There are always one or two nail trends doing the rounds on Instagram, and the Unistella Nail Trend page is where nail art lovers can find the beginnings of most of them.

We noticed a new style emerging on the Unistella page, and we're kind of obsessed with it.

Dubbed the high heel nail by the nail salon, these gorgeous and wonderfully simple nails are the stuff of minimalist dreams.

The concept is pretty simple, the nails have a thick stripe in the centre, usually with negative space on either side to mimic a high heel.

Some styles do the opposite, with a strip of negative space sandwiched between pillars of colour.

Some of the nail artists at Unistella have also incorporated the wire nail trend into the look, blending the two trends in the coolest way.

This look is best left to the professionals, but if you're dying to get the high heel nail look, try using masking tape or contouring tape to cover up the areas that you want to be negative space, and paint the rest.

When you peel off the masking tape, you should be left with clean lines just like the ones at Unistella.

Here's a few more of our faves:

While the snow falling outside might make a nice hot chocolate the beverage of choice, there is never a bad time for a cool glass of wine.

There is nothing nicer than having a few glasses of rose with the girls, but sometimes when guests arrive their bottles are more room-temperature than pleasantly chilled.

Thankfully, we stumbled upon a nifty little way to cool down a glass of wine without having to go for ice cubes, which water down a good glass of vino.

Simply swapping out the water in the ice cubes for wine is the answer, to create wine cubes.

The cubes will melt into your beverage, but instead of making it watery, will simply add more wine! It's a win win.

All a girl has to do is fill a basic ice cube tray with rose or white wine and let it freeze for 24 hours, so if there is a party or girly gathering coming up, these cubes would go down a treat.

You can make them look extra appealing by adding fruit such as berries or mint leaves, or even edible flower petals to the wine before freezing, so they will look super pretty in the glasses.

If you happen to have wine left over after a party, this is a great way to use up those last half-glass measures that are left in the bottles without simply throwing them away or letting them go to waste.

Red wine can also be frozen if you're not in the mood to finish the bottle, according to the Williamson Winery

Red wine ice cubes can then be used in cooking at a later date, added to marinara sauces to add a richness of flavour or used in the pan when cooking up a nice steak.

Who knew our favourite beverages could be so versatile?

With her plump pout, hourglass figure and sexy outfits, none of can deny the fact that Betty Boop is a feminist cartoon icon.

Before Marilyn Monroe and Jessica Rabbit, Betty Boop paved the way as a figure of liberation and empowerment.

That is why we are so excited to hear about MAC's latest collaboration with the animated icon, which is set to launch on Valentine's day.

On February 14, M.A.C. Cosmetics will pay homage to Max Fleischer’s feminist creation with an exclusive red lippy named after Betty.

The lipstick is a bright crimson shade, very similar to Ruby Woo, and seems perfectly fitting for this pin-up princess.

The product will be sold exclusively online, and we are expecting a total sell out!

Snow has been falling in various parts of the country as temperatures dropped this week.

Dublin is currently getting a dose of cold weather as snow is falling on the capitol today.

As snow is such a rarity in Ireland, Twitter is already blowing up with excitement.

According to Met Eireann, this weekend is set to be freezing cold, and people are warned to expect "cold with some clear spells and dry apart from isolated wintry showers."

“Lowest air temperatures of zero to -3 to degrees with a sharp to severe frost and some icy patches.”

We're secretly hoping the snow will stick around for a day or two, but drivers should take caution in icy conditions.

The only thing that can ruin Valentine's Day for everyone involved is those smug sappy couples who post hundreds of pictures of their Valentine's date, which usually involves heinous acts like riding tandem bicycles and feeding each other while talking in baby voices.

This kind of behaviour is cringey AF, and we've spotted the ultimate ensemble that we think those loved-up saps would die to don.

Boohoo, €18.00

This jumper is literally as cringey as it gets.

First off, jumpers with arrows pointing to each other saying bae and boo are bad enough on their own, but to make it a conjoined jumper?

There is literally no escaping the cringe.

Boohoo €18.00

For couples who aren't a fan of red but still lust after a tandem straightjacket of love, there is a pink version which might actually be sappier than the first.

Complete with a smattering of V-Day hearts, the pink version reads "Bae My Valentine."

Why world, why?

Just last week we raved about navy hair becoming one of springs biggest hair trends.

Now teenage makeup mogul Kylie Jenner has taken some inspiration from her past and reached for a navy wig to rock the look.

The reality TV star previously debuted navy locks back in 2015, but she's clearly not obver the blue-black hue.

Kylie has had every hair colour under the sun, from blonde to green to teal, but we love the wearability of the navy shade.

From the most subtle sheen to full on navy blue, this hair colour is destined to freshen up tired, wintry locks.

Taking to Snapchat (of course) Kylie flaunted the lush look with wig stylist Tokyo Stylez before jetting off to New York to launch her latest pop-up, and hinted that the two were working on a secret project.

We're wondering if the duo are working on a set of wigs, so people can copy Kylie's looks without the commitment.

We know which shade we would opt for.

Last night's Valentine's Day special edition of the Late Late Show was definitely memorable to say the least.

The show opened with Al Porter and Linda Martin performing a rockstar rendition, and the entire Late Late audience was on their feet on stage performing a dance routine with them.

