Fulfilling the wishes of a deceased family member is something we'd all endeavour to do if the situation arose, and Antonia Nicol's father was no different.

Following the death of his wife, Phedre Fitton, in 2013, Antonia's dad was under strict instructions to tend to her house plants – a task he took very seriously.

However, Antonia's poor dad was utterly oblivious to the fact that his late wife was busy trolling him from beyond the grave.

Taking to Twitter to share her late mum's sense of humour with the public, Antonia wrote: "Before my mum passed away, she gave my dad strict instructions to water the plants in the bathroom. He's been religiously watering them & keeping them alive."

But all wasn't as it seemed as Antonia revealed in the rest of her post, which  has been liked more than 100,000 in just two days.

"They look so amazing he decided to take them to his new home, only to discover they are plastic! Can hear my mum chuckling," she finished.

The tweet has struck a chord with thousands of people worldwide who recognised their own family members in Phedre's prank.

"There's something deeply human about it too," wrote one Twitter user. "I looked after my mum up to her passing and our humour was often jet black. Too easy to forget it. Thanks for sharing!"

"I lost my lovely mum last year, she was 85. But she would've loved that joke; my mum like yours had a wicked sense of humour," added another.

Antonia's parents were together since their teens.

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West welcomed their third child via surrogate earlier this week and their famous friends, Beyoncé and Jaz Z, have already extended their congratulations in the form of a very generous gift.

According to The Sun Online, the superstar couple gifted the newborn a $15,000 one-of-a-kind Lorraine Schwartz diamond incrusted bracelet.

The enormous act of generosity would suggest that their infamous feud has come to an end, with a source confirming the couples are “famila” once again.

The reconciliation comes after Kanye cancelled 21 dates of his 2016 Saint Pablo tour and launched a verbal attack and slated Beyoncé and Jay-Z while on stage in Sacramento.

“Kanye is over the moon as he has always considered Jay Z his ‘big brother,’ and Beyonce has always been one of his closest friends,” a source told The Sun.

“It’s only a matter of time before the play dates begin.”

Kim and Kanye are said to be delighted at the arrival of their healthy and beautiful baby girl.

The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star reveal the news on her app on Tuesday writing: “She’s here! We’re so in love.”

“Kanye and I are happy to announce the arrival of our healthy, beautiful baby girl.”

“We are incredibly grateful to our surrogate who made our dreams come true with the greatest gift one could give and to our wonderful doctors and nurses for their special care.”

If there are two things we can't get enough of, it's chocolate and anything that comes in the shade millennial pink.

Luckily, KitKat has combined the two, using a new revelation in the chocolate industry.

The chocolate is naturally that shade, thanks to an innovation by Swiss cacao producer Barry Callebaut.

The producer created 'ruby chocolate,' which gets it's natural rosy colour from ruby cacao beans, which have a distinct, fruity flavour.

'I am extremely honoured to be a part of this landmark moment in the history of chocolate, with which I have worked intimately for over thirty years,' said Chef Takagi, the inventor of the pink chocolate.

'I have created an especially simple KitKat that allows you to enjoy the characteristic fruity fragrance and subtle acidity of ruby cacao to the fullest.'

The Ruby KitKats are being rolled out across Japan and Korea in time for Valentines Day, where they are being marketed as the ideal gift for your loved one.

The pink chocolate will also be available online.

The ideal Valentine's gift for yourself, perhaps?

In response to hearing that a woman had been the victim of sex trafficking, one Irish man responded by asking: "Do you do everything? French kissing? Anal?"

This callous disregard for sex workers has been highlighted in a hard-hitting campaign which seeks to raise awareness of multi-city sex trafficking across Europe.

Coordinated by a number of European organisations, including Ruhama in Dublin, A Penny for Your Thoughts tells the story of a fictional prostitute named Andreaa, who reached out to the public for help after disclosing the heartwrenching details of her descent into prostitution.

A number of posters advertising Andreaa's number were placed in various spots around Dublin, and those who wished to avail of her 'services' were greeted with a voicemail message from Andreaa, who initially promised 'loads of fun'.

However; the message quickly alerted callers to the appalling situation Andreaa has found herself, and finished with a plea for help.

"I don't want to be here anymore, but I don't know what to do," Andreaa admitted. "What do you think? Please leave me a message and tell me."

