Peter Andre and his wife Emily have been opening up about the big decision of what to name the newest addition to their family.

Peter and Emily announced the exciting news that they were expecting their third child together, Peter’s fifth, back in October.

As Emily’s due date nears closer, the pair have revealed they aren’t set on a baby name yet, but have a style in mind for their little one.

While chatting to OK! about their pregnancy so far, the couple revealed they haven’t found out the gender of the newest member of their family yet and are planning on waiting until Emily gives birth to find out the news.

Even though they’ve kept their baby’s gender a surprise, Peter is “convinced it’s a boy”, while Emily feels like she’s having a girl.

Emily admitted, “I’d probably want to find out more than Pete because I like to be organised”.

“I’ve kept everything from Millie and Theo, so I’ve got all boys clothes from nought to seven, and girls’ clothes from newborn to 10, so it would just be nice to know what to start washing!”.

“But I genuinely don’t mind at all which it is, and it’s fun trying to guess and thinking, ‘Is he or she going to look more like Pete or will they look like me?’”.

When it comes to choosing a name, the Mysterious Girl singer and his doctor wife haven’t decided on a moniker yet, but Emily revealed she likes, “traditional names that are easy to pronounce and spell”.

“We’re struggling with names, aren’t we?. When I was pregnant with Millie, we named her Rose, but when she was born, I thought, ‘She’s not a Rose,’ so we won’t decide beforehand”.

“We’ll probably have our top three or four”, Emily confirmed.

Andre penned, “We are delighted to share the news with you all. A new addition to our family in 2024. The kids are so excited. So are we”.

Peter and Emily share nine-year-old Millie and seven-year-old Theo together, while Peter is also dad to 16-year-old Princess and 18-year-old Junior from his previous relationship with Katie Price.

When opening up about his children, Peter revealed, “My children are by far my proudest achievements, they are my whole life, and this baby is a gift. When my first child was born, my whole world and purpose changed”.

“My children’s births were my proudest moments. I’ve realised everything we do in life is for our children”.

As we all know, one of the best parts of Christmas Day is the exorbitant amount of delicious food you get to eat, guilt free. After all, calories don’t count on Christmas, right? Right!

However, for those of us that have experienced the trials and tribulations that come with hosting duties, you know that you rarely get a minute to sit back and actually enjoy the spread of food you’ve spent hours and hours slaving away over — let alone have time to whip up absolutely every dish from scratch on the day itself.

That’s why we’ve created this fool-proof list of absolutely scrumptious dessert recipes perfect for the festive season. The best part? They can all be made well in advance, perfect for a (relatively) stress-free Christmas Day!

Baileys Cheesecake

A personal favourite recipe, this sumptuous cheesecake is super light yet full of that festive boozy flavour which is sure to put a smile on any dinner guest’s face. Plus you can absolutely make it one or two days in advance.

Profiteroles

So simple, yet quite impressive. You can really make these even a month in advance if you want. Make the choux buns and fill them with your cream mix before popping in the freezer. Take them out on Christmas morning to defrost, and then pour over your hot chocolate sauce before serving.

Christmas Trifle

A traditional Christmas Day dessert, and a severely underrated one in my opinion. The festive season just wouldn't be complete without my mum’s homemade sherry trifle complete with custard, jam, sponge and a hefty dose of sherry. Trifle can be made two or three days in advance, as long as it's covered in cling film and stored in the fridge or freezer.

Chocolate Cream Pie With A Graham Cracker Crust

If you’re a little less confident in the kitchen or lacking the baking skills then this is the recipe for you. You’ll absolutely love how the silky smooth, rich chocolate filling combines with the crunch crumb base in this no-bake pie. This is another one you can either make the day before hand, or make it the month before hand. Simply take it out of the freezer 10 minutes before serving to give it enough time to thaw slightly, and voilà!

Christmas Pavlova Wreath

It’s light, it’s fruity, it’s delicious! You just can’t go wrong with a pavlova. No need to get fussy about making it look perfect either, as this rustic dessert can look quite exquisite when topped with a healthy topping of mixed berries and icing sugar. You can make the base, covering it in cling-film, up to four days before serving, as long as you add your cream and berries the day of.