Some of the audience members were a lot more enthusiastic than others, but the synchronised routine was just the first of many cheesy surprises.

While the show was borderline cringe, that's what happens when you try to get a bunch of Irish people involved in romance, and we kind of loved it.

One of the best things about watching a special like this is the Twitter chat, and some of the commentary on last night's show was priceless.

1. He could be right you know.

2. Amazing isn't the word.

3. We can't imagine the heads on them today.

4. The marraige announcement though!

5. Some were left hankering for the old days.

6. So being perpetually single is ok now?

7. The aftermath.

8. Avert your eyes Nan!

9. We've recieved worse d*** pics tbh.

10. The realest thing on Twitter right now.

Among the many, many theories we’ve been encouraged to internalise as young women, it appears that the one about not having sex on a first date has really proven its longevity.

In much the same way The Boy Who Cried Wolf aimed to discourage dishonesty among children, the story of The Gal Who Gave It Up On the First Date was created as a cautionary tale directed solely at single women.

The story goes that a woman who has sex on a first date has no chance of seeing that bloke again, will spend countless nights waiting by the phone wondering what went wrong before eventually stumbling across his marriage announcement in a national newspaper.

(His bethrothed will, of course, wait until their wedding night before the big event.)

Handed down from generation to generation, the tale mournfully insists that the girl who gives it up won't get the guy.

But, here's the thing, maybe she doesn't want to.

Maybe she only wants sex. Maybe he only wants sex. Or maybe it has absolutely no bearing on the future of the relationship when both parties have (rightfully) moved beyond the scare tactics of those who have gone before us.

Suffice to say, our male counterparts were rarely subjected to the same diatribe; with the vast majority told, instead, to go out and sow their wild oats before settling down.

And who were they to sow them with, exactly? Well, that would be the single women who should know better than to have sex on a first date, most likely.

And the cycle continues.

While there’s little doubt that the narrative has been diluted in recent decades – hardly surprising considering we live in an age when you can swipe and shag without ever making it to the first ‘date’ –  it would be folly to suggest that it has disappeared completely.

This week alone, numerous headlines have raised the question as to whether sex on a first date would make or break a possible union, while recent research has been devoted to examining whether engaging in the no-pants-dance ‘too early’ has the potential to ruin a burgeoning romance.

And while the vast majority of us insist that those cautionary tales have little effect on our decision to get down and dirty on Date One, there is a lingering fear –  among some of us – that those very tales hold more than a grain of truth.

Why else would women still discuss the ‘third-date rule’ in 2017?  Why else would some of us wonder if our long-term partner ever reflected on our decision to do it on Date One? And why else does research into the topic still garner press attention?

Simply put, it's because some deep-seated notions just aren’t that easy to shake off.

And yet in a time when rape culture is ever-prevalent and in some dark corners of societies even celebrated, it beggars belief that judgement regarding the act of consensual sex is still making headlines.

Whether it’s the first or forty-first date, if it’s consensual, why is it even up for discussion?

Ah, HERE now.

Back dimples are cute and everything but would you really put yourself through surgery just to have them?

Some women are.

Yep, just when we thought we reached peak-cosmetic enhancements; back dimples are coming up in the trend books and we don't know what to think.

Apparently, Venus dimples, as they've been coined, are a sign of good health and a good sex life (what?), so if you have them, you're a lucky sucker.

According to Cosmo, some people are fishing out five grand for them already and that price is expected to grow.

What will be next? *Sighs*

It's all about love tonight on the annual Valentine's Day version of the Late Late show.

Host Ryan Tubridy will be playing cupid again this year, as a number of singles join him on the show to find their one true love.

In the romantic special, 200 singles from all over Ireland will be in the audience hoping that their perfect match is in the room too.

There will be dating games and all sorts of Valentine's-themed malarkey going on, and Ryan will catch up with Dave, one of last years romantic hopefuls.

Presenter Ryan will be joined by a host of familiar faces, as the likes of social media influencer James Kavanagh,  radio host Bernard O’Shea and presenter Bláthnaid Ní Chofaigh will be on stage to chat candidly about love, sex and relationships.

Crystal Swing and Dickie Rock will be on hand to serenade the audience, and in a slightly eccentric turn of events, Linda Martin and Al Porter will collaborate on an 80’s rockstar performance.

Speaking about the love of sport, Cork camogie all star Ashling Thompson will also be on hand to discuss her amazing return to the pitch after a severe car crash left doctor wondering if she would ever be able to play the beloved game again.

The Late Late Show Valentine’s Special kicks off tonight at 9.35pm on RTE One, and we're already boiling the kettle in preparation.

With every year, comes at least four or five weddings you have to attend.

And even though they're great craic, it can be a bit stressful too. What to wear? How to travel to and from? What present to get the newlyweds?

Well, Domino's has just answered the latter part of your prayers.

Yes, Domino's.

The fast food giant has legit launched a wedding registry… because, pizza is always the better option, right?

Any cheese-lovin', pizza-poppin' couple would adore this and it actually has some pretty sweet wedding-deals.

You can either sponsor the hen party for around 60 quid, give the men a '2am Bachelor Party Feast' or treat the newly-married couple to a 'Post-Honeymoon Adjustment To Real Life' pizza.

We'd say many married couples would prefer this as a present opposed to… well, silverware.
