If anyone remembers going to Fitz Zone or Kidzone as a child, then you'll remember the big ball pool that you'd just launch yourself into.

We had hours of fun, and didn't want to leave the ball pit when our mothers came to collect us.

Well, if you're still a kid at heart, then you'll love this event coming to Dublin next month.

Innocent Drinks are delighting us all by installing a giant adult ball pool for an entire weekend.

From July 28 to 30, Merrion Square will have an nostalgic overhaul , and we can finally all act like we're five-years-old again.

There's even going to be an Innocent Green, where people can enjoy a game of tip the can, rounders and fruit pong (which we're interested to try out).

You must be over 16 to attend and Innocent are advising people to book in early to avoid disappointment.

Vera Twomey became well known in Ireland after she walked from Cork to the Dáil in Dublin in order for her daughter to receive medical treatment with medical cannabis in Ireland.

Her daughter, Ava, has a severe epilepsy condition called Dravet Syndrome, and cannabis oil has been proven to ease the harsh symptoms.

However, her calls went unheard in Ireland, and last month the mother revealed she would have to travel in order to get the treatment her daughter needs.

Well, Vera shared a video online last night announcing that her daughter will start her cannabis treatment tomorrow in Holland.

She posted a video to Facebook explaining that Ava will receive her first dose of CBD and THC medication this morning.

Smiling, Vera told her friends and family, "I'm looking forward to getting going with it.

"We'll begin Ava on the combination of CBD and THC. We were given a number of other supplements to help Ava in the long term.

"The most important thing anyway is that Ava has gained access to medical CBD and medical TCH over here in the Netherlands by a doctor."

Vera continued to say that doctors in Holland couldn't believe how she was treated in Ireland.

"I've met a number of doctors, I've met a number of nurses, all of which are confused and appalled at the fact that medical CBD and THC combined are not part of a possible treatment for patients like Ava."

We're delighted Ava is on her way to receiving the treatment she needs.

Online dating is nothing new.

People have been developing relationships via the internet ever since the first dial-up connection changed our lives forever.

However, a few years ago, a dating app called Tinder came crashing onto scene and changed the way we saw potential partners for evermore.

Unlike most online dating platforms, Tinder would only allow two users to chat if they had both expressed an interest in one another, meaning rejection and pitty texting are a thing of the past.

No one ever has to know you've swiped right, unless they have as well – it's a beautiful thing.

However, that could all be about to change.

The dating app today announced the introduction of a feature that will allow users to view how many pending likes they have at any given time.

You can then scroll through a grid of all the people who have already expressed interest in them, or, if swiping the old-fashioned way, a gold heart will appear next to the profile of someone who has already liked you.

But, there's a catch.

This feature is only available on the app's new premium service, Tinder Gold.

It's not yet clear how much this service will cost, but according to TechCrunch, a spokesperson for the company said it will be “only a small additional fee” for those who are already Tinder Plus members (€9.99/ month).

The feature is currently being tested in Argentina, Australia, Canada and Mexico, but developers are planning for the service to be rolled out everywhere in the near future.

There's no doubt 2017 will go down in history as the year the humble G&T was reborn – and you won't see us complaining.

Bars across the country have played a huge part in Ireland's gin renaissance, with many putting their own twist on the classic drink.

Whether its an elder flower tonic or a sprig of fresh mint, every gin lover knows exactly what it takes to make their perfect G&T, and nows there's an event to celebrate this delicate art form.

This Thursday, June 29, The Headline Bar and Ha'Penny Gin are offering their customers the ultimate gin experience, complete with Ireland's first live botanical wall.

Those attending the event will be able to customise their G&T with whatever combination of fresh herbs their heart desires, before choosing a fruity garnish at the citrus area.

And as if that wasn't enough, attendees will then indulge in some glorious G&T cupcakes from the Cupcake Bloke and cheese boards.

Gin, good. Cupcakes, good. Cheese, good!

Tickets are free and are available to download through the event page.

Cheers!