Tiramisu Chocolate Cake

We know people usually serve the tea and coffees after/with dessert, but have you ever tried serving coffee in the dessert? It really is a game-changer! Frankly, tiramisu only gets better with age as the flavours sink in and enhance over time, and would be just perfect if you make it two to three days before Christmas.

Gingerbread Bread Pudding with Bourbon Sauce.

These adorable little puddings look way fancier than they actually are. If you're in need of something utterly scrumptious to impress your dinner guests with this year, then we highly recommend this recipe. Simply make in advance and pop in the freezer. Take them out on the day and pop in the oven before pouring over your decadent bourbon sauce — yum.

Berry Chantilly Cake

Another fantastic option if you’re looking for something on the lighter side, after devouring your heavy turkey feast. This fruity cake is just beautiful, both in taste and appearance. If you let it rest a day before serving then the cake will be all the better for it, having let the fruity flavour seep into the sponge and chantilly frosting.

Ahead of the hectic Christmas week, we are taking every opportunity we can get to chill out and relax for a bit. So, what better way to do that than to watch a hilarious festive film?

This weekend, in honour of Christmas being just over a week away, Virgin Media One will be airing the movie Deck the Halls.

For anyone who has not seen this brilliant Christmassy comedy, the plot follows Steve Finch (Matthew Broderick), who prides himself on being the king of Christmas – which includes having the best Christmas lights in his neighbourhood.

However, when new neighbour Buddy Hall (played by Danny DeVito) vows to put as many Christmas lights on as he can to make his home visible from outer space, Steve immediately feels threatened.

Naturally, the pair's feud quickly escalates – much to the annoyance of their respective wives, Kelly (Kristin Davis) and Tia (Kristin Chenoweth). Just how far are Steve and Buddy willing to go to be named the ultimate ‘Christmas guy’?

This classic from 2006 is filled with hilarious antics, and it’s the perfect family film for this time of year!

Deck the Halls will be airing on Virgin Media One tonight (December 12) at 9pm.

Dr Ranj Singh has shone a light on how his claims of a toxic workplace at This Morning have affected his career.

Earlier this year, the TV star, who left the daytime show in 2021 after 10 years, accused the This Morning team of having a “toxic culture”. At the time, ITV’s chief executive Dame Carolyn McCall responded by stating that they “do not recognise that".

Dr Ranj’s claims came after the show’s former presenter Phillip Schofield left the series in May, when he admitted to having an affair with a younger colleague.

Phillip’s former co-host Holly Willoughby also chose to leave her role in October. This Morning has yet to announce permanent replacements for the pair.

Now, two years on from leaving the show, Dr Ranj has opened up about his experience on This Morning, and how it has since gone on to affect his career.

In his new BBC documentary, titled Imposter Syndrome, the 44-year-old detailed why he felt the need to speak out.

“For me it was the culture that had developed, in many ways about the way people were being treated and being made to feel and it wasn't good for people's mental health,” he explained.

Dr Ranj, who now has a regular role on BBC’s Morning Live, was then asked if he believes his accusations impacted his career, to which he replied: “I think so.”

“You know I was a mental health ambassador, anti-bullying ambassador on this channel, whose job it is to look after people. It's my job to say something and say, ‘Look, things aren't quite right and now we need to do something about this,’” he noted.

Dr Ranj went on to admit that he “loved [This Morning] so much”, and that it was “really painful” to leave his job.

"When you lose something you really care about you grieve for it, right? So I think there’s always going to be that sense of grief there for a while,” he added.

Laura Dern has spoken out about the possible return of Big Little Lies!

Last month, Laura’s co-star Nicole Kidman dropped a huge announcement that a third season of the hit HBO show is in the works.

Speaking at a Ladies Professional Golf Association Q&A event on November 17, the 56-year-old was asked to name some of the highlights of her career.

"[Big Little Lies] sort of came along at a time in my life when I had my children, and I was thinking I was going to retire," explained Nicole, who plays Celeste Wright in the series.

