When it comes into the summer season, we feel like we need a complete overhaul of our make-up bags.

Our usual foundation and contour palette is now too heavy, our mascara has gone clumpy, and our fave lipsticks are now at the bottom of their barrels.

We want to look super fresh and dewy every dayum day, OK?

Thankfully, there is a new high summer makeup collection on the shelves to make us feel like we have an Instagram Story filter on us at all times.

When it comes to contouring, we want something handy to pop in our handbags, and wet n wild®'s new contour compact is exactly what the doctor ordered.

This summer is absolutely jam-packed with festivals, and we're predicting that a handy little compact like this will fit perfectly in our festival handbags.

The complementary contouring powders define your bone structure and highlights your best features, without making you looked caked, so it's pretty much a win win.

We all know that mascara is the key to a perfectly defined eye makeup look, but we're not down with breaking the bank when it comes to experimenting with eye products.

Keeping with wet n wild®'s new high summer collection, we're pretty intrigued by their new Cat Eye mascara.

The fan brush is tapered to avoid clumps, but promises to add a dramatic edge to any look. The non-stick formula ensures that lashes stay separate, as well as helping to strengthen your lashes.

We know we've already mentioned festival makeup, but chipped nails at a three-day music haven with no access to your nail technician is a beauty blunder we'd rather avoid.

The wet n wild® Wondergel nail polish promises to last up to two weeks, so it's perfect if you have a few events on at the same time over the summer months.

When it comes to shades, the selection doesn't disappoint either. (We have our colour on for the past week, and there's not a chip in sight, FYI.)

Some days, we're ALL for leaving our face bare and just heading out with a touch of lipstick on to add a little flush of colour to a pared-back look.

Thankfully, another of wet n wild®'s high summer products are helping us maintain or summer makeup goals with their curated selection of Mega Last lip colours.

The semi-matte finish is super soft on the lips, and its new polymer complex means your smackers will stay super soft and hydrated.

The colours are gorgeous too, with everything from a light coral hue to deep purple.

Whether you're hitting the town, or hitting the beach, or heading to any of the Irish festivals, affordable makeup is always a winner.

Stashing a few of these bits in your bag to top up your fresh summer look is a complete no-brainer.

A 27-year-old model has claimed she was fired from a job with Hyundai for being on her period.

Last month, Rachel Rickert was working at the New York International Auto Show, greeting guest at the Hyundai stand when she was told she was not allowed to take a toilet break for three hours.

Now, we all know the struggle of not having access to a bathroom during that time of the month, but actually being told you can not go is the stuff of nightmares.

As a result of this odd rule, Rachel wasn't able to remove her tampon and so she bled through her clothes – a black dress and back tights.

She told her talent rep, Erika Seifred, that she would need a fresh set of clothes and time to clean up, but according to her US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission complaint, Hyundai suggested the model go home because of her ''period situation''.

Rachel protested as she was being paid by the hour and wanted to earn her full amount, but was told she would not be able to carry on working.

Two days later, the talent rep called Rachel to inform her that she would not be returning to her role.

According to the EEOC complaint, ''Hyundai heard about Ms. Rickert having her menstrual cycle and they didn't want Ms. Rickert representing the company anymore.”

Speaking to the New York Post, the model admitted it was a huge shock.

“She called me and pretty much told me that Hyundai didn't want me representing them anymore at the show because they got word of my menstrual cycle,”

“You’re not a robot. You have to use the bathroom especially when you’re on your period. They just act like we’re not human. I’m not going to be ashamed or shamed of having my period,” she said.

Rachel claims she has not been paid at all for the work that she did and is outraged at how the company handled the situation.

“I’m not going to let someone tell me I can’t have my period when I work. It’s unacceptable.”

So, earlier this week Donald Trump baffled the internet with a confusing tweet that quite frankly made no sense what so ever – or did it?

The tweet has since been deleted, but mystery around ''covfefe'' remains.

It seems that Trump may have been trying to type the word ''coverage'' but accidentally drifted off mid-tweet.

Hey, it happens to all of us. But at least we don't have 30 million Twitter followers watching our every move.

The president later responded to the confusion by challenging his followers to figure out the true meaning of ''covfefe''.

We haven't a clue, but do you know who probably does? Xiaxue, the blogger from Singapore, who stunned Twitter this week after posting a picture of what looked like the nonsense word tattooed across her forearm.

Fans were shocked and everyone was left asking the same question – WHY?

We can all calm down though as it turns out the whole thing was a hoax and the blogger had actually cleverly drawn the tattoo using liquid eyeliner.

Speaking to the Press Association Xiaxue said, “I think the word itself is really cute and there was a lot of hype over it so I thought I’ll draw it to get a reaction.''

“The reactions have ranged from people liking it to people telling me I’m super stupid.''

“Meanwhile I’m just sitting here and enjoying the reactions.”

She also shared her theory about the meaning of ''covfefe'' saying, “I think it’s not a typo but a deliberate act meant to create conversation and buzz and at the same time humanise him.”

Perhaps the same reason Xiaxue chose to play the joke on her followers? Either way, she has us all fooled.

