So let's face facts: today is shiiiiiite. 

The long weekend is but a distant memory, and most of us are still a bit shook from day drinking in the sun. 

Anyway, we all really needed a pick-me-up today, and we have it baby! 

The gorgeous GORGEOUS humans at Glossier have announced that they will be shipping to Ireland as of May 15th.

*wipes away happy tears*

No matter how much you might try to plan a birth, fate sometimes has to intervene. 

Haley Lindsey was excited and nervous to be nearing the due date with her first baby. But there was one issue, her husband, Brooks, was still deployed overseas with the US army. 

Her water broke on Friday morning and Brooks raced to a plane. By the time he landed in Dallas, Haley was 5 centimetres dilated and ready to push. 

Brooks had been planning on hopping on the 3.55 flight back to Mississippi, but he was delayed for two hours. 

Worried that Brooks might not be present at the birth of his daughter, his mother had a brain wave- why not FaceTime him? 

She snook the camera in under her shirt so Brooks could see what was going on. As Haley began to push the doctor realised that they were being recorded and saw Brooks face on the screen. 

"Brooks was telling me it was okay, and I was doing so good and I heard him wincing and saying ‘wow!’ through my pushes," Haley told Love What Matters. "I could hear people in the airport talking and cheering!

"Brooks then went on to say that they were making him board and needed to get off as soon as she finally started to crown and all I remember was my Doctor screaming ‘Don’t let him board the flight! She’s here! She’s here!’ So, the airport personnel let him sit there and watch till it was over!" 

Sitting on the floor crying, Brooks was snapped by a fellow passenger, whose picture soon went viral. 

Eventually, Brooks landed and raced to the hospital to meet the new arrival. Look at how cute they are! 

We're so glad that he got to spend some special time with his new baby.

Last night, the famous Met Gala took place in New York City.

The 70th annual Ball was themed Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination.

As you can only imagine, the style on display at this year's event was amazing (and sometimes a little outrageous!) 

From insane baroque numbers, to actual angel wings, the celebrity guests went all out.

So with that, I made a lil quiz, so you can see which iconic look is you all over.

The queen of coo-girl style, Kate Moss looked like a vision at the Met Gala.

Opting for a fallen angel inspired mini-dress, Kate rocked a pared-back look compared to many on the red carpet. 

Her laid-back interpretation of the theme, Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination, meant that her ensemble stood out in a sea of gold-embroidered tulle and heavily embellished head pieces.

The nation has been left devastated following the death of Michael Stokes, a teenager who captured the hearts of the public when he appeared on RTÉ’s Room To Improve.

It is understood that 15-year-old Michael passed away peacefully at Temple Street Children’s Hospital after a tragic accident.

The teenager featured on a 2016 episode of Room To Improve. Dermot Bannon and co. transformed his foster parents home to make it more wheelchair-friendly for the teen.

Tributes have been pouring in since the news of Michael’s passing. Ryan Tubridy honoured the teenager in a touching Instagram post this morning, “I post this with a heavy heart as the magic whirlwind, Michael Stokes died on Saturday aged 15.”

The presenter added, “He was an unforgettable soul and we are all so sad today. Thinking of Ann, Barry and all Michael’s family and friends. The world is that bit diminished without him.”

The Irish Wheelchair Association tweeted, “It is with much sorrow that IWA has heard of the passing of our junior member Michael Stokes. An active member of our Youth Services, Michael graced all with his big heart and personality. He brought joy to all around him and will be greatly missed by his friends in IWA.”

St. Michael’s House shared, “We are very sad to give Michael Stokes to the Angels this weekend. He was a treasure to all who knew him in St.Michaels House. Sincere sympathies to his loving family from our Board, staff and all his friends.”

Michael's funeral is due to take place at 10 am tomorrow at the Church of the Sacred Heart, Seabury, Malahide, Dublin.

Today, Tuesday marks the deadline for people to register to vote in the upcoming referendum to repeal or maintain the current Eighth Amendment.

Anyone who is not registered needs to complete an RFA2 form, have it signed and witnessed at a garda station, and then return it by post or by hand to a local city or county council.

You cannot register online.

You will require a form RFA2 if you are not currently on the electoral register.

Form RFA3 needs to be filled if you have changed your address and wish to vote at your new address.

Form RFA5 is required if you have now become an Irish citizen and wish to be eligible to vote in all elections or referendums.

People are only eligible to vote in referendums if they are an Irish citizen living in the Republic of Ireland, or have been out of the country for less than 18 months.

