 years, and we are pretty obsessed with her.

According to the website, "This wickedly delicious gin is made with an infusion of mint, apples, and a dash of Devil’s Claw. But, these aren’t just any ingredients. The apples and mint are plucked from Pluckley, which is England’s most haunted village according to Guinness World Records. From the Watercress Woman to the farmer Edward Brett, it’s rumoured that there are at least 12 haunted spirits in this quintessentially English village."

Oh, and if that isn’t enough to send a chill down your spine, each bottle has been individually ‘cursed’ by professional witch, Ms. Julianne White. A bespoke blessing has been cast over the gin during October’s full moon to enhance the effect of her unique spell: “The blessing empowers the drinker to follow whatever their hearts desire – whether it is for good or evil”.

Please enjoy responsibly. These tantalising tipples should not be consumed during a full moon. Just as an FYI, Moonpig is not responsible if you’re transformed into a toad, zombie, or werewolf.

These exclusive and limited edition gin bottles will haunt any Halloween cocktail – how COOL?

A 20cl bottle of this exclusive Evil Spirit Gin (Alcohol by Volume: 40%) will set you back £13 – which is not too bad.

Nothing screams Christmas quite like a perfectly decorated tree and a tall glass of your favourite drink – so it was only naturally that some absolute genius would create a product that combined the two.

Introducing, the gin-filled bauble.

The Lake Distillery has just launched its collection of boozy decorations, and honestly, December can't come quick enough.

Sold in sets of six, the baubles can be filled with a choice of gin, whiskey or vodka.

The gin set includes a Cumbrian variety, a sloe gin liquor and a damson gin, all of which are made by the distillery.

The whiskey set comes with six baubles each containing the distillery's own unique blend, while the vodka selection offers a triple- distilled variety as well as caramel and espresso vodka liqueurs.

You can pick up a set (or two) at findmeagift.co.uk for £39.99 (approx. €44.56).

Looks like we're in for a very merry Christmas altogether!

It is no secret that we love a good G&T here at SHEmazing HQ, and our penchant for unicorns probably hasn't gone unnoticed either.

So imagine our delight when we discovered that there is a unicorn gin out there in the world.

Unicorn Tears Gin Liqueur combines two of our favourite things, and we need it in our lives.

Pic: Firebox

The pretty pastel bottle has an added extra we can't get enough of – iridescent sparkles distilled in with the gin.

So as well as just having adorable packaging, the gin itself has hints of unicorn magic to it.

Described as a sweeter gin, it has notes of juniper (duh), candied orange and herbs.

'Citrusy on the nose, the palate is luscious and flavoursome with an indulgent sweetness and flavours of candied orange, herbs and spice,' reads the notes description.

You can purchase the mythical substance from Firebox (though they don't ship to Ireland, so you may need to Parcel Motel it over) or from Harvey Nichols.

We'll be taking ten bottles, thanks.

Okay, so we are very aware that there are still 124 days until Christmas, but that doesn't mean we can't plan ahead.

Last year, the Gin Foundry made all our dreams come through with their gin advent calendar, and this year promises to be no different.

According to Good Housekeeping, the calendar will be back and better than ever this year, and will even include a Christmas tree flavour gin.

'Each year, we select 24 Gins that provide a snapshot of the category’s depth, diversity and global reach,' reads the product description.

'We scour countries in search of the very best, the most unusual, the most progressive and – of utmost importance – the most sublimely delicious gins.'

'The content of the Ginvent calendars is carefully curated and painstakingly considered so that all styles of gins are included, from London Dry to Old Tom, to Navy strength, Fruit infused and so on…'

Am, we'll take one for every month of the year, thanks.

But you'll have to hold your horses (or reindeer) for the time being, as there has been no confirmed date of the return, so you'll have to keep your eyes and ears peeled for the re-launch.

They were available for pre-order in September from Gin Kiosk last year, so hopefully we can get our paws on one ASAP.

Are you bored at work? Do you feel like you're not fulfilling your full potential? Looking for a change of pace?

Well, it might be time to ask for your P45, because a gin distillery in Manchester is currently offering one lucky candidate the chance to join their growing teams as a 'Gin Experience Host' – and honestly, it sounds like our dream job.

The Three Rivers is on the hunt for an outgoing gin-lover to lead tours around its distillery, as well as offering visitors an insight into how the drink is made.

What's more, the 'Gin Experience Host' will also get the opportunity to assist in the distillery, making this the perfect job for any budding gin connoisseur.

The job description, which was posted to Instagram, reads: “We have a very exciting opportunity for one lucky person to become part of our growing team at Manchester Three Rivers Gin!”

“We want someone who is passionate, dedicated and willing to learn (and loves gin!)… In exchange you will have a once in a lifetime opportunity to join an exciting and growing brand!”

Sound like you?

Just send your CV and cover letter over to cv@manchesterthreerivers.com to apply.

Obviously you'll have to make the move to Manchester (or face one hell of a commute every morning), but hey, like the ad says, it's a once in a lifetime opportunity.

There are plenty of things all offices need – Google HQ style nap pods, a fully stocked snack pantry (with free snacks, obvs) and perhaps a tipple of gin from time to time.

Galwegians are known for their amazing humour and love of the craic, and going out and having a few G&Ts is all part of the Galway charm.

Not one but two Galway businesses have taken it upon themselves to incite joy in the hearts of their employees by installing gin water coolers in their offices.