Who decided that having a gap between you thighs was thing to strive for?

Our hips and thighs and the strongest and often largest part of our bodies, so why on earth are we made to believe they should be as small as possible?

Body positivity blogger, Kenzie Brenna, wants us to turn that 'ideal' on it's head and is encouraging women everywhere  to embrace their 'mermaid thighs'.

The Canadian blogger has had enough of women stressing over whether or not the top of their legs touch and recently took to Instagram to post a series of pictures of herself addressed the issue.

(Gasp I know multiple posts within just a few hours, hi hello ) For today's #selflovebootcamp we explore the topic of the dreaded thigh gap. These posts still get to me! Even after a year on this journey. But, here we go YOU DONT NEED NEGATIVE SPACE TO BE VALUED I'm so grateful that last year I came across @nourishandeat and @bodyposipanda because I DID have that goal, I wanted to take up less space in the world and I wanted to be thin in the right spots and "phat" in the right spots. Turns out my body isn't made out of plastic parts and I couldn't transfer fat from my thighs to my boobs or ass (at least not w out a lot of money and time ) I didn't know #mermaidthighs could be celebrated because I never ever saw that shit being embraced until I SEARCHED FOR IT. Guess what! You're allowed to take up space in the world, you're allowed to have knocked knees and big thighs. You're allowed to gain weight. You're allowed to not just have weight gain in the "acceptable" places. You're allowed to not fit into the status quo and still feel fly as fuck. You make the rules Happy Monday my fellow babes. #thunderthighs #bigthighsbighearts #endbodyshame #mybodymyrules #ilovemyself #evenwhenitshard

Ed Sheeran's highly anticipated episode of Carpool Karaoke is just around the corner, and a preview of the video has just been revealed online.

Tickets for Ariana Grande's Manchester benefit concert, One Love Manchester, went on sale this morning but sold out in just six minutes.

General admission tickets cost £40 each, with much of the proceeds going toward the We Love Manchester Fund.

However, people were outraged to find tickets being sold on eBay for up to £200 mere hours after tickets had gone on sale.

According to reports, eBay have denied that they allow the sale of any tickets on the site, and promised that all tickets for the event will be automatically removed.

"We don’t allow the sale of any type of ticket on eBay so these will be removed automatically. All tickets for this event will most certainly be removed by the team who are doing manual sweeps to pick up any that slip through.

"We also aren’t allowing the sale of ANY item which profits in any way from the tragedy in Manchester. All of these items are being removed if they appear. Customers can give at checkout to the Manchester fund via the Red Cross."

Ticketmaster have also come out to say they are ''cancelling tickets of those who are reselling wherever possible.''

The three-hour long concert will be held at Manchester's Old Trafford cricket ground on Sunday, June 4, almost two weeks after the attack at the Manchester Arena took place.

Coldplay, Take That, Niall Horan, Usher, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus and Pharell William will all join Ariana on stage in an effort to to raise much needed proceeds and pay tribute to victims and their families.

For those of us not lucky enough to be there, the three-hour long show will air on BBC on Sunday night from 7:15pm, and donations can be mage through the We Love Manchester JustGiving page.

Zara has a trophy item every season, a piece that flies off the shelves thanks to it's chic, staple style credentials.

This month, Instagram has been saturated with a certain Zara biker jacket, and we're jumping on the hype.

It's the colour of the jacket that really catches the eye, with the soft faux leather adopting a pastel pink hue.

A post shared by LARA IRA. (@lara_ira) on

You may recall this jacket's cousins of style seasons past, which came in blue and mustard and dominated the high street during their reign.

However, it's now summer and pastels are the way forward, plus adding a pale shade to a tough edgy piece like a leather biker jacket is one way to a girly softness to the look.

A post shared by Paulina Krolikowska (@nomen.rosae) on

The jacket is undoubtedly gorge, and thanks to the fact that the leather is faux, it's also relatively inexpensive.

The jacket comes in at €59.95, which for a staple jacket is a pretty good investment.

You better grab this trophy piece by the lapels before it sells out, because if Instagram is anything to go by, this jacket is the must-have piece for summer.

Whether you spread it on toast or slurp it directly off the spoon, there is no doubting that Nutella is an exceptionally delicious chocolate treat.

If you are lucky enough to reside in Chicago (or maybe you're jetting over there on your J1) then you're in for the biggest treat of all, as Ferrero is now opening their first restaurant, the Nutella Cafe.

The cafejust opened up, and we're already plotting a trip to the States to coincide with our cheat days.

The menu boasts mouthwatering items such as warm, grilled baguettes with Nutella and roasted hazelnut and blueberry granola with yoghurt and Nutella.

There will also be Italian specialties like Panzanella fruit salad, and gelato with Nutella.

A post shared by Jenny Colacci (@jennycolacci) on

There will also be certain menu items without the hazelnut spread, but we're not sure why.

The restaurant is located right by Chicago's famous Millennium Park, so if you're in the area, get yourself down there.

Until then, we'll be munching on our toast while dreaming wistfully of all the Nutella recipes we'd love to be sampling…