Over the course of four days, the advertisement received 759 calls, 314 texts and 37 voicemails, with a staggering 68 per cent of callers happy to disregard Andreaa's plea for help, and turn instead to the services she provides.

According to the The Independent, Ruhama's Sarah Benson is adamant the reaction to Andreaa's story is indicative of the dehumanising nature of prostitution.

"We were immediately struck by the extent to which sex buyers saw ‘Andreea’ more as a service or a product, rather than an actual person," Sarah said.

“The language they used and the way they communicated with ‘Andreea’ just confirms to us the dehumanising nature of prostitution that so many of the women we support describe experiencing.”

"Prostitution and sex trafficking are forms of violence against women and girls, and Ruhama saw this campaign as the perfect opportunity to raise awareness of the exploitation and abuse that women and girls experience in Ireland’s sex trade."

In recent months, there has been much discussion surrounding the use of heavy makeup and photoshop by celebrities and online influencers to disguise their skin.

First, YouTuber Em Ford uploaded a video exposing the nasty comments she receives when she shows her bare skin on social media compared to when she posts snaps in perfect makeup.

Then, Irish influencer Rosie Connolly offered solace to her followers who suffer from acne by sharing her own bare faced selfie, and discussing how she felt about her skin.

A post shared by Rosie Connolly (@rosieconxxx) on

'My skin issues do not define me, they do not make me "ugly", they are nothing to be ashamed of and for that reason, I'm sharing with you all,' she wrote at the time.

Only last week, Kendall Jenner was shamed for photoshopping, after snaps of her from the Golden Globes of her appeared online showing her acne, which were then compared to flawless images of her uploaded my makeup artists on social media.

Her response? Well, check it out for yourself:

Model Belle Lucia, who has over one million followers on Instagram, also shared a side by side snap of her skin in the past week.

'I'm posting this to hopefully help those out there suffering with acne or anyone worrying about the way they look because when I was young I wish someone would have told me that your looks don't define you and even the "models" you see on advertisements aren't perfect,' she wrote.

She also told fans that her acne impacted her self esteem so badly that it was the catalyst which stopped her pursuing modelling when she was younger.

Now, audiences of these strong women are are refusing to buy into the idea that for skin to be acceptable, it must be blemish free.

A new movement is happening on Instagram, under the hashtag #SkinPositivity.

Here, men and women are sharing snaps of themselves makeup free in a bid to embrace the skin they are in.

A post shared by Em Ford (@mypaleskinblog) on

Much like the body positivity community, skin positivity is sending the message that whether your skin is dry, oily or acne speckled, it's beautiful and worthy of being seen by the world.

The aim is to encourage people to feel that they don't have to cover up their skin, and to help people realise that often times, images online can be airbrushed, shot under perfect lighting, and generally not representative of the majority.

It's definitely a movement we can get behind.

Ticket touting has become a major problem in the events industry over the past few years.

Too often, genuine fans are forced to pay extortionate fees to see their favourite act live on stage after touts quickly snap up the sought-after tickets.

The ongoing issue has prompted some artists to take matters into their own hands, with Ed Sheeran famously cancelling 10,000 tickets that were being re-sold at rip-off prices last year.

However, it looks like touting could soon be a thing of the past with the launch of Ticketmaster's new 'Verified Fan' system.

Concert-goers will now be required to register three to 10 days before tickets go on sale with the length of time set to vary depending on the popularity of the event.

They will also be asked to provide their name, phone number and email address so the system can “run a series of algorithms” to predict how likely they are to attend the show.

Ticketmaster's Head of Music David Marcus explained the process to Newstalk's Jess Kelly:

“If we predict that you are going to go to the show, you get invited to purchase the tickets in a pre-sale. If we think that you are going to sell it, we don’t invite you.”

While the news has been welcomed by the vast majority of music lovers, some have argued that the system could potentially prioritise fans who have previously bought tickets or merchandise for the artist in question.

However, David ensured that “the system does not try to rank fans based on how big a fan they are”.

“That question is not asked. It is simply do we think they are likely to resell,” he said.

“We are the biggest ticket seller in the world. We have got a lot of insights about what fan behaviour looks like and what reseller behaviour looks like. The last point I want to make is; it is not a guarantee of a ticket. It is an invitation to purchase.”

It is not yet know when exactly the system will be introduced, though it is expected to be rolled out over the the next year.