Yup, gin water coolers.

First up we have popular Galway bar An Pucan who are clearly as obsessed with gin as we are with their commitment to the stuff.

Secondly, the Connacht Hotel is getting in on the action by creating their very own cooler of the delicious spirit.

It is not known if the guys at both businesses just slapped a Gunpowder label on water gallons or actually took the time to fill them up with gin, but either way, we're inspired.

We'll be petitioning for one in our office ASAP.

The August Bank Holiday is coming up, and there is nothing more sinful than wasting a Bank Holiday doing nothing.

If you don't already have plans, don't worry, we have you covered.

If you're a fan of gin, like most of the country has become, you may want to check out this epic gin festival happening at House Dublin.

The Great Gin Fair is kicking off on August 6, and the entire place will be transformed into a 'marvellous gin emporium.'

It kind of sounds like we're about to feel like kids in a candy shop with the vast selection of gins which are set to be on display.

There will be a series of bespoke gin bars scattered around House, and we can't wait to sample them all.

Entry to the fair is free, but you will have to purchase a special currency to trade for gin samples.

The currency is called junipers (how cute) and will be available to swap for cash on the day.

We'll see you there…

So, there's no doubt that Ireland is going through somewhat of a gin renaissance at the moment.

Whether it's an elderflower G&T or a classic martini, everyone has their favourite way to enjoy the spirit of the moment.

With so many options available on the market, it can be hard to know what to go for, but lucky for us, that decision just got a whole lot easier.

Aldi's exclusive Boyle's Gin has just scooped up two awards at the International Wine & Spirits Competition in London.

Judged on its type, age and strength, Boyle's Premium Small Batch Irish Gin was awarded two silver medals – one in the Gin (London Dry – 40%) only competition, and one in the Gin & Tonic Competition.

Finbar McCarthy, Group Buying Director at Aldi Ireland said: “The International Wine & Spirits Competition recognises and pays tribute to the very finest products, so we are delighted to see our very own Boyle’s Gin win two very deserved awards.”

“It has been said that Ireland is experiencing somewhat of a gin revolution at the moment, and we’re very proud to be amongst those leading the way, with a top-quality gin at a very affordable price.”

The gin products entered into the competition were also given the opportunity to enter the Gin & Fever Tree Tonic category where an expert panel of judges then blind tasted each pairing and assessed them on how well they went together.

To ensure total fairness, each G&T comprised of one part gin and three parts tonic and no ice or garnish were used.

“We’re absolutely thrilled to have won two silver awards at the International Wine & Spirits Competition this week,” said Peter Mulryan, Director of Blackwater Distillery in Waterford.

“There is an abundance of great gin distillers throughout Ireland at the moment, and so to have our product highlighted on an international stage is a massive achievement for us. Working with Aldi has been a hugely positive experience for us as they know what their customers want, and that’s crucial to creating a successful product.”

Named after Robert Boyle of Lismore Castle, Boyle’s Gin is sold exclusively in Aldi stores priced at €24.99.

But get there quick, this stuff will surely fly off the shelves.

Our weekend just got a whole lot better, as we spotted a delightful new event doing the rounds on Facebook.

The Great Gin Fair is kicking off at House Dublin on the August Bank Holiday, and the entire place will be transformed into a 'marvellous gin emporium.'

On August 6, guests will be treated to a menagerie of bespoke pop-up gin bars throughout the stunning location, and the best part about it all?

Entrance is free.

'Our Great Gin Fair will showcase more than 80 incredible gins from home and abroad for you to choose from,' reads the Facebook event

'Our Great Gin Fair will also boast dozens of bespoke gin pop-up bars, guaranteeing that you’ll find the perfect gin for your tonic!'

'Those who are new to gin need not worry, as each one of our wonderful pop- up bars will be manned by some of the most talented bartenders (and craziest self-confessed gin aficionados) Ireland has to offer, so you can be assured they will happily point you in the right direction.'

Much like Taste of Dublin, the  gin pop bars will be operating with a special currency called Junipers.

These can be purchased in House on the day.

Each measure of gin and tonic, is 7 Junipers, or €7.00

Throughout the day, guests will enjoy live music and entertainment.

This will include a series of innovative revolving talks from gin industry experts, master distillers, and brand ambassadors, as well as fun, interactive blind tastings and gin samplings.

We are so there…

Like the rest of the country, we love a good G&T.

So when we heard that one of our favourite Galway pubs had been awarded the Great Irish Beverages award for the Best Irish G&T, we were pretty excited.

Galway haunt An Pucan has scooped the prize, following on from their success last year when they won the Connacht Cocktail Bar of the Year award.

A post shared by An Pucan (@anpucan) on

The Galway institution beat out 227 other entrants to win the esteemed prize.

So what makes their gin and tonic so special?

The refreshing drink has a unique twist compared to other G&Ts.

As well as containing Drumshanbo Gunpowder Irish Gin and Fever Tree Indian Tonic Water, an already winning combination, the drink is finished with fresh chilli and mango cubes.

A post shared by An Pucan (@anpucan) on

The now award-winning drink costs €9.00, and we're ready to splurge.

'Delighted to have won the best Gin and Tonic mix in Ireland in the Great Irish Beverage Award with our drink from @thesheddistillery massive congrats to them team and massive thanks to all you for voting,' reads a caption on the An Pucan Instagram page.

As if a trip to Galway wasn't already a good idea…