"And then this situation came along, where Reese Witherspoon and I were able to produce that show and create that show. And then all of you watched it and made it a massive success. And we will we be bringing you a third one, just FYI,” she teased, to huge cheers from the audience.

Although the actress’ bombshell has yet to be formally confirmed, one of her castmates has now chosen to weigh in on the possibility.

Laura Dern, who is known for her role as Renata Klein, addressed her thoughts on returning to Big Little Lies.

"Well, let's just say we're best friends in art and in life," she gushed in an interview with Today.com.

"And there would be nothing more fun for all of us. You know, we would have the time of our lives,” Laura added, neither confirming nor denying Nicole’s declaration.

Big Little Lies, based on the 2014 novel of the same name by Liane Moriarty, first launched as a miniseries in 2017. After sweeping the Emmy awards, the show returned for a second season in 2019, with Meryl Streep joining the cast.

However, after the death of the show’s director in 2021, actress Zoe Kravitz admitted uncertainty about a third season.

"I don't think it is [returning]," she stated on TikTok last year.

"We talked about doing a season three a lot and, unfortunately, Jean-Marc Vallée, our incredible director, passed away this last year and I just can't imagine going on without him,” she added.

Shirley Ballas has shared an insight into one of her dance-off votes!

In the tenth week of this year’s Strictly Come Dancing competition, Bad Education star Layton Williams and TV presenter Angela Scanlon found themselves in the dance-off.

In the end, Angela lost her place on the hit BBC show, as three of the judges – Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse and Anton Du Beke – voted to save Layton.

However, before Angela officially departed from the competition, head judge Shirley shockingly revealed that if her vote had been required, she would have chosen to save Angela.

At the time, the 63-year-old dance expert stated to host Tess Daly: “Well, important for me always when it comes to Ballroom and Latin is the character of the dance, that it's true to the dance, timing and quality, and I would have voted for Angela and Carlos.”

Now, as Layton and his professional partner Nikita Kuzmin prepare to perform in this Saturday’s Strictly grand final, Shirley has opened up about her reasons for initially voting against him.

Speaking on last night’s edition of companion show It Takes Two, Shirley was asked about the fateful dance-off, to which she replied: “He was lucky that the other three saved him.”

“It wasn't how I had taught American Smooth for 50 years. There were lots of things and elements missing. But I'm glad he's here now and I'm very very excited to see him in the final,” she praised further.

After being voted through by the public, Layton will now go head-to-head with two of his Strictly co-stars – Coronation Street alum Ellie Leach and EastEnders actor Bobby Brazier – to compete in this weekend’s final.

Andre Braugher’s cause of death has officially been confirmed.

On Wednesday, it was announced that the Brooklyn Nine-Nine actor had passed away on Monday, December 11, at the age of 61.

At the time, Andre’s publicist Jennifer Allen stated that he died after a “brief illness”.

Now, several days on from his death, it has been revealed by his publicist that the actor had been diagnosed with lung cancer several months ago.

Andre, who was best known for his role as Captain Raymond Holt in the hit police sitcom, had never disclosed his cancer diagnosis before his passing.

He rarely spoke of his health, only noting to the New York Times in 2014 that he had "stopped drinking alcohol and smoking years ago."

Andre, who was also known for his appearances in Homicide: Life on the Street and Men Of A Certain Age, had had a hugely successful acting career, earning him 11 Emmy Awards nominations throughout his life.

Many of his fellow stars have since expressed their shock and sadness following his death, including his former castmates from Brooklyn Nine-Nine. The comedy show concluded its run in September 2021, after being on air for eight seasons.

“I will remember all the advice you gave me. I will remember all the times we laughed because your laugh was one of the all time greatest laughs to have ever existed. I will remember the deep love and loyalty you had for your family. I will remember it every time I ask work to make time for me to be with my family,” actress Melissa Fumero penned on Instagram, known to viewers as Amy Santiago.

“You left us too soon. You taught me so much. I will be forever grateful for the experience of knowing you. Thank you for your wisdom, your advice, your kindness and your friendship,” added Terry Crews, who played sergeant Terry Jeffords.