According to emerging reports, an appeals court in Sweden has considered the sentences of three men who livestreamed the rape of woman earlier this year, and ultimately decided to increase their time behind bars.

It has been established that the Svea Court of Appeal increased one sentence from 28 to 32 months, the next from 12 to 16 months and the final from six to eight months.

The victim of the rape, whose attack was shared live on a closed Facebook group in January of this year, was deemed to be 'under heavy influence' and therefore unable to consent to sex – a ruling which contradicted the claims of the three men at the centre of the attack.

Police attention was drawn to the incident after a member of the public disclosed that she had seen the live streaming of an alleged gang rape within a closed group on the social networking site.

Communicating the nature of the footage to authorities, the 21-year-old woman told police that a man, who appeared in the video, laughed and said: "You have been raped."

The three men, who are aged between 19 and 25, were arrested north of Stockholm.

Be honest; what do you think when you think Gilmore Girls? Conneticut, community and coffee, right?

The show's characters, who made a long-awaited return to the screen courtesy of Netflix last year, appeared equally, if not more, addicted to caffeine than the entire cast of Friends combined.

But it doesn't sound like the obsession ended with the snap of the director's clapper board as the show's diner-owner, Luke, has revealed he is set to launch his very own coffee brand in real life.

During a recent interview which focussed on his career thus far and plans for the future, Scott Patterson revealed: "I'm developing my own coffee brand. It's going to be called Scotty P's Big Mug Coffee"

In a move which is sure to delight diehard Gilmore Girls fans, he admitted that the endeavour is almost at fruition, saying: "We're almost ready to launch, but we want to have our ducks in a row before we come out with it."

"Quality coffee is something that I am obsessed with," the 58-year-old actor explained. "It's the thing I look forward to every morning and throughout the day and throughout the evening and now throughout the middle of the night."

With the success of Luke's Diner pop-up shops, we're fairly sure there'll be mucho excitement over Scotty P's Big Mug Coffee…

Ah London.

The weather may not be much better than our own, but you've got to admit, the skyline is pretty spectacular.

However, it can be easy to forget this when you're wandering down a packed Oxford Street surrounded by a sea of concrete.

Well, get ready to experience London from a whole new perspective because Zip World are bringing a double zip line to the English capital, allowing you to catch those birds-eye views from 115 feet high.

And that's not all – the ride will be 225-metres-long, making it the fastest city-centre zip line in the world.

Those brave enough to take the ride will be able to see London Eye, Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, the Gherkin, and The Shard as they fly over the city at 50 mph.

Zip World London opens on 6 July for 12 weeks and tickets are on sale now.

We think we can all admit that the style on RTÉ's Six One News isn't the most… daring.

We're usually just welcomed with a suit jacket or blazer (which is all well and good – we're not there for the fashion).

However, long-time newscaster, Sharon Ní Bheoláin, dared to be different last night and wore a cropped-sleeved leather jacket, zipped all the way up to her neck.

We think Sharon looks really well, and we're glad that she decided to jump out of the newscaster box and show off her own style.

And of course, Twitter was all over it:

If you have a real fear of needles, you may be happy to know that bracing yourself for that pinch may soon become a thing of the past.

According to emerging reports, researchers in the United States are currently developing technology which may see a small pain-free patch act as an alternative to the traditional jab.

It is understood that the patch is comprised of microneedles, which contain a vaccine, and ultimately allow the wearer to vaccinate themselves.

After approximately 20 minutes, the microneedles will be dissolved by the body's moisture and the patch can then be removed from the wearer's skin.

Commenting on the new technology, Nadine Rouphael, associate professor of medicine at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, explained that the development provides a cheaper alternative.

"Dissolvable microneedle patches could potentially simplify the delivery of influenza vaccines," she said.

"The patch could be safely applied by participants themselves, meaning we could envisage vaccination at home, in the work place, or even via mail distribution. These advantages could reduce the cost of the flu vaccine and potentially increase coverage."

An investigation into the public's response to the technology has been published in The Lancet journal and established that 70 per cent of those who participated preferred the patch to the more traditional syringe application.