Do not forget the completed form must be brought to your local Garda station, along with valid photo ID. 

To complete the process, the form will need to be signed and stamped with the station stamp, by a member of Gardai.

Application forms are available from local authorities or on the checktheregister.ie website.

It comes as figures from the National Youth Council of Ireland (NYCI) show up to 150,000 young people are not registered to vote.

A plethora of medical professionals, obstetricians and maternal medicine specialists have come out in favour of voting Yes in the referendum to repeal the 8th amendment. 

The Together For Yes campaign have brought some of these professionals together to discuss their thoughts and opinions on the medical landscape in Ireland under the 8th in a poignant video. 

Dr Peter Boylan, Chair of the Institute of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists, tells the viewers of the video: 'The 8th amendment makes it difficult for us to treat women with compassion, and give them the proper care that they need. 

Dr Rhona Mahony, Consultant in fetal medicine, Holles Street Dr Jen Donnelly and the Rotunda Professor Mary Higgins, Consultant Obstetrician and specialist in high-risk maternal medicine at Holles Street echo his sentiment with stories of their own. 

'Every week I have to break the news to women that their babies might have a significant medical condition that is going to impact on their lives, and in some cases will result in death' says Dr Jen Donnelly, Consultant in Obstetrics & Maternal Fetal Medicine specialist.

'This never gets easier to do.'

Global advocation groups such as Amnesty International have labelled the 8th Amendment as 'cruel, inhuman and degrading treatment' towards women. 

However others feel that the amendment offers the highest protection to women and does not jeopardise their right to life. 

Today, May 8th, is the last day to register to vote in the upcoming referendum.

Last night, the world's judgmental eyes were on the sartorial stylings of celebs on the Met Gala red carpet. 

With the statement theme being 'Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination,' plenty of cebes went all out in angel wings, rosary beads and religious iconography. 

Kylie Jenner made her red carpet debut since the birth of her first child Stormi, and while she didn't exactly emulate the theme of the night, she looked sleek and elegant.

 The 20-year-old got a bit of slack for her simple look, but while she may not have been screaming 'Catholic imagination' her figure certainly looked heavenly in her slim cut black dress. 

The most stand-out aspect of her gown was the cut out under her breasts (under boob is very in at the moment to be fair). 

The cut was a welcome addition to the swathe of black velvet, and while her dress was branded as boring by much of the fashion press, we think it's the most wearable of the night.

These days, time is precious.

We have less time, but more to do. Packed diaries, to-do lists that are full to the brim; we are quite happy to be busy but we do wish we could find a way to fit in more of the things that really matter to us – or that would make a big difference to others.

The Ginterns will be responsible for "leading juniper-related activities, partnering with local gin societies and spreading their love of gin and Sipsmith far and wide," the brand explains.

Sorry but if that doesn't sound like a dream job – I don't know what does. 

Another part of the role? Travelling around various music festivals, spreading the gin love everywhere you go. 

A number of former interns have successfully secured full time roles in the company, and one of them recently chatted to Cosmopolitan.

The Met Gala is one of fashion's biggest nights out, with the guest list hand curated by Anna Wintour herself. 

The celebs come out in force, adhering to the theme of the evening and oozing amped up glamour. 

There are always style hits and misses, but this year it was a beauty fluff-up that had everyone talking. 

Selena Gomez stepped onto the Met Gala red carpet in a stunning layered Coach gown, complete with lace accents. 

However, it was her orange, sticky-looking tan that caught the internet's attention.  

Selena looked a little bit too tangoed for her spray tan to be un-clockable, but hey, we've all bee on the receiving end of a liberally laden tanning mitt, haven't we?

Ryan Murphy is reportedly in the process of developing a television series about the #MeToo movement. 

According to the New Yorker, the series will be called Consent and will follow a format similar to that of Black Mirror, whereby each episode would tell a different story with new characters. 

The #MeToo movement was created in response to a string of high profile sexual abuse allegations, as way of encouraging people to open the conversation and provide support for victims who have suffered in silence for too long. 

It's been reported that the anthology will feature episodes on disgraced Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein and actor Kevin Spacey's sexual misconduct allegations.

Another episode is set to detail an ambiguous "he-said-she-said" scenario. 

The project has not been backed by FX or Netflix as of yet, though this is probably due to the fact that Murphy just left FX and his Netflix deal doesn’t officially begin until July. 

Either way, we hope to see Consent on our screen in the near future.