The full interview with David Marcus can be heard on Newstalk's 'Tech Talk with Jess Kelly' this Sunday at 6pm.

The #MeToo movement has grabbed international attention, raising awareness of the rampant level of sexual harassment and sexism in modern society.

Now, one makeup company has spotted an opportunity to develop the concept into a cosmetics line.

Hard Candy Makeup has applied to trademark #MeToo for the purpose of developing fragrances and makeup, according to TMZ.

According to the gossip site, the trademark has yet to be accepted.

However, we're thinking that it's not all that ethical to benefit financially from a hashtag that raises awareness for sexual assault victims.

According to TMZ, the CEO of Hard Candy Makeup intends to 'give back to women worldwide' with the application.

It's not clear whether this means that the proceeds from the collection would go to the #MeToo campaign, but here's to hoping.

An 'industry source' told TMZ that this is the intention.

"It’s not just actresses. It’s teachers; it’s lawyers," so said Keira Knightley when discussing the pervasive nature of sexual violence and harassment during a recent interview with Variety.

While discussing the fall-out from the Weinstein scandal, the British actress, who shares one child with husband James Righton, was eager to highlight the fact that harassment of this nature is not unique to certain circles.

Keira, who worked with Weinstein on The Imitation Game and Begin Again, confirmed that her relationship with the director was never anything but professional, insisting: "He certainly never asked me for massages or anything like that."

However, the 32-year-old wasn't fortunate enough to escape the unwanted attention of other men over the course of her life, and stresses that it's something most women will have experienced, asserting: "I think everyone has battled their fair share of monsters."

"I’m fortunate that I’ve never been sexually abused professionally or harassed on a film set, but in my personal life, when I’ve been in bars, I can count four times when I’ve been what I’d say was assaulted in a minor way," she revealed.

Eager to clarify her remark, Keira added: "I’m not talking about rape, but I’m talking about the people who had been grabbed in pubs or their breasts had been fondled by somebody they didn’t know or they’d had someone shove a hand up their skirt."

The #MeToo and #TimesUp campaign have been making strides in their attempts to give a voice to the marginalised and those who have been the victim of sexual harassment or assault.

Earlier this week, the music industry was left reeling when news broke that Dolores O'Riordan had passed away.

The Limerick-native, who rose to fame as a member of The Cranberries in the early 90s, was found dead in a London hotel on Monday January 15.

Tributes poured in from all corners of the globe, with fellow musicians and ardent music fans taking to social media to express their regret over the singer's untimely passing at the age of 46.

Having joined the band D.A.R.K  in 2014, a whole new generation of music lovers were exposed to Dolores's distinctive voice, and the mother-of-three formed a romantic relationship with her band mate Olé Korestsky.

Olé paid tribute to Dolores on the band's official website this week, writing: "My friend, partner and the love of my life is gone."

"My heart is broken and it is beyond repair. Dolores is beautiful. Her art is beautiful, Her family is beautiful. The energy she continues to radiate is undeniable."

Grief stricken, Olé painted a devastating picture of the future, adding: "I will continue to stumble around this planet for some time knowing well there's no real place for me here now."

Dolores's death is not being treated as suspicious.

It seems like every celebrity worth their salt has released a makeup or beauty line these days.

From bonafide A-Listers like Kim Kardashian to lower-tier reality stars, embossing your name on a beauty collection is one way to maintain relevancy in an industry renowned for it's fickle nature.

The latest celeb to announce their makeup collection is Lindsay Lohan.

A post shared by Lindsay Lohan (@lindsaylohan) on

One a silver-screen starlet, Lindsay's struggles with substance abuse and her recent defence of Harvey Weinstein have seen her reputation tarnished over the past few years, but clearly the actress is angling for a comeback.

Speaking on the Wendy Williams Show, Lindsay revealed that she has a beauty line in the works.

'I have a lipstick, beauty line coming out,' she told Wendy, before moving on to discuss why the actress enjoys living in Dubai.

A post shared by Lindsay Lohan (@lindsaylohan) on

However, the interview does not circle back to Lindsay's revelation about her line, and it is unclear whether the collection will only be available in Dubai, where the actress lives and is developing the brand, or whether it will have an international launch.

Product shots shown on the show portray six lipstick shades and two compacts in silver packaging.

Perhaps it;s still a project under construction?
